It’s incredibly unfortunate but the gym is dirty outdated equipment is cluttered all over the gym. Equipment is broken and never fixed. The flooring by the cables is buckling and dangerous. If you’re a black card member you can go to Bethpage and see a nice gym that is clean and has working equipment. When you bring broken equipment or dangerous equipment to management’s attention they basically ignore you. It’s a shame to live so close and have to drive to another gym because it’s filthy. I think the members deserve better

Oh my God where do I start so I figured I’d give this place a shot it’s closer to my house and it’s about $200 cheaper a year than what I’m paying where I’m at so I go to do the online membership which is one dollar down and $30 a month But when I go to set up, my account is trying to charge me more money so I call to figure out what the issue is. I speak to the assistant manager who happens to be very informative and nice, but didn’t know what the problem was. He asked me if I can come down? I said I can’t come down till later then told me he will not be around but he’ll give me a day pass. Let me use the massage Bed , He he said he was leaving a note for the night staff so there is no confusion and that Thursday I could talk to the manager Matt to clarify things well I get here. There’s one person working behind the counter. He has his headphones in doesn’t greet me. You have to try to get his attention once I do. I explained the situation to him and he looks at me like a deer and headlights doesn’t even attempt to check the computer or the counter or anywhere for a note by the assistant manager oh by the way he doesn’t even know who his assistant manager is this interaction alone was enough for me to say I am staying where I’m at gym wise. I don’t understand how companies hire incompetent people. I’m not trying to be mean, but is it a simplistic position that shouldn’t be too difficult for the average person to handle and this was an older gentleman, which is even scarier. I love Planet Fitness on Hempstead turnpike in Levittown. I am getting fit and Strong by myself for $15 a month without an expensive personal trainer.
However I do not like the music that they play. To work out I like catchy upbeat songs that you can sing and dance to that make you want to go faster on the treadmill. It would be a huge improvement to change the music. Better music choice would give it a 5 star.

Today I waited 32 minutes to use a machine at the Levittown location. The free memberships they give to high school students are a slap in the face to every paying member. I’ve worked out in gyms all across the world for almost 30 years now. I can say unequivocally that Planet Fitness is the worst.

The kids! The summer fitness program where kids are free is a poorly thought idea. They hog machines, don't employ proper gym etiquette, and are loud. Paying members should have reduced rates (annual included) if this is the trend.

The gym itself has a lot of staff that aren't that friendly and will clean a hanging exit sign in an obscure place rather than ensure that the spray bottles work and the tissues are refilled.

Maybe a hip bridge machine is needed to offset the Smith machines

This is the worst Planet Fitness location around. Always dirty outside. Equipment is frequently broken. I used to go at night after work- sometimes it would be like a frat party downstairs, other times homeless people would be camped out sleeping in massage chairs or on equipment. The staff that used to work overnight was great when I would come in at 3 AM but they are long gone. Parking is a joke in the day hours and early evening. In the summer when they give kids free memberships it is like a day camp with them hogging equipment, being rude and vaping. My boyfriend and I both voiced our displeasure to the location management and I also contacted the corporate office. My boyfriend was contacted ( I was not) and informed that the free teen membership was going to be discontinued. That summer they still did it. My boyfriend canceled membership, but I still hung on until i was screamed at in the women's locker room by a homeless woman who then threatened me. You cannot make this stuff up. The $10 a month fee is not worth this.

No issue with staffing, but there are a lot of thieves. I had my car key stolen from my jacket which was placed in the locker and they used the key to unlock the car and stole my wallet. After they left the keys inside the car, which shows they have professional thieves. Managment should do some thing about it, maybe add more security cameras, To be honest I am not comfortable going back to this gym.

While I'm a Hicksville Black Card Member, I find sometimes the equipment at Levittown works better. Hicksville is 'brighter' from the big Window, but they can get crowded (or at least the parking lot can) at certain times of day, so the Levittown gym is a nice option where there is plenty of parking (if you're willing to walk a little to get indoors).

Be careful about leaving your belongings in the lockers there; thieves are common. If possible, use a large lock, as small ones are easily broken. Also, never carry money in your bags. I had two dollars stolen from me, which shows how desperate they are.

Bad experience, bathrooms are filthy, toilets full of paper, sinks splashed with water all around...0 maintenence. No paper towels near sink to wipe the splashed water from teens drinking out of the faucet. Planet Fitness is worth 10 Billion dollars. hire a maid or a matron for the bathrooms. This is the result of allowing free memberships incentivizing high school kids to join, and not having bathroom attendents or cameras at least at the sinks. High School gym bathrooms are cleaner than this after a football game, its bizarre.

This location is located next to tri County Market. The parking and entrance are in the rear. This is the 1st club I've been to that has two floors. It's both spacious and clean. Staff is very nice and they have nice amenities that I normally don't see like a black card relaxation area. It would be better if there were lockers and bathrooms on both levels but it is what it is. Equipment is the newer style and overall it was a wonderful experience.

The club is clean. I often see staff members with vacuum or mop or duster going through the areas and tidying up. They are also friendly and welcoming. The cleaning stations are usually fully stocked with toweling and solution. Some of the ratcheting mechanisms to feed out the paper toweling appear to be losing their teeth, with multiple presses of the actuator required to feed out enough toweling. Also, some of the tethers for the pins to select weight plates on the purple machines are broken, and I have experienced twice a machine with no pin to set the weight amount. For some reason, it has been the ‘rear’ leg extension machine each time. I have also noticed that several machines make a grating or shuttering noise when lowering the weight stack back onto the plates not being lifted. The calf extension, ‘front’ shoulder press, and ‘rear’ leg extension machines are the ones that come to mind. Still really enjoy my experience whenever I visit the club, though!

Gym was great. Staff greeted me upon entry. Clean facility equipment, showers, and locker. Only downside is when I exited I had 2 $175 tickets on my bobtail truck door (no trailer, semi truck). It appears no commercial parking and since vehicle is 23 feet long I took up two slots so they hit me for that too. No signs saying no commercial parking only no overnight. City of Hempstead has no point of contact besides mail. As an over the road truck driver I cannot return to dispute due to travel cost and time lost. I love Planet Fitness for the 24 hour gyms, ample plaza parking and as a truck driver the showers. Just sucks this visit costed me $300. I now call ahead to make sure its permitted and have not been turnes down yet. TRUCK DRIVERS BEWARE!!! This plaza is regulated as a city street!

Been going to different gyms for more than 20 years and I can honestly say this is the worst gym I've ever experienced.

All the weights are in a dark, poorly ventilated basement. Some more lights wouldn't hurt.

The Smith Machines are in the far back of the gym, near the cardio equipment. They should be with the actual weights.

The gym does nothing about the packs of teens who act like they are at the park, chasing each other like kids, screaming and yelling. None of these kids actually work out. They all sit around on their phones hogging the machines, laughing and giggling at each other like babies. Zero gym etiquette.

Only out of desperation do I visit this gym, there are many other Planet Fitness locations nearby that are way better.

I’m from Levittown but Planet really needs to upgrade their square footage. Most of the gym is in a poorly ventilated basement which often has a foul odor. There is no decent area for calisthenic exercises. Most importantly, no pull-up bars!? Only assisted machine. I’d love to be able to come here and enjoy it as much as any other location as it’s so close to home but until they either reorganize their setup or upgrade their square footage on the ground level I avoid this location in favor of Hicksville or Merrick. Please Planet Fitness I love you guys but look into upgrading your facility. The space you have is not designed for a gym of your nature.

Out of all the planet fitnesses in this area of the island, they have a good layout and the best part is they have more and better machines than the other planet fitnesses in the area. Please PF do not swap out your machines for these new terrible ones that are yet worse ones like the new arm curl machine that the other Pfs have, so uncomfortable and terrible. Carle place used to have good machines like this location has and now they’re just going downhill with equipment they currently have since they swapped all the good ones out and even took away ones
That they didn’t replace with the same style ! I’m happy to purposely drive out to this gym when I work on the island from CT various days every week because of the machinery you still have that’s great and it’s not even busy and it’s almost 5:30pm!

Love waking up early on a Saturday dragging myself to the gym, and the gym I pay for doesn’t open at 7am as they advertised, such a joke.

One employee smoking weed right outside the front door, another vaping behind the front counter, not even eye contact when you swipe in let alone a greeting, large groups of children playing and screaming downstairs while sitting on machines for an hour playing on their phones, absolutely no gym respect, kids with no shirts on wearing crocs if they are wearing any shoes at all, basically a day care. Anyone actually trying to get a work out in is Everyman for themself taking what ever is available or not broken. No respect from workers and no respect from most of the children that comprise the membership, weight everywhere never racked. Worst gym iv ever seen in more ways then one.

Female worker literally came inches away from me with a mop and a mop bucket full of soapy water, gets the water all over the entire machine, inches away from mine, and starts mopping the machine right next to me while I'm running on the elliptical. I don't care what standards or rules you guys apply at this gym, this is the most disrespectful act I've ever seen in years, this kind of experience has happened to me once in my life at a restaurant and I never went back. For the price this gym is well kept. Being able to bring a guest each time is worth the membership. I have seen a few machines out of service but were fixed in a reasonable amount of time. pretty good area, especially for the price of only $10/month. all the cardio equipment seems quite up to date with modern day standards. downstairs though where all the weights are seem a little used up. some of the numbers on the weights are either torn off or broken while the grips on a few of them as well are torn and broken, or fixed with tape which sticks to your hands. bottled water and gatorade is a dollar, which is an excellent price, while energy drinks and such are 2 dollars, which again, is a very good price. only thing is that nobody uses the 30 minute workout area, and there isn't very much equipment there. whenever it gets packed you'll have a tough time doing what you want. still though, i love coming to this place. the staff are very friendly and quite helpful and everything is every clean. the 30 minute area should be transformed into like an area where medicine balls and ropes can be set up and as well maybe a few tires to flip around. this place is amazing and i will continue to come to this place!
