After using this PF for over a year, I would like to call out how amazing their staff is, especially Jamie! She is always so personable and encouraging that she helped motivate me to go to the gym regularly. I switched to an at home gym for budgetary purposes today but it’s because of Jamie and the other amazing staff members that I relented ending my membership throughout the summer. Whatever PF is paying her, I suggest they double it. Thank you for helping me stick to my work out routine, I’ll miss our morning check ins. 🙏🏼

The place is clean and machines are operable. I have only seen 1 machine which had a temporary out of order sign. Staff is always helpful and pleasant. Matter of fact staff recommends usage of other machines which offer the same results and are less strenuous My only complaint is there are always 2 staff persons at the front desk, (who are not always busy and talking) when in my opinion, one of the staff, could walk around the area and instruct people on proper usage of the equipment, if they see a person not using equipment properly.
I always have to leave the equipment and walk to the front desk, request assistance and then walk back with the staff person to the equipment. I’m a Black card member and such action would benefit all customers. I’m not asking them to be a trainer but it is PF equipment and everyone should know how to use it properly. I use the information that’s on the equipment for instructions but after scanning 2 devices, the instructions are no longer readable on my iPhone 16 Pro device, which is the most current device. I believe PF should become more proactive in assisting customers. It does not cost PF to be more observant of their customers. It might eliminate liability claims. Check with your insurance carrier.

They lack in the free weights and a turf! We would literally have to wait 10-15 minuts to use 45 plates bc there simply isnt enough Don't dare get caught here when its busy here you would feel like your closed in. There are always treadmill you can use for the most part. I personally do not feel a sense of community when coming into the gym though some of the people are relatively nice. I still don't like the idea that there is candie at the front desk. I would love to a sauna in the location and an area for protien shakes. On top of that the gym is really meant for people who are starting at the gym. Not saying you can't go here if your experienced but you'll see a lot of newer people there. For the price that you get isn't bad though if im being honest. And lastly the colors are so harsh

Tried to use a guest pass, and when it didn't work, I asked for help with the app and getting a day pass, and Muriel was very rude and dismissive and would rather get back to her conversation than help guests.
There are multiple complaints against her, but she is still employed there. Other than when Muriel is working, it is a very nice gym, but I will not be going back or ever using their business again solely because of the way she treats guests.

Tried canceling my membership back in August 2024 in Brockport. After 2 times of going there they said it was all canceled. Noticed 1 week ago, December 2024, they have been charging my card still the whole time. Called Brockport and they said Dewey was my home gym. Went to Dewey planet fitness and they told me i needed to come back in 2 days. Came back today and canceled but they told they couldn't refund the $80 they over charged me and stole from me at this point. Since planet fitness didn't cancel it correct the first time, even though in their own system it shows that I hadn't checked in at the gym since 6/24, and I get screwed in the end. Not happy with the last experience I had with this gym since being a planet fitness member for almost 10 years.

Was going here for years. Thought it was a great place, and honestly it is, the employees are great. But if you plan on gaining expect to be body shamed. I got in trouble for a shirt I was wearing there for years, basically since I started going. It was totally fine when I was 140lbs, but thanks to a healthy lifestyle and consistency I’m now up to 205 and now the shirt has become a problem.

Let’s be real it’s not the shirt it’s the fact that I used the gym properly and regularly. I was a faithful patron for years and just canceled my membership. I’m actually quite sad about that fact but I guess they want to keep non devoted folks in there rather than people who can show others that planet fitness isn’t the joke everyone makes it out be. Guess it’s time to look into some real gyms around the area. Sad to go, but it’s time

Do not go to this location!!! I have had to go to this location for the past month and I have never had more issues at a gym than this location, firstly they are not connected to the other planet fitness's, so the black card does not work as you cannot visit other locations freely, you have to pay $5. This is not disclosed, and I was told I had to change my home gym to this location.

The lady at the front desk also has something to say to me everyday. Today I was told to leave because my jacket was on the bench that I had taken off seconds prior, because “personal belongings were on the equipment”. Mind you there was 4 or more open benches next to me. I also was told I could not wear slides, I have never had an issue before wearing slides and I go 5+ times a week in slides. The gates gym is much better. And the new Greece gym also has much better staff.

Another time about a week ago I went to the front desk to tan, I stood there for 3-5 minutes while this same lady was scrolling on her phone. She came up to me made a joke about being on her phone, looked me up and then proceeded to tell me I couldn’t tan because I had been there within 24 hours… it was 23 and a half hours since I was last there. I didn’t have the option of coming back later or waiting 30 minutes. So I had to leave without once again prematurely. The attitude I have received from the one lady has given me a bad view of the whole establishment. Every other staff member is friendly, as long as she is there I will not be attending again.

I bring small back pack with specific cable machine attachment and bottle of water . Planet Fitness employe tell me to put it in the locker. I explained I can't finish my workout without my attachments. But he said no back pack inside the gym. However there was other people with a bags nobody ask them to put it in locker room. I been using World and Gold Gym in the past never have a problem. I tried Planet Fitness because it closer. But I wil never go there again. Worst gym in my experience.

Extremely cheap gym membership at only $10 a month for the basic one, they have all the basic equipment you need, employees are very friendly, locker rooms are clean, lots of cardio machines, alternative options available for beginners and the general clientele is pretty friendly.

However there are downsides for intermediate and advanced lifters. There is a lack of equipment for heavy lifting, such as only one leg press machine and all of the squat racks are Smith machines. Not many benches by the free weights, so if you are looking to do heavy presses, sometimes you are just out of luck as the benches area is taken up by a bunch of goofballs doing push-ups or something. I've had to wait for the leg press machine many times while some joker is using it for calf extensions with one plate or something.

In general the basic tools are here to get a good workout but the environment is not very conducive for serious people.

Madison is rude. Didn’t realize what time they closed on Fourth of July, walked in 15 minutes to close, usually Tan quickly, about 6-7 mins. She left me standing at the front desk for 5 mins just to then greet me rudely, I told her I wanted to tan quick, she asked how long, I said 5 mins is fine, just for her to tell me no. What a joke. If she didn’t walk by me twice and leave me standing there, maybe I could’ve used my membership today.

I've been a black card member of PF since they first opened in Rochester (Henrietta) around 15 years ago. This location is the only one I've ever been to that tries to make you sign in if you have a black card. The assistant manager chased me down and forced me to talk to the manager. Muriel the manager told me I have to sign in because I'm not a member of this club. Seriously? that's why I have the black card, so I can go to any club without issue. She then told me I can only go there 10 times a month before they'll charge me $5 per visit! She then threatened to throw me out if I didn't sign in. I've been to clubs in NY and PA and I've never been given a hard time like this. I just want to workout, not be hassled, have to fill out forms and be made to feel like I don't belong there by the staff.

I've gone to planet fitness on Dewey avenue it is always 100% clean and the staff is all friendly and helpful no matter what I did go to Irondequoit and that was very dirty and there was two stalls in the bathroom that were locked they said it's been locked for 2 months that place needs to look at, but ask for grease do we avenue yes but. And Natalie at Greece and Carly agrees and the other staff at Greece are very helpful and they're always cleaning they should be recognized for that this is the cleanest and friendliest I've been to thank you Mary Jo Bigelow

Good operating hours, the members and the staff keep it very clean, plenty of TVs to watch if you want while using cardio equipment. Some cardio equipment could use some upgrading, showers don't seem to work very well here, and parking in the evening is a little dangerous because cars whip through and it gets dark in the lot so be cautious walking in/out (speed humps would help alot). Spa equipment is a nice plus. Overall a good value for what I'm paying.

Ive been a member for the last 5 years Tell me how a black card member is forced to sign in on a paper after already signing in normal just to be called ignorant by a gym employee because you don't see a viable reason to make someone, who's a paying customer, sign in twice and the only PF in Rochester that does it. But mostly the fact that the employee who calls a customer ignorant while on the job is acceptable. I have no problem going to the 5 other gyms in the area. Would never recommend this gym to anyone. Staff doesn't care about customer satisfaction or professionalism, "this is just a part time job, go somewhere else".

Great machines, great atmosphere, quality TVs, clean bathrooms, just the full experience.
The only thing that would make it better is if it was 24 hours, I ended up setting my "home" gym to one alittle further away from me, because that one is 24 hours 4 days a week, and sometimes I can't get the free time until considerably later, but it's a minor complaint and not worth docking a star for, considering I can just go to the 24/H one when I need to. I might actually change this one to my home gym and go to that one if I have to, since I got the "PF black card" which allows me to go to any of their gym locations, which is another perk! :D

I just joined and my first day when I went I wasn't really sure what to expect and I was hoping it was a very comfortable atmosphere. When I checked in the young lady at the desk was very friendly she even insisted in showing me around and she has great customer service and knowledge of the place. I went there with my daughter. It looked small from outside, but not inside, huge! That was my daughter's first time there, although she is a member, but in Gates.
