Had a few training sessions with their trainer Christian. He was awesome. I couldn't walk for days with the excellent leg workout. He asks you what you are looking to accomplish and then sets your goals. Definitely worth your time to check him out at the lake ronkonkoma location.

Just want to give a shout out to trainer Christian at Planet Fitness in Ronkonkoma. I’ve been working out with him since July and I never felt or look better. He keeps him motivated and since I’ve been working with him, I want to be at the gym all the time. I work out with two other people, Ron and Patty and we have a great time together. We push each other and we also have a lot of laughs. Christian is a great motivator and I just want to thank him for making me feel so much better about myself.

This has been going on for a long time and it has made the whole property feel run down. People are living in trailers and loitering in the parking lot between Regal and Planet Fitness. They throw trash around, leave messes, and even urinate on the property.

It is not just unpleasant. It makes the area look unsafe, drives away customers, and gives both businesses a bad reputation. People do not want to come to the gym or the movies when the parking lot looks like a campground and smells like a bathroom.

The property manager needs to step up and fix this problem or be replaced. They used to have security here and clearly that is needed again. Until this is addressed, the entire area feels messy, unsafe, and neglected.

A fairly large gym, it is clean, and the staff are very friendly. It's got a decent split of cardio and weight equipment, with sections designated for different workouts. It also has an 'express' section for those who will only be present for a short time. The machines are generally in good condition, and whenever their is one out of service it typically gets fixed within a day or two. Never had issues here, so not a bad pick, especially given their 24hr schedule on weekdays.

I love my gym. The only complaint I have is there are only 4 stairclimber machines. And usually they don’t all work. There are more than enough treadmills and way too many elliptical that I hardly ever see being used. So maybe management can recommend replacing some elliptical la for a couple more stairclimbers.

Good place to workout, but don’t expect anyone to greet you at the door. No one says hi or bye, they just talk amongst themselves and ignore you while you scan yourself in. Not that I’m the king or anything, but it would be nice to be greeted rather than being looked through. it makes me understand why the paper towels are empty a lot of the time, the workers talk more than they work especially for how busy it gets. And how people slam their weights here and none of the workers care when it’s done excessively either. They just let it happen because they’re kids, that’s my two cents.

I come to this gym daily, I have been having lots of trouble sleeping for years now, recently I sttarted trying to use the massssge chairs to try and wind down and relax..Chris who works overnights is amazing !! very friendly and outgoing. He makes sure you leave feeling relaxed !
tmThe gym during the day tends to get busier around 230pm to 630pm. It seems like many of young kids who get out of high school come in and I've had two instances where I was trying to work out and kids were basically playing on the machines next to me, setting the weights to the heaviest setting and letting the weights pick them up off the chair. letting the weights clank hard purposely, joking and fooling around annoyingly. Doing stupid nonsense. luckily I am able to come a little earlier and now come earlier to avoid all of the immature young adults.
the women's locker rooms are spacious and there are many lockers for your belongings. sometimes there is an odd foul odor that can come from the bathroom in the ladies locker room but when I go in the morning it usuallysmells like it's just been cleaned with fabuloso and it looks clean.
so far I've enjoyed this gym, centereach and Bayshore..
every employee I've interacted with here have all been helpful and kind. You don't feel rushed or judged with any of them. I have now been introduced to Chris who works overnight at the front desk and my first impression( I adore him.) He empathizes with you and just wants to help you feel better!
there is s young man who works in the daytime when I go to do my workouts who is also very helpful I must edit to add his name once I find out.
sometimes it can be busy so check the crowd meter, the busiest time I've found were the time stated above for me. I've had to wait for machines the most during those time frames.
Overall I enjoy coming here it's convieniently close by to my home and I never feel like it's all eyes on me when I walk through their doors. I always see people wiping their machines once finished and I always do the same, it's nice to see people keeping up on cleaning after themselves. gives you an extra sense of safety. The location is amazing, it's right nearby gas stations major supermarkets and pharmacies. so happy I decided to get back in the gym, planet fitness is a much more affordable option and it hasn't dissapointed yet !

I've been coming to Planet Fitness since March of 2017 and this one in Ronkonkoma since January 2020.I got my wife a Black Card in March,but the next day everything was shut down for the Pandemic. Sigh.We were able to go back later in the year. Anyways,I really enjoy coming here to get some exercise. The equipment, floors and locker rooms are cleaned regularly and the staff are all so friendly and helpful. All types of people workout here without fear of judgment. A very bad place with shady business practices.Teachers Federal Bank said they have a lot of clients with problems with Planet Unfitness.They charged me late fees on a account that always has enough money in it.I killed the account and they won't let me out until I pay the bogus late fees which are still accruing.
When we get to court my bank records and a statement from my bank will set me free.

This place is horribly run. Got robbed here, my locker lock was cut and my wallet stolen and people behind desk were useless and irresponsible, manager was useless as well. Had excuses about not having camera access as I requested that cameras be looked at…and then come to find out ten minutes before another persons locker was cut as well, and they did nothing to warn other people. They did not care about anything, would not call manager cause she was off the clock as is what the assistant manager claimed. Annoying and frustrating

Just had the best experience I've ever had at any Planet Fitness I've been to and I tell you, it came during the most difficult 9 months of my life. Jonathan, thank you, brother. He was not only extremely helpful but also kind and compassionate. He helped me with an array of issues. Let me pause and recognize, who honestly has multiple issues at Planet Fitness? This guy right here, Keith Daniel Lamb. I have been homeless for nearly 9 months. The general manager, Veronica could not even solve this issue. Changing my phone number in the system. I literally gave Veronica HER business card with my phone number change and my lawyers info on it (she tried to kick me out a few days ago as a result of my service animal (see profile photo and she embarrassed me all the while) and charging my phone at the same time. I usually only utilize Planet fitness for the showers (remember, homeless) but let me tell you what happened TODAY. JONATHAN IS THE MAN. Like I said, changed my number in the system in a matter of seconds, and educated me on the FULL BODY ENHANCEMENT service as well as linking me up with the massage chairs and little does he know, about to hook me up with the tanning booth (yes, I am a Black Card member, relax). Give this man a promotion.
I vote JONATHAN FOR GENERAL MANAGER. If he wants he can also work for me at All American Stitch and Print. Thanks again, brother. You deserve all the accolades and then some.

Joined then I was transferred, never used the club, and was told I would have to pay a termination fee of $58.00 . The member behind the counter also made it clear that should I not pay, it would go to collections until I did pay. The gym I joined (and came to regret) was located in Ronkonkoma Long Island. I don't recommend that location or plant fitness. There are other more professionaly run gyms I strongly suggest you seek them out for a more physically and mentally healthy experience. Good luck. I gave one star because I couldn't give. The response is laughable. They respond only to the issue of the refund while ignoring the issue with the poorly trained staff I've owned my own business for over 30 years and one thing I can recognize is when a business is more concerned with side stepping instead of dealing with the issues at hand. This gym is so dirty. This deodorant residue has been sitting on this bench for over a week. There is always at least 3 staff just standing around talking at the front desk. I brought it to staff attention 2 separate days, I was laughed at and made excuses for why it was still dirty. Never actually cleaned it though. This was all after I had a woman on the treadmill sticking her middle fingers up at me while I’m on the smith machine in the mirror. I have to deal with people just standing around watching me workout. If you want to be watched and made to feel uncomfortable for working out this is the place for you. If you actually want to workout don’t go here.
