Owl’s Head yoga is a wonderful & clean place. I tried yoga in-person for the first time two months ago and everyone is welcoming and informative. I especially like the fact that they are very thorough when explaining poses and moves. They care that you know the correct way, yet when you struggle, there’s only encouragement. I highly recommend!

I adore this yoga studio! I have been taking classes here on and off since it opened. The owner, Erica, is an amazing, kind, and enthusiastic teacher for whom teaching yoga is a true vocation, not just a job.

Having undergone surgery a few years ago, I returned to yoga classes about 1 year afterward with some misgivings about how much I would be able to do. Erica and the other teachers have been great in accommodating my post-surgery needs, and I have continued to become stronger as a result of regular yoga and other at-home exercises. By giving me grace, she has helped me to also grant it to myself.

The studio has a great vibe and high-quality air purification.

If you are looking for a great yoga experience in a charming studio, and a place to escape the madness of NYC for a couple hours, this is the perfect spot for you!

Absolutely Love This Studio – A Must for Prenatal Yoga!
This is my first time trying yoga, and I couldn't have asked for a better introduction. I've taken about three prenatal yoga classes so far at Owl's Head Yoga, and every week, I truly look forward to my Friday session.

Erica has built such a warm, supportive, and inviting community at her studio. Being surrounded by other women who are going through similar changes has been both comforting and empowering. The classes are thoughtfully guided, welcoming for beginners, and tailored perfectly for pregnancy.

If you're expecting and considering prenatal yoga, I highly recommend Owl's Head Yoga Studio. It's been such a positive, grounding experience during this special time.

Best yoga place ever!

Owl’s Head Yoga Studio in Bay Ridge is a great place to start practicing yoga. I had never done yoga before, and starting here was truly the best decision. Now, after two months, I can already feel the difference. The place has such a welcoming energy, with positive vibes and a clean, peaceful atmosphere.
Erica is an absolutely amazing yogini. She’s very attentive to detail and gently guides us, always making sure we’re moving safely and correctly. I also love that she’s funny and brings such a great energy to the class.
I love this place 🤍

Owl's Head's prenatal yoga class was an incredibly important part of my pregnancy from the lovely community to all the knowledge and care shared by Erika. There were so many aspects of pregnancy that I learned in our classes from pelvic floor health, delivery, navigating the ins and outs, ups and downs of being pregnant, and of course, learning/practicing yoga poses that were safe and helpful during pregnancy! It is a truly special place. I don't know what I would have done without it! And I highly recommend it for all pregnant mommas to be.

Brought my mother-in-law to Owl’s Head Yoga and we had such a great experience. The studio has a very intimate and calming atmosphere, which made it feel personal and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The instruction was excellent—clear, attentive, and encouraging. It was the perfect balance of challenge and relaxation. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a thoughtful, high-quality yoga experience in a peaceful setting. We’ll definitely be back!

I’m new to Bay Ridge and finding a yoga studio was important to me. Owl’s Head was the closest. I’ll say it was the best decision I made not only am I feeling the strongest I ever have. But I have made a community where I feel accepted and welcomed. Erica & the rest of the teachers have such amazing souls. So much so that if you go to a morning class you might catch a beautiful rainbow

Erica has cultivated such a wonderful sanctuary for the community where all walks of life can feel safe. With her warm spirit and native South Brooklyn realness, she welcomes all abilities in her classes and helps all to feel comfortable while in their yoga asana practice. She has many props to allow you to modify any pose to every body, as well as her knowledge of alignment. There is zero judgement and you really come out of class feeling rejuvenated, both physically and mentally.

I recently started the prenatal yoga class at this studio and have really enjoyed the experience so far! Erica offers clear, thoughtful instructions, explaining how each pose supports our bodies during pregnancy and labor. And the opportunity to connect with other expecting mothers at various stages is a really great benefit. Highly recommend this class!

Been coming to this yoga studio for almost a year and have taken private sessions as well. I have been to other yoga studios in the area, as well as in Manhattan and this one is by far my favorite! Erica is knowledgeable, practical, and explains the mechanics when necessary of why the poses work and what we want to accomplish. She is realistic in her teaching philosophy. She does more breathwork than I've done in previous practice and WHAT A DIFFERENCE! I am so happy I found Owl's Head Yoga!

I've been to my share of yoga studios and this place is my favorite. The studio owner, Erica, is warm, inviting, community-oriented, and knowledgeable. She intentionally meets her students "where they're at" individually. The other teachers at the studio are also great. Owl's Head teachers are always proactive at grabbing you a prop if needed. Furthermore, they often provide an array of asana options within a single flow, including physically challenging, advanced poses or more restorative alternatives. Come join if you want to deepen your practice in a supportive, judgment-free environment. <3

I took Erica’s Simple Stretch class and it was amazing!!! I felt like a whole new person after. It’s super accessible and it’s for practioners of any level. It was a lot of fun, versatile, we held poses for just long enough, and did breath work. I’m looking forward to practicing more in this studio. It was a pleasure to share space in this studio today

I am simply amazed at how Erica teaches yoga! This is the first time I am noticing changes in my body after doing poses because Erica reminds students every time to take time and notice! I feel so good after each class! I am usually tired in the mornings, but after Erica classes I am full of energy, I have more patience with kids and desire to play and be silly with them which is usually not easy for me! You can see how much dedicated Erica is to her work which makes the practice so great! Love❤️

I’ve been coming here weekly for over a year now for Erica’s classes. I noticed there is more room in my lower back and I didn't expect it because I’m pretty flexible to begin with. My posture has improved and I feel stronger internally. The space is calm and relaxing. We have light conversations and I often learn something new about health.

I am not in shape and I'm not very flexible. I am a cancer survivor and have many physical limitations, but I knew I needed to feel better and get healthy in a way that fed my soul. I tried more than a few yoga classes in the area but Erica and Owls Head were the only ones that made me feel capable and like I was in the right place. Little by little, with Erica's adjustments and kind inspiration, I'm feeling stronger and solid on my feet. The community is amazing. The space is welcoming. Highly recommend.

I had been on the search for a yoga studio where I felt at home and the puzzle pieces just fit. But something was always off- no classes fit my schedule, the instructors weren’t nice, the prices were through the roof. Cue Owls Head Yoga. I actually don’t even live in Brooklyn, I come from Staten Island. That’s how much I adore this place. From the day I started back in March of this year, Erica, Kristie and Domenica have been beyond welcoming and attentive, making my experience just that; an experience. Erica is a true gem to her students and the community. I have learned so much more than just “how to stretch”, as many might assume. Please, I encourage everyone to drop in and take a class! You will be so happy you did.

Great yoga studio! Classes are accessible to lots of different levels and experience. Owner is knowledgeable and helps the students, and the longer time slot means you have time to cover more material than a typical yoga class. I always leave class relaxed. Would definitely recommend this studio!

I started going to Owl's Head Yoga about 3 months ago. Now my week is incomplete without one, or maybe, 2 classes. I take Yoga 101 and Erica's signature class "Sweet Spot." I was kinda worried because I was older than the last time I took yoga and I had a hip replacement. Erica spent time talking to me about my hip and made sure that I'd spoken with my surgeon before trying to come back. She made it clear that if anything hurt, I should just pause until I could continue. Erica's classes are challenging, but her deep knowledge of the anatomy and spirit of movement creates a class that flows from one pose to the next, supported powerfully by the breath. WOW!
When Erica says, "Don't judge your experience," she means it. It's truly a judgement-free zone. Its just you, your body, your breath, and your heart with your classmates guided by a truly talented teacher. I leave class feeling stronger, more comfortable on the earth, and a little sweaty. That's why I love Owl's Head Yoga.

Hands down the best yoga studio I've ever been to honestly. This place is the definition of what a role model small business is like. The owner is caring and compassionate and is very attuned to her students when teaching. Erica has been the best at adjusting my body as needed during movements/sequences. She also acts as a guide no matter how much of a novice or advanced you are in your yoga practice. She makes sure everyone feels personally spoken to and I love that honestly. I always feel relaxed and more in tune with my body when leaving any of Erica's classes. This is probably the first and only yoga studio where there is no pretentious atmosphere as well which is why I'll make my way from Brooklyn Heights to Owl's Head Yoga in Bay Ridge.

Owl's Head Yoga is a little treasure gem in Bay Ridge! Erica (owner & instructor) is amazing at all levels of yoga and she's also become a true friend and she is to all her yoga students. I've taken classes from the beginner's when I first moved to the neighborhood and have advanced to vinyasa and recently took her prenatal class which recently helped me in my delivery! I love the in-person classes but took the remote ones through the COVID years and I have to say they are just as good because she really pays attention to everyone's posture in the class so you can't go wrong with either format. She also offers special workshops, my favorite is the Restorative Yoga and Gong Bath, totally worth it and very affordable. Recommend her and her studio 100%

Owls Head Yoga is the perfect place to escape the stress of Brooklyn and center yourself with calm while getting a workout that tones, strengthens, and in my case even straightened my spine some. The studio is impeccably clean, The classes range in difficulty but really excel at welcoming new and beginner students into the world of Yoga. I have been a student of the Yoga Ginger from my first days of Yoga, her detailed cues and attention to each individuals needs physically is what kept me coming back. We are all individuals and need to honor our bodies physical capabilities and leave the ego at the door. - Namaste
