I recently went in with my mom to handle an issue with her membership and Philip the Assistant Manager made the process so smooth. He handled my situation with ease and made sure my mother’s account had no more issues. I highly advise that if you have any questions or need anything that you speak to Philip because he is excellent at his job. I typically never write reviews but I felt the need to right now. I originally wrote a good review, however, I am completely dissatisfied with a lack of accountability for an issue regarding the showers in the men’s locker room. For over a month now, I have brought to the attention of the staff that the showers in the men’s room are cold. There is no warm or hot water. It is as cold as it could be. Although the staff is friendly, I have left two messages asking for the manager to contact me. I was told by the staff that management is aware of the issue, however, when I ask if it’s in the process of being fixed, they have no response. Actually; I’ve gotten two responses from two different people. One staff member said there is an issue with some hardware in the shower. The other staff member claims that they have always been cold due to something with the women’s showers. Needless to say, this is contradictory. I’m not the only member who has been frustrated by this but I am unsure if they have also tried to contact management. Additionally, I exercise from 4am to 5:30am Monday through Friday. There are very few people in the gym at that time so the water is not being used in abundance. To have this issue continuing for this long is absurd. I am also in the process of contacting their corporate office because to reiterate, nobody at this location has returned any of my messages. They were left with the staff to please have return my call. If you are the owner or manger and you are reading this, I plan to come in here day after day and continue to offer low ratings and voice my frustration because this is what I now have to resort to. It’s also wonderful that I’m paying for a membership without working amenities. If you don’t care enough to return my message’s; I guess so be it, but I’ve been going to gyms for the last 30 years and I’ve never had an issue like this. I also never had an issue at any other Planet Fitness; including the one in Riverhead that I had transferred from. I sincerely doubt you enjoy taking ice cold showers; nor do I.

If you're looking for a clean,affordable place to work out..THIS is your place! Ppl pretty much come in to do their thing..not staring at others. Staff is very polite...I've seen them on numerous occasions cleaning around the premises and dusting off the machines. In addition, Planet Fitness has played a key role in helping me live a healthier lifestyle. This is my "happy place"!

For anybody returning to the exercise scene such as myself, I highly recommend Planet Fitness in Rocky Point. It was totally judgment free and there were folks of all different ages, shapes and sizes. Once I got on the recumbent bike, I was so happy to have made the decision to work on my health again. Started going here regularly January 18th, 2024 for a New Year's Resolution. The excellent staff is consistently warm, friendly, helpful and professional. There is a palpable camaraderie amongst staff which carries over to the clientele. Nicky the Personal Trainer is outstanding, kind, caring, professional and effective. This assessment is from personal experience as well as observation of his working with others. The wonderful staff make it easy to want to come back. The gym is very clean and machines work well. If ever a machine gets broken it is fixed right away. They mix up the background music so there is something for everyone. They have a filtered water machine so you can refill your water bottle without cost. The clientele is polite and pleasant. Everyone minds their own business so you can work on your fitness goals without feeling self conscious or embarrassed. There is no sense of gym intimidation. There are Rocky Point high schoolers, seniors, men, women, people of all different colors and cultures, of different shapes and sizes, people who seem like they are training for the Olympics and those who are just starting out. Everyone from the community is represented and welcome. Bathrooms are very clean, showers are hot. The comfy massage chairs and beds are terrific. Of course my overall health has greatly improved from coming here. I've lost 21 lbs for 2024 and hope to lose another 21 for 2025 and continue building my stamina. I've heard that the Rocky Point Planet Fitness is the busiest as everyone loves to come here, it certainly is THE BEST!

I ended up stuck with a membership because the staff is trained to tell you you or a family member needs to physically cancel. Paid for months because of an illness.
Do not fall for this scam. FTC law “click to pay” law was creating avoid this scam. Not worth an attorney for 180 dollars, but that’s what they managed to continue to collect from me because I fell for the have to come in to cancel.

It has all the machines you need. 2 large sets dumbells. 24hrs. Not many "muscle heads." Tanning, massage chairs, water tables, Vibra-shake machines, and a diverse array of resistance machines. Cheaper than any other gym. Just wish they had free weight bench or hammer strength Machines so I wouldn't have to supplement elsewhere. Overall a great gym.

I have been going to planet fitness for a few years now and I have to say it is nice! I started going in my teens and they were good at making sure we knew what we were doing and always offered to help us. although there are not many people working there they have the place well managed. I really do appreciate the locker rooms with showers and a place to put your bag down when you work out. I would recommend going here if you want to get into a gym!

Decent Gym. Great place to start working out. A lot of people go here though. It can get busy depending on the day and time of day. They have an app which is good. You can track the "crowd meter" which tells you ahead of time how busy the gym is at that time. The staff are very friendly. My only thing I could say to build on is getting heavier dumbbells at some point. And maintaining the Smith machines better. The bar slides can get gunked up at times making the resistance more gummy.
