The gym itself is fine but the memberships are scummy. I bought a one month no contract membership for $50 on July 2nd, then I saw on my credit card bill that Powerhouse made unauthorized charges of $50 in August and September. These charges are now disputed and I blocked this gym from future transactions on my credit card, but let this be a lesson for people in the future who want a membership from this gym: if you plan on doing a single month no contact membership, pay in cash or they will make future unauthorized charges to your card. When you call the front desk about the charges, they give the email of the manager 'Giuseppe' but he will not email you back. You can ask the front desk to have the manager call you and he will not respond. You can leave messages on the Powerhouse answering machine about the unauthorized charges and no one will call you back. This sucks because I really enjoyed this gym and I liked giving them my business. There's no reason to try an extort a supportive customer, that's really low, Powerhouse.

I’ve been a member of Powerhouse Gym East Fishkill since 2020, and in that time the gym has only continued to improve year after year. From the upgraded equipment to the added leg room in 2021, it’s clear that the owners and staff are dedicated to creating the best possible training environment.

The staff is always welcoming, treating you like family the moment you walk in. They’re genuinely happy to help, answer questions, and make sure you have what you need for a great workout. Beyond the gym floor, the wide selection of merchandise, protein shake bar, and ready-to-go meal preps add a level of convenience and quality you don’t find everywhere.

Since joining, I’ve made countless friends and grown tremendously in both confidence and strength. The community here is incredible most members are more than willing to give a spot or share tips if you ask. Any machines that go out of order are usually repaired within the week, often with new pads, which shows the attention to detail in keeping the gym in top shape. And the fact that they’re even open on holidays shows just how much they care about their members.

Overall, Powerhouse Gym East Fishkill has been nothing short of amazing. Between the environment, the staff, and the community, it’s truly one of the best gyms around.

As far as the gym goes I really enjoyed when I used to work out at Powerhouse. However, I only signed up for a 1 month no contract membership and they keep charging me $50 a month. The manager refuses to get back to me and I'm furious. I am struggling to get a job and I already have bills I need to pay every month, I don't need these extra $50 charges on my bill when I could be using that money to buy groceries.

When can I speak to a manager to get my $100 back? The front desk told me the manager would get back yo me but it has been 3 days and I've not received a response. Powerhouse Gym East Fishkill is a fine gym.
I do like the Arsenal equipment they have, the style of belt squat and the Nautilus glute drive. There is a whole room of Rogue squat racks, plates and a deadlift platform for powerlifting. There are plenty of plates and bars (including a safety squat bar) and multiple sets of dumbbell weights including kettlebells. PHG East Fishkill is relatively clean and well organized/neat, well stocked with cleaning spray and tissue for wiping down equipment. The best thing about it, honestly, is that it is so close and that's very important to me so I'm choosing to deal with certain things.

1. The HVAC situation is hit-and- miss and while I understand the building isn't owned by PHG East Fishkill and therefore not under their control, it is challenging. Sometimes in summer months with the garage door open, you have to train while dealing with heat, humidity (slick floors and equipment) as well as biting insects. Definitely in the winter, you can expect it to be freezing. The yoga room upstairs is basically unusable.

2. Repairs to broken equipment does take time but eventually it happens. Currently, there are some floor tiles coming up that pose a tripping danger and I have mentioned it to management a few times but nothing has been done.

3. The locker room and bathroom situation is less than ideal but they are always clean and well stocked.

4. I miss being at a gym with a dedicated landmine setup (and I've requested this multiple times) and I really miss being at a gym with a sauna.

Basically, I'm at PHG East Fishkill because it's close and I can get the job done there without too much frustration.

Been going here for 2 years but for some reason this summer they now decide on some days to just not have the AC on and open the garage at front that lets the hot air in. Makes the workout conditions in the gym unbearable. The moisture builds up on the floor and it becomes slick and actually dangerous depending on what you’re doing. And unless your doing very little movement your going to sweat from the slightest exertion. The temperature is at 75 sometimes which is crazy for a gym. I now have to rotate between this gym and planet fitness depending on if powerhouses workout conditions are actually bearable on that given day. My suggestion is if you’re going to signup wait for winter.

By far one of the best gyms I’ve ever been to, they have the best Arsenal equipment which you won’t find anywhere! The shakes are amazing and the gym layout is perfect, I love how the leg room and power training room is separate from the main floor and the cardio floor is great! The people here truly make you feel welcomed from the moment you walk in definitely will recommend this gym to all my friends and family

I can’t say enough good things about this gym! I’ve been a member since 2020. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by amazing people who genuinely care about your fitness journey. The facility is always spotlessly clean, and the atmosphere is so welcoming. The Hummus fit food is incredible – healthy, delicious, and packed with all the nutrients you need. And the shakes? Absolutely amazing – a perfect post-workout treat! The staff here are top-notch, always friendly, helpful, and motivated to help you succeed. The owners are truly invested in creating a positive, supportive environment. Attempted to cancel when my wife got pregnant. Was continuously called by their automated billing in the following months and was charged $400 (but my wife wasn't)
Extremely unhelpful and predatory billing practices. Avoid.

Update: was billed an additional $25 a week after management told me they had cancelled my account. Thieves.

Update 2: went to gym, found out I was lied to and that they auto-renewed my membership after saying it was cancelled

Awesome fitness gym friendly staff. Layout is strange at first but you get use to it. Has a great cardio floor, gym lifting sections and boxing area. Clean gym and frequently updated equipment which you don’t see at rival gyms. My wife loves the classes and the personal fitness trainers as well. Big fan of the supplements section and juice bar.

Cleanest gym you will ever see no down machines all weights racked and where they belong! I’m a 40 year gym rat and have been in the best and the worst gyms from Brooklyn to Brewster and I HAVE TO SAY THIS IS TOP 3 ALL TIME! Staff is accessible and extremely helpful you will see the owners there all the time which as you know this is very rare at gyms. If you’re a gym rat trading for size or just into staying fit you have to try this place I’m not kidding place is perfect . PLUS PRE N POST WORKOUT PERSON THIS GYM HAS SOMETHING FOR YOU FOOD IS FRESH AND DRINKS COLD ! Give it a shot you will see how bad the other spots are when you see how Gus can be and supposed to be !! I've been a member of Powerhouse since early 2021 and they have never been anything but accommodating. The environment is perfect for a variety of workout styles, the staff is friendly, and it's truly a hidden gem of our area.

It's also super cool that there are fresh meals delivered every week. As a business owner who has limited time to meal prep, it's great to know that option is there in those cases where time wasn't in my favor. Highly recommend.

The facilities are top-notch – always clean, well-maintained, and equipped with everything I need for a great workout. The staff is incredibly friendly (especially Brianna) knowledgeable, always willing to help or answer any questions! 10/10 would recommend.

Powerhouse Gym East Fishkill is a great facility along with a wonderful staff. Please keep in mind a lot of those awful reviews are false, and are only written from their personal views or a one time bad experience that has caused them to falsely talk about a great gym !! The $50 MEMBERSHIP is only for NON COMMITMENT MEMBERSHIPS, but other than that their General membership is only $37 a month along with many other discounted memberships & prices!!

The facility is kept clean with Staff members going around hourly wiping down all equipment. Many of the reviews who have shown the ripped pads / upholstery are now REPLACED WITH NEW UPHOLSTERY.

Not sure what people expect when they walk into a gym & talk about “cliques” .. Most people come to work out with their friends, family or in groups which is normal so when people talk about “cliques”, I see that as NORMAL .. Not too sure what that’s about when you’re coming into a gym to focus on “YOURSELF”, and get a workout in not necessarily focusing on other people and what they do ?

DON’T BELIEVE a lot of these false reviews please experience the facility firsthand by coming into the gym and realizing it’s a nice family owned business who are great people, and doing a good deed to the Community running a wonderful business with amazing staff and an awesome facility that offers a workout space, meals, protein shakes, energy drinks, Posing room, and locker rooms & more

Gym has decent equipment, but not a friendly environment which is a deal breaker for me. A gym is where people come to get stronger, hopefully with an non-judgemental community that uplifts each other. It's not very welcoming to showcase political and religious preferences with signage all over the front desk area. Having those views is totally fine - but by showcasing very specific views in a public space... that is not inclusive to a broader community / can even be alienating. Not surprised to see so many reviews about this place being cliquey and I supposed they will stay that way as people will see these reviews and stay away unless they fit into that specific clique. That is a shame - it's time that we leave those views outside of the conversation and support our neighbors. Very strange to see this kind of place on a tech campus of all places...

I occasionally travel to Fishkill for work and this is my goto spot to get my workouts in. It’s a great spot and lives up to the Powerhouse name. I wish I lived closer so I could go more often. The employees are great, the equipment is always clean and working, and the shakes are incredible!

Before reading this review, remember that a regular membership is $50 a month. For the exorbitant pricing alone there should be more amenities offered than just a POSING ROOM!
I was a member of powerhouse gym for about a year and a half and I would've left after one week had it not been 5 minutes from my house. As a few reviews have mentioned, the environment at this gym is toxic and cliquey while the physical state of the gym was unkept and DISGUSTING.
The toxicity at this gym was absolutely outrageous. The employees were rude and completely disconnected from their job. More often than not the front desk workers were more interested in hanging out with their friends than doing their job. When they arenat the desk, but you are not in the clique, you are simply treated with distain. Moving on from the staff to the members. The members are apathetic, rude and judgey. If you DO decide to come to this gym, my recommendation is to be out of there by 11:00 am, because that is when the judgemental roid-heads, and pesty high school boys infiltrate the gym not allowing you to work out in peace. I will personally not include the two owners, Brett and Brian, in the maltreatment of the "mere mortals," as one reviewer said so perfectly, because they were both kind to me.
The physical state of the gym is utterly disgusting. I have never once seen it cleaned, there are rarely paper towels in the dispenser and not a single member wipes down the equipment. It's also important to pick machines with care because the leg curl may amputate your legs with its broken pin, the leg extention may bruise your legs with its exposed bar, and the torn padding on the benches, hack squat machine, and calf raise machine will tear up your skin. The only machines which are maintained are the ones used by the staff and their clique. The turf and floors are never cleaned, which I know because of the broken nails, wrappers and water bottles that remain lying around the gym for months. I also feel the need to add that their "mirrors" are reflective paper and distort your body and may leave you with an eating disorder.
This gym could have the potential to be great, if they regularly cleaned, fixed their equipment, hired new staff and changed their attitudes. Since I became a member at a new gym it is clear to me how poorly Powerhouse gym is maintained and how ridiculous the pricing is. for $20 a month now I get machines that work, MULTIPLE clean showers, a sauna, access to free classes, a clean environment and very friendly staff!

don’t waste your money here. As another review said it’s cliquey and not a welcoming environment at all. My friend is getting charged a random “maintenance fee” yet for the amount of money you pay you get broken equipment, broken doors, a septic tank that i assume is broken and makes the place smell, and rude employees.
Besides the few kind people behind the front desk my boyfriend and I had some odd experiences from immature staff members even down to trying to follow my social media. Weird.
It felt like we always had eyes on us while working out and we could feel certain staff members sitting there staring us down. we never felt comfortable and rushed a lot of our workouts because of the tense and uninviting environment. Truly disappointing because it could have been a great gym. Even through my noise cancellation headphones i can hear other members AND staff saying vulgar things about women and even women in the gym. As other reviews state, it’s also an insane scam money wise. Save your money and sanity and choose literally any other gym. Anyone I’ve talked to about this gym has nothing good to say about it.

Disappointing Experience: Clicky Environment, Rude Staff, and Exorbitant Pricing

As a member who recently experienced the services at Powerhouse I feel compelled to express my profound disappointment. What could have been an enjoyable experience turned into a nightmare due to the toxic atmosphere, disrespectful staff, and absurd pricing policies.

First and foremost, the environment is suffocatingly cliquey. It's apparent from the moment you walk in that certain members are treated with favoritism, while others are practically ignored... It's as if there's an invisible velvet rope separating the "elite" from the rest of us mere mortals. This created an uncomfortable tension that permeates every interaction, making outsiders feel unwelcome and unworthy of basic courtesy.

From the moment I approached the counter, I was met with condescension and disdain. It seems that unless you're part of the staff's inner circle of family or friends, you're treated like an inconvenience rather than a paying customer. Basic manners and professionalism are apparently optional here, reserved only for those lucky enough to be in the clique.

Furthermore, let's talk about the pricing. Ridiculous doesn't even begin to describe it. It's clear that the inflated prices are designed to cater exclusively to the privileged few who can afford to throw money around without a second thought. For the rest of us, it's nothing short of highway robbery.

In conclusion, my experience was nothing short of a disaster. The toxic, clicky environment, coupled with the rude and entitled staff, made for an utterly unpleasant visit. And let's not forget the insult added to injury with the outrageously high prices. Save yourself the headache and steer clear!

Nancy at the front desk was wonderful! I had a guess pass from a local hotel, and she gave me a quick guided tour to get me oriented. Really nice facility in an old IBM complex. Looks like a cool brewery next door and bakery. Will definitely come back when in the area.
