The tanning beds and booths are so thick with filth. God forbid that any of the workers actually do anything other than stand around talking to each other my next complaint is gonna be to the health department because I’m sick and tired of paying a monthly fee and I gotta go into this place and clean everything before I even use it. It’s supposed to be the opposite. You’re supposed to clean after yourself. Not other people ! Planet Fitness is a good gym!

Overall clean equipment, friendly staff, and a comfortable, judgment-free environment. The membership is affordable and the machines are always well-maintained, so it’s easy to get a good workout in.

However, the biggest downside is the early closing hours on weekends. Closing at 9 PM on Friday and 7 PM on both Saturday and Sunday really doesn’t make sense for a gym!!Those are peak times for people who work or have busy schedules. I'm considering to cancel my membership in the long run.

Tried to join online, but I had a couple of questions…called multiple times no answer, so I stopped by today to join in person, filled out the forms on their tablet, was waiting for an email, never got one, not in my spam, not in my regular email so I said that’s OK, I’ll just give you my information so you can enter it into your system. Gave them my drivers license my financial information and they said we’re sorry we can’t do that . In this economy, to turn away somebody eager to pay you money is just mind blowing. I love coming here. Not only are the people friendly, but it is fun to get a workout in and watch people. There is a mix from the guys who are young and gym goers constantly, there are people there that want to get a workout in and don't want to talk to or see many people. And then there's many others that go to socialize and work out. It is nice that they have a hydrobed, massage chairs and red light therapy. All well needed after a long day at work and a workout.

So I decided to use this location today for my workout. I get done with my workout as a planet fitness black card member Within my membership is access to the body enhancement so today I go to use it have issues with it and the two employees they were on shift resulted to be so helpful that according to the ba I was given they are required by my state law to log wen you use the tanning beds or body enhancement machines that wasn’t fun. Let’s start by that I go outside. Tell him I’m having issues with the machine and according to the employee since they were someone else is in line waiting to use it so there for my use of the machine gets completely disregarded now they decide to do there jobs because I spoke up about it now the decide to do their job according to New York State law, which they should’ve done from the beginning and I’m not able to use a service I pay for funny this location staff seems to pick and choose what members they treat as they should as paying members that help with there paychecks so with that being said people 👀👀at this location

I’ve been going to this gym for a while and I have always enjoyed it. They recently got new treadmills and stairmasters and overall it’s a nice place. My only complaint and something I would really like to see here are regular squat racks where the bar disconnects. While they offer smith machines and racks with a connected bar there are no free squat racks and I have considered going to other gyms for this main reason. Overall though I would suggest this gym to most people.

The Planet Fitness deal is so spectacular it just seems bizarre that they offer that price. I've had friends tell me they paid $45 to go tanning six times for a Planet Fitness membership and that includes unlimited tans Hydro chairs full gym rest area TVs etc etc the list goes on it's super clean staff is super friendly I would recommend planning Fitness to anyone also it's not a gym where everybody is a lifelong athlete most of the people in Planet Fitness are just regular folks so there's no need to feel out of place some smaller gyms only cater to their most physically fit clientele, planet fitnesses for anybody

Not everyone is into metal, and that includes ppl like me who find it stressful and that it gets me incredibly anxious and irritated. I can't stand listening to screaming; idgaf how well- played their instruments might be, if I have to hear metal, I'm out.

The shower stalls are relatively clean, but tight fitting, small. The water temp is consistent enuf, but doesn't get super hot, and the pressure is a bit low. Shower heads are variable flow, so that's nice, and it's nice that the curtains cover the full width of the stall (tho that's easier than other locations bc they're only about 2.5 feet wide). Hooks are plentiful enuf, too.

I opened my membership with Planet and Fitness Tonawanda to begin in Feb 2025. Planet and Fitness was having a $1 per month deal at the time. The plan I was signed up for was supposed to be $15 per month and $49 annual membership fee. But charges on my account stated otherwise. On Feb 3rd, my credit card was charged $1 for the month. On Feb 25th I was charged $35 for March. On March 6th, I was charged $69 for an annual fee. On March 25th I was charged $35 for April. I contacted Planet and Fitness multiple times regarding the charges, the agents on the phone told me different things. One agent told me I didn’t have a bank account on my file, that’s why they had to charge my credit card. By the way, the company prefers you have multiple payment methods. Another agent told me I have multiple payment methods and a bank account on my contract. But they couldn’t collect the payment from my bank, so they charged me $20 in late payment and $5 in service fee in addition to the monthly charges. Planet and Fitness never contacted me regarding any billing account issue and none of the payments were late as the payments were collected prior to the month began. When I accessed the app, there was no itemization of what was the actual monthly charge and what was being charged as late fee or service fee. I requested for a copy of my membership contract be sent to me via email so I can review it further. Multiple agents couldn’t figure out the simple task of emailing a customer her membership contract. One even lied and said it was sent to me, but it was not. I then had to go to my home gym to address this issue and they were able to give me a copy of the membership contract. When I asked the customer service agent why didn’t someone from billing contact me if they thought I had a billing account issue. I also pointed out it clearly stated in the contract that Planet and Fitness will contact the customer regarding billing related topics if needed. The agent looked at me like I asked a stupid question and told me they couldn’t bother to contact customers about billing accounts since they have so many customers. This basically indicated to me they don’t care about customer service since they already have enough membership to make profit. Upon this response I requested my membership to be cancelled, which the agent did. I made the request to cancel my membership on March 25th 2025. Upon making the request, my access to my membership card through the app was erased and I no longer had access to the gym as of March 25th 2025. Even though I was charged for the month of April, I was not given access to use the gym till then, and I was not refunded the money for April either.

The only reason Planet and Fitness was able to stay competitive in today’s market is definitely not due to their customer service but because their price seems slightly lower in comparison to other gyms. But that’s a trick to entice the customers to open membership and they make for those few dollars with their hidden charges. The Planet and Fitness as a company lack proper personnel or training to handle their growing business. They really don’t care about providing good service to their existing members as long as they are gaining new members and making profit because that’s the bottom line for them. My advice is to pay a few dollars more if you have to go to a better gym where people are equipped to handle their business and customer service, because in the long run you will save money by not being a member of Planet and Fitness.

I've been in the hospital for 3 weeks for a bacteria infection. Obviously, I wasn't concerned about the gym membership. I was charged for the previous month but hadn't been in the gym because my hospital stay. The representative said he could not move my payment to the current month because of policies. I advised that I was in the hospital. He said I should have called to freeze my membership. Like I stated, my concern wasn't a gym membership but my health, my children and my job. I don't want to be part of a gym that doesn't care about my health.

Tried it out a week or so ago with a guest. The equipment is reasonable and orderly, but who is going to pay over $20/mo for the black card when you go in the standing tan beds and a third of the bulbs are burnt out? Do they even maintain the equipment with those fees? The front door alone on the standing tan has 16 bulbs, 6 were burnt out. The sides and back similar. Might as well spend a little more and escape the $10 crowding and actually get working tanning.

I love coming to the gym here. The staff is exceptionally nice and always friendly. They always grant requests fast and with a smile. I truly look forward to coming here each day to work out. However my major complaint is the locker rooms and bathrooms. They are often extremely dirty and just need to be cleaned more regularly. I have really enjoyed my experience with Planet fitness . It’s a very clean location. The chairs are amazing and always clean. It smells good. The equipment is great. Everything is still very new. This is the 3rd gym I've had a membership for in Kenmore. It's hot inside in summer and even spring, the music is too loud and bad, there are way too many treadmills, the locker rooms always stink of weed, and for some reason there's a little alarm inside that goes off at random times to remind you not to grunt or something.

This gym is, however, open 24 hours on weekdays (not Fridays) and have later hours on weekends than most gyms. That is huge in the Buffalo area, and they do it at a cheaper monthly price than other gyms. The main thing that made me change my opinion on this gym though is that after leaving a lower scored review that complained about how 2 machines were always occupied, the manager called me to inform me he's getting more of those machines.

Seems to have improved from when I last joined them. Machines seem better and they are updating more of them soon. I've been getting great workouts and taking full advantage of the extras. You mother truckers have been charging me 50.08 a month for a 25 a month membership. For most of my membership no club within 100 miles had a trainer or classes which is why I signed up for a plan with the amenities. What kind of malarkey is a “courtesy payment fee” of 25.08. I’m sorry I thought since I gave you payment method and agreed to monthly payment and at no time was told I had to process payment myself I assumed it would auto pay like memberships at other companies. I absolutely love Planet Fitness gyms - they have literally EVERYTHING you would possibly need, and the staff at the Tonawanda Sheridan Drive location in Buffalo are top tier!! Always ready and willing to help with any questions or issues, and this is the cleanest Planet Fitness I've ever been to. I needed help learning how to use the tanning bed and the guy working the night shift didn't know how to help me learn how to use them and didn't seem to care the club doesn't provide the safety glasses and should especially for the beginners for 1st time Tanner's, also they need to re-stock there Drinks in their coolers. If I go back there and someone does not show me how to use a tanning bed I will cancel my new membership the same day and will be calling corporate that's not how you keep you're members!

I’ve been a member since 2018 and the first thing I did is start a routine by stretching very important then get my energy up and blood flowing by getting on the treadmill and then work out my arms, legs, glutes etc and Planet fitness has every machine for every part of my body and after each workout I feel good and energetic best feeling ever after every workout.

I Love PF. it's never overly crowded when I go each day between 11 and 1 PM> the staff is friendly, helpful, always say hello and goodbye. Excellent gyms. Clean, with friendly staff. Didn’t try to sell me things I didn’t necessarily want. Fellow people exercising varied in age, which was nice. The automatic massage chairs quite comfortable after long airplane flights. Gym staff very helpful with all my questions.

Had the worst experience in my life. Went to visit the place with a friend who had a black card who can take a friend with him any time. So I was the third person there. I had a classic membership with other club. The lady in the front desk didn't let me in and kept saying I can't let you in for a day since my supervisor is watching me. Really!!! I personally saw people making visits at the same club for a courtesy visit who doesn't have any membership at all and you cannot let me in for a single day? You did a great job upholding your company's policy. Great job!!!

I like the gym but man the men’s locker room is awful really needs a good cleaning, not the easiest thing to maintain. But I sure hope my cry for a clean locker room is heard.

Want to use hydro bed and massage chair first thing in the morning. Nobody at front desk for over 15 minutes! Why am I paying money for someone not to be there to activate the beds and chair????? Very disappointed!!!
