I was appreciative of having a place to workout, however this is by far the worst planet fitness that I've ever been too!

The women's showers, which there were only two of, both didn’t drain. The only changing room INSIDE the women's locker room could be SEEN from the treadmills out in the gym! The lockers were broken, and missing parts. The ceiling had mold, and obvious water damage. The place was just disgusting. No windows whatsoever. Run down machines, the air smelled unclean, and stuffy. Not to mention the place was very crowded, and you had to wait for your space, or a machine. It seemed like they were over their limit on occupancy.

I was genuinely surprised at the state of this, and that planet fitness would allow such a run down building to be associated with them!

On Saturday, September 27th at around 3 PM, there was an older guy at the front desk who was literally sleeping while on his phone. I had to greet him just to wake him up. He then pretended like he’d been alert the whole time and sluggishly asked me to take a check-in photo. That alone took way too long.

Then I asked him to activate the massage chair — something I use regularly — and instead, he turned on everything except the chair. No apology, no explanation, just completely clueless. This guy clearly had no idea what he was doing and didn’t seem to care either.

This is my main gym and normally I don’t have issues, but this experience was bad enough to make me start looking into other gyms. I come here to focus, not to deal with lazy, unprofessional staff who make things harder than they need to be. If this is what I have to expect going forward, I’m out.

I am very frustrated maybe someone can solve this recurring problem. Of the 4 new Lifecycle recumbant bikes at the Scarsdale club 1 new recumbant bike is constantly is out of order. I approached one of your staff members at the front desk and complained that that same bike is constantly has an out of order sign and never gets fixed. They seem nice but have no answer as to the reason a brand new Lifecycle recumbant bike never gets fixed. PLEASE GET ALL OF YOUR EQUIPMENT FIXED SO MEMBERS CAN USE THEM.

Have replied to several surveys that were sent to me and unfortunately the owner never responds to any of them. This gym needs a lot of work and improvement ! Located inside a depressing basement , poor ventilation, new machines that were put in place like 3 months ago already broken and out of service , the time to repair these machines takes weeks , they dilute the antiseptic to basically pink water which is ineffective . And don’t use the excuse that your ratio of solution to water is what you follow if these machines were home that ratio is suffice but people from the outside coming in sick with colds , sneezing , sweating on these machines and not cleaning them need a stronger solution. meanwhile I had a person next to me sneeze snot onto the buttons and left it , this gym has a lot of elderly people who not to on point with hygiene and wiping of machines . I recommend placing AEDs on the floor in case of an emergency at least someone on the floor has access to one not relying on some clueless kid working at this gym , I asked if they are cpr certified response was we did it online how can you effectively learn cpr online ? You can’t see if one’s hand placement , breaths or compressions are accurate , just a bad ran franchise. Bathrooms don’t have soap , left empty meanwhile workers all just hanging around , YOU SHOULD FOLLOW THE ORANGE COUNTY LOCATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL. THEY USE REAL ANTISEPTIC , clean bathrooms , 100 percent clean on point gym.

The Scarsdale,NY clubs website states their open M-F at 5:00 am but the when I called representative at this location said they open at 6:00 am. This is a bummer for anyone who signed up for this gym thinking they can get a real early workout before work.

Planet fitness is affordable. It also has a variety of machines and many of them so that you are not wasting time waiting on a line for your turn. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS GYM. My only desire is that it extend it's Saturday hours at least until 9pm.

I’m not sure how anyone could say this place is clean and functional. The women’s bathroom Is always filthy. The Treadmills are always broken and they’re not fixed very quickly and when they are operational, the TVs don’t work so you stay into space while you’re on a treadmill for a half hour 45 minutes. This is not good a waste of money

Probably the worst planet fitness in New York State… mind you I’m coming from the Bronx and the Bronx even has better planet fitness gyms. The women’s locker room is way too small only 2 showers and 90% of the time it’s dirty and smells very bad. There is limited space to workout and machines are always down. Please do better I get it it’s a “no judgement zone” but there is absolutely no reason that there are no mirrors in the women’s locker room. We are women that need to look at ourselves before we exit so we don’t look a mess please do better.

Both the White Plains and Scarsdale locations are clean. Staff is friendly, equipment is always where it should be, a good amount of equipment and I must say that the hammer strength machines (bench/ hack squat)are a welcome addition!

This is a decently good location of PFit, but it’s wicked small. There’s one hydromassage bed, and during peak hours, it might be hard to find a treadmill. The elevator downstairs has been broken for a while. The machines are not super new but most work well, they’re pretty good about putting out of order signs up.

Definitely a solid PF. I many of the treadmill monitors don't work that sucks.
Also it is hard to get a triceps machine, so maybe add 1 or 2 more.

But the staff is pleasant and including the red light enhancement is a plus. Also more plate machines I am noticing less crowds in that area.

This place is very good. I feel like after you get used to what machines are where it's kind of natural on what you want to do. This place has the new weight lifting equipment, which is a laying down chest press and seated calf raises. Also, it has a squat machine and a leg press machine. This place too me is good, the environment is okay also the staff are really nice. The myth about the lunk alarm in this place isn't true, I have been going here the past weak and not once has the alarm been set off also the employees don't get had if you slam the weights. They have great machines here and for people who want to lose weight, gain muscle, or maintain their physique. This is the place for you.

My experience at the Planet Fitness in Scarsdale has been less than ideal. While the staff is friendly enough, the facility itself leaves a lot to be desired.

The gym is located in a dark basement without any windows, which creates a somewhat depressing atmosphere. It’s not very big, so the machines are often crowded, and it can be hard to maneuver around certain areas when people are using equipment.

Speaking of equipment, the condition is disappointing. Many treadmills, bikes, and other machines are old and frequently out of order. Even when they are operational, the TVs built into the machines are often fuzzy, static-filled, or completely nonfunctional. It seems they rely on outdated coax connectors, which are notoriously unreliable. While I understand we’re not there to watch TV, it’s frustrating when features advertised as part of the experience don’t work.

To make matters worse, there are visible leaks from pipes and other overhead fixtures while working out. It’s unsettling and adds to the overall sense that the gym is in dire need of renovation.

In summary, this Planet Fitness location desperately needs an upgrade. From the old, poorly functioning equipment to the uninviting environment, there’s a lot of room for improvement. Until those updates happen, I would hesitate to recommend this gym.

I am revising my review. I bought a Planet Fitness Black Card membership to travel this summer and when it was time to return to Scarsdale, I gave the Scarsdale location another try since I still had the membership. The music isn’t too loud any more. It’s really nice. It’s unobtrusive and that’s important at 6 am in the morning. The showers have been hot/warm and never cold. They keep everything clean and neat including the showers. The women’s locker room is always clean. It looks like they hung new shower curtains. Overall, it is a good experience. The parking is great. The staff are pleasant.
It’s good when management listens to its patrons and makes changes to improve.
It means they care.

I’m currently a member at Planet Fitness using the teens workout free summer promotion. I think the promotion is awesome and I’m so glad I’ve been able to workout this summer without having to buy an expensive gym membership.

This planet fitness has a great selection of equipment and dumbbells. It’s located in a very small space so I have to find a corner in order to do body weight or functional training movements. It’s also in a basement with poor AC/airflow so it’s uncomfortable. My last workout I was also covered in flies (bugs) which wasn’t very pleasant.

Overall I’m thankful for the promotion, but I wish this location was organized better and had more space for dumbbell-only exercises.

Joined to see how it would go - based on schedule, tried to get there, but instead, bought dumbbells and began working out at home. Sent an email 4 weeks ago saying would like to quit my membership. No response. Was charged twice for $24. Had to go in person to quit membership - went and did that last Saturday, to avoid third charge. Today was charged an "annual fee" of $49. Called and was told that I had to cancel by the 25th to avoid that. Total rip off. Typical money grab for $49. Would have considered coming back but ZERO chance now. (also was told they couldn't refund my money). Two visits, $100, to Planet Fitness, You win, I guess, buy you won't fool me again. Best of luck.

The place is spotless. The men's locker room could be a bit more spacious. It can be a bit crowded at certain times of the day. I love the feature that one can exercise while watching TV, although some TVs do not work. There are tons of equipment for virtually any type of exercise or muscle workout. The equipment is frequently being wiped down.

Do not waste your time or money by joining this gym. the equipment is not in operable condition, and there is absolutely no security for your personal possessions like they have in all the other planet fitness gyms in the area. The white plains and Yonkers planet fitness gyms, all have cubby lockers, which are out in the open and under a video camera giving complete security to your personal possessions.

Got my fitness start here and was fine with the space until I saw another planet fitness. Wow. The scarsdale location is in a basement, minimal equipment which is often broken, and multiple pipes look like there is water between the pipe and paint and it could fall on a patron at any moment. YIKES
Went to the Yonkers and Fairfield locations and they are so much nicer.

BEWARE if you are ever unfairly charged a late fee due to issues on THEIR end, they will do nothing to make it right. The desk employees will tell you to wait for a manager, the manager will tell you call corporate, and corporate will tell you it must be solved at the gym. An endless cycle of “I can’t help you, go ask them”. The initial sign up fee came out just fine, but for some reason due to an issue that they admitted was on their end, the first 2 months payments didn’t go through and I was charged a late fee for both. Not once was I notified that there was an issue, no email no call and no word from the employees at the desk who can clearly see I have an outstanding balance every single time I scan in. Pure incompetence. On another note, the only good thing about this gym is there’s a decent amount of parking. absolutely no room to do any sort of stretching to warm up. plenty of other bigger gyms nearby for a similar price that won’t scam you. go elsewhere.
