I love this studio. I usually give up on workout classes pretty quickly because I have a minor disability in my arm that can make the process challenging, but the instructors here (especially Deanna!) have been so wonderful about giving me alternative methods to make the moves work for me. Over the past few months, I feel like I am accomplishing so much and getting stronger. I highly recommend coming here, it’s small classes, a cute studio, and the instructors are wonderful at what they do!

Perfect Posture Pilates is an incredible studio! The owner and instructors are friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and teach challenging, yet fun classes! I also recently completed the Mat Pilates Certification offered by Perfect Posture and couldn’t be happier. I love Perfect Posture Pilates and I have been recommending it to everyone I know! I started coming to the studio 5 years ago for hip and knee pain. During private lessons, Varvara and the other instructors took the time to understand my body and its nuances, and have been helping me to build a stronger foundation and posture for a better way of moving on a daily basis. My hip and knee pain have been gone for a few years now but I still go to the studio to keep learning about my body and get stronger. The lessons are challenging to the right level and Varvara is always pushing me to get better. Learning about Pilates and my body with her has been really fun! The 2 studios are very clean and inviting, they maintain great hygiene habits, they are polite and so are their clients. I can’t recommend Perfect Posture Pilates enough!

I highly recommend studying Pilates Mat at Perfect Posture Pilates. Varvara is a very skilled instructor who focuses deeply on alignment and proper technique. Unlike many other pilates studios, there is an emphasis on practicing and mastering essential movements, breathing techniques, and modified exercises– before attempting advanced material. This gradual building of knowledge and muscle memory ensures that we keep our bodies safe while creating strong foundations for more complex, dynamic, and advanced movements. The comprehensive teacher training included detailed anatomy study as well as in-depth theoretical knowledge with hands-on practice. We learned to modify exercises for different body types, injuries, and fitness levels, and practiced teaching and creating appropriate sequences. We left feeling confident and prepared to teach. After having completed the course, I feel a deeper connection to my breath and my core, and am able to recognize and engage muscles I did not have complete control over before. I recommend this course to anyone looking for a thorough educational experience.

I had knees surgeries in the past and pelvis surgery 7 years ago,since then i always had issues with pain ,wrong posture and balance. I can’t say enough about my experience at perfect posture Pilates. I’ve been having private sessions with Georgette for a few months now. I suffer from fibromyalgia and have lost a lot of my strength and my posture has also deteriorated. Georgette has gotten me back on track. She is patient, extremely experienced in every aspect of musculoskeletal and knows exactly what to focus on. I feel great after every session and look forward to my next one. After moving cities and suffering a chronic back re-injury, I started coming to this studio about twice per week for the past two months. I intend to keep coming, and look forward to every session. I'm still fairly new to pilates; was doing Pure Barre for several years up until my latest injury. Sessions with Varvara have been amazing and I don’t know what I would have done if I didn’t find Perfect Posture Pilates, an answer to my prayers !
I went in with immense lower back pain 24/7 to the point it would hurt to lay down, sit, stand or take long walks and it would be so painful to even slightly bend to wash my face. However, after weekly sessions with Varvara, I can bend all the way down without feeling like my back is about to snap and most of the time I am pain free! I am also able to move my body so much more freely in ways I was never able to do. She is also helping me with my body alignment due to functional scoliosis as well as adjusting my posture and form for each exercise continuously.
She knows the body so well and is very detailed in her assessments and instructions.
I can feel immediate pain relief as well as getting stronger, more flexible and understanding my body better with every session. Most of all, I can tell that she sincerely cares for my well being and is always thinking of ways to help me and any issues or pain I come in with.

I highly recommend this studio, especially for chronic pain and injuries. I started private sessions here in 2019, shortly after I moved into the neighborhood. An injury more than 2 years before left me with an awkward gait and pain after walking a block or two, even after quite a bit of physical therapy. Varvara, the studio owner, is amazing at assessment and then breaking down your issues into the component parts. It didn't necessarily all make sense to me at the time but I've regained so much function and no longer have pain with walking and extended standing. I have also worked with most of the other instructors here and they are all good at what they do. Here's the thing--most injuries and issues take time to develop and it will also take some time to unwind them and retrain your body. I wasn't "fixed" right away but I saw incremental progress pretty quickly and stuck with it. I'm so glad I did! If I wasn't moving out of the area, I'd be a client for life!

I have been taking private lessons with Varvara and she is nothing short of amazing. She has extensive knowledgeable in pre-natal and back care. She has helped me make space in my ribs due to my scoliosis, and I feel more aligned, stronger, and balanced. Tension is gone from my hips, and as an added bonus the TMJ I was suffering from went away as well.
COVID safety precautions are strictly followed and the space itself is tranquil and cozy. I love coming here!

I've been taking private sessions with Varvara at Perfect Posture Pilates for almost one year and I've continued my practice through virtual online private and group mat classes, which are reasonably priced given the high quality knowledge, detailed instruction and wealth of experience that Varvara and her wonderful staff members provide in each class.
Specifically, the online virtual mat classes are offered at convenient times if you work 9-5 and no two classes are ever the same; the variation in repetoire will keep challenging you. I particularly find each instructor's detailed "cues" for each exercise invaluablly helpful in a virtual group class.
In my private sessions, Varvara is patient, detail-oriented, supportive, and quick to correct my technique if I do not perform something accurately so that I do not injure myself. I always feel challenged, but not in over my head. I usually ask several questions about anatomy or functional movement and the 'why' behind each movement; Varvara patiently answers all my questions without hesitation, her wealth of knowledge/experience apparent.
For comparison, I signed up for a few classes at a more commercial/not-boutique studio just to see the difference and quickly realized that I probably would've performed the exercises incorrectly since other studio's classes did not provide the same quality "cues", had too many students to provide individualized attention/correction, and the instructors could not answer my questions after class about the benefit or "why" of paticular exercises. Needless to say, I stuck with Perfect Posture instead.
Bottom line, I highly recommend trying out Perfect Posture Pilate's virtual online classes/trying out this studio if you're interested in properly developing your physical strength, body awareness, mindfulness, and overall wellbeing through quality and knowledgable instruction. This is the best studio!

I’ve been coming to Perfect Posture Pilates now for over a year and I love this studio. If you are looking for a wonderful Pilates studio that will help you achieve positive noticeable differences to your body and posture, this is the place. I’ve taken all their classes including many private sessions and one year later, I walk much better, feel much stronger and have less back and shoulder pains.
Firstly, the studio is clean and very relaxing. The classes are small so you get plenty of attention from the instructors who really care about the clients. All the instructors are knowledgeable, experienced, professional and attentive. Secondly, this is not a large studio where you can easily get lost. I’ve gone to larger studios with too many students that you don’t even realize that you are doing to moves incorrectly because you escape the instructors’ notice. The instructors always ask how we are feeling, what we want to work on and constantly provides constructive feedback. They adjust/accommodate per your level and condition to make sure that you get the benefits of Pilates without hurting yourself. And totally judgement free for those who get intimidated by new classes/workout. Just like the name of studio, it’s all about getting that (healthy) perfect posture and for people who sit hunched icee at this desk all day like me, this studio will help you achieve wonders.

I am so happy with my experience at Perfect Posture Pilates. I have suffered from low back pain for years and never thought that I could be pain-free. My interest in pilates began once I found out that I was pregnant and I was concerned my low back pain would worsen. I live around Perfect Posture Pilates and today I walked in and the only thing she told me was that everything is on the website! The guy at the front desk was nice and he asked me what I was looking for and he gave me a flyer.... but after some words she came back and she said fast that classes for participants weren't able during the morning and that everything is on the website! Again.... How do you make clients like that :/ .... let's find a different place now...

I’ve been going to Perfect Posture for about a year and couldn’t be happier to have found this Pilates studio in the neighborhood. I was introduced to Pilates and this wonderful studio by a good friend of mine that gifted me two classes. After the first class I was hooked and have been going to class weekly. I've only had the pleasure of having Varvara as an instructor and she is amazing. She goes above and beyond to ensure that all clients are understanding which muscle groups are working, how you should be feeling, and that your form is correct. I've heard that the other instructors are great too and can't wait to expand to more advanced classes. I’m a runner, so I decided to try pilates to see if I could improve my core and overall strength. I not only accomplished that, but I also found a fitness system that I enjoy as much as running! I had been taken pilates for two years when I became pregnant. I then decided to take private prenatal classes with Varvara. These classes made a huge difference in how I felt during my pregnancy. I was able to stay fit, remain active, and energized, especially since I was doing something that made me happy! After the baby was born I took private postnatal classes and these sessions motivated me to reconnect with my body and build my strength. Varvara took good care of me the whole time, explaining the purpose of the exercises that were new to me and making sure that I was comfortable and always safe. I highly recommend her studio, especially if you plan to become pregnant and would like to stay active, motivated, and fit throughout your pregnancy.

Vavara is one of the most caring Pilates instructors who really understands the core of of craft. She understands human anatomy better then some other medical professionals. When I first started with Varvara just a few months ago I had chronic lower back and hip pain due to working and sitting for long hours. In my time with her this pain has been eliminated and I am so grateful to feel healthier and taller with each session. She is an amazing teacher that goes into great detail about posture and mechanics of the body to help you gain a better understanding of the process. She tailors each session to fit the needs of my body and I see progress every week. Her approach is extremely knowledgeable, supportive and fun! I suffer from scoliosis, and have been in back and neck pain for the majority of my life. I've seen chiropractors, physical therapists, and doctors, but none have helped as much as Varvara in the past 5 weeks. She is incredibly patient and knowledgeable, and made me feel comfortable from day one. I've enjoyed group mat and private reformer classes with her, and have never felt better. I recommend her to every person I meet who is looking for a great pilates studio as well as people in pain.

August 2014 I hurt my lower back, L4 & L5 herniated disc. I went to physical therapy for a few months and the exercises seemed to irritate my back not alleviate any of the pain and symptoms. The physical therapist actually suggested that I start doing pilates.
I have been taking classes with Varvara the proprietor of Perfect Posture Pilates for 6 weeks and I have already noticed a change. My first session she evaluated my posture and the areas that needed strengthening, pinpointing my deficits correctly. She then quickly adapts the program to meet my needs for the day and as a whole. Varvara is constantly aware of my movements and correcting me to make sure that I am getting the full benefit of the exercises. I can feel myself getting stronger with each session. I rarely have pain in my lower back and hips anymore. As an added benefit my posture is slowly improving which I found is extremely connected to why I had pain and issues in the first place. Varvara is a very personable, vibrant and caring trainer. I highly recommend her for people of all ages and abilities.

I initially started coming here due to an injury. I had an ankle surgery and needed something close to my home, after seeing the great reviews on yelp I signed on for a few classes. Those classes turned into months of training with Varvara, she is extremely knowledgeable and pleasant. My experience training with her was very effective for my surgery, I have made a quick, great recovery. Every exercise was modified to my capacity and to accommodate my injury. Anyone training with Varvara will be very satisfied.
