The Ocean Breeze Track and Field Athletic Complex is a 135,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art IAAF-certified indoor track and field facility in Ocean Breeze, Park Staten Island. The facility was the first of itβs kind in the United States.

I went to an indoor stadium on Staten Island for a local sports competition. Honestly, I didnβt expect much, but it turned out to be pretty nice! The atmosphere was chill, the event was well organized, and the crowd was into it. Nothing fancy, but it was a good experience overall. I'd come again!

Good for badminton. Impossible to pickleball due to floor textures, the ball does not bounce properly. Bring your own equipment, they only had one badminton net, 3 pickleball nets. Maybe stingy on ac? It's too hot.

This facility is always well kept, but parking is a major issue. Especially during large events. Alot of spaces are being wasted on large shipping containers, and they give tickets to people who park on the side of them even though the vehicle is not obstructing the flow of traffic coming in and out of the parking lot. Shame on them. They should be more compassionate.

Great for HS athletes, worst bleachers I've ever sat in. They are so steep and there is very little room for your legs. 2 days after meet, my knees are very sore. I never have knee problems otherwise. Would have been better off standing for 4hrs.

Security staff are so rude to parents. They give this place a feeling of a jail complex. 6 year old kids are forcibly separated from the parents to navigate a huge facility with thousands of people during races. Not enough normal staff to direct people and too many rikers-attitude overzealous security guards. One woman security guard must hate all families, the way she was yelling at me and my child.

If you have an EV vehicle and would like to charge it during a track event you are screwed. They allow city employees (who charge for over an hour and use other public stations designated for the public as opposed to stations that are only allowed to be used by city employees). 311 and the complex itself are absolutely no help. The complex has very rude staff that offers zero solutions.

Was here for a meet on Saturday for my kids. Even though they had electric car chargers available, they did not let me park inside the facility. The beach parking lots did not have a single electric charging station. So much hype about the NY state government promoting electric cars, no action!

Very clean, affordable, spacious and comfortable facility! Conveniently located across from the beach, a great way to cool down after a workout. Staff have always been friendly and available to help, never had a problem.
While the recreation rooms could be bigger, there is plenty of equipment and space for anything you might want to do at a rec center. Plenty of water foundations throughout the facility.
Track season throughout the year does make the hours of operation confusing at times, but the rec center usually has a schedule you can take with you with the specific hours listed on a calendar.
The facility also has very clean showers, locker rooms, and multi purpose rooms with a large variety of equipment (some for fitness activities and some for desks or programs).
No wifi and difficult to find cell signal on the ground level. Recommend downloading music or videos if that's what helps you workout.
Parking - free and covered right in front. plenty of spots. charging available for electric vehicles as well. parking is also available across the street at the beach lot if it does become full.
Membership - from the parks department. seniors, veterans, IDNYC card holders, and people with disabilities get discounted annual memberships. youth (under 24) get free annual memberships. adult price is either $100 or $150 based on whether or not you want pool access.
Love what they do for the local community, such as donation drives, family activity programs, and park cleanups. Also - regular competition and recreation team opportunities to sign up for, especially in the summer!
Bonus? You might see some horses, groundhogs or deer on your way out!

This is my happy place. My home away from home. The fitness instructors are amazing and all the workers are amazing as well. The members are all very kind people who just want to work out, socialize and have way too much fun. During track season they cut down on some things but this gym is so reasonably priced you really canβt complain!

this is an athletic complex of the Olympic reserve. running, relay, long and high jump competitions are held here. I personally attended a class competition - Ocean breeze Elite 4*200. enjoyed what I saw. I recommend!

Wasn't bad But the park officer that was giving directions to where the buses should park wasn't accurate where the port a johns we're, to relieve your self a bus driver has to walk 1/2 a mile away, and the senior citizens sometimes can't hold it.
The directions we're clear where to park and what lot but... Where the Port of Johns were was not clear at all, not good.
The beach and the boardwalk looking out to the Atlantic..... Beautiful, I do not hate the experience, But put more port a johns out with toylet paper.

I love this place and this is one of the most cleanest place in the gym and they have track and field upstairs. We took S51 bus and itβs super convenient heading towards the gym. Also S52 and S51 bus goes to this gym and if anybody wants to workout you go to this gym. The workers took care of me to get my another yearly membership back.

Amazing facility with a free Gym but the best part is their kids track program. The ocean breeze wave runners, they get some of the best coaching and racing experience in the state of Ny. My daughter built her confidence here and I owe it to the staff and coach Stephen who does a wonderful job. We have moved and havenβt found an alternative to this great program.

A new facility so it is nice to look at and clean on the inside and outside. Once you woke up the entry ramp there are nice views of the bridge and the other boroughs. There is accessible bathrooms and entries and space proceeding for anyone like me in the motorized wheelchair. This is a nice City recreation center and it is only $100 for a yearly membership. There is parking available too. This is a great investment by the city and it shows. I can't think of any cons or negatives but only pros.

Beautiful facility. Track is gorgeous. Parking is horrendous and they ticket everyone even though there's nowhere to park. I did not receive a ticket but many people did and there was no parking anywhere. I've been to this track many times so I am well aware of where to park. If you have a track meet for all of NYS, 1,000 parking spaces is not enough when you have buses taking up one to two full lots. Maybe having a shuttle service for events like this would be a good idea.
