I came to Pamela about two years ago by referral from my Chiropractor because of significant debilitating radiculopathies that caused me to lose muscle mass and function in my left leg. I credit Pamela with her ability to carefully strengthen my core muscles which now support my back resulting in my being totally recovered. I have had no recurrences.

I have known Pamela for about 15 years.
She has always been a excellent instructor and runs a excellent studio.
Words cannot describe. I can't think of one bad thing about her.even through the covid epidemic she handled everything to the tee.i wish I could give her a 100 stars

I have been going to PilatesWorks for several years, and it has made a huge difference to my core strength. Pam is very careful to be sure the exercises are within my reach, and takes every precaution to ensure I improve without getting hurt. Moreover, she is friendly and warm and a pleasure to be with.

Pamela is as excellent for the core as she is for the soul and mind. Her studio and high-end equipment are immaculate β€” a reflection of her high standards as a customer-facing business owner β€” and the view of Lake Gleneida is breathtaking. I always leave feeling better than when I arrive I would go every day if I had the time.

Pamela Nelson is a fantastic pilates instructor and an even better human being. I have been training with her for over 7 years and can't begin to explain the physical, but even moreso the mental benefits of practicing Contrology. Pamela is always encouraging and understanding as she guides me in following the classical style of pilates movements with proper form. The first words out of her mouth prior to each session after Hello! is always "How's the body?" She ensures that she knows of any issues or concerns I have and tailors each lesson to those. She is extremely safety conscious and constantly reminding me to inform her if anything causes pain or if I need to stop. She delivers her instructions gently and clearly. I can't imagine what my life would be like without Pilates and more importantly Pamela Nelson being a huge part of it!

Pamela is an exceptional teacher and guide. She has been my instructor for more than five years. My husband and I are both over 70 and see Pam regularly. Pam is extremely effective at guiding us through exercises which ensure our safety and success. Her knowledge of Pilates the theory underlying it as well as her skillful communication has kept us strong and flexible I highly recommend Pamela

I started at Pilatesworks two years ago, I cannot believe how far I have come. I have core strength and energy. Pam has motivated me to be a pilates lover. I am challenged every session! When I travel I always look for a pilates studio to continue my studies. Thanks Pam!

The best Pilates ever. Pamela has increased my range of motion after two major injuries! She is professional and constant checks on my injuries. My core strength is amazing now. She is great on keeping me motivated. I love my Pilates time!

Pamela is one of the best Pilates instructors that I have worked with in the 25 years that I have been doing Pilates. She helps me to stay fit and limber, working with my body to keep it strong. Every session is tailored to fit the needs of my body as Pamela can tell where I need to concentrate the work that day. I walk into the studio with a stiff, tight body and walk out younger, looser and feeling great. If you want to work Classic Pilates, this is the studio to go to get strong, build your core and work every muscle in your body. Pamela makes the session fun, energetic and makes sure that you are working safely in the traditional Joe Pilates method.

My 70 year old mom bought a package of 10 ($90/hr!) sessions, so she spent $900 on Pam’s place of business, excited to get back into Pilates. Unfortunately Pam pushed her too hard and even as my mom yelped in pain, attempting a move Pam encouraged, Pam continued to push her (completely inappropriate when your client is 70 years old). Because of this my mom ended up injuring her sacroiliac and spent the next few months spending even more money on physical therapy. Of course she did not want to go back to PilatesWork. A year later (because it took her over a year to build up the courage to ask…) when my mom asked for a refund on the remaining 4 classes ($400), Pam refused to refund her, essentially saying they expired . I’m writing this review because while I understand PilatesWork is a business, it’s very sad to me what poor customer service Pam showed. This was an incident that happened, my mother was injured under her instruction, yet she did not offer to make things right in any way or even simply apologize.

I have been going to PilatesWorks for seven years. When I started, I basically had no core strength even though I had taken other Pilate classes over the years. I am happy to say, I am now doing advanced work that I never dreamed of being able to do. Pamela is the best. She not only has incredible knowledge of our bodies but is the most caring, talented teacher I have ever worked with.

Pam is incredibly knowledgeable and professional. Both my husband and I go to her on a weekly basis and she is able to tailor our workouts to each of our needs. In the most pleasant way, she pushes you to do your best and you won’t believe how good the results are!!! I am so much stronger & healthier because of her! Even when I come back from a long flight and my body is tight, tight, tight- she knows just what exercises will release all the tension and ease those aches & pains.
And did I mention her manner? She is so thoroughly friendly & supportive, it is a pleasure to spend that hour with her.
I cannot recommend her enough

I had taken Pilates at one prior studio. Night and day compared to this one. Pam is not only a fantastic teacher, and incredibly nice and fun, but she is great at individualizing her teaching around your abilities and needs, and prior injuries, etc. And the impact on my physical health has been surprising! No more neck and back pains/spasms, etc. after only a few months. It's been 18 months now. I can't rave enough about Pam!!

Pam Nelson is the best teacher I have ever had--that includes graduate school and lots of athletic activities--because she knows her subject thoroughly, she communicates clearly, and she has a way of getting you to engage muscles you didn't even know you had. She has a quirky sense of humor and she cares about every moment of the session.

I've been going to Pilates Works weekly for over two years. Pamela is wonderful! She is a talented instructor! She pushes me hard, but is acutely aware of and sensitive to my limitations. I've gained core strength, greater flexibility and range of motion, improved my posture and balance. Pamela is also a genuinely nice person, and I thoroughly enjoy my time at Pilates Works.
