This is one of the better gyms to go to!!! You're not harassed by "fitness advisors" (personal trainers) trying to sell you expensive workouts!! Planet Fitness, I feel comfortable to just do my workout and not feel that everyone is staring pr judging what you do!! I love the tanning and hydro-massaging beds!! The prices are extremely reasonable and there are locations everywhere!! I travel to Colorado quite often and I can bring a guest EVERYTIME i go!! The cons: No Sauna, or childcare (at least at the locations I've been at there's no sauna; none of them have childcare).
I did take 1 star away because the billing is a bit frustrating!! I have had problems 3 times now that they have increased my monthly payment because the billing department says that there were no funds available, when I have well over the monthly dues owed ready and available!! If I wanted to pay $45.95 per month I would just go to a gym with a daycare!! Its quite frustrating!!

NO Joke ! This place is the real deal ! As an ex-powerlifter in my 70's I need a place to do a lot of different exercises. This gym has everything I need and more, The equipment is well maintained and fully functional. I used to make jokes about Planet Fitness, but no more !!!!

This used to be a nice little gym until they remodeled. Now hard to get on treadmills and equipment, left many times not being able to workout! such a shame! Most likely will be exploring other options!

Was a totally fine gym, fine as in the bare basic but what more can you expect from PF? Ever since they started the "Free for Teens" program I have heavily considered canceling my membership. PF - your local teenage daycare. Absolutely love being oggled by groups of gooner teenagers who come in to do nothing but stand around and watch other people exercise. And when they do actually use the equipment, they do so improperly at the risk of their injury and the equipments life.

TO THE OWNER: Teens do deserve a place to work on their mental health and fitness - not at the expense of your PAYING customers. Can't wait to see the place dead as a door nail again come September.

Front desk staff is great and attentive, they always keep an eye out for when I need something and are friendly and polite and always say hello and have a nice day. This fitness facility provides an extensive range of equipment and a relatively low level of congestion. Although the evenings tend to experience a slight increase in foot traffic compared to usual hours, the hydrospa offers an exceptional massage experience. One recommendation would be to provide toilet seat covers.

After reviewing my credit card statements I realized that I have been overcharged for the past several months. This is completely unacceptable. I went to the gym today and spoke with the worker and they were completely unhelpful. They claimed that the extra fee was due to “late fees”. A complete lie. They have my card on file and it is an automated payment each month. And if there was an issue with my card, why wasn’t I notified??? This is stealing. Do not join this gym.

Update: my wife spoke to the gym manager. He proceeded to tell her that they tired to call her once but her phone was disconnected. Comical. She has had the same number for over 20 years and it has never been disconnected. They said they would not refund us any $. Completely ridiculous

I travel a lot for work so I'm am fortunate to get to experience all sorts of Planet Fitness's, and I honestly have to say the Hamburg location is in my top 3 of all time! The place is super clean, the staff are so friendly and helpful and the app really represents how busy this location is (some of the "Crowd O Meters" are way off) None the less this place is solid.... My only request a decline bench, man every location should have these!

This Planet fitness isn’t as big as some of the others I’ve been to but it’s just as good. It’s mostly quiet here and even during busy times it’s never overly crowded. I had to cancel my membership today when I walked into the mens locker room and there was a woman in there- they claim its a non judgment zone but that started because of fat shaming not this lunacy - its funny how they can make all the men and women in the locker room feel uneasy but heaven for bid we ever make the crazy people feel awkward - I'm a married man and its not right I should have to shower in front of another woman who is clearly confused

Hamberg New York location . front desk people are always on their phone, cleaning products are empty. The 30 minute work out room is not attended to, people don’t follow the rules with the red light green light system. And the employees don’t do anything about it. Also, signed up for the black membership and I didn’t even get a tour. I’m still trying to figure out how things work.

We hadn't been here since the December before the pandemic. I was quite thrilled to see that nothing had changed -- everything was clean and in excellent working order. I love the row of TVs to watch, if you choose, though I'm always fairly surprised that they don't have the local NBC channel. And I'm apparently not the only one who loves to work out while watching the Food network!! Great place. Come during a Bills game and you have the place to yourself!

The club is clean and the people at the front desk are friendly. However the cardio equipment has less functionality than other Planet Fitness locations I’ve visited.

The other locations have allowed you to set target heart rate workouts, but the machines here don’t have that functionality which I find rather surprising. I would have figured that every location would have the same equipment.

One machine that I was on malfunctioned and two others that I got on weren't marked as broken/off. Unfortunately after doing an hour of cardio, I went to the drinking fountain to get a drink and the water was lukewarm. I know these are relatively minor things but when you really need the cold and get sprayed with heat it bumps off 2 starts off of a review.

This is by far the best PF location in WNY…probably the entire state! I’ve also been to locations in Nevada, Arizona, and Pennsylvania, but Hamburg beats them all! This place is every bit as spotless as the day they opened, which is one of the main reasons I enjoy coming through their doors for my workouts. The staff just manages to keep this place impeccable almost without you even knowing they’re around. They always have smiles to greet you coming and going, as well as when performing maintenance. I’ve only ever had to wait briefly for equipment when it’s busy (late afternoon/early evening), otherwise I can get in and be done without delays. The equipment is ample (two sets of all free weights 5 - 75 lbs.), sturdy, and always well-maintained. The cardio (including treadmills, ellipticals, stair-climbers, rowers and more) get frequent use and yet look and function like new. The locker room and lockers are spacious, and lavatory & shower areas are inviting and spotless. On top of all this, the clientele is among the nicest to share space with. People here don’t monopolize the cable machines when others are waiting, and they re-rack their weights when finished. Everyone asks politely if you’re using an item that may be in question. I’ve had others voluntarily offer to help me move heavier equipment when needed. And, last but not least, there is a general sense of camaraderie once you come through the doors. Aside from the restrictions imposed by recent pandemic protocols, the hours of operation make this a very convenient fit for anyone’s lifestyle. Do yourself a favor, and get back into the swing of things this spring with a PF membership…something your future self will thank you for!!! Really not happy with my experience at this gym. I signed my daughter up here for the black card and they wouldn't let her use the tanning because of her age. When she signed her up they knew her age. She didn't know how to use the machines and no one would help. She tried multiple times to talk with a trainer who kept saying he would email her a plan and never did. It is a clean gym with a lot of gadgets but absolutely zero personal attention. We cancelled and moved to Southtowns and she is much happier.

This is my home gym, it is clean, the staff are friendly, but the reason for 2 stars is the hours they are open. The franchisee of this location as well as all the locations in WNY is a private equity firm that operates all of there locations the same hours, regardless of locations.

I travel alot and when I see that the PF in Beckley WV or the PF in Erie PA are open 24/7 yet locations in WNY close at 7 it's kind of disappointing that WNY has to be served by a franchisee that is a penny pincher.

I hope this franchisee changes its policy and hours, otherwise I may change my home club to a location that is not owned by this franchisee and just use their locations as a guest.
