We recently signed our daughter up for gymnastics and it has been such a wonderful experience! From the very first class, the coaches were welcoming, patient, and encouraging. They make learning fun while still teaching the skills and discipline of gymnastics. My daughter looks forward to every class and although she’s only been to a few classes so far, she is already growing in confidence, strength, and coordination. The facility is clean, safe, and well-organized, and I love the positive, supportive environment they create for the kids. We are so glad we joined and can’t wait to see her continue to learn and thrive here!

Things have been terrific here! My daughter is 5 and loves when I pick her up on Thursday after school and gets so excited because it’s gymnastics night. She loves going and checking in with Penny. She loves the coaches and remembers all their names..She recently got recognized for Courage with a huge banner because she moved up to a bigger class, she couldn’t have done that without all the great coaching she has had in 1 year

We absolutely love it here. My daughter is 3 and has been doing gymnastics since she turned 2. We started at a gym in the Boston area, and we moved to the capital region at the beginning of summer. We did a summer program at another gym in the area and felt like the program was lacking in structure and teaching the kids any real gymnastics skills. We came from a really good gym, so we knew what a program for young kids could look like. I toured at Northeast and spoke with the owner, Kim. I asked her what he programing looked like and I was instantly impressed. She's been doing this for a long time and has a well-defined strategy, and believes in teaching young kids gymnastics skills, modified for their age group, but challenging them. At this gym, the coaches also really get to know the kids and work with them on where each individual kid is at in their development. My daughter's teacher is Coach Amber and the kids ADORE her. She clearly enjoys working with kids and knows her gymnastics. It's been a pleasure watching my daughter blossom here and I am happy I signed up for the year commitment.

I love this place! I spent many days and evenings at Northeast as a former gymnast and coach. The coaching staff here are committed to growing athletes in mind and body, emphasizing the whole individual. They instill the importance of positive character traits and attitudes, while developing personal relationships to the point where more than 30 years later, I am still in communication with the coaching staff. I visit the gym when I am in the area and am always pleased to see the great work happening there. I would highly recommend enrolling a child in any of the programs offered here!

Northeast Gym was my second home growing up as a competitive gymnast and a coach. Throughout my ten years there I gained valuable life experiences and coaching skills. I learned everything from keeping a clean gym to spotting a back handspring.
The experiences I gained there allowed me to be successful in life and as a coach in several other gyms as I moved around the country. I couldn't have asked for better mentors. And I know those strong values still hold true at Northeast today and would recommend them to anyone.

I ended up being very disappointed by this place. My last impression of them was very sad, they seem to think they are in a higher position of diagnosis than my sons optometrist, and occupational therapist.

I brought up an issue where he was struggling to land on 2 feet after the trampoline and when this happened how he was told he won't be able to do open gym anymore if he keeps falling because they thought he was doing it on purpose. I explained he has a diagnosed depth perception visual impairment and needs support and encouragement rather than just telling him he has to be able to do it. This is a place where they are meant to learn to stick a landing, and sometimes kids need additional support.

Unfortunately, this happened during his birthday party. He spent most of his party coming to me so sad and discouraged that he couldn't do it, and wanting to just give up and go home.

His actual pre-k coach was amazing and I brought up the issue for her class and she understood. In her class it was never a problem anyways, she always just had him go back and try again and gave him support to get it right. I'd give her alone 5 stars.

This open gym experience with the other coaches seemed to affect his love for gymnastics even with his amazing coach. He didn't want to go at all anymore. I let the school know the situation and that's where things got really disappointing. I was told that they have been doing this for 50 years, and therefore they know the difference between a real disability and someone trying to make themselves fall. (This young coach had not been around for 50 years and that never gives you more diagnosable power than an actual vision test)

I responded back to that email saying I hope I'm understanding this email wrong and what they meant was not that they think they know better than my sons optometrist and occupational therapist, that can both see the depth perception issue. This got no response back. 2 weeks later I responding to the email again saying I can only assume by no response that that is what was meant by that and that that is truly disappointing. That also got no response.

Something that may of been a temporary leave, will now be permanent. If my son decides to try gymnastics again, it will not be here after that.

We just had my daughters birthday party here. All of the kids had a really awesome time. Many parents told me after that their kids had a blast. The girls kept all the kids busy and for a rather larger group of kids they seemed to keep them all moving and focused on the obstacles. I over heard one of the girls calling the children by name at the end and I was shocked they were able to know all the kids names so quickly! The only negative I can say which at the end of the day isn’t huge was the location of the actual party part. It isn’t really a room but in the hallway. So the parents couldn’t really be with the kids during it. But honestly at the end of the day it wasn’t a big deal because the girls really tried to help all the kids if they needed something anyways. I guess I just wasn’t expecting it. But it wouldn’t stop me from doing it again. It was nice to have the viewing room to watch all the kids as well during the party. My daughter was happy with her first kids party and it will definitely be something to remember! If I could add one tiny recommendation for the facility would be to have the form either able to send out to parents ahead of time to do digitally or do it on paper to speed things up. Again not the end of the world just a suggestion. 😊

I’ve had such a positive experience with Northeast Institute of Gymnastics! I enrolled my 3 year old in summer classes and we enjoyed it so much that we decided to put her in a weekly Tumblekids class throughout the school year. The coaches have all been fantastic. It’s a place where kids learn WAY more than just gymnastics, but the gymnastics skills they do learn are taught in a fun and structured way. My daughter came into this program at not quite 4 years old, timid with trying some of the exercises, a good listener but definitely not as good as now! It is now a year later, she listens well to the coaches, pays attention and enjoys herself safely ! We LOVE THE COACHES here. They are stern but not mean, as they need to be! What an amazing and supportive team! We are so grateful for coach Kim who encourages my kiddo every week to grow as a person and as a gymnast. She understands children, is patient, firm in a kind way, and is so in tune with the kiddos. Wow!! What a amazing venue and incredible hosts with prices you can’t beat. From set up to clean up they had it taken care of. The party was a great experience that my 4 year and her pals can’t stop talking about, my 2 year old even had a blast! This is a wonderful place for my son. He looks forward to his gymnastics classes and he loves all the different routines each week. He is doing wonderful at following multi step directions, he is gaining strength and his balance is improving. He likes that there are only a few kids in his class. We have been beyond happy with our time at Northeast Gymnastics. The coaches manage the classes and individual behaviors very appropriately and professionally, all while providing individualized instruction and great encouragement. His strength, coordination, and confidence have grown tremendously since starting class in January. They are doing an excellent job handling safety protocols related to Covid. We do not feel comfortable with indoor dining, but we do feel comfortable continuing to send our son to Ninja Warrior class at Northeast. My daughter recently started tumbling class and absolutely loves it!! The facility is both safe and clean, and the staff is wonderful. My daughter's tumbling instructor is kind, attentive, and supportive. We've been to other facilities, but this is the first gym my daughter has been excited each week to go to. I highly recommend!!

Our daughter had her 9th birthday party at Northeast Institute of Gymnastics and she LOVED it and ALL of the kids we invited (a mixture of boys and girls ranging in age from 4 up to 10 years old) loved it too. Every parent told me later that their kids went home and were excited and enthusiastic about their experience (and nice and tired!). The instructor was fun and creative and kept the kids busy and challenged. The equipment was thoroughly cleaned before and after and the kids were kept apart enough to be safe, but also were fully able to interact, joke and goof around. It was a great way to keep kids busy for a fun birthday experience and not have to do any of the work!! :D

My daughter started taking lessons at Northeast Gymnastics when they were safely allowed to reopen this summer. The staff is friendly and nurturing which has been ideal for my daughter who is generally pretty shy around new people. We have both felt safe and happy with the quality of the lessons as well as the procedures in place to keep everyone healthy. I would recommend to anyone that is looking for a Fun and Safe outlet for their children, especially during these uncertain times.

And very clean. The Northeast Institute of Gymnastics is going above and beyond the CDC regulations to keep their students healthy and safe. Also, Angelina comes home each day with a new skill or an improved upon skill which is always our goal; improvement and instruction based on skill level versus age level. So far my experience at The Northeast Institute of Gymnastics has been positive and encouraging. The coaches recognize that Angelina has a lot of potential and they push her to reach her potential.

My daughter has been a member of the Northeast family for several years and even enjoyed her sixth birthday there. We are very happy with the fun and professional instruction our daughter is receiving. We know that she is building skills, making friends and having a great time in a safe and friendly environment. During the Spring, when they couldn’t be together in the gym, Kim and her staff continued to provide quality instruction through online classes. Tuesday was my daughter's first class with Kim and she had a blast! I am so happy I chose northeast. They have really took the precautions to make sure the environment was safe for everyone involved. When we signed up for the class, there were multiple emails on how they would ensure the cleanliness of the facility. The communication I had with kim was excellent. Once we got there the day of the class, we were greeted at the front door where my daughter's temperature was taken. Parents are to remain masked, and teachers were masked as well. As we walked to the gym area, my daughter was asked to take off her shoes and put her feet in a sanitizing solution before walking on the mat. I felt very safe in the facility and felt confident in the maintenance of my daughter's health. There were many signs to maintain social distancing around the facility. Even during the class, there were stars on the floor for where the children would sit which also maintained social distancing throughout the entire class. At the end of the class, all children were provided hand sanitizer and they all left happy. My daughter cannot wait to go back next week! We love it here already.

My son (4.5) has been in the little kids class for 4 months now and I couldn't be happier. Although my son probably isn't the most coordinated, athletic, or focused kid, he likes the class and is learning. The staff is really nice and shows the kids how to do things, instead of just expecting them to figure it out or not really try. I love that they are using little steps to lead the kids towards growing their abilities and encouraging them along the way. I can definitely recommend Northeast Gymnastics and have found it to be a step above the other little kids gym classes that we've done. Thank you for a quality class!

Kim and her staff are great. My daughter has been attending North East for 5 years now and has gained confidence and new skills. I am amazed at how much progress she made. The gym is well maintained and the coaches provide excellent instruction. I wanted a class where they learn and that is what you get. The summer camp and the vacation camps are great too.

Our daughter has attended Northeast Gymnastics since she was 3 - starting in a Mommy and Me class. She is now 14 and still continues to take gymnastic classes at Northeast. She enjoys the class, the other girls and the instructors. She is appropriately and safely challenged, motivated, encouraged and instructed as to technique, Our daughter plays multiple other sports and we believe that her strength, flexibility and agility have been enhanced by the core conditioning through gymnastics. We also believe that this has attributed greatly to her ability to play these other sports injury free. We would highly recommend Northeast Gymnastics to all those interested in gymnastics or those interested in core conditioning.

I started at this gym when I was 7, and competed all the way through high school. It was more than just gymnastics, I learned so many life skills in every practice.

I was a part of the Northeast competitive team for the past five years and have been part of the coaching staff for four. I have nothing but positive things to say about the way this business is run. I have been coached by highly trained professionals and am privileged to have learned from them over the years. The staff has done a fantastic job making gymnastics a fun experience while incorporating skills such as teamwork, time management, perseverance, and discipline.
