I liked how most of the machines were spread out and the gym was not overcrowded. The one thing that drove me nuts is that the staff was standing around a lot and the gym looked like a pigsty. Almost every single place had weights laying around off the racks and trash thrown on the ground. Take some pride in your job and clean the place up.

Nice gym. Ladies locker toilet stalls need a little more cleaning daily. I won't go into specifics about that, but Val kept the locker room immaculate. She is missed by many. Had to buy a headset, your piped in music sounds like the casino canned music in Las Vegas. People took your music survey at the front desk as to what genre we preferred and the winner hasn't been played yet. Otherwise, the equipment is top notch and maintained.

I travel a lot for work and frequently go to different PF across the country. Yesterday in Saginaw MI, I went to one of the best I’ve been to. This is now the second to the worst- the worst one yet is in NH.
It is really dark and shadowy inside, and you can barely see other people’s faces. Forget reading a book while doing cardio. Even with my noise cancelling headphones on the gym music is still too loud, it is also trashy pop music so be sure to bring your own headphones if that isn’t your taste of music. It is small and very poorly laid out.
Worst of all it is dirty, with trash around, and in poor condition. In the locker room one of the hooks for shower clothes had fallen off and was just sitting on the table with an empty sanitizing spray bottle. There are broken lucite sign holders taped up in the bathroom stalls.
Not a professional atmosphere. I feel bad for the people whose home gym this is. Reconsider coming here if you have a choice to go to a different place.

This is a great gym to come to! It has accommodating hours of operation, it’s always clean, and there is a lot of equipment to fit everyone’s needs. The staff, particularly Marius and Val are always welcoming and smiling!

They nice and all but damn for a classic I had to pay $74 so I decided to go back on my black card that I canceled and was on debt for $150 thankfully they gave me a great discount so I only paid $99 but still something that I couldn’t afford. No wonder why people don’t go to gyms because how pricey they are. I think you guys need to be affordable. Literally you guys are located in Utica. A lot of people in Utica can’t just afford that much. I hope one day planet fitness fix their prices because honestly it’s not fair.

Cardio equipment broken or worn out. After7 yrs of being replaced. 3 tanning beds down with no sign of fixing them. Its deplorable to see this once nice place run into the ground by poor corporation support. Management not at fault. All good people trying to make this club work with zero Support from Coporate. See the Oneida Planet fitness for how a fitness center should run 5 stars for that facility not directly owned by Planet Fitness

UPDATE:4/2/24, I had the unpleasant experience of having $49 taken out of my account. Last month my membership ended but I did not know that they were going to automatically renew it . They should send you an email a month in advance warning you of this so that you can make sure that your membership is canceled before the $49 is stolen from you. They refused to return my $49 even though my membership is canceled. THAT IS BAD BUSINESS/PUBLIC RELATIONS!
I come in and do my workout and there is no one around flexing in the mirror trying to impress me or constantly stepping in front of me lifting up the heaviest way possible trying to impress me. I do my workout and people stay out of my way. That's the way I like it.

This place is great. I’ve been coming here for 2 years. Mainly the new Hartford location. Time flys. Everyone that works here is always nice. I’ve experienced some decent growth at this gym. This will be my last week at any of the NY planet fitness. Moving my family to Arizona after thanksgiving. Thanks for a stress free experience.

Being a member at planet fitness has been such an outstanding experience! Canceling a gym membership should be aloud to be done online or over the phone. Its that simple. I was able to sign up completely online so there is no good reason I shouldnt be able to cancel my membership in the same way.

Great variety of machines here. Bathrooms are a little tight but, overall, it's a great gym. Rivals the ones I go to at home (I'm from Richmond,VA). When I'm in the area I get a workout and a shower. On a side note the staff is very nice here. Would definitely recommend. 💪😎👌

I pay for the black card because I enjoy the hydro massage after a rigorous work out - every time I go to the North Utica PF, the hydro massage beds are not in service - I expect to get what I pay for and what’s included in the advertisement of what I pay for - instead, I’m offered coins for incredibly uncomfortable massage chairs. Get with the program North Utica PF !
