I am so glad I started coming here after I switched from another gym. The staff is so helpful and friendly, the equipment is maintained, there is a variety of exercise machines, cable weights Smith machines free weights and a variety of cardio machines. There’s plenty of space so I never feel crowded inside while exercising even if it’s during the gyms most popular times. It’s so clean in every area and the locker area is always clean. I recommend the Black Card because of the added benefits and the price is affordable for any budget. I am in my 60’s and I have met other seniors who feel very comfortable here no matter what level of fitness they’re on. People that use this gym are friendly and helpful. There’s plenty of parking and the area is very safe . I go later at night so I was happy to see a well lit parking area with no worries while walking to my car. I recommend this gym highly!

The hardest workers there are: Nate, Vincent and Don. Everytime I go in there and they arnt working it’s just younger adults messing around. I’ve worked at planet fitness before and another gym so I know there is always something to be done.

When asked for max time on stand up 6, I got 6 minutes- max time is 9. These are things you should know when working at PF. Today I went into stand up 7, and it doesn’t work. No sign, nobody came into clean it, nothing. I called the front desk and the lady said it’s warming up. It’s not warming up, I’m pressing the start button I’ve tanned so many times here. I waited a few minutes outside of the stand up room 7, and nobody has the decency to put a sign up. Machines are dusty, mainly the cable tower toward the top.

If PF had more workers like Nate, Vince and Don this place would have gotten 5 stars! The problem is people are incompetent to do a job. Planet fitness does train their employees to do multiple processes on the job and I don’t think sitting on the counter on your phone and flirting with co-workers is one of them. Unless PF changed their job training within the past 2 years…

Great gym. I'm in town visiting family and working out here for just a week. I live in California where gyms are everywhere, and this Planet Fitness is impressive even by CA standards. Friendly staff: Don, Vincent and team are awesome. A clean gym - seems very new - with a good variety of equipment: free weights, machines and cardio. Definitely fits the "un-gym" judgement-free zone that Planet Fitness claims. No gym bros deadlifting 800 pounds, slamming the weights then screaming "YEAH!!!". A quiet gym with cool people, everybody is respectful and nice and does their thing. I'm amazed how almost everyone wipes down their machine when finished too, using the provided cleaning solution and paper towels. Love this place!

Was told my membership was canceled , they still charged me $49 2 weeks later , I simply called to see how we reverse this and figure it out the kid on the phone at the desk was rude not helpful , $49 isn’t the end of the world it’s the principal they didn’t care one bit , he said I was given bad information over the phone then said I need hard proof of this phone call all over $49 I paid the membership month over month no issue when it’s time for one question be careful who you talk to and the manager was less than helpful he heard the entire thing and didn’t care maybe train more customer service I guess good help is hard to find apparently you guys need that $49 more than me

I used to love this Gym but the older people they hired are so rude. There’s an older women and guy who are the meanest. Eye rolling and sarcasm. It’s amazing how two people can make you hate wanting to workout. God forbidden you ask for a massage chair. Doesn’t matter what day you show up on they are mean and judgmental. I have been a member for almost 3 years. I have a few friends who joined and we meet to do cardio. I get good work outs and since I have the black card I like getting a massage each time I go in and also use the total body infrared machine. I'm trying not to tan as I will be 60 soon and don't need anymore sun damage. If I do tan I will use the hybrid tanning machine that's both infrared and tanning.

I have been a member of the Clay Planet Fitness for a year. I recently upgraded to the Black Card and love it even more. The tanning, massage chairs and body enhancement are all wonderful. I have been going to or have worked at various gyms over 40 years. Planet Fitness has everything I could ever need in a gym. While on vacation we went to Planet Fitness in Florida and my husband was my guest thanks to the Black Card. When I need to visit Dad on one side of town I can go to Planet Fitness in Westvale. If my husband has his cancer treatment I can go to N Syracuse or Dewitt. All 3 of the other clubs have arc trainers so it makes going to the other clubs more exciting for me for cardio as I usually use the ellipticals and other various machines that are provided. Planet Fitness is clean and the staff is always friendly.

If I could give zero I would. From day one I've had issues. I have a silver sneakers program. My friends have silver sneakers. I wanted to come to this gym. No they would not accept my silver sneakers. A year later. I talk to my senior advisor. He says yes I can join any gym.. I called the planet fitness in another town since baldwinsville wasn't answering. The manager there says yes, it can be converted. I come back. The kids at the desk convert my membership. I'm in. Finally only took a year. A month later I get a call from the manager. I come in to use the gym. Again I'm out. Really??? I'm a senior . This gym is convenient. I'm on a fixed income which is why all these insurance programs give FREE membership. Apparently NOT Planet Fitness. At least NOT the Baldwinsville location .... I'll go elsewhere where I'm appreciated. This is ridiculous 😒.

I am very happy with the Planet Fitness at the Clay location, which is closest to my home. The staff is professional, polite and very helpful. They keep the gym clean and are hard working. I like the wide variety of equipment. I have been very happy with my membership. I am a Black Card member and love the Hydro Massage bed and the red light therapy. My only complaint is that the Clay location does not provide personal trainers, which is supposed to be one of the perks of this upgraded membership. I pay the same as other locations, but am not getting the same benefits for the money. I'd have to go to another location. which is inconvenient. I'd be sooo happy if the Clay location would get a personal trainer!

Overall I'm very happy with this gym and was thrilled to have a location closer to my home. However, the newness is wearing off now having been established for a bit. I know this particular location has no control over the "Crowd Meter" but the meter on the app is completely inaccurate and useless so I use the old school method of observing how many cars are in the parking lot to gauge the capacity. My main complaint is the cleanliness of this location. Not being a 24 hour location I would expect the gym to be spotless when they open. Many things are obvious to me... No one is cleaning thoroughly before closing or just after the gym closes, They have no overnight cleaning crew, and the opening crew at 5:00am is not motivated enough to do it right away. So they choose the least opportune time to do the cleaning they are inevitably instructed to do. I come in during the weekdays around 7:30am, sometimes earlier and the bathrooms are horrendous! Smell like urine, poop splatters on the toilets (hardened) Not removable by flushing. The showers are dirty and sometimes have bandaids laying near the drains. This morning the desk attendant decided it was a good time to scrub all the showers at 8:30am.. So once again I didn't get to shower before work. This has happened multiple times and I'm not going to jump in there A) While he's trying to clean them, and B) knowing they're dirty (because he's just now cleaning them). The desk attendants are clearly bored and need some structure from Management. Lastly, Very often the paper towel holders are empty and I have to wander around to find a full one to be able to wipe my equipment. Not enough reasons for me to abandon ship just yet.. Hoping the constructive criticism helps. Thank you

I'm living it! PF is great. I even go when I'm out of town. My favorite location is Dewitt, NY. Every staff member is helpful and nice. Things are kept tidy and sanitized. Honest, hard working staff mixed with a large location so you dont feel crammed in a sardine can. This place would get a 5, but I've been a member for over a month now, and the ONLY water fountain to refill your water bottles has been broken the entire time. I never see anyone even attempting to fix it. Having fresh filtered water is pivotal for a gym. The fact that it has not been a priority is a head scratcher. Other than that, the gym is great. This is the cleanest of all the Planet Fitness’ I’ve been to and I’ve been to both the Dewitt and North Syracuse locations. Staff is friendly and the gym is super spacious which I love. The only issue I have is during my last visit, there was a transgender woman in the woman’s locker room. I have no issue with anyone being who they feel they are however I do not feel comfortable sharing a locker room with a person assigned male at birth. I am not homophobic however I didn’t want to change my clothes and ended up changing in the bathroom stall. My spouse and family members weren’t comfortable as well when I presented them with my dilemma because I do not want to be labeled as homophobic. Hopefully the gyms will present a solution so we all feel welcome.

It's not even open anymore (Oswego location). I drove all the way here from Pulaski. I'm so mad.

Edit: so, I'm an idiot and didn't realize they relocated. There's no signs and the GPS still brings you to the old location. I'm still only giving 3 stars because some of the staff at this location are super stuck up and make me feel uncomfortable. Just wanted to say that everything at this club has exceeded my hopes, so far. I can't get over how friendly the staff are, how clean and new the club feels, no matter how busy it is. Equipment is well maintained, and organized in a way that makes sense. There are plenty of back up options when equipment is being used by another guest. At first everything was great but we just cancelled our membership due to our safety concerns. We have become the vast minority of mask wearers over the past few weeks. Last I checked NY State has an indoor mask mandate in place. Staff told me they recommended people to wear masks as he was talking to a friend at the desk who was not wearing a mask the entire time he was at the gym. Don't post on the front door that masks are required if you let 75% of the people in that don't even have a mask insight. Manager even said masks were required or asked to leave. 2 weeks later problem had gotten even worse. Even heard stories of employees telling members they don't have to wear a mask... I don't love masks either but I think of family and friends that have health issues and want to keep them protected. Good job Planet Fitness for ignoring laws in place!

I have been lifting weights for over 45 years. From Bodybuilding to Powerlighting and I was a Personal Trainer for years. I been to so many gyms over the years. Planet Fitness is the Perfect gym to stay in shape or for a complete lifestyle change. That is why I joined. Newly opened all brand new top of the line equipment. The best I ever have used or seen. So many bikes, Treadmills, Elipicals and that type of equipment you will never ever have to wait to use one. Same with the weight machines. At least 25 or more large screen televisions, there is just to much to explain. Brayden is an outstanding employee and trainer, if not for him I would not have joined. I was there the day before and asked questions and looked around. Came back next day to sign up, I was pretty much told to go home and sign up online and download the Planet Fitness app. I was about to walk out and I hope i spelled Brayden name right. He said I will help you and he did and examined so much more about the gym besides the workout equipment and very low prices on different memberships. By that employee willing to help out in just 2 days I got them 2 new members. It spreads I mentioned this to the manager about her employee. That is how you run a business. Don't be lazy and unhelpful.The only thing I will ad that if you are a powerlifter or a hard core lifter this gym will not suit you for sure. 5 out of 5 Stars

First time in there it’s probably been open for about a month if that and I walk in scan my membership black card and then I walk towards the black card membership area and a lady at the desk starts yelling at me saying ma’am where are you going you can’t go that way what do you need and I said well I’ve never been here so I don’t know where the locker rooms are located and she says well if you need a tour just ask so safe to say not very judge mental free and I will not be back ever

Not alot of people go here. It is clean and all new equipment. The staff is friendly as well. My only complaint is they let people go without masks when I'm pretty sure everyone is suppose to wear them.
