Great gym with a wide variety of machines and plenty of options for different workouts. The space is clean and well-maintained, and overall I’ve had a good experience here. My only suggestion would be to increase the maximum dumbbells beyond 80 lbs for those who lift heavier, and to consider extending the weekend hours since it closes at 7:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays. Other than that, it’s a solid gym and I enjoy coming here.

Dirtiest Planet Fitness I’ve been to. Dumbbells are always all over the place, and there’s literally a homeless guy living in the men’s locker room. Management communication is 1/10 — they couldn’t solve a simple membership problem after multiple tries. Extremely unorganized. Avoid this location.

It is great that planet fitness allows teenagers to use their facilities for free for the summer to motivate them in their health and wellness. This is my son’s first summer in participating in their gym. It came to my attention that no one from the staff has not given them any attention. My son told me he didn’t get a tour of the facility, he wasn’t shown how to use the equipments. There are teens including my son who has never used these equipments before. The enterprise will be liable if any of these kids get hurt due to not caring for the safety of our teens. Our teens will not voice for themselves, so we as caring parents, we will voice our concerns

This location ran out of paper towels and had no plan on how to get a shipment in. Wiping down the machines with a disinfectant and paper towel is the best way to fight against germs. Them not having this is adding to the spread of germs and infections. This problem should be fixed immediately

I mean it’s alright, a gym is a gym. I will say it’s in the basement so if that’s not your vibe don’t go. And during the summer time it gets pretty rowdy with the highschoolers. A lot of the machines are taken by them playing around but I try to just do what I can and get out. Other times during the year is calm, It doesn’t get too bad. Staff is cool I guess, I never really speak to them. As for theft in the Locker rooms… I mean it’s Flatbush so I wouldn’t leave a MacBook or anything in there. Especially without a lock.. that’s insane. I usually use the lockers right by the front desk so I don’t have to worry too much. Overall I go to this gym daily… it’s nothing crazy but I come to workout so it would take a lot for me to be upset.

Nice and clean and staff is friendly. I been reading that personal belongings have been stolen from lockers which thank goodness I have never encountered because I dont leave my valuables in there!! Last week Saturday May 31st my purse was stolen out of my bag inside the locker room,it had all my important ids,cards and documents. I reported it to the gym attendant that said the manager was aware of the incident. They contacted the police station but because it was almost their closing time,I was dismissed and told to return the following Monday if I wanted to make a report.
I made a police report the day after. Could you believe not even a courtesy call by anyone in authority at the gym to see how things were going,or to even pull the camera around the the time I got in and out of the locker room to assist with investigating who could have stolen my purse out my bag,I was told because the locker was in the women’s restroom they may not have a footage,I mean I take full responsibility that I didn’t have a lock on the locker,but the lack of empathy was appalling! I had to check in to see if my purse was recovered. I cancelled my membership and they have the audacity to ask how was the service at the gym!

Very unprofessional staff at the front desk. They were too busy loudly talking and joking about basketball with each other to assist me properly. When I had trouble logging in, no one offered any help or even mentioned that I could use my phone number instead, they just stood there staring at me like I was a problem.

The environment was not friendly or welcoming at all, and honestly, the entire interaction felt racially uncomfortable. Definitely not the kind of service I expected as a paying member. I won’t be coming back.

I was charged a yearly fee without any announcement, which resulted in an additional $20 for a late fee because I usually don't keep money on that account and If I knew I have to pay yearly maintenance I would make sure I have enough founds to pay for it.

Following month they charged me monthly fee, but again, because I didn't have cash on card at that moment I ended up paying again additional $20 fee. I never make problems with payments and I never avoided to pay what I need to pay, but I feel punished for no reason. In 2 months, I paid an additional $40.

I called the gym and tried to explain what happened before I get charged second time. I was told I ll receive call from manager but that never happened.

I made at least three attempts to cancel my membership. I did once in person then I was told I will receive a confirmation email. I proceeded to leave Brooklyn and pt it out of my mind few months later I was still being cheated and still being charged. I called and was given the run around and could never speak to someone in charge and promised call backs which never occurred. I tried calling cooperate but again no help. I went into the local plant Fitness and was told that I could only cancel in my local gym and I had to go back when I was on a visit yo NYC then I realize they had an incorrect email address for me. In short I was charged over 900 over four years.

*They have nerve to refuse entry to members prior to September 13 date to get vaccinated for covid 19.. My memebership fees have already been taken and they sent no notification to members even though NYS state 9/13 is last day to get vaccinated. Spoke to the manager and he would not budge. I offered to wear my mask during my use and he still would not budge. I wanted to use the facility anyways and he said he would have to call police on me for trespassing even though I had a membership. I'm considering canceling my membership. I called corporate and they are closed 4pm est. Will call them again. I deserve my money back for violation of contract.

. I've been to better locations. I'm trying to understand the point of contactless check in but I still have to sign in. Anyway staff is always talking in the front and only come on the floor to change paper towels and refill spray bottle (a purple water substance to clean machines which doesn't smell like anything) when the gym is busy. I have never seen some one sanitize the bathrooms or massage chairs. Members never put weights back or clean during use of machine. Social distance is only on cardio machines but it is a small location. I go because of location. But once transit becomes safer again I will go somewhere else.

I have to say this is probably one of the worst locations if not the worst in Brooklyn and it starts from its Management Teams.

On November 17th, my locker was vandalised, the lock was broken off and my personal items ravaged. I made a report to the front desk and the young guy basically told me nothing will come of it. He did however ask that I fill out the report form with my contact info and details of what happened and that the Manager would contact me in the morning.

It is now January 13th and I am yet to be contacted. After being a member of PF Black for years it is best I cancel my membership because it clearly shows how valued I am as a customer to not even offer to replace the Lock!

The clientele also that use this location is not the best of the bunch and lack basic gym etiquette, homeless people taking showers in the bathrooms, filthy gym and nasty people who will not clean up after themselves. I will be contacting corporate. Do not go here, do not use Planet Fitness.

It’s not a bad place it can get very crowded, and due to the size it’s a little difficult to get on a machine sometimes or grab weights you want. My biggest complaint would be the water fountains there’s like no pressure behind them. There’s a total of three water fountains. One on the main floor which has terrible pressure, you have to almost put your mouth to it just to drink water. There are two on the basement floor and those are just ehh. They also lack pressure but they’re just alright. With hydration at the gym being a key factor in your workout. This would be the biggest thing I’d change.

I joined the gym on Church Ave between Bedford and Flatbush in Brooklyn, NY. I have been pleased. I am not a "gymmer" so I cannot speak for those who are or have been heavy into gyms, but this gym appears well equipped and well utilized. Since going I have found it to be easy to navigate. The staff are attentive and helpful and there has never been too many people. I LOVE the amenities available at the branch. The massage and hydro massage chairs. I am yet to get the full experience of the Total Body Enhancement experience. I am using the 30 minute rotation section for the most part. Looking forward to integrating more weights of which there is ample supply. Planet Fitness is making a "gymmer" out of me. With no intimidation... 😂

The gym itself is okay, however the people attending the gym are incredibly selfish, hogging multiple pieces of equipment doing circuit training. It’s a busy gym - use the circuit station for circuit training. A little bit of education to members wouldn’t go amiss. There are only 3 smith machines, no squat racks and no free barbells so it’s impossible to get to use the equipment you need when people hog it for an hour at a time.
