Passion Adult Dance Studio has saved my life. I feel like this has become my motto as I say it so much, because it's true. At a time when I felt like my life was over, I met the Shuffle instructor, Stephanie Decaprio, who introduced me to Passion, and my life feels fulfilled in so many ways. I've been attending Passion for 1 year and 3 months. In that time I've made an incredible group of friends, I've performed in shows (which I NEVER thought I would do), I've learned to love myself, and for the first time in my life, I actually feel like a part of something. I actually feel like I belong. I started with shuffle, then got into hip-hop, and twerk ( which I also NEVER thought I would do). Each class fills my cup. Passion is the perfect place for anyone with any interest in dancing at all. Whether you’re an absolute beginner who wants to learn, have been dancing your entire life, or just want a fun way to exercise and socialize, there are classes that will meet you where you are.

I found this studio at a time where life was just getting monotonous and unfulfilling. Working, going home, and doing it again in the morning. There are so many words I have to describe my experience at Passion but not enough pages to write. However, if I were able to sum it all up with one, it would be Empowerment with a capital E!! It’s what most, if not all, seem to experience when they step out of these studio doors for the first time.

Whether for the purpose of encountering fears, accepting a new challenge, or returning to an old hobby, the feeling is the same- empowerment for having just done that! And aside from the emotional release through dancing, I have found a community vibe through their performance opportunities and I was able to dance in Passion’s Lovefest (my first ever dance show!)

I initially was embarrassed to have been so sporadic in my membership having taken my first class nearly a year prior, yet no one judged, no one asked, and all said “welcome, glad you are here”! Again not enough words to describe my journey at Passion but I can say it has been wonderful for so many reasons. With one of the simplest being my love for dancing in heels and moving to my hearts content!!

It’s a feeling like no other when I slip on those stilettos and I am thankful I found this at Passion. Hope who ever reads this end up finding this as well— and you will!

I discovered Passion during a period of uncertainty I was experiencing in my life. I had always wanted to go back into dance, but was looking for a studio that solely catered to adults.

Since joining Passion in mid-January, not only I had opportunities to immerse in different dance styles, I've befriended so many amazing and supportive people (including those who went to the same college as me and those who share mutuals), get a great workout, and even participated as a dancer in their spring showcase, LOVE FEST! I have felt a lot of personal growth and development within myself since coming here. I can't wait to see what Passion has coming up, now that they opened their second studio space.

I started going to Passion in September of 2024. I was feeling particularly lost in life—I was turning 30, and didn’t feel like I had any kind of direction or hobby that was fulfilling to me. Dance was something that always seemed so cool to me. Even as a kid, I remember seeing movies like Step Up or watching hip hop music videos and just wishing I was able to move with the confidence and swagger that those actors and artists did. But I never had the opportunity, or the strength to push myself to do it growing up.

It was those thoughts that finally pushed me to pop by the studio one night. I decided enough was enough and that I needed to put myself out there. So I spoke with Calli before a hip hop class—I expressed my anxiety about taking a class, but reiterated how enamored I was with learning how to dance. She immediately calmed all of the fears I had. Yes, it’s totally cool I’m a guy who wants to dance—no one would look at me funny, no one would make me feel like I didn’t belong, people of all skill levels take classes so I’d never feel like the odd one out. She was absolutely right.

With one class I was hooked. I had happened upon a hobby that I truly felt passionate about. I got a membership not soon after because I just HAD to be able to take more classes. Learning a new choreo, practicing it over and over, and then finally nailing it feels like one of the greatest natural highs I have ever experienced. And the community is absolutely incredible. I feel confident in saying I’ve made life long friends already—and making new friends as an adult is hard. But I look forward to seeing all of these people every week, talking about our lives, and then collectively enjoying the legitimately healing power that dance provides.

If this all sounds like too good to be true, I promise I get it. I promise I experienced all the nerves you might be experiencing now as you’re reading this review and thinking about stepping out of your comfort zone. But I also promise that it was a life changing decision for me, in the most positive way imaginable, and that if you come to our studio and take classes here it will be the same for you. It doesn’t matter who you are or what kind of background you have, you would absolutely be welcomed with open arms. And I’ll say this for the guys who are like me, and were always interested but could never manage that last little push—do it. It’s a great workout with great people, and you’re going to feel fly as hell when you finally nail that move you’ve been working on. Especially when you can bust it out at that wedding you’re going to.

I’ve been taking classes regularly for about a year at Passion, and it’s one of my favorite places to be.
I was so nervous before my first class, I hadn’t danced in 15 years. As soon as I walked through the door I felt comfortable immediately. The classes are challenging while still being accessible for all levels. Every teacher is warm, welcoming, supportive, and brings their own personality to their choreography.

I attended my first class at Passion alone, and it was the best decision I have made for myself. Although I was a nervous wreck, I instantly felt at ease with the energy of Calli (the owner), and fellow classmates present. My biggest fear was not being able to keep up with the choreography, and not being good enough because I haven’t danced since I was in 7th grade. It was such a supportive, fun environment, that those thoughts didn’t even cross my mind throughout the entire class. There was absolutely no judgement. Questions are always encouraged, and choreography is taught 2 weeks in a row so you can feel yourself more, and pick up on things you weren’t able to do the first week you learned it. Here I am a year later, and there isn’t a class I haven’t tried. Every instructor is truly incredible with their talents and unique personalities. They are extremely knowledgeable, passionate, and inspire me. My fellow classmates are now my best friends who bring out the best in me, and make my days brighter. Since joining this studio, I have grown immensely, not only physically but mentally. Passion has helped me gain confidence and embrace/own all aspects of myself not only through classes, but through workshops, and show performances. The opportunities Passion provides are unreal and as an adult, it’s rare to find a place that offers such wonderful diverse opportunities for a community. Passion is not only a dance studio, but therapy for the mind, body, and soul. I took my first hip hop class here in November 2023 and it changed my life for the better! Falling back in love with dance has healed something in my baby ballerina heart. I have since tried the heels, jazz, contemporary, and samba classes and you can not go wrong. How do I describe Passion The Adult Dance Studio? I have taken a LONG time to write this review as I find it hard to put Passion into words.

How do you put into words that after thirty one years of searching you have FOUND where you belong? Your community, your favorite humans, your sense of self and expression, your home. Passion is all those things.

I attended Passion the first day they opened their doors. Since then I have gone through some hardships and have not felt like the best student, however, Passion never makes me feel bad for showing up, WHEN I can and with WHATEVER I have that day. At Passion I am free to explore my sensitive, sensual, sexual, emotional and every other side of my existence.

Having been a dancer my entire life, studying as a dancer in college and performing a bit after, I have NEVER felt so at home and free without judgement to be my authentic self. And I mean EVER. You can show up to passion in your current state and they will be there for you.
Happy that day? Go to Passion.
Emotional? Go to Passion.
Hysterically crying? - Go to dance class and the community is there for you.
Dealing with continuous hardship? - Passion is there for you.
Wanting to perform again? - Passion has that too!

The dance classes at Passion are amazing. I came in brand new to dance and the environment was supportive and welcoming. Every teacher is super sweet and patient in addition to being badass dancers. But what I learned this year is that Passion is more than a studio, it is a community. I am taking part in one of their shows and not to be dramatic but it has changed my whole world and inspired such a more positive relationship with my body. there are so many amazing things to say about passion! where to start?! this is a beautiful space, perfectly nestled into main street in beacon, with fun classes, wonderful teachers, and a kind, welcoming vibe...and that barely scratches the surface!

This studio changed my life! I stumbled upon Passion while looking for a new, fun, and physical hobby. I had no prior professional dance experience, however, upon researching this studio, it didn’t appear that I needed any in order to take classes (what a relief!) Now, it’s been almost a year since I started attending dance classes at Passion and my life is forever changed for the better. I’m happier, more fit, more confident, and feel so supported by the community at Passion, even while I’m outside of the studio! I cannot recommend this studio to people enough!!

Passion is a truly one-of-a-kind magical place. Passion is SO much more than a dance studio. I have found my community at this studio. Passion is a safe space for me to explore my sexuality and sensuality through movement. I am more confident in myself inside and outside of the studio. I have found a more aligned version of myself. I have a deeper connection to my body. I have learned to express myself and tap deeper into my own body's wisdom.

I am relatively new to the dance world and each class I've taken has been accessible and has met me where I am on my journey. The Passion community is so welcoming, encouraging, and loving.This dance studio and the people who make up this community are truly special! I was so excited to find Nia Dance in Beacon. For those who are not familiar with Nia it’s a combo of modern/jazz dance, Tai Chi, Aikido, and yoga. It’s the type of dance you can show up to with zero experience and just feel the rhythm of your body and mind. However, if you do have a background in dance (I took ballet for 16 years) you too will love this style of free movement. Rather than learning a combination and performing it, you spend the whole class moving and dancing.

Marilyn is an amazing instructor; simultaneously inspirational and aspirational. If you haven’t experienced Nia yet, I highly recommend you try Marilyn’s class. I guarantee you will leave this class feeling invigorated, physically and spiritually satisfied, and ready to tackle any challenges your day will throw at you! I am so happy to have discovered Passion Dance Studio!!!! Thank you! :)

I've been to Passion twice so far - once for a hip hop class and once for a private birthday party. Both classes were incredibly fun, energizing, and freeing - even as someone who has zero dance experience (or talent). I appreciate that Passion is a very welcoming place for people who want to try a new experience, while still offering classes from talented & legitimate dance instructors. I'm looking forward to trying other classes there soon!

I've taken a few classes at this studio: Shuffle N' Flow, Intro to Shuffle, Heels 101, Hip Hop 101, & Not Your Everyday Ballet. All have been fantastic classes with amazing teachers!

The studio is in a space w/ offices, so there isn't a locker room or other traditional fitness-related amenities. But the building & studio are clean, there is bathroom access, & you are able to keep your belongings secure in the studio during the class.

I highly recommend taking classes here!

There are not enough good things to say about Calli and the safe, fun, empowering environment she’s created at Passion. Any nerves you have will be put at ease within moments of arrival. I’m 50 years old and these classes have been way out of my comfort zone, but I felt nothing but encouragement from the instructors as well as the other students. Passion is truly a hidden gem and I cannot recommend it enough.

This is such a special place! Despite showing up to my first class solo and with minimal prior dance experience, I’ve felt nothing but welcomed and comfortable at Passion. I’ve been taking classes for almost a year now and can say that finding Passion changed my life — dancing here has made me feel so whole and complete. From Hip Hop to Dance Party Fitness to Shuffle and more - it’s a place to try on something new (or old) and just let yourself go. I truly thank my lucky stars every day that this studio exists. Nothing but great things to say about this place! I booked a private Heels 101 class for a bachelorette party this past weekend and it was the highlight of our whole day. From the very beginning of my inquiry, Calli was so helpful and easy to communicate with. She made the booking process a breeze! The studio itself was super clean, comfortable and spacious, and great vibes with their mood lighting. Christina brought amazing energy as the class instructor and kept us all hyped up the whole time! The routine was so much fun, while some of us were beginners, we picked it up pretty quickly and it felt like everyone was really able to let loose and enjoy. We laughed the whole time and Chris was such a great sport, egging on some of our ridiculous freestyle moves! Every girl who attended said they were SO glad we did it, and several girls who live nearby said they can’t wait to go back and attend the regular classes that the studio offers. We are even considering having the bridal party perform the routine at the wedding in a few weeks! I would 100000% recommend this place to anyone who is considering them!

I am obsessed with this studio!! I have no dance experience other than starting shuffling in 2020, and I felt completely comfortable from my very first class. Love the hip hop and twerk it out classes! Samba and creative hoop dance were also amazing. So much fun and everyone is so nice and welcoming. Great vibes! Member for life!

Did my first dance class ever, hip hop 101, and had the best time ever. Instructor was fun and patient explaining everything very well, the class was energetic and lively, everyone was there to just have fun and dance. Lauren's ballet class is incredible. Not only is she a great dance teacher (and insanely knowledgeable about anatomy), she has such a lovely, warm vibe that makes me look forward to class every week.

As someone who grew up dancing and went on to perform professionally for a few years, I got into a lot of bad habits, both physically and, more prominently, mentally. I stopped dancing for many years because I hated feeling competitive and pressured in class. Lauren's class is really my first real foray back into the world of dance and it's helped me tremendously to release a lot of the baggage I tend to bring to the dance floor. It's just fun. And it feels great in my body (I'm pregnant and it's helped me manage a lot of the associated aches and pains).

Anyway, this review has somehow become a memoir, but my point is simply this: Passion is a wonderful studio with a wonderful mission, and Lauren's class has been a bright spot in my routine each week. :)

I have been a dancer for over ten years. In my time I have never been apart of a studio that is as welcoming as Passion. Unlike so many other studios Passion focuses on body and metal positivity as well as fostering the love for dance. It is a space that is vibrant and incredibly inviting. I absolutely LOVE Passion! I have been attending classes since the studio opened. I danced growing up and in college, and it was something that I felt was missing in my life as I was entering real adulthood. Dancing again at the studio makes me feel whole again. The classes are super fun, and there are not large commitments like when you are a kid. You can sign up and drop in for classes, which is great to fit into a busy schedule. I have taken the Intermediate HipHop classes and Intermediate Heels classes. Calli does an amazing job in the heels classes. She is able to help each dancer harness their inner sexy diva and create new fun dances that we spend two weeks learning. Whether you plan to drop in, or take weekly classes it is a great workout and a great chance to feel sexy in your own skin.
I would recommend visiting the studio ONE MILLION percent to those who have danced before or have never danced in their life. There are classes for everyone during the week at different levels and it is always very warm and welcoming.

I celebrated my 30th birthday with a private group twerk class at Passion! Calli was incredible with scheduling and providing options and details. Christina, our twerk instructor, was super sweet, contacting me to discuss song and style preferences and class logistics. Me and my friends had the best time! Coming from the full range of dance experience, we all had an amazing time and felt super comfortable in the studio. We learned the twerk basics and we love performing the combo we learned for our other friends!

I moved from the city and I was looking for a place to continue taking adult dance classes. I found Passion and loved it! The classes are fun and everyone was very welcoming and friendly. Took the Beginner Hip Hop class and it was a ton of fun and a great workout! I have never taken a dance class before so I was nervous going in. But Calli made it care free, entertaining, and easy to follow! Also, as a guy, I was skeptical going but Calli made sure that everyone felt comfortable and not judged. I had booked an off-site twerk session with Calli for a Mother's Day Brunch-N-Punch held in my home. Calli did not disappoint. My guests and I felt no judgements as her and her fellow instructor, Taylor, taught us how to pop our bootys! We loved how Callie started the session with being mindful in our present space and appreciate who and what we are. We laughed, cried, got an incredible workout with sexy new dance moves to perfect. Not bad for a bunch of ladies in our late 30s and up. I look forward to spending some sessions in Passion Studio and hosting more events with Calli hyping them up! Highly recommend!
