Why do I always have to remind the workers to turn on the hot water when I want to utilize the showers? Shouldn’t it be the first thing they do next shift if they shut it off or at Midnight Monday when they re-open? I’ve had to leave the shower to grab my phone getting it wet to make a call to the front. Half the time they don’t even turn it on. The one overnight guy said he needed access to the female locker room. He came in and didn’t fix anything. Then another guy working overnight went into the boiler room and it worked. Really poor communication. All they’re doing is standing around overnight. I’m a paying member. Why am I having to ask for this to happen??? Watch. This Sunday/Monday when I go in there at midnight there will be no hot water. This needs to be addressed. Also when someone applies does the manager for this club just not answer anyone? Really bad management here.

First of all, I and my friends agree, this is the nicest PF in the area. Second, I asked the manager, Kira, about an exercise machine that I had seen another PF in a different State. She called around to see if any of the other local PF's carried it and then called me back with a list of those who do in case I really wanted to use it. I don't ever leave reviews but, this sort of customer service needs to be acknowledged and appreciated. Thanks Kira!

I came down to Planet Fitness of Stonybrook today and I was very impressed with the facility. The machines and locker rooms were clean and it was spacious with plenty of equipment. I was helped out at the front desk by Amra who was extremely friendly and informative and he answered all the questions that I had. Im happy to be signing up with this gym!

I always love my experience working out at Planet Fitness in Stony Brook. This was the first Planet Fitness location I visited when I was starting my fitness journey and I have had a blast since. I come here with my friends and other times with my dad. Staff is always nice and friendly. Place is very clean and well maintained. Showers are clean. Machines work well. My favorite part about this location is how close it is to Smith Haven Mall, places to eat, and the AMC Stony Brook movie theater. Especially this location is great as I work at Smith Haven Mall so it's very close to my work.

My family and I have chosen to never use Planet Fitness services, and are encouraging our friends and extended family to do the same.
It is deplorable that their policies allow women to feel vulnerable and unsafe in the locker rooms, by allowing men to freely enter at any time!
If you have a problem with that? They'll just ban you!

I love how clean the facility is, how I can gauge when it's busy or not, the staff knows my name and preferences and are always super helpful.
I love the equipment. It is my happy place! IF they could manage the "phone zombies" (aka people who monopolize a piece of equipment and are scrolling on their phones) it would be nirvana.

I've been to this gym a few times great staff and the place is always well kept and very clean..I know for some members after dealing with the pandemic these past few years we have our concerns.. I find that both the staff and the membership in this gym go out of their way to keep the place safe and clean..I always find all the equipment in excellent working order..I've been training in gyms most of my life well over 30 years..I find Planet fitness to be one of the best deals around !!

I really enjoy working out at planet fitness as the equipment is easy to use and well maintained. I workout mostly in the mornings and I don’t have to wait to use a station. The people at PF are respectful about not tying up equipment, sharing at times and keeping them clean.
