I am extremely upset and disappointed with my experience at this gym. On November 2nd, I was asked to leave the premises based on the false claim that I had insulted the staff — an accusation that is completely untrue.

The issue began when my water bottle fell into a hole behind the small lockers near the stairs, a hazard that exists due to the gym’s negligence in not properly sealing the area. I simply asked for assistance in retrieving my belongings.

Instead of helping, I was treated unfairly and accused of behavior that never occurred. The manager who asked me to leave was Claudia Herrera, and the staff members who falsely claimed I insulted them were Tasnuva and Nela.

This situation was handled unprofessionally and without any attempt to understand what actually happened. I expected better treatment and accountability from a facility I pay to attend.

The staff here is very professional and every single one of them works very hard, only complaint about this gym is the amount of people that hog the bench press machine, waited 45 minutes and the person I was in line waiting for was still working out ended up just going home. My workouts are 45 minutes I don’t know how people can spend 45 minutes on one machien

This has turned into what feels like a hangout spot. There’s 500 people standing around all over, it’s allowed to have over capacity almost every time you walk in. Young kids sit and take pictures and talk on the phone the whole time on a machine. The only positive remark I’ll give is that the crew is nice and they clean very often.

Al principio bien, después pésimo, me cobraron más de $60 por EL 1 año. Cuando de inicio dije q iba a estar 3 meses,. Si no pregunto no me lo dicen, además y para el colmo cuando me di de baja solo me dieron 10 días para estar de ahí ya no podía. Aún q me hayan cogido los $65 por adelantado del año,. I come to the East Elmhurst area 3-6 times a year from SC and was happy to see a new Planet Fitness pop up close to Citi Field. Everything is new and clean inside from the flooring to the walls and all the equipment. They even have the Best tanning booths where you don't even get hot at all with cool fans blowing on you. The Black member area is well done with nice glass doors. They didn't cheap out with the remodel. Also the place is way bigger than it looks from the outside going up 3 floors. This format also allows plenty of room by separating the weights from cardio by floor. The staff is also very friendly and welcoming to first time visitors. Whoever gave this place bad reviews must have been a competitor or all their friends and family

Usually, we have to wait at least 30 minutes to use the equipment. Now that all summer students have free access and are coming regularly, the wait time has increased to nearly 2 hours. It’s becoming quite difficult to complete workouts, and it feels a bit like a drama.

Unfortunately they have not followed the 18+ rule and it is overrun by teenagers who skip class and use machines incorrectly. The AC is only on the 2nd floor and gets incredibly musty after only a few people working out, and hygiene is not a thing for many of the patrons.

THEY ARE STEALING: The worst experience I’ve had in all my years as a Planet Fitness member. For the first time, I visited this location, arrived at 5:12 pm, and by 5:45 pm, my backpack had already been stolen. I realized it was gone because at that moment, there was a young man with all his equipment checking every locker because his bag had also been stolen. The worst part was that no one said anything, and they refuse to review the security cameras or do anything about it.

You cant fully blame the employees, although, some employees seem to have a nasty attitude, they get things done in accordance to planet fitness policies which makes them look like they’re purposely trying to give customer a bad time.

I’ve ALWAYS worn crocs to this gym and it’s never been an issue however today when coming in the workers there tell me I need sneakers in order to work out which I have in my locker which is why I was let in. I then realized my shoes weren’t there so I decided to still work out because I pay good money for my membership and it was light work outs. As I’m using working out tashyna or whatever her name is comes up to me nd tells me I can only do core workouts which are exercise for your stomach. So I went and grabbed another weight to do Russian twists and she asked me to leave. We went back and forth because she told me one thing and then said another. There’s cameras they can check that I always wear my crocs this is a first for me so her behavior was nasty and uncalled for. I got mad and said rude things to my friend in the phone but not directly to them because this is a free country and freedom of speech is allowed specially when it comes to idiotic employees who don’t know how to do their job. Also the hip thrust machine hasn’t been in service for a long time now and it’s upsetting because I pay out of my own money to not even be able to use the machines they offer.

The weightlifting section has a wide variety of machines and there's lots of space. It isn't as crowded as you'd imagine, and if someone is using a machine you can just ask them if you can work in with them, and most of the time they'll be fine with it. People clean the machines when they are done so it's a clean enviornment, and the price is also really good. The people at the front desk are also really nice and helpful when you need to ask them about something.

I was a member of this gym for about a year. At first, it was great I could get my workouts done without much of a problem but over time it became way too overcrowded. The main issue isn’t just how busy it gets it’s the fact that people don’t have basic gym etiquette. Dumbbells are always left all over the place never re-racked. Some of the front desk staff is attentive & helpful. Some not so much. I do see a staff member actively cleaning machines every now & then which is nice to see. You can also tell which employees excel from the rest. The cardio area isn’t too bad. But the weightlifting area upstairs is a mess, in the sense that it’s very crowded and the machines are stationed pretty close to each-other. They also don’t have more-of the most commonly used machines, like the leg press, pull-ups and so on. But my biggest issue with this gym it’s that I no longer feel I’m getting my moneys worth. It has gotten completely overcrowded to the point where you have to make a line to use a treadmill, a leg press or any-other machine. It’s upsetting because im paying money to use the equipment that isn’t available or is out of order. It’s also discouraging bc it forces me to cut my workouts or reduce them to what is “available”. You spend most your time waiting for a machine to open up instead of using it-The fact that some people aren’t mindful and hog machines also doesn’t help. I don’t think the gym should exceed its capacity.

Recientemente me matriculé y como entrenadora personal y en general quiero felicitarles por mantener un espacio excelente: limpio, bien organizado y con una buena distribución. Sin embargo, he notado algunas áreas que podrían mejorarse para optimizar la experiencia de los usuarios.

En primer lugar, aunque cuentan con una buena variedad de máquinas observé la ausencia de la máquina para trabajar pantorrillas y solo hay una de cada una en su mayoría, aparte están ocupadas por largos períodos debido a que algunos clientes no parecen considerar el tiempo de espera de los demás. A menudo los veo sentados revisando sus celulares en lugar de avanzar con sus rutinas.

También he notado la falta de personal en el área de entrenamiento para supervisar y fomentar una dinámica más armoniosa entre los usuarios. Contar con alguien que asegure el uso adecuado de las máquinas, el área de pesas libres y fomente el respeto por el tiempo de los demás contribuiría significativamente a una experiencia más agradable y eficiente para todos.

Espero que estas observaciones puedan servir para mejorar aún más la calidad del servicio.

(They refuse to approve the pics I uploaded, guess the staff here doesn't like being held accountable) if I could give 0 stars I would) So a friend of mine went in the other day and had an issue with one of the employees at the desk he made a review explaining the whole situation but he later came to realize it was removed or made private so only he could see it, in other words this gym will only show you positive reviews but none of the real issues will make it on here, Well now this gym gets two stars for removing reviews, that are real and shine light on a problem, which is not right, and if this gets removed or made private, ill have other friends review and give one star, people should know what issues this location has, and as of right now it's a poorly behaved staff member, let peoples voice be heard, not a good look already for this gym... My experience with the gym is good, 👍 but sometimes some of the people who are using the gym would group up and control the workout machines, if they just want to sit, and tell you that they are using it, when they are just sitting and not doing anything, or you can not use a machine because someone else is going to be using it in the next five minutes. I think 🤔 people should just work out and free up the machines.

Last week I went and the staff was super helpful, today I can say I felt violated. I'm a new user I barely make it out but I've been trying to do better. I made it this am but I didn't look picture ready. She asked for my id which I never had to show before at this location and then insisted that even if I had to go to the bathroom I had to take a picture. I asked can they retake it after and she said no. I told her I'm uncomfortable with that and she basically told me it didn't matter. Needless to say I was able to use the bathroom after pleading but left immediately after. I'll return I guess when I'm picture ready lol

Today I went with my husband to register my daughter at the gym. Miss ADRIANA greets people with a bad face and a rude attitude. When we arrived, we asked her how the payments would be. She had to repeat herself twice because we didn’t understand what she was saying. After that, we waited for more than 10 minutes to tell us if we wanted to register her because she was more entertained, with her colleague (I believe she is from India) almost threw the contract in the face to the client to make her understand that the contract says “they cannot transfer your membership to another person.” My first experience in this place was very unpleasant to see the attitude of those two people. If they want to attract more people to this place, unfortunately they are not going to achieve it with people like that who raise their voices in front of everyone. They have to look for people trained in customer service and who knows what they are saying.

I would give a honest review, the staff at the beginning was rude and not helpful or friendly then I think they change some of them now they kinda friendly, the gym is always packed because they take so many membership that is always full. I cancel my membership 👍🏻

Very disappointed with all the employees at this location they’re very rude i have 3 memberships my mom an brother didn’t want to come back the manager i thik she is Hindu she had a very bad attitude to me the other day she said im the main manager here im marking ur menbership so u cant fix at any location u need to cancel and open a new one just because i made a very simple mistake long story short nothing serious but she make a very big drama everyone was looking at me like if i was a criminal she wasn’t helpful she was very rude i think plnet fitnes needs ti hire mature ppl as employees i hate the look the gave me when i enter to this place my son feels very uncomfortable they look at us like if we where there begging for something the gave us a very deep aye examination is very uncomfortable entering at this location they dont know what courtesy is ! And we dont have a cheap membership also what its giving me a headache they keep charging to my card more than twice a month for the membership. It’s insane. Only the cleaning lady is very jice

No se puede entrenar en un gimnasio con demasiada gente deberia haber un limite, es imposible entrenar aqui .
ASI QUE SI ERES UNA PERSONA QUE HABITUALMENTE ENTRENA EN LA TARDE O NOCHE. NO TE RECOMIEMDO VENIR YA QUE TE COSTARA MUCHO ENCONTRAR UNA MAQUINA O UN ESPACIO PARA ENTRENAR

So I've read some of the views on here and I honestly don't know what they're talking about. I think the gym is very nice and a great place to work out. I never got any word from the managers, never had a problem with anyone there. It's always whenever I'm there, I can have a nice peaceful work out with nobody bothering me at all. ✌🏼This gym is definitely something I'd recommend to my family and I know they would love to come to this gym to work out as well. 😁
