I’m so lucky to have to stumbled into the studio one day and couldn’t recommend it more.

First of all I love this place. Everyone has always been so nice. The studio is really cute. And you can’t beat the one on one training that they offer.

I’ve been working with Charlie for a while now and she’s honestly been a life saver. She has such a deep knowledge of movement and her background in so many disciplines really makes her an amazing instructor.

Whatever your goals or needs are I know they will help get you there. Just be ready to become obsessed with Pilates if you aren’t already.

I passed by this studio many times and finally took my first class in July. I have been looking for a studio that will help me get my body in better shape. I can’t believe how much my body has gotten stronger. I’ve been taking classes with Charlie every weekend. She’s amazing. She challenges me and shows me how much more my body is capable of. I recommend it to anybody who wants to move better and most importantly feel stronger.

I can't overstate how much Progressive Pilates has improved my mobility and my life. After a catastrophic injury, multiple surgeries, and years in physical therapy, I was still struggling to walk without pain. The holistic approach of Pilates and the compassionate, expert, and individualized sessions at the studio helped me regain the ability to walk and even run pain-free. Now my only pain comes from sore muscles after sessions! Thank you to Taylor, Lucy, and Mikayla, for all your work with me--see you again soon!

I’ve been going to Progressive Pilates Williamsburg off and on for the last 8 years. I’ve worked with so many wonderful instructors and my current Mariela is one of the best! I always leave feeling so much better than when I walked in. The studio is clean, comfortable and outfitted with everything that one may need to lengthen and strengthen. The owner Brynne is lovely and always makes me feel welcome. Pilates is the one thing I do for myself to ensure life long mobility and it’s worth every penny.

Progressive Pilates is the best. Working with Brynne was my first time ever doing Pilates and she is amazing. She was incredibly aware and in tune with my body. I also gained so much in terms of muscle activation that was totally unconscious before. For example, she had me lift my leg and brought it to my attention that I was also tightening my neck and shoulders! Crazy!

It’s a gorgeous space, the energy is very clean and the vibes are professional but super friendly.

I've also worked with Cristina and Charlie, who were also both awesome.

It's a great place and I have referred many of my patients, too. They always come back with glowing reviews!

This is a very special place. Kind and welcoming. Bright and relaxing. I've been going to Progressive since last September, working with the wonderful Cristina Rubio, and it has truly changed my life. Every session has been helpful, and Cristina is an incredibly patient, skilled, and intuitive instructor. Watching the other instructors I can see that they all share the same deep commitment to health and wellbeing. A hidden gem of real enlightenment in Williamsburg.

I came to Progressive completely new to pilates. Mikayla was incredibly patient and detailed with her cueing and critique. I learned so much and feel like I am finally activating/using my core correctly. I highly recommend!

where do i begin?!? when i arrived at this studio i was overweight, slouching, could barely touch my knees let alone my feet and was weak weak weak. in short, i had serious dad bod. after weekly practice at this studio, my whole body has changed. i did not realize that strengthening my core would help me walk better, swim better, bike better, and most importantly, snowboard better. i love to snowboard but before Pilates my body could never do what my mind wanted it to do. falling was very easy and painful. now my body self corrects while on the board without even thinking. i went from snowboarding a half day and being sore for days to having 13 days on the mountain this year with quick and easy recovery. and we are talking full days of consecutive riding... single black diamonds. I FREAKING LOVE PILATES.

I’ve been going to Progressive Pilates for over a year and absolutely love it. It completely transformed my posture, core strength and also made me a better runner (no injuries and I can now run faster!). Everyone in the studio is lovely, knowledgeable and patient, even if you can’t tell the difference between left and right (sorry Brynne \o/).
Run and book your session today to be a better and healthier version of yourself!

I cannot say enough good things about Progressive Pilates. The instructors are warm, adaptable, and incredibly knowledgeable. Since I began my pilates journey with them two years ago, I am stronger, move better, stand taller, and feel pilates has contributed to a much more positive mindset. I cannot recommend Progressive Pilates enough.

I’ve given some thought to this review. This is a very nice studio and the intro offer for individual classes is a great way to get a sense of this place. The teachers I had were very nice. I had an unfortunate experience while commuting to the studio where the trains completely stopped running at union square. It was nobody’s fault and the business charged me anyway, and while I understand people need to be paid for their time, the situation was not that I was hungover and didn’t show up, I was actually commuting there and had no way of getting there, a totally unforeseen (although not too unpredictable for the MTA sadly) experience. If I had been hit by bus would they have charged me as well? It just left a bad taste in my mouth. They did offer me a small discount but ultimately when it comes to business I don’t think I approved.

I started coming to this studio almost two years ago and have had nothing but great experiences since then. With changes to my work schedule, I've had to switch instructors a few times and each one that I've worked with has been an excellent, knowledgable, and fun trainer. They've helped me with everything from building muscle, to adjusting my posture, and rehabbing a couple mild injuries. The space is bright and clean and very comfortable. Their machines are all kept in great condition. Whether you've never tried pilates, or you've been doing it for years, Progressive has SO MUCH to offer you.

Progressive Pilates has been an indispensable part of my routine for several years. Each week I take both a mat class and do a personal session with Brynne, the owner.
I have gained a great deal of core strength which, after suffering a hernia from previous bad training methods, has been really important. I've also gotten more flexible.
With a fairly demanding office job that has me hunched over a laptop screen most days, Brynne's approach to pilates has me repaired and rejuvenated each week.
Highly recommended!

I train in this studio for almost 7 years and it's been amazing. I have herniated disc, and Brynne and Christina helped me go through 2 pregnancies with no spasm. I keep going there twice a week because it feel like the one thing I must do for my body. The studio is clean and pretty, the instructors are so professionals, to a rehabilitation level. This is not just another pilates studio!

I love the teachers here. They are so knowledgeable about the body and I feel like my sessions are both strengthening and therapeutic. And they really care about you and your progress. Seriously the best pilates studio I've run into in a long time - and I'm an acupuncturist so I'm very picky about bodywork:)

I've been coming to Progressive Pilates since day one, mainly because I would follow Brynne Billingsley, the founder, to the ends of the earth. Her knowledge of and respect for the body is immediately apparent to anyone who meets her. She's sensitive and nurturing, but unafraid to push you to become stronger, more flexible and more in tune with your own body. Over the three years she's been operating, she's accrued a stable of equally talented practitioners, all of whom share a deep wisdom of and reverence for the body's beauty, strength and resilience. The studio space is bright, airy and inviting - the sort of place I always look forward to visiting after a long day on my feet. A true haven.

After completing rehab for back surgery, I was advised by my surgical team to do Pilates to avoid future injury. I am a physician myself, and was skeptical, not knowing much about what Pilates even was. "It's totally worth the investment. All the orthopedists here do it," I was told at HSS. It turned out to be terrific advice. I have been a client of Progressive Pilates Wburg now for over 18 months. During this time, I have experienced a remarkable transition in my body. I have improved my core strength, general alignment, flexibility, and body awareness to well beyond my goals and expectations. I have gone from crouched, tight, and inactive post-surgical patient prone to frequent joint injuries, to a genrally fit and athletic person, and I genuinely ascribe much of the credit to my work here. Brynne and her team are amazing. I have had private sessions with nearly everybody who works there, and I have my preferences, but I have never had a bad session. Quite to the contrary, I am constantly being challenged in new ways. The instructors provide a great deal of individual attention to clients and they bring a variety of backgrounds and experiences that they incorporate into their teaching. Depending on your own needs and experience you may prefer the classes or the private sessions. I do both. The classes are excellent and surprisingly varied. They are a good way to ensure you are building and maintaining you core, pelvic, and glute strength on a regular basis, among other benefits. The private sessions are really excellent, and they incorporate the Cadillac, reformer, Wunda chair, and other equipment, and are highly individualized toward your personal needs and goals. I have been to many physical therapists through the years, and have never received the level of personalized attention and breadth of knowledge to address the needs of body mechanics than what I have had here. I occasionally take Pilates classes at Equinox, which I enjoy, but which also help me appreciate how carefully thought out the classes are at ppw, as well the small class size and personal attention you receive. Pilates is a great thing to do for yourself, and has enabled me to do so many other activities and avoid injury in a way I never anticipated.
