I decided to take this class with 3 of my guy friends and my sister so we could try something new. This was such a great experience from the beginning till the end. When we walked in, we were greeted by the manager Melaina with a smile and great energy. She informed us on how the class was going to go and some expectations. She made us feel comfortable immediately. We were then greeted by our instructor Sara who also made us feel welcomed and introduced herself to each one of us individually. She had the room set up and made sure we were taken care of. Her energy was great, instruction was clear, music was perfect and it was a perfect amount of modeling what to do and going around to help correct anyone who needed some help. This was a unique but great workout. My friends and I walked out of there laughing from having fun and in some pain haha. We will be coming back for more and trying the other formats.

The general manager, Malena (not sure if I spelled it right, I'm sorry 😅), and the instructor, Erika, were so nice and welcoming and encouraging. The whole vibe was so chill and calm and friendly. It completely eased any nerves I had and made me feel comfortable right away. I booked a free class through a Facebook ad, and I'm so glad I did. It was a great class. There was no pressure, and Erika explained everything so well while still keeping the class moving along at a good pace. The class was perfectly structured to give you a great full body workout, including warm up and cool down, whole also giving you a taste of what their different classes have to offer, all within 30 minutes. It's a bit of a trip from my house but close enough to my job and is actually on my route home that I could make a stop after work for a class. 100% will be returning.

I had a wonderful 2 years with this studio in and am very sad to leave it as I’m moving out of state. I wanted to shout out my very favorite instructors who were Hailey (amazing sense of rhythm/flow) and Erika and Iliana who have just the most motivating attitudes. The ladies behind the desk are always in friendly spirits and there is great emphasis on strength and listening to your body in every class.

Although I originally did not have the best experience with Pure Barre, this location in particular, I feel like the representatives righted the situation. I still think that the late rule is far-fetched (if you’re 5 minutes late they won’t let you in the class, which side note, my first class I made it within that timeframe and was still turned away) and I also think it’s overpriced (that’s what ClassPass is for) though again is it not ridiculous that if you’re 5 minutes late, and they turn you away- you not only waste the credits you spent on the class, they will also charge you a fee as well. They really know how to capitalize off of their customers.

That all being said, I did enjoy the workout. I will say they move through the movements very quick and don’t really explain things- you just have to learn as you go. I would come back again now that I know the ins and outs of how everything works, just make sure to get there very early if you can!

I really enjoyed my class with Alex at Pure Barre Cobble Hill! She was extremely descriptive of the moves which made it user friendly for all levels. The class was appropriately challenging and she gave modifications when needed. She was also very involved and gave feedback to make sure you were getting the most from your workout. I signed up through ClassPass to do a Pure Barre Express - 30 minutes class which was more focused on Core. This was very beginner friendly, the instructor, Summer, was very personable and offered modifications to the exercise if needed. I really enjoyed it, was definitely sore the next day but worth it.

I’ve been going to this studio for almost as many years as it’s been open on Court. Pre-covid I had a yearly membership and worked out 4-5 times a week, now I go about once a week. Many of the instructors who taught here before March 2020 have left and the clientele seems to have changed as well, but it is as welcoming and warm a community as ever. The teachers are highly trained, super friendly and motivating. Big shoutout to the awesome Emily, Summer and Jess! Classes are fun and energizing, the soundtracks are invigorating, and the Classic routine is a really great way to do low-impact resistance training that especially targets thighs and seat. Empower is for people who crave a more aerobic (and squat-heavy) form of exercise and Reform is fantastic for strengthening the core. If you’ve been curious about checking out barre I highly recommend giving this studio a try. Don’t be intimidated by what may seem like a difficult workout at first. You’ll get a handle on the routine after two classes. Some of the people who train here are dancers or yoga teachers and are clearly in top shape, but there’s a lot of diversity in the room when it comes to body types and levels, which is nice. The instructors always offer alternatives and are very sensitive to people’s injuries. Don’t be afraid to let them know if you have an injury — barre is fairly gentle but isometric movements can cause stress on the joints and muscle spasms so better safe than sorry! The studio often runs good specials on packages and memberships, and if you sign up for emails you may get occasional offers for a free class. I only wish PBCH expanded some of its hours to resemble the pre-pandemic schedule, when they had early morning classes and more options in the afternoon 🙏🏻

I really enjoyed my class there. The welcome area was clean and the people were friendly, which helps when it’s one of your first classes. The class was challenging and the teacher (Emily, I think?) was so attentive. She noted my injuries (bad knee) and gave me an alternate series of moves when my knee started to bother me so I could continue to work the targeted muscle groups. I work out pretty consistently but barre is new to me and a great addition to my regime as this class is an awesome fast paced, total body workout. I can’t wait for my next class!

I’m quite new to working out but I love the instructors at Pure Barre. They’re so kind and welcoming melting away all your insecurities. After a class I am exhausted and ready for a small nap yet refreshed at the time. I’m not confident in my moves but I’m learning with the help of the friendly instructors. They guide you to have correct form so you can get the most of your workout.
I’m looking forward to seeing the changes in my physic.

The staff here is very pleasant and welcoming. As a black woman sometimes going into these spaces can be uncomfortable and intimidating as we generally feel like we don’t belong. However the staff here is amazing and treats everyone with grace. I have taken classes with Summer and Hailey both are experienced instructors who are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The environment is clean and sanitary. Its definitely been a pleasure coming to pure barre cobble hill not to mention my body is definitely looking and feeling so much better.

I may be biased but this is my favorite barre studio in NY. Not only is the studio massive with plenty of space to workout, but the staff and teachers are so nice and personable. They really make you feel apart of the community and get you motivated to give it your all in each workout (and they will make you sweat!). Their expertise in barre is truly unmatched and they have a variety in class styles and class times. Love Pure Barre! I struggled to find a class locally that was not only a great workout, but had engaging, encouraging instructors, and classes at convenient times that you didn’t have to book weeks in advance. This checked all boxes. The full body workout is challenging but you’ll see results! There’s people of all levels so you never feel judged if you can’t keep up. The instructors are super upbeat, learn your name, and offer encouragement and great hands on adjustments (if you want them to). Most importantly for me, the studio is large, so classes can be booked just minutes before they start - this allows so much flexibility to jump into a class if your schedule is hectic and always changing! Highly recommend!!!

This is long overdue - I love love love this studio! The workout is effective but more importantly, it’s consistently physically & mentally challenging, no matter how regularly I attend class. Pure Barre Cobble Hill is my happy place. I've been to many fitness studios in the city, and what makes this location stand out is how much the staff cares about its clients. They really take the time to get to know you. I am not the most coordinated person in the world, and the teachers are always so patient with me when it comes to learning the moves. Pure Barre has truly changed my body for the better - I am a runner and I always found myself in physical therapy because my glute and thigh muscles weren't strong enough and I ended up running with the pressure on my knees. After 30 PB classes, I'm finally able to run with my glutes and I haven't seen the physical therapist since. I also love that the studio participates in fun challenges to keep the clients motivated and they even have social events, like happy hours! My best advice when it comes to Pure Barre is to keep coming back - the first couple of classes may seem intimidating, but if you keep with it, you'll be amazed at what your body can do.

Really nice people and great instructors. However this is not low impact if you have any joint problems, especially because of the pace and large number of participants, the instructor doesn’t have time to give feedback or lower intensity suggestions. If you do these repetitive intense motions in the wrong position you’ll get injured and it’s not worth it.

This is a review for the account management and pricing. Loved the classes (although for the cost you aren't getting much).

I gave it a trial month, which I agreed to over text, so received no clarity on full membership pricing, when I would be charged, etc. I downloaded the app used for booking classes, which also doesn't allow you to see any information on your membership. You cannot cancel or change membership online or on the app. You are simply told to show up in person to discuss (which, for someone who is on the move a lot, this took quite a bit of arranging to be in the studio when I needed to be to try and get more details on my membership). When I thought my membership was coming to a close, I asked the studio to help me with canceling. I did show up 3 days before the end of my trial month. They said they couldn't do it there in person, AFTER all the efforts to try and figure this out. They said I could send an email to try and figure out my membership. I sent a text and an email to try and get this figured out. On the last day of my trial month, they informed me they charged me for another month, and would not be getting a refund because they already posted the charge, even though I informed them I would not be using the studio any longer and asked multiple times in a variety of methods to try and cancel.

This now feels like a total scam to suck TONS of money from people who are not aware of what they are signing up for, and then make it very unclear on how to avoid getting scammed further. Of course, I reported the charges to my CC company, and highly caution users of this studio before agreeing OVER TEXT to join.

Pure Barre Cobble Hill has legitimately changed my life. The instructors are so talented and experienced, and they not only remember you but really show they care about you while you're in the class. There's nothing better than getting a good callout in class for having good form or solid focus! I've never been able to stick with a workout my entire life, and after one Pure Barre class, I knew it was for me. I love that it's low impact (I have bad knee joints), that it's genuinely challenging without being impossible and that it makes you stronger and less prone to injury! I can't say enough good things about the Cobble Hill Pure Barre, but I will say that it's probably the best investment I've ever made in my body, facts!

Really good Barre class. Great option if you're looking for a challenging and/or unique workout. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Teachers tend to move quickly --- if you're just starting Barre classes, don't get discouraged. It's takes a class or two to get the hang of the movements and form. The teachers are good about correcting you politely, if needed.

Never have I felt the desire to workout every week, but then I found Pure Barre. Honestly changed my concept of working out and I actually look forward to the classes.

The Cobble Hill studio is really nice and spacious. It has 4 changing rooms (similar to dressing room style with curtains to close), a bathroom, lockers, and a decent sized area with clothes for sale. The studio has a ton of space, so much so that as of now I've never felt cramped in a class (have had anywhere between 5-20 people, depending on times/days).

The barretenders and teachers are wonderful - friendly and intense in classes (which makes all the difference, literally). I've felt welcome every time and everyone I encounter that works there is always so nice and happy to be there.

My only negatives are that it sometimes feels slightly muggy and not very cool temperature-wise in the studio (but you get past it and it's not a huge deal) and that the prices are steep. I know the area is expensive and rent is likely a lot, but $300 for a month of unlimited classes, it's a lot. Plus, they don't really have any specials other than a new client special ($150 for a month of unlimited classes), so that's unfortunate.

We are so lucky to have Purre Barre Brooklyn on Court Street. It is so close to home and there are no excuses to burn!! Tiffany the owner is so nice and she teaches too. The studio is gorgeous, very clean and really big. All levels are welcome and can be accommodated with is great. I always look forward to class. It is so much fun and the music is great. My only problem is that I wish I could go 5 days a week but work gets in the way!!
