My experience at PYC has been truly exceptional. Every time I walk into class, I switch off my mind and simply enjoy the moment as I stretch and move my body. I always leave feeling so much better, and every instructor is wonderful. It has been one of the most joyful and rewarding experiences during my pregnancy. I highly recommend it!

I loved coming to classes here in my second and third trimester! Before starting here, I was experiencing a lot of pain related to pregnancy, and changing my workouts to something tailored to what my body was going through made a huge difference. Great, supportive atmosphere 🙏

Best thing I've done when I got pregnant was sign up for these yoga classes! All teachers are great but Deb in particular is AMAZING! The tools I learned in prenatal yoga made my birth experience easier both physically and mentally. As a bonus, I found a supportive community of incredible people on the same journey as I am. Could not recommend this center more!

I practiced prenatal yoga by taking online classes at the PYC throughout my pregnancy. The classes were pivotal in helping me achieve my ideal birth experience. I loved the “circle time” of each class which allows students to share their pregnancy-related concerns, physical ailments, and questions. I completed my prenatal yoga teacher training at the PYC which fully prepared me to safely teach prenatal yoga and gave me a deeper understanding of the pregnant body & physiological birth. I love the prenatal yoga center!

I absolutely LOVE the Prenatal Yoga Center! I recently moved to NYC from Los Angeles a few months ago and found out I was pregnant as soon as I arrived.
When I came to New York, I felt so alone because I didn't have community and was pregnant for the first time. PYC changed all of that! Through PYC, I met incredible new friends and mamas who were also going through similar journeys, which made me feel so seen and understood. Also, the classes are so informative, personalized, therapeutic, and restorative, especially Deb's classes!
I highly recommend the Prenatal Yoga Center for anyone looking to find a truly supportive community and to prepare their minds, bodies, hearts, and souls for birth and beyond!

Wow do I wish I found this yoga center for my first pregnancy! I'm currently 36 weeks pregnant with my second and this yoga center has helped me both physically and mentally. Deb, Ellyn, and Jessica are a wealth of knowledge about pregnancy (and postpartum!).
I can't recommend this studio enough - as well as their online resources, podcasts, and birthing classes!

The most amazing prenatal yoga, with the best community! I was recommended PYC from my yoga teacher in London before moving to NY while pregnant and I’m so grateful to have found Deb and this center! I’ve been doing classes from 18 weeks pregnant through to the end , the classes are so informative, and you always leave feeling better than you came in - plus with lots of tips and exercises you can do at home to stay moving! I have also been listening to the Yoga Birth Baby podcast and have learnt so much and feel so much more prepared for birth and postpartum because of it. I’m excited to be able to come back with baby and stay part of the community.

What I wanted: yoga
What I got: 50%+ of class was sitting and listening to this lady yap! “Circle time” doesn’t need to be 30+ mins. This woman would make a better podcast host than a yoga instructor
The studio/instructor is also super disorganized - they don’t cap class sizes so they just pack you in, and there’s no focus on class starting or ending on time
Maybe other people like this format and don’t mind, but I think you can get a lot more out of 90 mins elsewhere

I had such a great experience at PYC!
I started going after developing some SI paint around week 14 and continued though birth. I credit PYC and all the amazing instructors with a mostly pain free pregnancy and an quick recovery. I would recommend these classes to anyone who asks (and even people who don't ask)!

I found PYC towards the end of my second trimester and attended the yoga classes as often as I could, as they were the biggest help during my pregnancy. I ended up taking classes of almost all instructors at PYC and all of them are caring, encouraging, and very knowledgeable. What I learned at PYC about anatomy and my habits has been super helpful in dealing with my pregnancy discomfort, during labor, and now in my recovery. I also was able to meet and connect with a bunch of wonderful expecting moms with due dates close to mine, who have been a huge support. Cannot recommend PYC enough. Go if you have the chance.

PYC has been my second home since I was 15 weeks along and throughout my entire pregnancy. As a yoga teacher myself, I can confidently say that this is the most high-quality prenatal yoga around. Another important part of this studio is the amazing community-- I have made so many friends through going to in-person classes. And lastly, the studio's podcast "Yoga, Birth, Babies" is a must listen for anyone who is pregnant. I learned so much from the podcast, and have found many of my service providers and birth team (including my midwife and doula) from the podcast. Huge thank you to Deb and the PYC team for everything you do.

PYC is an absolute treasure!! I went to my first class at 26 weeks, felt it was a little early, went to another class at 30 weeks, and then started to really go regularly the following week. I am just over 37 weeks now and can tell prenatal yoga is helping me a great deal.
Deb is wonderful, so compassionate, knowledgeable, loving, and grounding. I try to go to her classes twice a week and I will continue until I deliver. I have also taken classes with Ellyn, Lital, and Jessica, all of which are wonderful in their own way and bring different approaches to the classes. Every time I flip over in bed, I think about Lital’s lesson on knees and how to use them to your advantage… such a gift!
I have also taken some prenatal classes at PYC, including the Comforting Touch (Yiska is a dream come true and taught my husband and other partners to aid comfort in the prenatal and birthing process!), Childbirth Education (Ceridwen was a dream come true, as well, and I wish I could hug her right this second!!), Newborn Care and Lactation (this one was helpful, offering good insight and assurance of the choices my husband and I have made, — natural / homeopathic / minimalist route — but not as engaging as the other two), and then we are set to take Infant Safety & CPR this weekend!
The community we have at PYC is so supportive, loving, exciting, and fun. Since it is an independent yoga studio, the clientele is of a similar mindset and all-around loving and tender with one another. I am looking forward to doing the postnatal and baby and me classes once this little nugget makes its debut!!

I took prenatal yoga classes here throughout my pregnancy from 14-40 weeks and it was one of the best decisions. I learned so much from the instructors both to stay comfortable during pregnancy and to prepare for labor and birth. I took classes mostly with Ellen and Victoria who were incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, encouraging and inclusive. The group check-ins at the start of class were so helpful for many reasons, one being that it gave me a preview of what I might experience further along so I was able to know what was happening instead of panic Googling. There were tons of techniques I took away from class to help with various symptoms like hip and round ligament pain. I credit the skills and practice from my classes at PYC with my quick and smooth delivery. Thank you for creating this wonderful program and community!

I’m so glad I found PYC during my pregnancy. I started practicing prenatal yoga at PYC in my second trimester and it's been about 4 months now. It was helpful not only physically but also mentally, keeping me active and cheerful. Every instructor is an expert in prenatal yoga and pays close attention to the expecting moms in the class. I was also able to connect with other expecting moms, joining their community through PYC. I highly recommend trying their classes if you are an expecting mom.

I truly loved attending prenatal yoga classes here during the last 13 weeks of my second pregnancy. I was very sick during my second trimester, and just felt so much gratitude just to have the ability to do these classes and move my body. It is a warm, friendly, down-to-earth place. The owner, Deb, has created a very special environment. I have never felt less intimated in a New York City workout class.
The practice helped me prepare for labor both physically and mentally. I took classes twice a week with Deb, Victoria, and Ilana. They were all excellent teachers, and each brought a unique energy to the practice. My last yoga class was 2 days before I went into labor, and I teared up as I walked out (I had a feeling it would be my last one!). My first pregnancy was during COVID, and so I didn't get to experience "self-care" or community in this way, and it's a real treat. Thank you, PYC :)

I attended in-person prenatal yoga from ~25 weeks until my due date, starting with 1 session per week, and ending with 3 sessions per week for the last 6 weeks or so. It was worth every penny! Class always starts with a group check-in, which creates such a strong community because you get to see the same folks every week and hear how they're doing and watch them progress. Then there's a meditation to get you "in the zone," followed by a thorough flow (vinyasa?), then a few minutes of pelvic floor work (also woven throughout the yoga), and ending with a longer restful meditation. During the 90 minutes, there is SO much birth and body education, it's like paying for a birth prep class! The instructors repeat a lot of the same principles class after class so it really sticks in your brain- I was able to use SO many of the tools from class during the unmedicated parts of my birth, including an epidural-free pushing phase. PYC is a super inclusive environment and supports birthing people of ALL journies, and I credit so much of my positive birth experience to the prep work I did with Deb, Victoria, and Hanna. I'm looking forward to coming back for postnatal yoga and hope to see some of the friends I've made from prenatal!

I absolutely love this studio! I joined when I was in my second trimester and comfortably took classes into my third trimester. I now attend both postpartum and baby and me yoga! They have all the props you’ll need and offer a lot of education during the prenatal and postpartum period. Highly recommended ! My only complaint is that the postpartum yoga is only offered once a week during work hours so I won’t be able to continue attending the classes once I go back to work 😢.

The best part of my second pregnancy has been getting to practice yoga at PYC. The teachers are so knowledgeable, supportive and non judgmental! They curate classes on the spot to address issues students have that day. I struggled with tailbone pain that completely cleared up after several weeks under their attention!
Just as much as I’ve loved the yoga, I’ve loved being in a supportive, open and safe space with other pregnant women. If you are interested in building a community during your pregnancy, this is an easy, authentic and fun place to do it!!

I have joined the studio about a month ago when I was 16 weeks pregnant and keep coming 3 times a week. It has been a wonderful experience, the studio has a very welcoming atmosphere, the sessions are catered to the needs of each individual participant, even when there are many of them, which I absolutely love. I join in studio classes with Kyla and Deb - both very attentive, careful and friendly instructors, who welcome everyone to share their experiences regarding both physical pains that happen during pregnancy and any mental anxiety or doubts, and later help overcome those with yoga practice. I am very appreciative of the classes, I am new to NYC and being able to join a community of beautiful pregnant ladies and such inspiring instructors has helped me a lot. Thank you, PYC!

I joined class Newborn Care & Lactation, it was very bad experience, because they put us to sit on floor! For 3 hours sitting on floor and being in pain . Since I was 32 weeks pregnant and rest of group felt very uncomfortable! Even my husband could not sit on floor , he had to go and strech it was very uncomfortable . Anyone under normal state of mind would not put group of 10 pregnant women on wooden floor to sit and listen 3 hour lesson ! Disaster!! No chair what’s so ever . They gave us some pillow , which anyone who is pregnant or ever been pregnant will understand how painfull this experience was !!!

I have been absolutely loving the prenatal classes that I have been taking Live online as I live in NC. Despite that I am not in studio, I still feel like I have been supported as though I was. I am most impressed with the depth of the knowledge of all of the instructors regarding the body and that every single move is intentional to preparing for birth. I also love how they are available to ask questions, and are able to cater classes toward participants specific needs. I already feel more confident and adept in the birthing process just by what I have learned in these yoga classes. Highly recommend!

I honestly don't know why there aren't thousands of reviews for PYC because Deb has truly created a wonderful space for expecting & postpartum moms. All of the instructors are very well educated about the needs of the pregnant body and each class is 90 minutes of yoga, education, and community time to connect & learn. She offers classes 7 days per week via live stream & recorded if you can't make that time (fits every schedule). The pregnant body is more prone to injury so it is important to have an instructor that knows how to keep you safe so that you have a healthy pregnancy & postpartum recovery. I love that all of the instructors are constantly seeking to learn & to share that information with us. Throughout the class, instructors will modify poses for your specific trimester & personal needs to keep you safe & help you find relief. Deb also has an incredible podcast Yoga, Birth, Babies that is a wealth of free information for the expecting mom. There are lots of prenatal yoga classes & podcasts available but this is the very best! It is worth every penny! I have the unlimited plan & practice 4+ days per week but am working up to a daily practice. Well not required, you will definitely benefit from a couple of simple props - yoga mat, 2 blocks, a firm bolster, & a blanket or large towel (I use hugger mugger tapas ultra mat & bolster & 2 manduka cork blocks). PYC has changed my life! I feel strength in my pregnant body both mentally & physically & I have a connection to community in a time when pregnant women are so isolated & experiencing pregnancy milestones alone. I am so grateful for Deb & the wonderful team at PYC and I give them my highest recommendation! If you have any questions just reach out to the studio, everyone is so welcoming, helpful, & responsive! I hope to see you on the mat!

I couldn't have asked for a more positive experience surrounding the birth of my first child! I began taking several classes each week during the last trimester of my pregnancy and not only did it improve my physical well being but it also improved my emotional state. Each class incorporated an educational component which I found to be extremely helpful, especially for a first time mother. I consider myself blessed to have found the Prenatal Yoga Center and Deb as an instructor and educator. I currently reside in Westchester County and only wish we had access to such a wonderful resource!
