I just want to share how impeccable the staff is at his location. I’ve been coming to this location for about a year now. I think it’s one of the best gyms in the Bushwick area for PF members. Yesterday. I unfortunately got my belongings stolen. I was upset about it because I know there are signs already stating planet fitness is not responsible for stolen items. However I got my hoody, fleece, sweatpants and keys stolen. I was stuck at the gym because I had nothing warm to wear. Also locked out of my home. I felt stuck. Jesus the GM of that location assisted on helping me anyway. One of his coworkers I’m so sorry I forgot her name but I believe it did begin with an N was so kind she went out of her way to buy me a hoody and sweatpants so I can atleast walk home in the cold. Even though I did get my belongings stolen. The amount of support they provided to help me resolve this made me happy enough to still continue to come here. However I know it’s silly of me not to do it in the beginning. But definitely bring a lock if you plan to leave anything in the locker rooms. I got too comfortable even though I was able to not feel worried for a year. It still

A nice Gym. Often visiting this place. Regarding Parking drive up to the Food Bazaar close to this branch. It is a 3 minute walk and afterwards you can do your groceries. I see people often cleaning the machines after use. The atmosphere is okay.
1 small minus, please fix the foot pedal on the rowing machine.
Staff is polite. Helpful. I once left my phone in the changing room and still could have get it back without nobody stealing or taking it...kudos

How is this the biggest planet fitness that I’ve been to in this entire city. Yet they only have 3 operating stairmaster at all times. They have 4 machines, but in the last 2 YEARS one is always “under maintenance.” It’s always packed to the brim no matter what time of day you go. 8 am, 12 pm, 3 pm, 5 pm, 8 pm it doesn’t matter. How is it that management here can’t comprehend that these stairmaster machines are always being used. Why not invest in a couple of more. It’s completely ridiculous that I have to wait 20-30 minutes just to use one of these machines no matter what TIME I go. Definitely the worst managed, most overpacked planet fitness in the entire city. I avoid going here at all costs but being that this one is the closest one to my house it’s much more difficult to go out any further.

EDIT: They listened and doubled the amount of stairmaster machines. Great job management.

i’ve been to at least 20 different Planet Fitness locations this year alone and i was almost traumatized by what i saw here. how this place isn’t a fire hazard i’ll never understand. there is zero space to walk between machines or even the bathroom. most of the amenities advertised are always out of order with no timeline to be fixed or replaced. during the summer it turns into a war zone when teenagers are allowed to come for free with no supervision (on separate occasions i saw a 16 year old throw a workout ball at an older man while he was on a treadmill and 2 other teens exiting a tanning booth together after clearly having sex). if there are Planet Fitness locations that exist worse than this one i’d be terrified.

Never get a planet fitness membership anywhere! They will not let you cancel and will charge you consistently every single month. They say you have to go the location you started your membership with. I went back to this location and they said that I needed to come back after they charged me for the next month even though I told them I’d moved across the country. I’ve never been attached to a company more greedy than planet fitness and that’s saying something. Not to mention this location makes me itch. I’ve only ever seen them clean the machines once while I was there and it wasn’t thorough at all. It gets so crowded here and you have to go all around looking for mats. Not to mention getting inside is disgusting with all the pigeons and garbage everywhere outside.

I want to clarify this is my home club, not the current club i normally go to. With my previous membership, this location was (and still is) inconvenient, usually crowded with kids or crowded in general, and if it’s not that, it’s broken machines.

Recently i reactivated my gym membership, entered my details including checking, etc. Everything went through fine, my membership was set. I went to make my payment on 09/13, i got the email saying payment was submitted.

It’s now the 17th (when it’s due), and the money still wasn’t taken out. I didn’t receive any emails or texts but i went into this club on the 18th (again, my home club) to see why the payment didn’t go through. My routing number was wrong, okay, Jesus fixes it. I ask about the late fee and if it can be waived, since i submitted the payment earlier and didn’t get any notification that it wasn’t accepted. He doesn’t tell me yes or no, that it’s still pending and to come back in a few days. Okay, sounds good. Sounds like there might be a solution.

I come back today, the 24th, the payment plus the late fee was taken out of my account. Jesus, manager, is there, and he then tells me he can’t do anything about the fee since it’s already posted. So why tell me to come back if there is no solution? My main issue was the late fee, i was adamant on that, and he said to come back in a few days since it was all pending.

What was the purpose of coming back if my checking information was corrected when I originally went? The payment went through. I only wanted to know if the late fee could be waived, that was my only inquiry. If he knew from the beginning that waiving the fee was not possible (pending or posted), then just say that rather than wasting my time in coming back in hopes of a solution. I would have rather been told that and taken the L, instead of coming here for absolutely no solution AND taking the L for the late fee.

Trash gym. Tons of broken machines. Extremely overcrowded after 5 pm. Lately there have been lockers cut into and the employees do nothing. I was robbed today. They cut into the locker, put my still locked lock into the locker next to mine. When you complain they tell you they aren't responsible for belongings but they also don't want you to bring your bag on the gym floor. 60% of the lockers in the men's room have been cut into. They have signs all over the men's room to lock your stuff yet that doesn't help when the lockers are made of crap and easy to break into. Stay away.

Edit: On top of this the ac doesn't work and they have no idea when it will be fixed. This gym is a health hazard when it's packed and a thousand degrees inside

This place is always nice and clean when I go which I try and go several days a week. The only issue is that it does get quite busy but that just means you have to plan to go to your desired machines when they are free. You won’t necessarily be able to plan when you use the machines if you don’t want to wait when it gets busy. I try and go during the less busy hours but that isn’t always possible with my schedule. At least they have the app that gives you a decent estimate of how many people are there currently though sometimes it’s not quite accurate.

I have been a member of planet fitness for many years with the black card membership I have, I've been to many locations. My encounter at this location was very pleasant s/o to Jose and the assistant manager Jason.Upon entering they both greeted me with a smile which I often never get when I enter any pf gym. They told me where everything was around the gym. Both were kind, charismatic and just all around good people.The equipment is not the latest, kind of outdated compared to other pf locations I been at but I think people are able to get a workout in. However the customer service I endured today makes it all up.TRUE GEMS. whoever hired them hit the jackpot customer service was top notch.

It's overcrowded,you have to wait over an hour sometimes to use the equipment and machines,people take the weights from the weight area and don't return them back to it correct place or they would leave the weights in a different section of the gym,and you have to go searching for that weight throughout the gym,last but not least the equipment are old and not up to date, they still have the same equipment since the gym opened,not like most of the planet fitness I've been to,not to mention the locker rooms need an upgrade or face-lift as well,the staff are very nice and friendly people, I hold the blame to management people.

I went in-person to cancel my membership and was asked to sign something without being given the opportunity to read the terms I was agreeing to. I signed the document as requested and then the staff member told me I had to pay $58 to cancel my membership. I immediately asked if I could revoke the cancellation cancelling because it would be cheaper for me to just keep the membership for the four months I’ll be gone. The staff member said it was too late and that I had already signed. She completely failed to tell me I would have to pay $58. Such behavior almost appears to be a breach of fiduciary duty. I understand if these were the terms of the contract but PF’s failure to provide me the contract to read prior to signing and failure to inform me of the cancellation cost is incredibly unprofessional. I also want to note that I called yesterday to discuss whether it would be cheaper for me to keep my membership for four months or to cancel. The staff member I spoke to made no mention of the cancellation fee. Further, the fact that the staff member only told me of the fee after having me sign a legally binding agreement seems like a major failure to disclose and therefore fraudulent misrepresentation. I will never be returning to this planet fitness location or any planet fitness for that matter.

I really like this gym, I've been coming here for many years, unfortunately it's not 24 hours anymore, I always go to do my exercise routine, I focus on my training and unfortunately there are too many people who all they do is be on the phone on top of the machine, using the time that another person may need it and they don't clean the machines either, they leave everything dirty, the workers do their best to keep it clean but the people are inherently dirty and also intrusive, always looking at or almost on top of you I think next time I will have to tell anyone that the gym is individual and everyone should concentrate on what they are doing and not interrupt others'.

I am canceling my Planet Fitness membership. I came to this facility and locked my belongings with the planet fitness lock that was purchased. Someone broke into my locker and stole all of my belongings. This is an apparent problem at this facility. A worker should be in the locker room at all given times if this a reoccurrence. This is absolutely unacceptable.

Edit: Of course the response from planet fitness will be that they aren’t responsible for stolen or lost items. However, the facility should take all measurements to ensure their paying members feel safe. There was no manager on site during the time my items were stolen and only the managers can review the tapes. It appears that people prey on its members. This is unacceptable and I will no longer support this company.

Not everyone cleans the machines after they use it. Members should get verbal reminders at check in time and maybe a penalty if not complying with rules. Maybe posted on each machine where very visible.

Rude customer service, the young tall thin pale boy who works the front desk was apparently watching me as I as a black card holder was utilizing the massage chair. I fell asleep in it, as the area was completely empty the entire time, he abruptly woke me up and excused me. I will never ever visit that planet fitness again. Shame on you for hiring that pseudo security guard.

Really like this gym, it’s so much bigger than some of the other gyms in the area with a bunch of cardio machines, weight training machines, and free weights, didn’t see anything out of order. Generally very a clean and there were a few of those teens that everyone seems to hate but today (Aug 31) is the last day for the teen-free-summer special so I expect the numbers will start to decrease.
And the staff were super nice and really helpful. I wanted to try one day before committing to a membership and the girl at the front desk showed me how to get around the fee and get a free trial day plus the people who helped me sign up were really patient going step by step with me

I saw a ton of 1 star reviews so I was hesitant about this gym but I think it’s actually very good. Maybe they’ve fixed everything that was so wrong before?
