Spacious pilates studio in Brooklyn. Once you walk up one flight of stairs, you'll see a welcome desk with many lockers and sufficient space to change. The teachers were friendly and knowledgeable.

The best studio in Brooklyn! The teachers make this place. They are fun, empathetic and caring of each client. As a 50 year old woman I was worried I would be surrounded by Lululemon gym fans but I found an inclusive environment that suits any fitness and body type. They are strength x Pilates classes which are perfect for the over 50s and everyone! Maria and Kiara on reception are so helpful too. It is clean. You can change there too. Love love 💕

Pilates Heights is THE best studio and the instructors are beyond amazing. I’ve been coming here for years now and I always feel better after a class - even walking through the door I immediately feel lighter thanks to the super friendly front desk staff. Can’t recommend enough!!

I love this studio! I’ve been coming to Pilates Heights for a year now, and it’s honestly one of the best decisions I’ve made for my health and well-being. The classes are challenging but still super inviting and fun—they’ve become such an important part of my daily routine.

The instructors (shout out to Nicole, Narissa, and Lili!) are so knowledgeable, supportive, and truly passionate about every class they teach. I always feel encouraged and pushed in the best way. The studio also runs fun challenges that help you feel motivated to push yourself and keep growing in your practice.

I can’t rave about this studio enough!

Such a great Pilates studio! I tried a bunch of the other chain Pilates places in the neighborhood but have come back here time and time again. Narissa and Jessica are excellent teachers who explain form and technique, give individual pointers, and clearly care about their students. Plus the music is always fresh and new! Also love that they treat their students with respect and don’t do any adjustments unless they talk to you first. I see an incredible improvement in my code and posture. Great for experienced or beginner Pilates students!

The best Pilates studio ever! I had swore off all in person classes after covid. Luckily got invited to a class with a friend and now I’ve had a monthly membership for over a year! All instructors are amazing! Especially Narissa, she’ll kick your butt but make you feel like a rockstar no matter what level you are.

I have been going to this studio for years and it's been a huge contributor to my overall wellness. Since I enjoy all of the instructors and classes, it is easy to maintain a routine over the long term and I'm much stronger than when I first started barre. It is also a really welcoming and friendly environment for anyone at any level, so it's not intimidating at all. Staff and management is also super nice and responsive and I was very impressed by and grateful for all the ways they were able to adapt through the pandemic. I can't say enough good things about this studio!

I've been coming here for 5 months and I love this place! I tried other studios but this one is by far my favorite - never too crowded and good variety of classes. The instructors are so nice and learn everyone's names. Nicole is a sweetheart! Sad to be leaving New York because I will miss this studio.

I’ve completed 49 class with Pilates Heights and highly recommend coming here. I’m a big fan of Narissa and Kat’s Fusion and Barre classes. They have a full schedule of classes (reformer and mat too) during the week and are open half days Fri-Sun. I usually go on a weekday so it has worked out well for me. Narissa and Kat do a good job of teaching advanced movements so if you feel like it you can make your workout harder or less hard. I find that the versatility is great for varying skill levels. I never tried barre until this studio and they made it so enjoyable. I feel good after every class :)

Depending on the time of day classes can be smaller - I find that class is too packed on Fri/Sat mornings so I tend to avoid those times. I prefer to have more room and not worry about hitting the person next to me. Booking is easy in the Walla app and I can cancel up to 12 hours in advance.

The receptionist, Maria, has been very communicative via email and friendly in person! She helped me put my membership on hold when I went on vacation.

Pros: varying styles instructors, intro offers (this is how I started), classmates are respectful, lockers, 2 bathrooms, it’s clean!

Cons: depending on the time of day class can be packed, steep staircase up to the studio (not sure I saw an elevator but it’s on the first floor).

I really like this studio, the staff and instructors are great, and I have enjoyed all the classes I’ve taken so far (though some were definitely above my skill level 😅). My only critique is the inability to contact someone in real time. There’s a 5 minute window to be late (which is not a lot in a place like NYC especially with often unexpected train delays). While I typically arrive well before class begins, on two occasions I wasn’t sure I would make it in time and there was no way to communicate with anyone, so I had to negotiate whether to cancel or no-show and be charged $20 or hope that I would make it in time or be turned away. Thankfully, both times I made it, but the stress and inability to call and speak to someone was very frustrating. I get moving towards apps and email for the sake of efficiency, but sometimes nothing replaces the ability to call and have contemporaneous communication with a live person.

This studio is very friendly and all of the instructors are highly skilled and make class accessible to all. My only complaint is the quality of the sound system in the main barre studio is about 1/10. I’ve been coming here for a few years and can’t believe they haven’t upgraded it! It sounds like static noise and makes class way less enjoyable, which is too bad because Kat had such a good playlist today.

This studio has been such a coveted part of my weekly routine for 4 years (even virtually thru the pandemic!). They recently added reformer and the classes are phenomenal. Pilates Heights has the BEST instructors and the best class selection.

Finally writing a review after coming here for 7 years! Most importantly, the instruction is top notch. I've taken Pilates classes across the city and the classes here are by far the best--interesting lesson plans that keep you engaged, an emphasis on form and functional movement, and individualized attention and modifications so the class is right for you. It's clear that the studio puts a lot of emphasis on training and quality. Many of the instructors have been there the entire time I've been going, which shows the level of investment that the studio has in them and vice versa. It's a place you can really develop relationships, feel at home, and grow. The front desk staff is also super welcoming, on the ball, and helpful!

I love this studio. People who work here and the people who go to the classes are positive and supportive. Classes are excellent. They provide support for all levels (always mindful pre/post natal and for injuries and also for “cardio queens” so you can get the most out of the class no matter what).

This is one of my favorite places in Brooklyn! The instructors are so encouraging and will challenge you in every workout. Somehow it feels like a private session even if it's a full class, and that's because of the attention they give each person:)

Receptionists had attitude problems. Questionably management. The owner is rigid and lack people skills. The actual teachers and classes are good, but overall, the other staff put me off from going back.

I have been with this studio for close to 4 years now and they are the absolute best! On top of their amazing cardio blast barre workouts, the space feels like a real community and they have been my saving grace during quarantine. Loving their new virtual classes!

BEST ZOOM CLASSES EVER. I discovered Xtend Barre BK on Class Pass when I moved to the area, and I fell in love with the vibe at the studio and the instructors. I had tried a lot of different barre classes, but the combo of toning and cardio that I found in Xtend Barre was second to none. However, this studio has become my real favorite during COVID-19. I tried out a bunch of different at-home work outs at the start of the "stay at home order", and this one was the clear winner. Their instructors are incredible in their ability to motivate you and foster a sense of community even though we are all exercising remotely. If you want to feel engaged during your at-home workouts, this is your class.

The teachers at Xtend Barre are incredible! Kristine, Amber, Isabella...they are all the cream of the crop when it comes to skilled, passionate, and motivated instructors. They all have extensive training and impressive backgrounds in dance, pilates, and fitness. Their intelligent guidance and well constructed classes promote strength, flexibility, endurance, and overall well-being! I highly recommend making them a part of your wellness plan!

I will start this off by saying I have never once taken a dance class or barre class in my life. And, somehow, Xtend has made me feel like I am a bada$$ ballerina that is strong strong strong. The instructors are friendly and knowledgeable and ENCOURAGING. They are willing to help and answer any questions and have become like "friends" (even if they don't know it!). They offer so many types of classes. Barre. HIIT. Pilates. And more. There's something for everyone. Take a class. You won't regret it.

I love this place! It has such a positive community and I adore all the instructors I've had so far. The wide variety and frequency of the classes make it easy to try something new and fit classes into whatever schedule you have. While I was hesitant at first, I have embraced the more cardio focused nature of these barre classes (compared to many others I've taken). Overall, if you enjoy Barre and pilates, I highly recommend trying this place out. Nicole is a great instructor choice if you're a beginner!

The instructors are incredibly kind and pay diligent attention to make sure you're giving each class your all. I just wish I discovered this place sooner.
