They recently removed over 10 machines for a yoga ball rack (that nobody uses). Smith machines also have much more friction/resistance making them no longer smooth. Machines were scarce, but now it’s even worse.

Nice place, never had any trouble getting time on any of the machines, treadmills or weights. Everyone here has been friendly and the place is always clean. I would definitely recommend this location. One of the employees (I think his name is Lennox, unsure of how to spell his name) has always been especially friendly and helpful with any questions I may have.

A little annoyed with their customer service. Needed to sign up for a BF card in order to tan since I can’t tan as a guest however it was the customer service that annoyed me. I asked how much the sign up fee was and if there was any cancelations but he walked over to help another customer right the middle and the female with orange curls said I had to wait for him for that answer. I never got there names, it was a young black kid and young woman with orange curls. They also could have just said, I’m not turning the bed on unless it’s just him tanning and not me. Could have saved time on that whole situation.

They both knew NY state law and how planet fitness works with the membership but not the fees and sign up cost or cancellations? That was rude to make me wait like that when I just needed an answer so I can sign up. I usually live planet fitness but it service like that that annoys me. You work there and work the front desk so either she just didn’t want to help me or she really didn’t know, but works there.

Edit: what the hell is wrong with this place. Working out on the squat bar and one of the workers comes two inches within my face to cut me off and grab a weight to put it on the opposite side of the squat bar WHILE I was working out. That was rude as hell and I’ve never had someone cut me off intentionally like that. Jesus Christ get it, together Niagara Falls!

I love my gym, planet fitness, but I do see a difference in the gyms, depending on where you go. Planet fitness in the falls always has the tootsie rolls, which I appreciate and they seem to be more friendly. Planet fitness on Sheridan is more strict, not as friendly and NEVER has tootsie rolls!

Love! Price is incredibly low and they have everything I could ever need. Place is always clean. Tons of treadmills. I have never been there when there wasn't one open. My only complaint is that it sometimes takes a long time to fix things that break. Not a big enough deal to give fewer than five stars.

I love the staff here, all shifts. They’re always super friendly and helpful. Small location , but they have all you need and great massage chairs.
Staff always cleaning and the music playing on the loud speaker is always fire.

Before my husband signed up here, we asked multiple people if it was going to be ok for he and I to go together and take turns sitting with our 7-year-old while the other worked out. We ended up going with her at least once a week and without her several more times per week for the last couple months. We wouldn't have signed up if we knew that they'd randomly change the policy and say we couldn't bring her anymore because she's under 13. If the answer was no, it should have been no on day one. It wasn't based on her behavior, she literally just played math games on her tablet the whole time for each visit. It was just poor management and improper policy implementation.

My experience was at the Niagra Falls, NY location. I was a new customer purchased $24 a month membership. I had not had a chance to use the gym facility yet 2.5 months and paid about $98.00 already. I had anticipated to start a new routine in the coming week and decided I really don't use the plan extras and felt the $10 plan was a better fit for me. I spoke with staff and they said they will have to charge me another $39.00 to down grade to $10 plan. Are you kidding me??? That would be $140, again I have not even used the facility yet. I even offer suggestion to call a GM to work something out. Staff said unfortunately there was nothing they could do as it was corporate policy.. So I just canceled and I won't be coming back.

It's a very clean gym and there are tons of equipment/classes to use. Monthly payment required but affordable. Stopping your membership is a bit more difficult than starting it. The best time of year to join is when they offer discounts usually in January. They also offer free Tootsie Rolls at the counter.

I am older and only used the two front fitness rooms. Was told wed gym closed to add new strength training equipment. Whereas in fact , it was closed to remove all the life fitness machines most of us older use. We could use these machines in private room . Today room empty all machines gone and both good ab machines removed. Inner leg machine replaced for a cheaper version leg pads on both sided flip and positioned directly in front of you no room. The only upper body machines left work independent of each other not short person friendly. The one ab machine in back totally inferior to the two ones removed. Now all machines in aisle or facing all cardio guests .. this is no longer no judgement zone for those who used those machines and prefer not to be displayed in aisle . It geared only towards younger people. And 30 min room still falsely advertised on website , and price increased .
So the feeling of coming to find all your machines gone and higher price. There is very very many including both women and men using this room every day .Very disappointed . Very sad day

Clean equipment/locker rooms, helpful and supportive staff. Zero judgements while working out. There are specific areas if you want to get in a quick workout for legs and abs. Or if you want to do a 30 min circuit. However you can still use the other machines up front for a more diverse workout and free weights as well. Plenty of treadmills and other cardio equipment, never crowed when I go in the early afternoon.

I will say... it is a good place to go and work out. But... some of the staff that use to work there and that are currently employed.... don't know much about your individual contacts. Granted, you should read it yourself. I have been asking since January to cancel my account because I was in a vehicular accident. I was told... "No, you have a year's contract. " other people said "ok, you're removed. " 8 months in and I finally got people who told the truth and said I could have been unenrolled at anytime. It's fixed niw... but the owner still wants me charged.

This is a good gym that has the potential to be a great gym.
Positives:
- Good staff that keeps the gym clean and orderly
- Good atmosphere
- Reasonable price

Negatives:
- The gym does NOT have a rowing machine or row erg. An indoor rowing machine is a must for any gym today, as it provides a full-body workout. Not having one is a big negative--ideally they should have two Concept 2 rowing machines
- The gym's hours are very limited; it closes too early, as it closes at 7pm on the weekends and at 10pm M-Th
- They have an odd assortment of equipment. For example, they have an unusually high number of ab machines, when the best exercises for abs involve a mat and the floor
- They don't have any physio balls/yoga balls or any bosu balls for balancing exercises

I have been going to this location for over 2 years and never had a problem. I always recommended Planet Fitness because I loved the atmosphere and how welcoming the staff was. Unfortunately since the pandemic hit I have been through countless billing issues with them, some which were resolved, some that were not. The managers could care less about what happens and pretty much hung up on me every time I called. Jaclyn was the only one who was actually helpful but it came down to there was nothing left they could do and so I just canceled my membership. Sad because I actually liked this gym

I have been going to this planet fitness for a few years now and have always enjoyed it. The facility is clean and the atmosphere is nice. Recently, I went to this location on a Saturday at 6:00, being well aware that it closes at 7. When entering, an employee reminded me that it closes in 45 minutes. I proceeded to rush through my workout and did not re-rack my weights after using the smith machine, which I almost always do. After the employees flashed the lights signaling that they’re closing soon, I walked to the exit. The same employee from when I came in asked me what machine I used, fully knowing which machine I had used, and reminded me to re-rack my weights next time. He did this with other gym patrons and employees around, frankly it was embarrassing and unnecessary. As if I am not the first person to not re-rack their weights. I felt rushed, unwanted and a bit disrespected. Very disappointing.
