Planet Fitness is a solid gym overall — clean facilities, friendly staff, and plenty of equipment to go around. I’ve never had to wait long for a machine, and the atmosphere is welcoming for all fitness levels. The only downside for me is the limited hours on Fridays and weekends. It would be great if they extended their closing times to match the weekday hours.

Yet... it is bittersweet!!!!
His ability to run a great gym and to have treated each and every member with the utmost respect...
It truly takes an individual as such to be able to compartmentalize each and every members needs!!!
To run a gym efficiently yet to bend when needed!!
There was a man( non member) who was in his 80’s that would come and just sit to be amongst people ...
He was welcomed and never ever questioned for his presence.. ( he has since past away) ..
I believe that an ability as such is a true asset to any business forum!!!
Running ( even a corporate company) takes bending ...the greatest companies are run non astringently yet perfect at every angle!!!
It is human condition that makes a happy well run environment!!! Rules are rules yet rules with the ability to bend and cater makes for an even better environment!!!!

We go here to work out and see so many people pass away and it’s to maintain our dignity!! To live longer… I love PF and many aspects of the journey yet this boggles my mind… I’ve been a gym member since exit 8 and Troy.. well over 15 years .. relax and do not complain for in all honesty it’s a gym not a playground… We all go for a reason!! I absolutely love this gym.
I have been coming off and on for about 3 years now. Consistently the last year and all the staff members I've had conversations with are friendly and helpful with any questions.
The facility itself is kept clean and they're often times mopping or vacuuming while I'm there which is often.
The locker room is kept clean and bathrooms are always stocked.
The tanning beds are clean and always wiped down between uses.
The equipment works and if theres any issues it's always taken care of in a timely manner.
Overall I'm glad this is my home gym

Planet Fitness in Clifton Park Center, conveniently located off Northway Exit 9, is a well-run gym. The facility is consistently clean, and the equipment is in excellent condition. The locker rooms are spacious and well-maintained. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable about fitness and equipment, and always willing to help. The Black Card member lounge is a pleasant addition, and the aqua massage tables are a fantastic feature. I highly recommend making this Planet Fitness your regular gym.

Started hitting the gym getting ready for European Music Festival Season over a month ago. Since starting at CP PF I can tell you Tyina is essential to my mornings and the team on the days she works. I come in to the gym, spray bottles are filled, gym is clean. And most importantly I can confidently go to the gym instead of Stewart's because I know I can count on Tyina to keep the cooler proper. I appreciate everything Tyina and Joe did to help my progress. I am now in Rome getting ready to bounce between Tomorrowland Winter and Ultra Music Miami. Thank you both 💪💪💪

Fairly clean. Lots of cardio equipment. I noticed some broken equipment, unsure how long it has been broken for…hopefully they fix it soon as it is a popular machine (hip abduction). I wish they had spray tans available, I’ve heard of some other planet fitnesses having spray tan machines but unsure which ones. Also, wish they were open 24 hours on the weekends.

The place is clean. The equipment is up-to-date, except for the mats and the rods that are supposed to hold them. The staff are friendly and helpful. It is open almost always. I know that if I miss a group exercise class somewhere else, I can still get a good work out at Planet Fitness.

I wish there was a larger designated space for mat work, but we all make it work.

Decent, very big space but still not big enough for the volume of customers. Always smells terrible with no ventilation. Jungle like. I feel bad for the employees having to soak in that all day. I've been coming here since 2018. The staff are always friendly and helpful if you have any questions. This planet is very big and open, very clean, and recently just upgraded and has new equipment. The staff is incredibly friendly. Bathroom is always clean. It's a spacious gym. There are a lot of elliptical machines. The TVs have a range of channels and they are a good distance for watching from the cardio equipment.

First, their call center sucks! Second, no one can help you except for the general manager! Third, when you call they hang up on you and claim they are having phone issues! Unbelievable! 15 year member, miss one payment due to a fraud attempt on my card and they charge my backup, yes backup double for a late fee! Again, no one can help me except for the general manager? Longevity as a customer means NOTHING here! Customer service sucks! Oh and you can't fix the issue at another PF, you need to do it at your "home club"! Disgusted!

Planet Fitness is the first gym I’ve actually enjoyed going to. The facility is immaculate, staff is very friendly, there’s so much equipment you rarely have to wait for a machine. I appreciate the continued emphasis on cleanliness post-pandemic. The number one draw for me is the “no judgment zone” philosophy. Everyone’s just there to get fit and it feels like a community.

The night receptionist gets angry when I ask him to put down the massage chair, every time he shakes his head no. I know he also has to clean the gym. but it is part of your job to release the massage chairs on the computer. just venting and reflecting for himself.

Love the Clifton Park location because it is always clean! The staff are extremely friendly, inviting and professional. They always tell you about any promotions and always ask you if you need anything. You can tell they're doing their job without being pushy because it feels sincere. They always greet you, ask how you're doing and talk to you as if you are a friend of the club. The manager, Nicolette, sets the tone for the rest of the staff and it is obvious. I have yet to work with anyone in there that wasn't friendly and courteous. Seems like a great place to work. Again, the place is clean! Which is so important.

The showers in girls room are all need to be adjusted by a plummer. No matter how you set the dial it is scalding hot, a woman in locker room agreed with me so it us a real issue not just me. I mean scalding hot with no way to adjust the temperature!

I WAS A PLANET FITNESS MEMBER FOR OVER 5 YEARS. BEWARE OF ONE TIME USE PAYMENT WITH CLIFTON PARK PLANET FITNESS. AFTER THIS INCIDENT I CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP.

I transferred to the planet fitness in Clifton Park. I was told I was making a one time payment to my account. So I had to sign my name on the debit card reader, but before I signed I asked again, “Am I making a one time payment?” the response from the manager was yes. So I signed but I sign for that debit card to be a secondary form of payment which was not told to me. I already had a primary form of payment on that account that at the time I was not using so it had no funds in it. With that being said every month after planet fitness would charge my account with no funds and then they would charge the card I used as a one time payment with the late fee and membership payment. When I went in the gym to dispute the charges they say “oh we explained it throughly before I made the payment and I signed. I try to explain the only reason I signed was because I thought I was signing for a one time payment. It didn’t matter. I am highly disappointed. I have been a planet fitness member for over 5 years. This is unacceptable.

Whoever the front desk worker and manager are that were working 12/04/23 at 3pm must be having a really bad day because they seemed miserable and were not very welcoming. Very unfriendly! Came in to purchase a gym membership but had to use the bathroom. Asked to use the bathroom before we started the lengthy process of signing up and was declined rudely. This place is the biggest rip off! Stay away! Scammers !! They lure you by advertising with the cheap monthly fee and then charge your card with all kind of fees. My son used this gym for barely 6 weeks when he was here for summer and they charged him $196 dollars and when we questioned it they were arrogant and said it’s this fees and that fees and gave me their big mouth. They kept charging his credit card even after he cancelled the account after 6 weeks and argued that it was not cancelled. This is what they do and that’s why they need you credit card, bank account and the house deed for a $10 gym membership. Stay away from them!! Keep your bank info and credit cards far away from them. There are two other wonderful gyms right around the corner, Vent fitness and YMCA and they both are very straight forward on their billing.

Parking is very easy to find but I went in the morning and I wonder how much harder it is during the day as it’s in the mall. The staff at the front don’t always greet you or say bye when you’re leaving which makes it a little less homely. I’m used to more pleasantries at the other gym I used to go to. Doesn’t make or break the place but it helps make it more friendly.

It’s laid out with the cardio equipment all the way at the front and the lifting equipment toward the back. There are plenty of treadmills and only 4 stair steppers. One of the stair steppers (far right) is set to limit you to 28 mins + 5 min cool down…but you could just as easily start a new workout when that time runs out so it’s just kind of annoying. There are 4 smith machines and you can usually get one if you come in an hour before 8 am.

I moved here from another state. And I must admit I'm very disappointed with the planet fitness they have here in clifton park ny. It's dirty. The staff isn't friendly. They have lots of treadmills and such but they don't have a lot of weights. Especially for the legs. They have only 2 of those and you always have to stand around and wait forever to use them. Back home they had a lot of them and I never had to stand around and wait. The tanning beds are dirty. Especially the stand up ones. It's like they never clean the floor in them. And there's been a few times I've had to clean the lay down beds myself. You could see someone else's body print and dried sweat stuck on it. And there is also only 4 tanning beds. So again you get stand around and wait. Back home at that planet fitness they had 15 tanning beds. I never had to stand around and wait. And they always cleaned them. Another thing I don't care for are the hours. It's only 24hrs 4 days a week. So if you want to go and not stand around waiting you have only 4 days to do so. The other 3days are a waste of time. You spend more time standing around waiting to do anything there.

I usually like going to this gym, but today there was an older man who was soaked in his own urine using the machines and the smell was so bad I had to stop my workout and move to different area of the gym. I completely understand the “no judgment” part of PF but this I feel is not okay and something should’ve been said to him. It was so strong I’m not sure how the staff didn’t catch it. I was completely grossed out from this interaction and now considering switching locations because I don’t want to worry if I’m going to have urine on me at the end of my workout.

I was skeptical of PF coming from a private gym, but I have to say Clifton Park and Wilton branches are surprisingly very good.
The machines are in good condition, and the front desk is on it! Friendly and knowledgeable.
The bathrooms are spotless, and the facility is clean as well.
The only complaint I would have is the campers--folks who use a machine as a piece of furniture as they look through texts and emails.

Ok so a few years back I visited this location and was a little miffed over the cleanliness and condition of the equipment. I went there again recently and this location has done a 180. It was super clean, hand sanitizer at every cleaning station, decent equipment and a good spread for having enough room to move. A good balance of cardio machines as well. I’m giving props to Ava and Emily who were working that afternoon. The place was spotless!
