I’m gonna be honest with you this gym isn’t recommended Theres always people using the smith machines for like hours and don’t realize that other people want to use it to people use the smith machine for 3 hours and its always 4-5 females in one smith machine it’s very annoying,I never got to have my fun with the machine which sucks,and most of the machines i want to use are always broken especially the treadmills and the fittings rooms mirror has been broken for months!! I am now moving to a better gym which is blink fitness do NOT go to this gym

Si estás buscando un gimnasio donde el olor a sudor rancio, sobaco fermentado y falta total de desodorante sean parte del “ambiente fitness”, ¡felicidades! Lamer Fitness es el lugar ideal.

Uno pensaría que pagar una membresía mensual no incluye aromaterapia de grajo, pero parece que aquí sí. Entrenar entre máquinas sudadas y olores insoportables ya es parte del “servicio”, porque cuando uno va a recepción a pedir que por lo menos rocíen ambientador, te dicen que “es normal”. ¿¡Normal!? ¿De cuándo acá el mal olor es parte del entrenamiento?

Lo mínimo que uno espera es higiene básica y algo de respeto por el olfato ajeno. ¿No es tan difícil poner ambientador o recordarles a los clientes (y al personal) que el baño y el desodorante son amigos?

La experiencia es tan desagradable que uno sale con menos ganas de volver y más ganas de ducharse en alcohol.

Si lo que quieren es promover un ambiente saludable, empiecen por combatir la contaminación nasal

When I first started coming here it was a mosquito problem. That got squared away now this particular PF has decided to open at 5am in stead of 24hrs which sucks for people who want to avoid crowds. I'm changing my black card for a regular 1. That's the only reason why they edged out Blink but now it's all the same..what's worse is they changed the time from 24 hrs to about 12 hrs. *update* the mosquito problem has gotten way worse than before and something must be done....UPDATE 8/6/2024 the mosquitoes are out of control! We'd have malaria if we were someplace else. Its June 2025 and the problem still persists. My advice is to go there with bug repellent!

MANAGER misleading information which resulted in funds removed from my bank acct. And when this matter was brought to her attention, there was alot of denial on her part. I requested to speak with her boss, unfortunately her attitude in the way she was handling the matter, was the exact way it was related to her boss which resulted in him not responding to my calls.
I honestly feel, if I was Spanish, it would have turned out differently

Alfred at the canal st location should be manager of the year not only for planet fitness but for any business in creation .. he is kind to his employees beyond fault and he is kind to his clientele beyond fault. truly a pleasure to see him every time I go there to work out .. he should run your entire company and this is coming from a successful 70 year old man with 6 businesses that depends on A+ customer service to survive .. he's a 20 on a 1 to 10 and again he should run the entire business

I like this location. I am a black cardmember and have worked out at several locations. This place is on a smaller side, but they used the space very efficiently.

The first floor has free weights and universal machines. The second floor has cardio and the attic has the free motion and stretch area.

It does get crowded, but the space is well used. The staff is always nice. I don't know their names but I usually see the staff. They are all nice and welcoming.

Went there with my best friend for a first time site visit and the staff was fantastic! They treated us like we've been there for ever! If I could give this gym a zero start I would. Can’t wait to make 90 days so that I can transfer my membership as this is the worst planet fitness gym. The staff could care less about anything and the gym is always filled with children who don’t pay. Now I am paying 16 dollars a month and I can barely get a machine to use because they are taken over by people who just walk in. There is absolutely no structure here. When I first joined there was no welcome greeting and no one to introduce me to the place. All I got was “You can start working out now” and that was it, no hospitality. I would suggest going to another gym if you consider joining Planet Fitness. My father join the one in Parkchester and it was a completely different experience. He was given a tour of the facility and the hospitality service was great. Same with my sister she joined Brooklyn and was treated with hospitality.

Beware. Very Unsanitary. Went to this gym and saw that EVERY station had no paper to wipe down the machines. I spoke to staff and they said they'll have someone put paper...I then waited about a half an hour for someone to put paper in. I DO NOT recommend this site. So, I called and visited Planet fitness with my 16 yr old Autistic son. He wanted to exercise while on spring break. Since it's close to home and says online, that you can visit with a free pass. We did, upon our arrival, we unfortunately were told that they DO NOT allow you a free day pass. My son was so upset. We left, I scrambled to think what we could do......we walked about 2 more blocks and were happily granted a free day pass at Blink's Gym 🏋️‍♂️ no problem at all.

Weekday night crew is the best crew you guys have at this location, but the weekend morning crew, they're always complaining, rude, and just not professional at all. Other than thatthat gym is always clean, and cleaning stations are always filled with cleaning spray and paper towels. People are friendly and always willing to help each other out.

I suppose it is fine for what it is however seems to be the lowest common denominator in terms of gyms, the place is cleanly and staff is generally friendly and helpful, there just isn't enough equipment especially benches and dumbbells, I had personally asked for there to be a second bench on the third floor, would have personally paid for it as well, but nothing has been done yet. Otherwise an okay location, you'll want to go as early as possible though it is very crowded and near impossible to do your workout after 5 pm

I went away on a month vacation abroad. Upon my return, I was charged late fees and some other fees. Before my vacation, I requested a card change from my credit card to debit card because I had lost my credit card and replaced it. I asked to speak to the manager, and all i got was "he isn't here." I am a full-time student and work full time and sometimes redirect my route to the gym to personally speak with the manager. This time, the excuse was "there's a new manager" and that she wasn't around. The next three times i went "their system was down" I still devoted and squeezed time to stop by the gym to get these senseless overdraft resolved since they originally refused to change my card to a functioning card. Instead, they kept overcharging overdrafts on top of overdrafts when they clearly knew it wasn't a functioning card and I was not going to pay until they resolved this issue. Once they purposefully charged my fees up to $400, they were finally willing to change my card to a working card. The manager began writing down my card information without telling me the steps she would be taking, whether she would reduce it. I had to ask her if she was going to waive it , and then tell me she can only waive one overdraft.....for their mistake! I told her to give me my card back and left, ...the disrespect, guess that's how they make their money.
