todd is the absolute best, 10/10!! i really wanted to get serious about fitness but had absolutely *no clue* where to start.
i trained with him for 8 weeks, and now have a routine that i actually understand & can maintain by myself. i see some differences in my body already which is motivating me to keep going!
i could barely do a pushup when i started, and now i'm confident about going to the gym 4 days a week.
he's super super nice & wants to see his clients succeed. i felt motivated the entire time, and i'm really happy to have a foundation I can build upon now.

Todd & OUT-FIT are incredible and have exceeded my every expectation. I had a lot of anxieties and doubts about starting personal training - I was very much a beginner - but finding Todd / OUT-FIT was a blessing. Todd's expertise is impressive, and he also really takes the time to get to know his clients and their goals. My program has always felt super targeted and tailored... I see growth every week. Plus the sessions are always fun (if demanding!). Beyond the positive changes in my body, I feel like I'm really developing a healthy, sustainable, lifelong relationship to fitness. Choose OUT-FIT for a positive, serious, effective fitness experience. I'd give six stars if I could!

I started training with Todd / OUT-FIT after taking one of his classes through my company and I’m so glad I did. At the time, I had almost no experience lifting weights on my own. Most of my background was in group bootcamp classes around the city, so stepping into a gym by myself felt intimidating. Todd made it feel approachable right away.
Todd is exactly what you want in a trainer. He is knowledgeable, thoughtful, and motivating while always making sure you feel supported. He created a space where I felt safe to try new things, ask questions, and build confidence at my own pace. He celebrated every milestone, no matter how small, and made sure I walked out feeling proud of myself.
OUT-FIT's classes are also amazing — they are challenging and push you in all the right ways, but they never feel intimidating. The energy is always positive and welcoming, whether you're just starting out (like me) or have been working out for years.
A year later, I feel confident and capable in a way I never have before. Todd has a way of pushing you to be your best without ever making it feel overwhelming or out of reach. If you are looking for a trainer who knows his stuff and creates a welcoming environment, I cannot recommend him enough.

This gym is the real deal. The coach is deeply committed to every member’s success and has built an incredible sense of community. He’s passionate about proper form and makes sure every movement is done safely and effectively — not just to get results, but to prevent injuries long-term.
Expect a little sass if you’re cutting corners, but it always comes from a place of care and high standards. He’s patient, knowledgeable, and relentless in helping you improve — which some may find intense, but that’s exactly what makes this place so effective. If you’re serious about getting stronger the right way, this is the gym for you.

As much as I support local stores or gyms, especially this is LGBTQ-owned, I did not feel welcome or inspired to workout. I came in as drop-ins but the workout for the day was part of the "8-week cycle". That should not stop me from there but to have fun and roll with it. Studio was definitely small; there were 5 that attended. I constantly do HIIT and Cross-Fit at various places; I was familiar with how most gyms and coaches layout. For this, I did not get any encouragement or motivation on each workout which was an unusual experience for me. I was hoping to like and continue to attend this studio; maybe this was not meant for me. Coach Todd is a nice person. One thing I liked was the people, they did not seem like social media influencers which I definitely slide in.

Personal training with Todd/OUT-FIT has been wonderful and transformative. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Todd is an exceptional trainer and mentor. He's supremely knowledgeable, hugely motivational, and a consummate professional; he's also genuine, warm, and caring. This combination has made training effective and enjoyable. Training sessions kick my butt, but they are a total delight; they have become the highlights of my week. Since starting OUT-FIT about eight months ago, I have not only seen and felt incredible changes in my body, but also my energy levels, confidence, and mental health. I feel so grateful to work with Todd and to have found and chosen OUT-FIT; I can say without, hyperbole, that doing so was among the very best decisions and investments of my life. I can't recommend Out-Fit’s 8-Session Fundamentals of Functional Fitness enough!
As someone who’s relatively new to the gym and has mostly relied on self-teaching, this program was a game-changer for me. The one-on-one coaching provided immense value, especially under Todd's expert guidance. Todd is not only incredibly knowledgeable but also kind, patient, and holds you accountable in the best way possible. From the very first session, he took the time to understand my goals and tailored each workout to my specific needs, ensuring I built a strong, sustainable fitness foundation from the start.
What really stood out to me was Todd’s attention to detail—he meticulously explained every move and made sure my form was on point to prevent injury. As I progressed, he continued to challenge me, gradually increasing the intensity and complexity of the sessions in a way that pushed me to grow stronger each week.
The program itself focuses on key principles like proper technique, mobility, and strength, which not only improved my performance but also gave me the confidence to train safely and effectively long after the sessions ended. The skills I’ve learned are invaluable and will stay with me as I continue my fitness journey.
The gym itself is spacious, spotless, and located in a great spot. The welcoming atmosphere made me feel comfortable, even as a beginner. And as an added bonus, Todd’s dog, Brooklyn, is an absolute joy! She’s friendly, but not intrusive—just a sweet presence that adds a personal touch to the experience.

This past summer when I had some time off, I decided that I wanted to begin working out more and needed a new routine. I called Todd, the founder of Out-Fit, discussed my concerns and goals, and then scheduled a personal training session. I am so glad that I scheduled that session because I have learned so much from him. He has helped me to improve my form and flexibility, which has allowed me to have easier and more effective workouts.
After working with Todd for about 10 sessions over the summer, I started attending small group classes in the Fall at the studio and some of the large group classes as well. The work that I did in the personal training sessions helped me to feel more prepared and less intimidated going to the group classes (so if you’re nervous about what to expect, I highly recommend started with some individual training sessions with Todd). The classes are absolutely fantastic. The environment is supportive and encouraging, and the workouts are extremely effective.
Since I started training at Out-Fit, I have lost weight, learned so much, and most importantly, have noticed a significant increase in my confidence. If you’re debating coming to Out-Fit, just go for it! You will not regret it!

Coach Todd is the best. He changed my life through my fitness journey. He is very knowledgeable, empathetic, inclusive and super motivating. He has many years of personal coaching experience. He tailored my program based on my ability and aspirations. At the same time he constantly motivates me to push harder and improve progressively. I have been training with him for about a year now and my fitness journey has been nothing short of remarkable. I feel healthier, stronger and in much better shape. The workout studio in Chelsea is easily accessible, well equipped, clean, and most importantly a very inclusive and safe space. We dropped in here for our visit in NYC and Todd was great at getting us set up. The class was limited in size so we felt like we were getting private coaching, and Todd was great and ensuring a great workout with sound form. The workout was fun, challenging, and most of all, the space was inclusive. We will definitely be back anytime we are in NYC.

I first met Todd through searching for online fitness training during the pandemic. I came across his daily Out-Fit videos and fitness challenges. I was hooked. They were much better than the usual online apps and classes. Post-pandemic, I started training with him and I have never had a trainer truly see what is needed and build a program that has yielded results. A year later, I am more flexible, stronger and in much better overall shape. Todd has a great motivating approach, deep fitness knowledge, and a great gym in Chelsea to work out in. Try him and see for yourself. And the bonus is his lab, Brooklyn. She’s the real boss.

I’ve been training with Todd for a couple of years now, and I couldn’t be happier with how far I’ve come. He’s detail-oriented, thoughtful, friendly and really engaged in his clients’ progress. I came to weight training in my mid-40s, with various creaks and old injuries, and Todd has got me (safely!) performing feats that the 25-year-old me would never have thought possible. Cannot recommend Out-Fit enough.

My partner and I were looking for a place to workout together to live a healthier life. And Out-Fit has been the perfect place for that! Todd welcomed us in with open arms and has help us grow stronger and continuously measure our progress. Going to Out-Fit is a consistent, stable highlight of my week and I would highly recommend all levels of athletes to try it out! The gym is spacious and bright. I haven’t found a better gym experience in my five years in NYC. I’ve always preferred sports to working out in a gym, and other gyms in NYC have never really made we want to work out so consistently. We’re so lucky to have found Out-Fit and you should definitely try it out!

I love training at Outfit with Todd. His space in Chelsea has everything you need. It’s a laid back place where you can get a serious workout and is just plain fun. Todd is positive and a great motivator. You can tell he loves what he does and genuinely wants you to get results. His business partner Sara is good people and Todd brings his pooch, Brooklyn, to the gym. Brooklyn is the coolest dog - I swear she empathizes when I’m recovering from a tough set and says “you got this” right when I want to stop mid exercise.
Most importantly, I’m getting great results and fully enjoying myself. That’s what it’s about after all. I was hesitant to get back into strength training after a 7 year hiatus and now I look forward to it. I’m stronger, more flexible and excited to continue building a healthy body. It just feels good.
If you’re considering it, just reach out - you’ll be glad you did.

I have worked with Todd since 2018 and he has helped me tremendously in achieving greater strength, technique and endurance. His instruction is second to none and his workouts are the right mix of demand and gratification.
