I'm happy that this location is close to me, but it needs improvements. A lot of people use equipment and machines for quite some time, this is mainly a problem with the weights. Speaking of which, they were all unorganized when I came today. The bathroom smelled musty as well. At times I felt claustrophobic in there due tO the le layout and how many people were there. try not to spend too much time in this location.

I’m writing a review now since I had a membership back in March. I’m tell this gym is awful a lot of high school students who just sit on the machines on their phones doing nothing but laughing. This was a waste of my time of even going there. I canceled my membership in April. Now I go to the Max Fitness and I enjoy every workout. It’s a family that’s cares about you and your well being.

I’ve been going to Planet Fitness, and honestly, it’s the worst gym experience I’ve ever had. The place is full of kids who just sit on the machines glued to their phones. They gather in groups, yelling and screaming, making it impossible to work out. It feels more like a school cafeteria than a gym. There’s no system to keep the machines free for people who actually want to exercise, and no staff stepping in to manage it. I can’t deal with this anymore, so I’m canceling my membership.

Lately my wife which is training there 5 days a week and trying to stay focused on her workouts, right at the counter Management is telling her not to use no more than a pair of weights, so right of the bat she's getting that negative vibes from Management, staff on the other hand instead of assisting people with their workouts they're busy cleaning, not enough equipment and not enough staff and trainers makes me think of a lot of lack of care for people who are not doing anything wrong just trying to stay focus on their workouts, get more equipment for the right people, and if you really want to change things check out on people who are on the phone sitting on the machines. I don't know why there's no suggestions box to fix this matter ( well I know, nobody cares what the people have to say )

I've been a member of this gym for a while now, and I'm very concerned about the number of unsupervised children who are often running around the facility. When I've tried to address the children directly, they’ve been disrespectful and non-receptive. This creates a disruptive environment but also a potentially dangerous one, especially with all the heavy equipment in use. The gym needs to assess its rules regarding children's behavior and supervision to ensure a safer and more positive experience for everyone.

I’ve been a Planet Fitness member since 2016. My account was wrongly closed without my request over three months ago, and despite following up every single week, I keep being told it will be reinstated “soon.” Yet nothing has happened.
It’s becoming clear that this delay is intentional just to force me to open a new account at the current (higher) price.

I stood standing in the middle of 2 machines I waited to become available. These 2 young ppl were on their phones instead of using these machines. I watched one scrolling on IG while the other was ordering on Amazon. They acknowledged me and continued on their phones. Might I recommend staff walk around to tell these ppl to keep it moving. It may help to avoid an arguments and a bad review from a current gym member.

If I could give it 0 stars, I would. IT’S ALWAYS CROWDED — you have to wait to use any machine in the weight area. I signed up in March, paid for the classic membership, and to this day they keep charging me $35 instead of $20. Their excuse is that I’ve missed payments, even though I have two cards linked for payment — if one doesn’t work, the other should be charged. As if charging me an extra $15 wasn’t enough, they also charged me an additional $71, and no, it’s not the annual fee — that was already deducted. When I tried to contact them and request a refund, they said no — that I lost that money and they simply won’t give it back. I do not recommend this place at all.

This location is actually my favorite because the lockers are comfortable and there’s a changing room available. However, over the past two years, some important machines have been damaged multiple times, and I haven’t been able to use them. They really should be replaced with new ones. This issue happens often and it’s very frustrating. Another major issue is the persistent bad odor in the elevator area on the lower floor. It’s really unpleasant and makes using that part of the building uncomfortable.

This gym is literally terrible, anyone whose spent any decent time working out at any other half decent gym can see exactly where they've cut corners. Planet Fitness in general is terrible and lacking but for a new location aside from cleanliness this place is abhorrant. No free weight racks, no way to do real bench presses, no dead lift racks, inadequate equipment,the leg press machine doesn't even have adequate handles to hold while you press. There's also the useless 30 minute exercise circuit space that no one uses along with a full floor of useless cardio machines. Put those spaces to better use with more equipment! There's no convinent trash cans placed anywhere and the disenfectent products are just thrown where ever. No racking or place for paper towels either. Abysmal ghetto gym, I do not recommend this gym what so ever. This gym seems like a quick cash grab for whoever the franchisee is.Have some pride and put adequate equipment and practices in place. For some tips you can visit those at Harbour fitness where I also have a membership. For the same price I recommend them over this dump. Hope I'll have a better review to write at a later date. The second floor of this Planet Fitness has been uncomfortably warm for over a month, with thermostats reading 77-79°F. Optimal workout temperatures should be 68-72°F, but management has yet to address the HVAC issues or replace dead batteries in some thermostats. There’s even a leak upstairs with multiple ceiling tiles removed, making the situation worse. Staff and gym-goers clearly feel the heat, but no action is being taken. Disappointing!

I won’t update review until this situation is addressed. I believe Planet Fitness is being negligent here.

On several occasions went to the gym to work out. The gym was very crowded with teenagers sitting on the machines engaging in conversations. On 8/24/24 I went to the gym. I kindly asked a teenager to allow me to work out on a leg machine. He did so and continued to engage in conversation with his friend who sat on the machine. I’d attempted to use the thread mill while I listen to the news. Much to my surprise the part of the thread mill where you insert the headphones was pulled out on all the thread mills on the ground floor giving the impression that they were deliberately destroyed. Later I was informed that the Department of Education made a deal with Planet Fitness to keep teenagers off the streets with no regard for fee paying members. It’s not fair for paying members to be inconvenienced. I cannot add photos or videos due to privacy reasons of members who work out at the gym.

It's a good solid gymfor those who are on a budget. It's inexpensive, but of course that means it is sometimes crowded. The atmosphere is excellent. Nobody judges anybody and most people are either friendly or just ignore you, which is just fine by me. It could use a few more sets of dumbbells and a couple more machines just to make some of the popular stuff more available. This unfortunately, is really a result of opening a gym in Brooklyn where all real estate is at a premium. Bottom line, this is where I go so that tells you what I think of the place. I work out in the morning. Once the door open, I am there. It makes a big difference when the person who is working the front greets you and the worker Gail does that. I've been going here for almost a year and I'd say overall this gym is decent. It's generally clean and the people are friendly. However, there always seems to be issues on any given day that have to do with broken gym equipment, water fountains, bathroom facilities, leaking ceiling. These issues always take like a month at least to get even halfway resolved. It feels like the bare minimum is done to keep this gym running at the slowest possible pace. As of now, one of the three smith machines is broken, one of the two faucets in the men's locker room is broken, and one of the two hand dryers is broken, one of the locker doors is ripped in half; I don't expect any of these to get fixed anytime soon.

With it being summer now, it's nearly always packed with high school kids hogging the machines, dumbbells, and being generally inconsiderate. It's not even just kids to be honest, full grown adults leave dumbbells all over the floor and never put them back in their proper spots. People not re-racking their weights, not wiping down machines they just used, etc. I've been to other PF locations where none of these issues exist, but here there is no etiquette or any rules being enforced.

I used to be a manager for LA Fitness and a gym customer in various gyms for decades, but Planet Fitness unequivicolly has an amazing staff that provides exceptional customer service... the best I've ever seen in any gym ever, hands down. Caitlyn who works the front desk is absolutely wonderful! My son who has special needs and wife were very apprehensive about joining the gym but Caitlyn and the staff made both of them feel very welcome and fully supported by the entire Planet Fitness team.I work in the health and fitness industry and always recommend Planet Fitness to most of my clients. I recently signed up for a membership at this Planet Fitness location, Unfortunately, my experience was far from ideal. Within minutes of entering the gym, I encountered several issues:

- A strong, unpleasant odor permeated the second floor, making it difficult to breathe comfortably. (This might be the primary reason for my cancellation)

- The water fountains weren't functioning properly, hindering hydration during a workout.

- The overall cleanliness in the restrooms and locker areas left a lot to be desired.

Given these concerns, I approached the front desk within 15 minutes of signing up and requested to cancel my membership. While the staff member was courteous, attempts to speak with the manager about a potential refund were unsuccessful. Frustratingly, I was informed that cancellations and refunds can only be processed by the general manager, who was unavailable at the time and apparently unavailable again when I came back to see him due to an extended break.

While I understand that gyms can get busy, basic hygiene and proper functionality of equipment should be a priority. Unfortunately, my experience at this location fell short in these areas. Furthermore, the lack of a flexible cancellation process, especially considering the immediate issues I encountered, was incredibly inconvenient. For anyone considering this gym, I recommend looking elsewhere to ensure an enjoyable and sanitary workout environment, with a more responsive management team.

In my experience during their peak times, it's appears lots of young people like to hang out in groups ( some on their phones) taking over certain gym equipment, since there is limited equipment it seems impossible to get a through workout during peak hours ( unless you have tons of time to wait)

just hanging out on equipment and not working out.
I really do enjoy the Black card spa, my only major issue is;
On Saturday I used the hydro massage;which I enjoyed. But there was a girl in full street clothes ( winter jacket and boots) on her phone making herself completely comfortable. I did my 10 mintues continued to tanning.. When I got out of tanning the girl was napping..
Yesterday I used the red light therapy machine.. There was some random guy that was also in street clothes just hanging out.
I notified the front desk; the front desk told the guy to leave..
I'm not sure if those people
are members but it is odd to have people taking naps,hanging out in a tanning room with the door locked and not using the machine.

I don’t recommend this gym at all . The staff is very courteousless. Service is horrible . There are many instances where the toilet paper or soap is missing in the bathroom while they are standing careless either on their phone or chatting with each other. Bathrooms are so dirty and never cleaned during the day. Nobody is taking care of the broken equipments. But the worst is when you pay to deal with unprofessional and disrespectful stuff getting away with not doing much. Also It is very annoying when they start continuously ringing the bell half an hour before the gym closing time and they keep repeating the alarm making it more frequent and longer lasting until you get a headache and leave. I had a staff approach me 5minute before closing time to ask me to leave my machine when I happen to know the rules very well. I always leave on time because I don’t use the locker room and exactly at closing time I pick my bag which I always leave next to me and leave at closing time. I replied to this staff member respectfully I know the closing time and will leave at the specified time . Then she replied in a very rude manner and threatened me that if you don’t leave now I will cancel your membership. Just great example of courtesy and wonderful customer service.. and she claimed to be the manager
