The place is really nice people are really nice there. Very clean. As clean as it can be for a gym they could dust more. There was has hair on the floor the last few days kinda gross! The staff is very friendly and helpful since I’m new to area and new to planet fitness. It’s a very convenient place. The equipment is so nice I can do arms legs whatever with out every waiting on some one else in my way. I go during the morning time. Coworker goes in the afternoon and he likes it too. Some of the seats need repair and the men’s bathroom needs a scrubbing. I’ve been going for about two weeks now and love the gains I’ve seen and weight loss just in this short time.

I did love going here. Now that they changed the equipment, it sucks. They only have 3 ellipticals now so you have to wait. Also, the elliptical is very uncomfortable to use. I used to be able to do 30 minutes, now I can barely do 10. Ugh

And now new cardio equipment. Comfortable space for workouts with aerobic machines and a variety of weights and related equipment. Looks like a diverse crowd is welcome age fitness etc. Usually membership is on the inexpensive side. Rarely crowded. Communication with management could be better in one or two instances.

My favorite local gym. Have been a member since they opened, actually before this location when they were in Delmar. Always clean, equipment is kept up for the most part, hardly ever wait for your favorite machine. The crew always greets with a smile and "have a good day" parting message.

Update, they just added a few new free weight equipment.

You can't beat the price and the fact that they have been here a long time, even survived COVID shutdown.

Just joined and so far love the nice staff and cleanliness . Hopefully the water bed massager will be fixed soon because I love that ! One concern is that I primarily come for the 30 minute express workout which is a separate area that is basically s one minute per machine with a big traffic light to guide you. The problem is that every time I go there are people settling in and using the 30 minute machines for regular workouts much longer than a minute, making it impossible to do the circuit . There is a sign but I guess people don’t read it or don’t care . Those same machines can be found elsewhere in the gym so they don’t need to crowd out the folks wanting to do the 30 minute express. Can you take any further measures to keep this area separate ?

The Planet Fitness in Glenmont is the cleanest one I've been in thanks to Lee who works overnight. I've never been in the weekend. I go in at 4am weekdays usually. I heard it gets busy after 3:30 pm. Logan at the check in desk is another rock star.

The staff here keeps it clean, which is refreshing to see because some other gyms are filthy. Speaking of the staff, they are super friendly too. Actually, they are so friendly that sometimes I think they want to talk to me, only to realize that they are just being nice lol.

Other than that, it's a Planet Fitness so the free weights are limited (no bench press, squat rack, dealift area, etc.).

Incredible gym. The entire staff is excellent and very welcoming. I would love to see a plate loaded hip thrust machine like I’ve seen in gyms in Massachusetts. There are a lot of machines that nobody uses that could be replaced with a hip thrust machine. Too often, the smiths are occupied.

I should start out by saying the 5 star rating is after I take into consideration the fact that it's Planet Fitness. No, they don't have a bench, squat, deadlift, or military press area. Yes, their dumbells only go up to 75lbs, etc. It's well known that planet fitness isn't a heavy lifters gym. With that in mind, here are my thoughts...

It's clean, the staff is super friendly, and they don't take that "lunk" stuff seriously. I'm, in their definition, a lunk. But I can still workout comfortably, I just try not to grunt as much as usual to not draw attention to myself lol. I'll be honest, if there was a "real" gym in the area, I'd be there. But since there isn't, I'm actually quite happy with what I get at this Planet Fitness.

The week night employee (I believe his name is Lee) is the most hardworking Planet Fitness employee I have ever seen. I have been going to many different PF gyms throughout NY for the last 7 years. I genuinely enjoy coming in at night and seeing that he’s there because I know I will have a positive experience. He is so extremely kind, helpful, and attentive. I see him cleaning his ENTIRE shift. I sometimes use multiple Black Card benefits back to back, and he assures me that it’s no problem and shows absolutely no discontent with me doing so. I seriously recommend giving him a raise. I would never want to lose an employee like this.

My sister and I brought our dad here yesterday to try to encourage him to get into a fitness routine at low-no cost. I am a member at Pittsfield PF and this club is terrible by comparison. There is no onsite trainer. They don't participate in Silver Sneakers (Pittsfield advertises it right at the front desk) and the attitude of the guy working the desk was pathetic. There was no chart for the step stations in the 30 min express area. Not all of those stations had numbers or much guidance. In the main area, I felt like the machines weren't in much of an intuitive order and it was more like a scavenger hunt around the over compensation of treadmills. Poor floor plan all the way around. It felt cramped. Very unwelcoming feel and the best answer about the trainer was "try Latham". Not at all as advertised and it's a sad thing to think that Pittsfield, MA is a Taj Mahal compared to anything in the Albany area. Very clear that staffing is an issue...there was only 1 employee there so I had to give my dad the tour, not the employee. I typically see at least 3 employees in Pittsfield whenever I am there. This place is fine if you already know what you're doing but I felt like the guy was about as excited about a potential new client as if I had offered him a 3 day old peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I couldn't be more disappointed.

I love going to planet fitness and working out! Tons of equipment. I use both the regular and hydromassage chairs after my workout and then tan. I've tried to use the total body enhancement machine but can't seem to figure it out so I wind up only doing red light therapy and not the vibrations. My devices won't connect to the total body enhancement machine for music but I always have an awesome time when I'm there.

Planet fitness is a 10/10 gym but today I had an experience that left me with a bad taste in my mouth today, a "female" employee spoke to me with a bad attitude when I asked her to use the massage chair, the thing is that she was having a conversation and I didn't want to interrupt her, I go to one of the massage chairs I thought I could turn it on with the remote control and I realized that I couldn't (I’m new) and I asked her if she could turn it on and she spoke to me with a bad attitude when the massage ends, I tell her that I'm sorry if I did something to upset her and she spoke to me with a bad attitude again. PF is amazing but things like this are staining his reputation.

I’d been a member for years and enjoyed the perks of the Black Card, but they have been slowly taking away the benefits that made the membership worth the cost for me. This location got rid of the free haircuts, and just this month the Albany location also got rid of the free haircuts (although their website says they still offer them - they do not!). No other location in the Capital Region offers these now. I’ve heard from others that they also got rid of spray tanning at the Troy location, so they all must be reducing the benefits. So today I cancelled my membership and am going to another gym that offers unlimited spin and fitness classes for roughly the same price. I’d come back if they resumed the services they have gotten rid of!

I love going to this gym to exercise every day and stay in shape. It's a wonderful opportunity to get out a workout then head to work! The gym is great for workouts in the early mornings and late nights however during the late mornings and early evenings its packed with everyone pumping iron. Peoole are friendly and I've never had issues with anyone there.

I been trying to cancel my membership since October they didn’t charge me for October but started charging me every month after. Went in this past Saturday to see what was going on the guy Babcock said it did show that I canceled he doesn’t know what happen. So he canceled it for me I check my account today and the charged me again. This is crazy now my account is in the negative. I went into the club to do a cancelation because I do not feel safe in the club because of Covid. I was told everything is finalize and now is told that I have to pay a fee to cancel! I sign up for a club in a safe environment. I really do like the club but I am not risking my health. The club have charged me for my membership when covid started and now this. Completely WRONG!!!
