About the Club

Pinnacle Athletic Campus has transitioned their facility model to a membership-focused concept. Ownership and staff is eager to see Pinnacle thrive on being 'the spot' where individuals and families can go as their home away from home. From working or studying in our beautiful members' lounge, entrusting in our childcare programs, putting miles in on the track, training on our turf, lifting weights in any of our functional weight training areas, attending a group fitness class, to so much more. While Pinnacle remains open to hosting special events, practice space, and tournaments, these opportunities will be offered on a limited basis with newly implemented procedures. This ensures the focus remains on serving the needs of the membership.

I recently joined. Last week they held an event on the turf field inside. I was told 800 people attended. The next day there was trash, empty water bottles, dirty plates and silverware strewn all over the turf. Papers and trash on the track. Horrible and not to mention unsanitary. Apparently the owner was too cheap to hire a proper clean up crew. Very poor business practices.

We hosted our daughter's birthday in the party room and were thrilled with Pinnacle's service and offerings. From the team led games throughout the space for the kids to the food to the flexibility on setting up the room; it felt relaxed, fun and stress-free! I would host an event here again in the future!

*Recently under new management, keep in mind when reading older reviews*

I was a spectator at the Wrecking Ball Rugby Tournament this weekend and I am so impressed with this facility! The staff were amazing and so friendly, the facility was spotless with lots of parking and spectator space, excellent accessibility and NO spectator fees. The coffee shop/concession stand was great for quick snacks (even though they let me bring in my own coffee both mornings, I still needed snacks later in the day), water bottle filler was awesome and there is even a bar. Plus, even though I wasn’t there to use the athletic facilities, if I lived closer I definitely would get a membership, great spaces and equipment. Thank you!

Shame on this facility's management team. Here is a picture I took this weekend of a group of young ladies (a team my daughter competed against) being forced to celebrate a teammate's birthday in the lobby because they wouldn't allow the father to bring in Crumbl Cookies. Rather than allowing this young lady a special and private moment with her teammates in some other area of the facility, the staff gave them no other choice than to stand just outside the check in desk like a group of criminals. I can understand wanting to avoid outside food and drink on an individual/visitor level to promote your in house offerings, but there should certainly be exceptions for anything related to the athletes that are the very lifeblood of this otherwise excellent place. Pinnacle management, the legacy you are creating for yourselves will not be well remembered. Shame.

Nice facility. I might be able to stomach $5 each for me and my 4 year old to watch an entire day’s worth of volleyball/basketball/etc. games. Being charged a spectator fee while my 7 year old participated in a one hour Little League clinic, however, is insanity. The lady working the front desk is always professional, polite, and courteous. The smug teenager on “security” patrol is ridiculous. I would drive to New Jersey rather than pay another dime to support this business.

Good facilities but they are all about the money. Charged $7 for a child under 10 to attend tournament. Here for 8 to 10 hour tournament and asked if we could walk around the indoor track as it was cold and raining outside. Told by staff it would cost an additional $8 to do that as a day pass was $15. Dread coming here for events.

Pinnacle should be the shining star of Victor, NY; but it is far from it. They now charge $5 per person to watch a child practice in a program that one has already spent hard earned money for. No food and outside drink allowed is also another dumb policy to force you to pay for their overpriced items. The management of this facility should be ashamed of themselves for their rude demeanor. They are going to lose many clients and potential clients because of their greedy policies. You would think that this facility would want to partner with a town that embraces their youth athletic programs. It's really sad.

Updated review (2024). Downgraded review to two stars due to poor customer service and management. Other reviews say it all. Still can’t bring in outside beverages or food. This is archaic and unreasonable. My daughter has a tournament today with responsibilities at 11 am, 12 noon, and 1 pm. Thus, she’s busy from 11am-2pm. They’re only allowed to use the cafe and can’t have their own food in a bag brought in. Completely unreasonable for families and athletes. No time to go to cafe. Told I couldn’t bring coffee in today because they have a cafe. Explained that it was already purchased and my discarding of it or consuming it does not impact a sale at their cafe. Their only response is that they are strict on their policies. However, Girl Scouts are selling cookies inside today. That is outside food that should not be permitted. Either you’re strict or you’re not. This place is a money grab.

(2021) Great facility, but very frustrating that you can’t bring your own drinks in to the place. At least allow parents to bring coffee in when games start at 7 am and we need to bring our players there before the cafe opens.

Absolutely insane to charge parents for practice, even worse, a 1 hour practice! We already paid for the field time when we registered our kids. Parents have a lot of reasons to watch their kids practice and that should be encouraged, including being there if an elementary school aged kid gets injured. Seems like unnecessary money grab. We will be avoiding Pinnacle whenever possible in the future and would never recommend them.

As evident by the flood of many poor reviews, this facility is losing local support by poor decisions, cash grabbing, and unprofessional methods of enforcing overly restrictive policies that do not fit the needs of their youth athletes. I truly hope the owners wake up and recognize that generating such angst among their customers is a terrible business decision.

This “facility” is an embarrassment to the area.
It might be pretty on the outside, but its greedy, thoughtless business model is egregiously out of touch with the needs of athletes, coaches, parents and caregivers. To charge a $5 fee per person to simply watch a child’s practice is outrageous. To not allow outside food or sports drinks is irresponsible , especially when the café options do not include all dietary needs. To not allow a parent to be present for their child with a medical need without paying the above fee is unforgivable.
Shame on this place. It could be so welcoming, and a true “pinnacle” of excellence for Victor.
Sadly, it has chosen to create a monopoly of disregard and dysfunction.

I had to drop my 9 year old off at a practice and my wife was picking him up. I always walk him to the field and help him get his pads on, get his water out, etc..before his practices. Pinnacle is a nice facility for athletics in the area. Unfortunately, as you can see from the flood of recent reviews, they are making incredibly poor business decisions and there are claims in the reviews of which would indicate the owners have not consulted their attorneys. The facility has an ok cafe with a variety of foods. It is open just limited hours and the lines are often too long for the few minutes of downtime a player may get. If you have a food allergy or a medically restrictive diet, they do not care. You may not bring outside food or beverages in. If you're hungry after the cafe closes, you're out of luck. At least there are many nice places in the area for food as long as the players have time to go outside to the car to eat.

Sadly, clubs which use Pinnacle for tournaments are likely to look elsewhere next year. The owners do not recognize that they need to have happy customers if they want any future customers. Tournament directors are not going to want to hold a tournament at a facility that teams don't want to go to. Teams are not going to sign up for tournaments where the parents/coaches/players don't want to go. It's so sad to see such a great place suffer from poor business practices.

i had a two day tournament here this weekend and my coach told me we weren’t allowed to bring in any food or anything, and how pinnacle was trying to search through our bags. not making this up because the club that plays at this facility emailed every team participating saying that. during my tournament i noticed pinnacle staff going through softball players bags, as there was a softball tournament as well. as a player who plays here a good amount of time with volleyball tournaments, this rule is beyond stupid. we need nutrition throughout a long hard day and the cafe doesn’t have tiny snacks like granola bars or anything, the water fountain is barely ever working, makes it difficult to quickly fill up my water bottle in between games. not only all this, but a staff member went up to the second floor and threw out 3 dunkin drinks a team had on table, they were taking peoples food and drinks the entire weekend, i have never seen a facility be so strict

This place is nothing but a money grab. Charged $7 per day to watch my daughter play only to be yelled at walking in with a small bag with snacks for her after a long day of volleyball. The water filling stations are never were on. The bathrooms were very dirty and the staff was extremely rude. We were also told that we couldn't walk the track even though we paid a fee to be in the facility. We have visited many venues and this is the only one with these outrageous rules. It will come back to hurt them because now people purposely will not buy from their Cafe and clubs are starting to say they will not enter a tournament at this facility. Bad business and a bad look for the owners!

If I could give 0 stars I would.

No outside food policy is absolute garbage. So what we have to buy your food or eat in the parking lot in a cold car. We spend 5-6 hours a day there for an entire weekend and I think it’s unreasonable to ban outside food. I’VE NEVER BEEN TO A VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT OR VENUE THAT HAS HAD THIS POLICY. On top of that my daughter has food allergies and the cafe had things on their menu that she could not be exposed to. So yea we brought our own food for her. I’m guessing you're just being greedy but who knows, you wouldn’t tell us why when we asked, and then wanted to argue with us about food allergies.

Instead of welcoming people into your facility and showing incredible customer service you confront them and threaten to kick them out and/or call the cops on them. Made for a very memorable experience.

This place nickels and dimes you to death after charging fees to get in. Water filling stations don’t work, probably on purpose to force you to buy their beverages. There’s very limited seating to watch your child play. Concessions are subpar and they do not allow even the athletes to bring food in. Kids don’t want huge meals before a game. Prices of concessions and vending machines are expensive. I will purposely not buy a thing from Pinnacle out of principle.

★ 1

Everyone should 1 star Pinnacle so that management gets the message that charging a spectator fee to watch your children practice is an extremely poor business practice and a money grab. They can make up this fee in concessions or increased charges to the sports leagues using the facility. Yes this will most likely result in increased fees from the sports league but its not something parents should have to be concerned with every time you take your child to practice. As some other reviews stated watching and supporting your children at practice fosters your parent-child relationship and provides opportunities to get to know other parents. Not sure if Pinnacle realizes that their money grab this year will result in substantially reduced revenue next year when leagues don't return. Their deceitful business practices should only fool local sports leagues once.

$5 for parents and siblings to watch practice?! Unreal.

Charging parents $5 to attend their kids' lacrosse practice seems counterintuitive to the spirit of community involvement in youth sports. Such fees could hinder the encouragement and support parents provide to their children, both emotionally and physically. Family participation is integral to fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere within sports programs, and imposing fees may create unnecessary obstacles. It's crucial to prioritize an environment that encourages parental engagement rather than placing financial burdens on those seeking to actively support their children's activities and development.

I had a 5 star review. We’ve participated in several sports here. Was a great place, recent changes are disappointing. Now we have to pay to watch practice on a balcony. It’s just greedy and unnecessary! Quote from their website, “Pinnacle has implemented a $5.00 spectator fee for those parent(s) and/or sibling(s) that would like to stay and watch practices. This was done as a safety measure for the athlete(s), coach(es), parent(s) and members. We ask spectators that have paid, proceed to the upstiars balcony are to view their athlete. We do offer our cafe area for those that wish not to participate in the spectator fee.”

When I dropped my daughter off at her lacrosse game, I was shocked to see that parents weren't allowed to watch their children. Furthermore, the price was not the same for everyone. The price for adults is 7 dollars which is okay if they just want to enter for exercise or walking not for watching their kids' games. The price is totally absurd and greedy for charging kids under the age of 12 and senior citizens who have pensions not working salaries. This is very degrading and greedy for the management to decide the cost of entrance for the parents of their kids' games on Sundays. I have never seen like that before because in the past I have attended Total Sports Experience, and Athletic Campus in Brighton area they are welcome us at no charge. What a huge shame!!

I am very disappointed in this place. The league my daughter is on pays an hourly fee to use the field. Now Pinnacle is charging a fee for us
(Parents) to come in and watch our child. I hope that my daughter's league finds a new venue next year. This place is just looking to charge for every little thing, and surprise you at the door with new fees.

This weight room is the biggest joke I have ever seen at a "gym". Its VERY small and lacks the most basic lifting equipment. For comparison, it's smaller than the locker room at planet fitness but looks like it was built with temporary walls and old equipment found behind a trailer park. You will not be able to complete an actual workout in this weight room. Back day? Forget it. They don't have ANY of the basic equipment or machines. Your chest day will be reduced by 75% or more, and you might be able to do 2 or 3 sets of legs before running out of equipment to use. If you're looking for a place to lift, this is not it. Someone needs to open a real gym in Victor. This is a pathetic excuse.

LSI Solutions rented out Pinnacle for our Wellness Day in June and it was amazing! Our people had a fun, memorable time, and it has improved our employee engagement.
Mary and the staff worked hard to make it a wonderful day. Pinnacle sourced instructors for us and made suggestions to ensure the day flowed smoothly and all types of sport options were available to us. They were ready to be flexible in case we had to switch a few things around due to weather circumstances which eased the stress for those at LSI planning the event.
Would recommend to any business that they use Pinnacle for a corporate event.

What a disappointment. We can only hope next year’s tournament will move to a new venue. The facility and complex are very nice however the staff and utilization of space for wrestling was the worst tournament by far. The lack of a second exit to the wrestling area is a definite fire hazard, being more concern for what I’m not sure. The entrance was completely around the far end which was ridiculous with no announcement to emergency exit only threat to immediate expulsion is you utilized an exit through Velcro netting. As stated in another review, we had a true CERTIFIED TRAINED SERVICE DOG ISSUE also. Welcomed in but had to sit up in corner. These people best learn ADA laws quickly! This was one week to day from Buffalo massacre and they were more concerned at checking for outside drinks and food than the vulnerable environment. Yelling at our wrestlers and families for drinks but not offering sports drinks just energy drinks. Watching our kids through netting… please USA WRESTLING MOVE FROM THIS VENUE!! bathroom design is horrible and upstairs was out of order a couple downstairs also had several stalls out of order. One dryer but 4 sinks, broken locks, ugh am I out of space?

The place is nice but ran by horrible miserable people. They pay their employees salary and make them work 10-12 hr days sometimes 10-12 days in an row. I heard Bonnie is the negative Nancy of the place. A guy I know who worked there took took his birthday off in advance. They messaged him at 3am and asked him to come in that day in his birthday. He said no and they basically fired him. What a bunch of pathetic employees running the place. Boooo!

It’s unbelievable how horrible the management is at this complex. The owner, who I was told is named Sharon, harassed and yelled at me twice today. ROC Spirit held a cheerleading competition here (their staff was so lovely and helpful), and I’m a cheerleader with a service dog for my disability. Before my mother and I could even walk into the event, Sharon was demanding certification papers from me and telling me it was a huge liability for me to have my service dog on the turf - where the entire competition was being held and where I was required to be in order to compete. I quickly let her know that she is not legally allowed to ask me for certification nor separate me from my dog, as proven by the American Disabilities Act, which I showed to her on my phone. My condition is stress-related/induced, so at this point I was shaking so badly I could barely stand. After storming off and not returning, the woman running the competition asked us what was wrong, and after hearing our difficulties, told us she would take care of it and let us into the event.

About an hour later, my mom and I took my dog outside to go to the bathroom just to be cautious (she is well trained, but had never been on turf before.) Upon return, a staff member told me that I could not take her onto the turf. After explaining that she had already been in there and we presumed it had been taken care of, we went back in. Soon after that, I took my dog with me to the extremely overpriced cafe ($7 for a small smoothie?), where Sharon stopped me again and told me I was not allowed to bring my dog onto the turf for “sanitary purposes.” She told me I couldn’t compete and that she was going to call the police to have me removed. I told her she was welcome to do that, so she stormed off yet again. I was left stranded in a corner without my phone or my mother, as the supervisors at the entrances would not allow me inside to get my things. I had to wave down a member of my gym so she could let my mom know what was happening. My mom came out and we waited for about ten minutes for an employee sent by Sharon to tell us that I was allowed on the turf with my service dog. So, we went back in and were, yet again, stopped by a worker who told us the owner had given her specific instructions not to let me in with my dog. We explained several times that we were JUST let in, but she insisted that she was not allowed to let me on the turf. We brought her back out to speak to the supervisor who was told to let us in, and were finally allowed in again.

Between the ADA violation, Sharon’s hostility, disrespect, and blatant ignorance, the disregard for my safety, and the severe lack of communication between staff members, this place should be shut down. Please, be aware of your rights and do not give this establishment a second of your time.

Way too crowded at the cheerleading event we were at and couldn't even see while on chairs had to sit on the turf on the ground in order to see way too many people at the same time should have been maybe split up times and for girls to get there and their families 3 hrs ahead of time was 😧 crazy

Owner and staff were externally disrespectful to a teammate of mine at the cheer competition held there today. She was cornered by the owner, keep in mind she’s a minor and didn’t have a parent present, the owner threatened to call the police and everything. All of this was regarding her service dog who is very well behaved.
