This location has stepped up their game with continued improvements. Ive been a member for three years and have seen improvements with additional equipment and interior upgrades. Staff is welcoming and helpful. I workout at other gyms and from an equipment perspective they are better than most for condition and variety. I do not use the shower facilities so i cannot speak to that. Good value as well.

PF has really stepped up their game. Since my last post, I’ve noticed a considerable improvement in how this branch is run. There are more areas for different types of workouts, machines are maintained better, and the whole place feels cleaner. I think LA fitness opening in town may have been a reason to compete more for customers. Whatever the reason, it worked. Huge improvement. Keep it up!

I have been to several planet fitness and this one by far has been the worse one. This planet fitness gym has no shower working. There are two showers out of order. Also on top of that there is no hot water running. Absolutely no water pressure at all. It was horrible for me to wash up and get ready to leave to work. someone told me this issue has been going on for several months Absolutely horrible and unacceptable do better. This place really deserves to be closed very soon. How people are going to be working out getting all sweaty and not be able to shower. You playing with people hard earned money to give in return a bad service shame on you planet fitness.

Am I correct in saying "high school kids" get in for free? Is that year-round or just during the summer? Regardless, they are simple let loose in the gym. They are neither chaperoned nor educated on how to use the machinery properly. This results in the repeated destruction of equipment.

PF New Roc is conveniently located & spacious enough to accommodate PF members . I stopped attending during global pandemic then rejoined in 2023. I'm glad to be back! Love the massage chairs after workout or a stressful day . "DO IT!" I like the new massage chairs! ☺️

Limited equipment/small gym but the 24 hour access was what caught my eye, a few months after i signed up the 24 hour service was abruptly terminated. This got me so upset i decided to cancel my membership but during my daily jog today i decided to give this location another chance. I explained my situation to Hector and requested a free day pass to see if i’d want to consider signing up again (which i more than likely would have). I was told by Hector he cant do nothing about a cancelled membership & a guest pass is $20 lol, i find this funny because i stopped by the Gunhill location in the Bronx where i’ve never been a member prior & they welcomed me with open arms as well as gave me a free day guest pass !

Large gym has plenty of room. Only drawback is the parking in the area. You have to pay 24/6 only sundays are free. Though I think the city of New Rochelle may have changed that now to being free after 7pm. (There's no way to confirm and I believe the parking pay app doesn't let you pay after 7pm now) if that is the case I just wished that the city would have updated the signs. Nonetheless gym and staff are great.

New Rochelle planet fitness has a great atmosphere which is key to great workout. I am glad they are finally upgrading machine and getting new ones . More free weight would be great . I have been going to planet fitness since Bally’s gym closed so you can see the length of time. Few points: gym goers should re- rack weight , get off cell phones while sitting on machines and wipe it down . Besides that New Rochelle Planet Fitness is a great , convenient gym .

I am new to the neighborhood, I been to other planet fitness, this one the first this I noticed it was hot ,as there was no air conditioning On on full summer out side. Also not enough standing sanitize station.
The female Lockers/ bathroom are huge and it very clean.

Planet Fitness is finding new ways to disappoint me, first off the free weight Dumbbells are always out of place or either missing from their designated places like nobody cares about order and organization anymore, often the bathroom toilets are left stains underneath in the Men's Locker room, why do I keep seeing repeating acts of theft in the Locker room and the same offenders are allowed to come in again and act on their criminal impulses! I'm truly disgusted with some of the client's behavior and angst towards each other like what's up with the hostile attitudes. Also People pick up your weights! An infant can put their toys away why can't you.

This gym was cleaner than your average planet fitness but it still lacked the equipment needed to have a successful workout. They have the space and potential to transform into a real gym, and after several suggestions to managers over the past few years they continue to only cater to beginners and the energy upon walking in is lower than a nursing facility. The members sat in the squat racks for 40 plus minutes doing sets of scrolling on their phones.

***UPDATE - little to no air conditioning in extreme heat, dumbbells continue to be missing / scattered all over the facility, immature / ineffectual staff who reply that they can't do anything for any issue brought to them, broken machines not fixed for weeks and still in disrepair, continued theme of rude, disrespectful clientele hogging machines while scrolling social media...one of the worst gyms ever***NO RESPECT, NO SELF-AWARENESS - The staff are pleasant and always willing to help where they can, but the members here treat the equipment as if they own it, or worse. This especially holds true for the four Smith machines. Just this past Saturday, one woman remained on a machine for over an hour, mostly playing on her phone and not even acknowledging anyone around her. These are some, if not the most sought after machines in the gym and there are always people waiting for them. I wish it weren't so, but something like this happens every single visit. In addition, people also take weights, dumbbells and kettlebells and leave them strewn all over the gym, never returning them after use. If you can find a matched set of dumbbells below 40, consider yourself lucky. Worse, the staff says they cannot approach members to encourage courtesy. It makes me miss the old days at a Powerhouse or Gold's Gym, when your membership could get canceled for not respecting the gym and its members. I didn't know that "fitness for everybody" means everybody can do whatever the hell they like. Management needs make some semblance of an effort to enforce some gym etiquette. Likewise, they should also trade in 10 or more of the cardio machines that never get used for a few more Smith Machines and/or some Hip Thrust machines so the Smiths can be open for people who don't want to spend an hour focusing solely on growing their backsides.

Not enough equipment, I have to wait 20 minutes sometimes to use things like the smith machine and stair master. Last time I went, I wasn't able to use the seated leg press within the hour and a half that I was there. The worse worse gym ever .They let robbers get in and still people personal belongings,It happened to me twice first time they didn't took anything; but yesterday I let my wallet in my bag inside the locker and guess waht?? They broke my mock and stole 650 dolars .I reported to the guys on the front desk and they said sorry I think Iwe know who could have been.
That's it ,so I canceled my membership and I will cancel my wife's also.Not a safe place plus the machines are always out of order.The gym is going down on every area.

This is gym heaven!!! I really enjoy coming here. It it's nicely set up, clean locker room. Nice lockers, and the locker room has lots of mirrors. I love the cascading staircase to the upper level. The environment here is so relaxed it makes me want to workout longer and not rushed. The staff as well as the other clients are polite making my experience here more comfortable. Also it makes me feel like coming back more often and stay committed to my workouts as a lifestyle.

A Very good Planet Fitness location: clean and well maintained, friendly staff, 4-smith machines, Kettle bells, dumbbells up-to 75LBS, 2-floors and lots to do.

Biggest issue: no parking. Parking is on a meter, which adds-up if you train daily...or you can find a parking spot in the residential area which can be a few blocks away (if you're lucky).

Another issue I encountered: People were "hogging" the Smith Machine(s) These were "young people", on their phones just not training. You'll have to ask them "how many sets you have left" just to get them moving along. Otherwise they will stay on the machine all day! It happens too often here and this has become all too common at Planet Fitness locations...So expect that and prepare ahead.

Still worth a visit. 3/5 stars.

Simple and cheap gym with all that you need for your workout routine. There is a lot of cardio, but I miss the usual bench press and squat (here only in smith machines). Also, I love that hydromassage beds (quite a relief after workout). Overall, recommend it at least because of the price and availability, good choice for the start.

i used to love going to this gym but it’s way to crowded now, because they decided to have the gym open from 5-11 and 7-7 on the weekends. i don’t know who’s idea it was but, it’s a terrible idea! people have to work during the day and want to get a workout in when they get off work and can’t because the gym is too crowded and all the machines and equipment are taken up ! this is not right or fair if we have to pay for the gym membership but can’t even get a work out in ! yall need to go back to 24/7 so EVERYONE can have a chance to workout !

I’m from out of state. Literally looking for a place to use the restroom, and I remembered I have my PF membership. I walked into this gym, and I’ve been inside MANY gyms while on road trips. And this one is sooooo impeccably clean. You walk in and there’s no funk smell lingering. The facilities are SPOTLESS. Show out to the team working Saturday closing shift.
