Perhaps my expectations are a bit too high for this PF, as I’m comparing it to other PFs outside of NYC. However, I do believe that this PF can improve by consistently cleaning the machines and staying on top of fixing or replacing out-of-order machines. I understand space is limited over here too compared to other gyms, but the 30-minute workout area deserves more machines than it currently has. I find the Metal bars in front of the bench press machines to be useless. Maybe those can be removed?
Lastly, I think more spaces can be created here if the machines were reorganized. As a newbie, I had difficulty finding the machines I needed for my workouts.

I was here about a week ago on Sunday. Prior to that it’s probably been about 8 years since I touched this gym. I want to say that the staff there was very friendly and special shout out to Jay that went above and beyond when it came to accommodating and knowing where to direct people! *The wifi at this location has been fixed! I can now listen to my music while exercising once again. phone service is still bad in most areas of the gym, but as long as wifi is up its not an issue.

This location has never been a burden to visit. One of its greatest features is the amount of windows on both sides of the building which alleviates any feeling of claustrophobia and allows ample light to flow through the space for great energy flow. Next time i got back i will see if they have fixed any of the mens lockers, as 95% of the large ones were broken

A man sprayed right next to me with the cleaning spray as I was doing a highly intensive cardio workout, there is no staff around to help and the front desk could gaf.

Out of the four (4) stair masters available, only 2 work right next to each other. The man using one of the machines was cleaning his machine with the spray bottle in hand and dousing the equipment and the air around me. When I asked him to stop, he continued aggressively. It was way more spray than needed and clearly done to antagonize me and cause me harm.

As a woman coming to the gym alone is a hassle, this is 3 days into me using my membership and I will stop now, thanks.

I love this planet fitness. Great machines and spacious. The strength machines should be further apart from each other and i wish they had the arc machine and some of the newer equipment at this location. However the front desk is super friendly and the location is nice and clean. Johnell is great and she makes going to the gym a pleasant experience.

Certain employees are very rude, aggressive and inconsiderate to their members. Overall lack proper customer service.
This review goes to the 5'7ish female wearing the headband with her hair clipped in the back during the 12pm-3pm hour.
1. No one greets the members while entering the club anymore? They're focused on their phones and only looks up when they hear the scanner beep.
2.She was spraying/waving the air freshener can directly in front of the members as they're working out which lacks commonsense. No one wants to inhale the chemicals of the powder scented spray while their in mid workout.
3. I mistakenly left my phone in the lockerroom after I left the club. I was out the facility for about 3-5mins before rushing back in to retrieve my phone. Front desk was occupied. I quickly ran in the back lockerroom and found my phone (luckily) and was about to head out. The worker came into the locker room and said "you need to scan in". I explained to her my situation of how I was just working out but I left my phone. I was about to head out. She said "well even if you left, you need to scan again". I told her " okay, but I scan in with my phone but the phone was in the lockeroom, I can scan now". She said in an aggressive tone "well you can provide your number" I told her, I understand that, but in emergency situations you're only thinking about getting your stuff before it gets stolen. She raises her tone and says "WELL IM JUST LETTING YOU KNOW YOU HAVE TO SCAN THATS THE POLICY". Then goes behind the front desk and is loudly gossiping with the other female about the situation. I was taken back of how quickly her tone escalated.I was only trying to explain why I rushed back in and I understand there's a policy but her aggressive tone was completely unacceptable. I shouldn't be yelled at for trying to explain myself. I was focused on retrieving my phone. It definitely makes me want to cancel my membership with PF if this the type of "customer service" the company allows. I could easily go to Blink down the street.

My experience at first was wonderful I had my husband come with me because I had a black card. This Sunday we was told I had to rescan my card and he can’t use the massage machine because the new protocol is I the card holder can only use it because he can is a guest. We know all the staff there we have a good time and now he can't use the massage machines. We both suffer from bone and back pain this helps a lot after a workout. We was asked if we want to speak to manager because no manager is there. The staff in front a new staff member called the manager Janelle. She was unprofessional rude and wouldn’t let us speak and speak over us. Cut us off and still spoke over us. The way she spoke to us was like she had paid our membership! She was so disrespectful!! And the people infront of us was cancelling their membership it’s not a coincidence!!!They said planet fitness is a scam even a coincidence or not we do not deserve this treatment we need the gym for our health benefits it was horrible!!! The way a manager came on the phone with her disrespectful attitude!! I will never ever go to planet fitness!!! That manager was distasteful!!

Someone stole out of my planet fitness locker today and rifled through my gym bag at the Third Ave location. I told the manager and she said there's nothing they can do because there are no cameras in the locker room because of the showers. Then she said this is the second time this week. Honestly this is my 3rd review after coming faithfully the past couple of weeks I see that it’s the members that miss treat the gym. Although I’m still not happy with the training situation I want to shout out the 2 boys who work every night , I have not cancelled because of them. I’ve been seeing them kill it on the floor, I’m pretty happy it took me a while to warm up to the location but thank you to the boy in pink hat and short cut , I appreciate you both for looking out and making sure we got what we need at night. After 7 is really the best time to come.

Great staff, always helpful and friendly. Clean and sanitary workout areas conducive to a well kept gym environment. Machine maintenance and repairs usually get done in a timely manner. The only bad thing is that the toilet tissue completely runs out often and no matter how much the staff wants to help there's nothing to be done till the next supply shipment. Other than that it's a great gym to work out in.

I enjoy the fact that every machine is available in the gym. I've been to every single Bronx location, and this one, by far, is the most equipped. I also enjoy that machines are repaired in a timely fashion. Other areas in the Bronx will remain broken for months at times. There is a diverse staff of employees, which calls for further feelings of comfort. MY ONE WISH IS that this location was still 24 hours. It's not been easy navigating crowded peak hours since everyone is now trying to fit their workout in a location with hours of operation that have been minimized. This adjustment would increase my rating to a ten easily, wholeheartedly, and humbly. I understand the strain that a 24-hour schedule would put on your employees. Thank you all for what you do. I know this job is not easy. I appreciate every single employee in that purple shirt. Happy New Year. :)
