Love Nimble Fitness. One of the owners Jason did an assessment on me for three sessions and then paired me up with a great trainer. Ive been working with Andre for coming up in six months and completely love the experience. I feel better, can play my competitive sports at a higher level due to better strength and fitness, and am very pleased with my decision to join Nimble. Just wish I did it earlier. Highly recommend. Andre Mendoza is an exceptional trainer. I’ve known him for years and was aware of his mixed martial arts background. During a conversation about my fitness goals, he mentioned his role as a trainer, and I decided to train with him.
Andre is highly knowledgeable and attentive. He tailors workouts to my skill level, ensuring they are challenging yet safe, with a strong emphasis on proper stretching and technique to prevent injuries. Nimble is an outstanding gym, the best of the four I’ve experienced. Can’t say enough great things about my experience with Nimble and Coach Jason. I started coming here because I wanted to regain lost range of motion due to an injury and just get into better shape. I was never into weight lifting but enjoyed cardio and being active. The training and coaching I’ve received has been amazing and I am a convert to weight training and body weight resistance exercise, and can honestly say I’ve never done the same routine twice, which keeps things interesting and me motivated. I'm being coming to Nimble for a few months now and I've been working out with Coach Andre. The protocol and how Coach Andre delivers it has been transformative for me. I was used to jumping right into the heavy lifting and in general more intense side of HIIT. It was never sustainable. I'm learning that there is a better way to warm up, slowly build up over time, recover properly and most importantly pay a lot of attention to form. This is longest I've ever stuck with a workout, coach or gym.

Nimble Fitness is an outstanding training facility. I trained there for a a few years pre -covid and most recently since July. I love working out here with Charlie! I have been working out on my own for years and I felt stagnant in my routine. Adding personal training sessions with Charlie has really enhanced my body and mind. He couples exercises together really well for maximum effectiveness and to meet your own goals. He also emphasizes stretching before and after each session. Charlie will help you warm up so that you can push your body safely. He also helps you cool down after the workout to release tension in your muscles. The cool down consists of various assisted stretches and targeting areas with the theragun. Highly recommend.

Nimble is a nice gym. Everyone is doing some sort of one on one work out class and sharing the space comfortably. I have been there at many hours of the day and it is never too crowded. The facilities are well kept. A lot of great equipment of all kinds. There are showers so you can go before work. They have shower products and provide towels. The other trainers and staff are very friendly.

The Summary: Personal attention, flexibility in scheduling, friendly attitude, clean environment, and (of course) a resulting effective work out. I work out with Ian Kurtz and I love it.

The Juice: This is a great little gym and I was in a pretty abysmal post-pandemic shape when I first joined. My first consultation with Daniel Lucas was thorough, personable, effective. He picked a trainer he felt was best suited for my goals. I have been coming for a couple of years by now and I work with Ian Kurtz. It is a no-nonsense work out, very functional movement, often incorporating multiple parts of the body. By now we have focused on a few areas that needed work. Ian is diligent in addressing pain-points (literal and metaphorical) by investigating the issue and tailoring the approach, depending on the cause. As an athlete, he has great personal understanding of and great tips on how to work with what you've got - being able to stay physically active and engaged through your preferred activities even if your body is giving you a bit of flack at the moment.

I suffered from severe backpain in my first pregnancy and a friend recommended Jason as he had helped her during hers. I can say Jason saved me. His method is very gentle, he listens and adapts to what you want to fix/relieve and you dont really understand how it works but it works. Not only did he fix my back he helped me keep functioning abs and pelvic floor and i delivered a 9 pound baby in 30minutes - the nurses said they couldnt believe how much strength i had in my abs (and i do not usually have a strong core). So needless to tell you ive been seeing him again for my second and im due in 2 weeks and have no back pain and ready to deliver that baby in record time! Woudl also recommend him for post partum follow up.

I started working with Nimble about 4 months ago. After my initial consultation with Jason (one of the owners), he was able to quickly identify my individual postural issues and areas of weakness. I started going twice a week, and I’ve noticed a big difference in my body—not just in the way I look, but in the way I feel. I’m stronger, experience less back pain, and feel (and look) much more fit. Jason specifically is great to work with. I have been working out at Nimble for years and I love going there. I always feel comfortable and the space is immaculately clean - something that I feel is really important in a gym. The staff is very accommodating, and somehow they manage to never make you feel that the space is overcrowded, even when every "slot" is full. Although I work out with an outside trainer, I have become friendly with many of the training staff at Nimble, and I can see from how they interact with their clients that they are attentive, energetic and efficient. I've struggled with posture for a long time and muscle pain in my back for years due to long sitting at work. Like many during the pandemic, I focused on other areas of life and struggled with my fitness goals. I contacted Nimble for an assessment and initially met with Keith, who helped me understand what was happening with my body and explain the program that could address those issues. Keith really listened, was incredibly genuine, and never pushed the "sale." I signed up the next day. I started working with Eden, and in a blink, it's been nearly a year and a half, and I have been progressing toward and exceeding many of my fitness goals. After a few months, we began to correct the imbalance that caused my back pain, and I have seen areas of improvement in posture, muscle definition, and mass. I love working with Eden. This was my first experience with a trainer and it was an amazing. When I started working with Keith, I was recovering from a knee injury and working with a physical therapist to address my problem knee. The best! I'm an OG, having trained with Nimble since they opened their doors in 2006. Started working with Daniel 25 years ago when he coaxed me off my couch and into a life of movement and fitness (100 miles of walking/week). 2 years ago I fractured/dislocated 9 bones in my legs and suffered considerable soft tissue damage in a car accident. I was hospitalized for 4 months, pretty sure I'd never walk again. Daniel was sure I would and started working with me in the hospital. Oh how I am grateful to have found Nimble when I did! I wasn't sure what to expect from a personal training-only gym, but Daniel, Kaz, and team have been fantastic. I was charged for rehab therapy after experiencing stroke 11 years ago by the hospital industry but it was never actually delivered to me. In recent years, I have used yoga and fitness classes of various types to continue my recovery, Then I met Jason Pulido, co-owner of Nimble, and after a one hour intake assessment, he scooed out my needs and goals and has been giving me exactly the physical and occupational therapy I needed at the outset of TBI to address the weakness on my left side consequent to my illness. I enjoyed membership at a chain studio and unlimited classes all week, but Jason's individualized care has given me renewed incentive and hope about continuing progress and recovery many years after injury. I hope to work with him regularly into the future, to full restoration of movement in my affected arm and hand.

When I moved away from New York, Daniel, my trainer at Nimble, suggested that we could do our sessions via FaceTime. We've worked virtually for the last 9 months and it has been every bit as fantastic as coming to the Nimble studio to work out for the 2 years prior. Daniel adapted my gym workout to use objects I have around my house, and the continuity has been seamless. I highly recommend Nimble, especially for people who have a hurdle or two to get over on their way to feeling better. Daniel has patiently helped me through a couple of long-held injuries; he's a magician when it comes to making pain go away. Occasionally I'll walk into a session limping and stiff and within a few hours will find that the problem has completely gone away. On top of that, everyone at Nimble is kind and attentive and tuned in to what's best for you.

I had a previous injury that had finally healed and wanted to get back to exercising on a regular routine and get in shape for my wedding. I researched a number of personal training facilities but Nimble Fitness stood out to me as a place that seemed to really know their stuff so I scheduled a consultation.

Daniel promptly reached out to me and we scheduled a session. I was very impressed with his knowledge and attention to detail. We did an assessment and I scheduled a number of sessions.

I worked with another trainer Norris twice a week for a number of months. He was very knowledgable and friendly as well. My exercise was 100% tailored to my needs. I had great results and couldn't of asked for a better experience.

When I ended my sessions Norris created a routine for me to continue working with based upon my needs and resources.

I also recommended a friend who worked with Daniel and Norris as well and got a free session which is a nice gesture. He had a similar experience as myself.

I reached out to Nimble Fitness back in January of 2018 for personal training because i had some new health issues that required close attention while working out. I was paired with Jason, one of the owners, and he brought me in for a courtesy evaluation. I had a good feeling about Jason, so I bought a few sessions and started training twice a week with Jason. It has been about 15 months now since I began training with Jason. In what I accomplish in one hour with him, would probably take me 3 days in a gym. Every session has a different game plan. It is never the same and we are always targeting different muscle areas in different combinations and with different techniques. Due to my health issue, Jason pays attention and makes sure that even though I want to work out a bit harder, I don't push myself to the point of passing out. On the flip side though, he keeps me accountable and does not let me cut corners, which is something I need.

In addition to being a knowledgeable trainer, Jason has helped me with my eating habits, guiding me with what “healthy foods” are actually healthy, pressing me to decrease my drinking and taking a genuine interest in my nutrition.

Putting aside my experience, in the sessions I visit the gym, I see a handful of regulars who seem to have great relationships with their trainers and who have been there since before I was going to Nimble.

Working out at Nimble has definitely changed my body and my way of living. I am much stronger, fit and eat much healthier. I would recommend Jason and any of the other trainers at Nimble without hesitation.

I've been working one-on-one with one of their personal trainers, and it's been a great experience all around. They've helped address some of my underlying weaknesses that needed attention, have been careful not to exacerbate any of my old injuries, and have been pushing me forward towards better and more well-rounded fitness--which, as anyone who's been on the bench for a long time after an injury knows, is not easy.

I've had a personal trainer for a few years at Nimble. Now it's Christina, who I see once a week. The owner (or co-owner) Daniel is there as well, training someone else, and I know he keeps a watchful eye on me. Christina always asks how I am feeling that day and quickly adjusts her planned routine according to what I tell her. She pushes me to do more than I think I can do, which is what I need. A few years ago I had a problem with my hip that dragged on, and, aside from my husband, Daniel was the one constant helping me deal with the problem. There were many doctors and practitioners, but only Daniel had the overall picture.

I walked into Nimble one day 2 years ago when I saw a flier for a free assessment - and I'm so glad I did! I've tried a few different gyms over the years, and always ended up quitting because I didn't enjoy the atmosphere - I felt intimidated or even unwelcome. But Nimble is different. There's a super friendly and professional front desk staff (shout out to Grace, Will, and Elizabeth!) who make you feel welcome and are always happy to see you. There's absolutely no hard sell, no 500 year contract you can't get out of, no pressure to add classes or sessions that you don't want to add. Just smart, knowledgeable, positive people encouraging you to believe in yourself as much as they believe in you. There's an extensive intake process, which is designed to help match each client's personality, goals, and fitness style to the right trainer. It's very thoughtfully done, and that's how I ended up working with one of the partners, Jason Pulido.

Since I started working with Jason, I actually like exercising! (Jason, if you read this - this does not include mountain climbers!) After years of only running when being chased, I'm running 3-4 days a week, plus looking forward to getting out of bed and going to the gym. For a former couch potato, this is a huge and very welcome change. In addition, Jason has extensive knowledge of anatomy, rehabilitation, and kinesiology which adds a depth and thoughtfulness to our sessions. I had an old knee injury that made me afraid to run, jump, or kick - all things I now do on a regular basis with no pain. I'm stronger, healthier, and more confident since I started working out at Nimble.

The new St Mark's space is beautiful - brand new equipment, spotlessly clean, bright and sunny! Both locations are just really pleasant, happy places to work out in - even when I show up sleepy and cranky, I leave happy...and a little sore! I cannot recommend Nimble enough.

I tried TRX while on vacation in Mexico and thought it was really great so was excited to try it in NYC at Nimble. Nimble lives up to the online reviews! Terrell's class on Monday PM was awesome - there were about 8 people there so it's a semi-private. This specific class would be good for any ability, although seemed best for someone with some TRX experience. In terms of the facility, Nimble has a small private feel and the staff is really nice, clean, etc. They seem to be really focusing on TRX and doing that well.

I had a great Experience at my Monday night TRX class. The facilities were clean and there was plenty of space in the studio. Terrell's class was more intense than I anticipated, but he did a great job keeping everyone motivated and making sure all of the exercises were scalable up and down depending on ability. On top of that, the prices are very fair for NYC. I will be back.
