The planetfitness on Dolson Ave is the Best! I've been looking for red lite therapy & they have it ! In addition machines like cryogenic & manage table I control. I couldn't believe it !

The machine selection is good. The showers are small and the shelves are small. If you want to take a shower and avoid getting your hair wet, bring a cap! The shower is too small to avoid water on thr head and face :(

Update(3/2025): Worst PF site since the new remodel took place. The fans dont work on the ellipticals, only 2 toilets in the men's bathrooms, and the front desk boy lied to me after I asked if PF has the cybex elliptical equipment over the phone. The front desk staff are clueless about any equipment on the gym floor.

I cancelled my membership in person before they did the rework of the gym last year, and for some reason they never actually cancelled it. Now, i have an overcharged account for a whole year and i havent been there since Feb-Mar last year. They are still charging me, and there support page doesn't exist.

I have belonged to planet fitness for over 10 years from ny to FL depending on work schedule. Because of my job and husbands job I informed I cannot have a fiscal picture taken but happy to show id. Never had a problem. Today assignment was going to the gym Simone the assistant manager refused to let me in after I scanned my phone. I informed her of the situation and she said that is policy. I asked where is written she said it's just a policy. I informed it's been like this for years..again due to security. She did not want to hear it. It's policy. I said then please cancel my membership and refund my membership since you refused to allow me to work out. She said she will have the manager Michael Grammas get back to me.

Planet Fitness is my go to gym they are located everywhere and I have a black card so i definitely feel like VIP.. The staff is incredibly welcoming and always ready to help with anything I need. The facility is consistently clean, from the workout areas to the locker rooms, and I’ve never gotten sick while attending this gym—a huge plus.
The fitness equipment is always in good working order, and the atmosphere is great. The other gym-goers are friendly, and the staff goes above and beyond to create a positive experience. Highly recommend this location for anyone looking for a clean, well-maintained, and welcoming gym!

I'm a Black Card member and decided to go to The Middletown PF. I found it to be very clean, pleasant staff and all the equipment to be working. One of the things that impressed me was that all the attachment clips were on all the cable stations. Looks like it had a locking clip so the clip can't be removed, my home gym are always missing a few them , which makes the machine unusable. I have mentioned it to the desk at my home PF, but it still happens. I liked THIS gym so much that'll be going back again. I highly recommend this gym.

The staff here are very nice, but I miss the old layout. The 30 minute section is very small and the grips of the machines are awkward and uncomfortable. They are like cheaper versions of what they used to have. The cardio machines used to be on the far ends of the gym, and now they are front and center so that everyone that is working out or who walks in can see you huffing and puffing and sweating. It used to feel a little more private. You also used to be able to select on your individual TV what you wanted to watch. My friend and I used to have a routine of watching our favorite shows and getting our cardio in at the same time. Now, we can only watch what corporate decides by looking awkwardly up at the ceiling to the TVs they have hanging. They also renovated the gym but barely put up any mirrors so you can't see yourself or be motivated by your progress or your pump. The few mirrors they have get so crowded as everyone wants to work out in front of them. It's terrible, and all the "regulars" I used to see daily have left and gone to other gyms. Hope they make some much needed changes.

Discriminated against for not using a bank account. They say for quality assurance to keep the payments coming if card is stolen (lol) they only allow transfers.
I want to pay for the 1 year all up front cash or credit. You can't get any more uninterrupted payment than all up front, one and done payment!
So now disabled people with no bank account can't go there and get healthier, no exceptions because they don't allow any other type of payments.
Not taking cash is Anti-American and should be Discrimination under law but its not. The lefty companies/states have terrible policies!

Recently renovated, but most people I've spoken to miss the old layout. I prefer the old layout but I'm getting used to the new one. The circuit area is much smaller which is the main thing I've heard others complain about and I happen to agree. The gym is clean and the temperature control with the huge fans blowing is great. The staff is very nice and accommodating. This place could've been 5 stars but in my opinion they just missed the mark a little with the new layout and machines. But it is well worth the monthly price of entry.

i used to be a member here. i cancelled during the pandemic and switched to another gym after, per my daughter's recommendation. i went to PF mdtn because a friend told me they remodeled. i was really excited because my gym doesn't have some of the equipment PF has, equipment i really missed. i stopped by on a day pass and really enjoyed the equipment here, all but the elliptical which feels strange to me, but i was still willing to switch even with my disappointment in how much they cut down the 30 minute workout room. i was told my day pass was valid for 24 hours, until 4p the next day. when i returned the next morning, i was told i had to produce a pass, which i never received. after arguing with the front desk for a few minutes, they finally found my pass and let me in. it was MUCH busier than my visit the day before and i felt like i was being watched; it's much more cramped when it's busy, very cramped. and it's very bright as well, i felt like there was a spotlight on me the whole time.
all in all, their ellipticals aren't great, but their weight machines are stellar! i would have switched just for the those machines had I not felt so cramped (and watched) during peak hours

I have been a loyal member of Planet Fitness for years, and I have always appreciated the variety and quality of the equipment available. However, I am extremely disappointed that the Arc Trainer has been removed. The Arc Trainer offers unparalleled calorie-burning potential and a unique range of motion that no other machine can replicate. It's an essential part of my workout routine, and since its removal, I haven't been able to find an adequate substitute.

Please bring back the Arc Trainer! It's a critical piece of equipment for many members, including myself.

It was clean and all the machine were available to use right away. Unlike, other gyms always have signs that say, “temporary Out service”. The workers are not so greeting and look like they’re bored, however if you need help they will help you out really fast. Compare to the Bronx area where I am from. So I give this gym a full 5 star rating…. Go get your workout now!!!!!!!

Very racist customer service; after I had an excellent day at the gym with my daughters; a customer service rep called me in front of everyone and told my daughter that she was passed do on her account; I got upset because there have to be privacy; your customer service rep is very rude and untrained, and not only that, I received a call this Monday from Mike;I never had a problem and God knows that I'm a family man who goes and workouts and has never had a problem with nobody, Mike left me a voicemail informing me that my membership has been suspended; the manager's assistant is the one who should have been fired; for mistreating a customer and humiliating me in front of my daughter and violating customer's privacy.

The gym is very clean, staff is very friendly. I never have a problem getting a machine that I need. The only issue I've ever had after the many years I've been going here is the TV's. But I believe they've been fixed more recently because there used to be a time you couldn't use the TV's They didn't seem to be fixing them at all, but now I believe that has been resolved. That was my only issue because I like to watch while I'm on the treadmill, It keeps me distracted.
