Honestly, the equipment is nice, the gym is large and the place is clean. They have everything you could need for body building. Would be 5 stars except for the fact that you have to enter these stupid pods in order to enter or leave. You have to load their stupid app, which doesn't even work have the time, scan a code, and then enter these tiny airport style security pods. It's an annoying way to enter, but it's an absolutely stupid way to leave. I'm already in the gym, why do I have to scan my membership code again? Hopefully they'll remove these stupid things soon

Not a good value. I started my membership in 2023, and it was a new location with a good layout. The weight floor was more than suitable. It could get busy at times, but the value and kept-up machines and weights made it worth my money. Flash forward to 2025, and the gym is now owned by Pure Gym. The quality is falling off precipitously. Over the summer, the air conditioning failed and was not fixed for over 6 weeks. The location inside a new building is already falling apart. Pure Gym is enshittifying a once suitable experience. Machines aren't being kept up, probably a ruse to cynically shutter more locations.

As everyone else mentioned, the AC upstairs is not busssin at all. They got these fans and it’s not doing nothing for anybody however, let me add this: they also took away all the wiping wipes and the trash cans. Now there’s only one wipe station in the upstairs part of the gym, so people are less likely to wipe the machines down and it’s hot and sweaty here and it’s just more inconvenient. I gotta go all the way across the gym just to get a wipe to clean anything and then the wipes thing is always empty 😭 but I do love the workers they are so kind. Gian Piero is super awesome and the rest of the crew 💗
Edit: they’ve since fixed the AC and are currently renovating a bit and adding new machines. It’s a little weird with the new stuff they’re building still but this place is certainly improving! Shouts out to them for that. Can’t wait to see it fully completed and try the new machines. Changing my rating :)

EDIT: AC has been fixed for a couple weeks now. Much better. Now I'd appreciate it if they would refill the wipes. Multiple days there were no wipes, just a spray bottle and a box of disposable rags, which I understand - but then the rags ran out, and no one could wipe down their stations.
---
Wonderful system they've got here...
The ac on the first floor works great. The second floor, with all the weights, has a couple fans and unanswered prayers. It's ungodly hot and humid up there. Over a hundred people exerting themselves with no ac (and all windows closed so no real airflow) in already 90+ degree weather! It feels like it is genuinely 105 degrees in there!
At a certain point you have to close the gym and address whatever the issue is..someone is going to get hospitalized

IMPROVEMENTS: The AC is mostly fixed. Tolerable. The cleaning is hit or miss. Still buckets around for water leaks from AC presumably. They are getting ready to install the pods for 24 access. Might be better to get the place up to decent standards first. Don't blame the staff though. They are doing what they can. This is management and owners who really don't seem to care about their product or their customers.
UPDATE: avoid this gym at all costs. The staff are still super friendly, helpful and competent. However the new owners have given up on the facility. No AC for two months. It’s a health hazard. City needs to shut them down.
And yes it has gotten dirty at times and there are leaks everywhere. Huge slip hazards.
New owners, Pure Gym, have even removed the massage guns. For what reason??? Folks we are going backwards not forward.
Again, kudos to the staff who are trying to do their best considering the circumstances. I run a business. If these was my transition team’s work I would fire them.
A Fantastic Gym with an Outstanding Trainer
I originally signed up with Blink Williamsburg, but after a frustrating experience trying to find a qualified personal trainer, I decided to check out Blink Stuy Heights instead. It was the best decision I could have made.
From the moment I walked in, I received a warm welcome. The staff is friendly, professional, and always willing to help. They keep the gym spotless, and the machines are consistently well-maintained. While it can get busy at peak hours—especially when trying to snag a bench—it’s a great facility overall. Bonus points for the excellent massage guns, which work wonders after a tough workout. The gym members are diverse, respectful and friendly.
But the real highlight of my experience at Blink Stuy Heights is my personal trainer, Edward Louis-Charles. He’s not just a top-notch trainer but also a licensed massage therapist and professional dancer, bringing an incredible depth of knowledge to every session. Edward is both approachable and encouraging, but make no mistake—he’s tough! He challenges me to push my limits in the best way possible. His ability to pinpoint small adjustments that make a huge difference in my form and comfort is truly impressive.
If you're looking for a great gym and an exceptional trainer, I highly recommend Blink Stuy Heights—and if you want the best, ask for Edward!

A Patient Member's 5-Star Loyalty is Broken.
I am incredibly disappointed to be changing my original 5-star review to 1 star. I have been a patient and positive member—I even gave 5-star reviews to three different Blink locations because I genuinely loved the gym.
However, this Stuyvesant Heights location's rating has plummeted for one simple reason: the air conditioning on the second floor has been broken for over three months, turning the workout area into an unbearable sauna.
This single, unresolved issue forced me to seek out other Blink branches, which ultimately led to a frustrating customer service failure where I was denied entry over a simple app issue. For the full details of that final incident, you can find my 1-star review on the page for the Gates location. It was the last straw and has pushed my loyalty to the absolute breaking point.
It all started here. A gym's most basic responsibility is to provide a functional environment. For months, this location has failed at this, completely disregarding its members.

Yo the AC has been broken upstairs forever now. Plenty of people have already complained countless times as you can see from previous reviews, yet they CHOOSE to not do anything! This could be fixed in a day, just gotta call a repair guy, but they’d rather be cheapos… How about you refund every member their membership fee for the months it’s been broken, or should we all do some credit card disputes to make you wake up? It’s the summer after all…

Avoid Blank Fitness at Stuy Heights at all costs. The AC in the weight room has been broken for over a month with no repairs and no updates. It’s unbearably hot, the equipment is filthy, there are leaks from the ceiling, and broken machines stay that way for weeks. I literally almost passed out the last time I worked out there because of how hot it was. Like working out in a sauna.
And here’s the kicker: when you try to cancel because the gym isn’t even being maintained, they still charge you an extra pro-rated fee. See my attached screenshot. They literally make you pay more to escape their neglect. So pathetic.
They’ll probably reply here with a polite “we’re sorry” and “we're doing the best" message. Don’t believe it. They’ve done nothing to fix the problems and don't even open the windows. This is a complete waste of money and a total scam. I feel bad for the staff, they seem so frustrated as well. But the management doesn't care at all and it reflects in the gym. You've been warned. Please save your money!!

AC has not been working on the upper level for over 6 weeks now. I don’t understand how a gym can just ignore everyone’s complaints on here and reply back with the most generic AI generated responses. I have also submitted multiple requested to their customer service and not have had a reply yet.

🚨BEWARE🚨 This cursed gym WILL gaslight you if you complain. They respond to reviews to avoid fixing the real issues (see screenshots below)
It’s been 8+ weeks of hellish heat in this godforsaken place. I step in, fade into a haze, and pour sweat. Each workout tests the very limits of what the human body can withstand. I stagger toward the windows and bang like a caged animal, rabid for a single breath of fresh air, forgetting that every window is sealed shut. I stare at them blankly. The world beyond the glass is smothered in a fog. I write “SOS” with a shaky finger, but the message melts away before I can finish. It’s as if the gym itself is erasing my desperate cries for help.
Is there even a world outside of this place? I look around and see other alien bodies, red and slick with sweat, panting and wheezing in non-human ways.
Do I hear the distant hum of the heaters and hidden humidifiers? Surely not. Not on a 95 degree midsummer afternoon.
How long have I been here again? What workouts have I even done? I walk towards the staircase, barely conscious — each breath coating my saturated lungs with another layer of humidity and rot.
The world fades away and suddenly I’m on my walk home. What happened?
This place is NOT a gym. It’s an experiment.

This gym has completely failed its members this summer. The A/C has been off for weeks during one of the hottest stretches NYC has seen, and working out here feels unsafe and irresponsible. Not only is it miserable to exercise in the sweltering heat, but it also raises real health concerns—heat exhaustion and dehydration are not things a fitness facility should be risking for its paying members.
What’s worse is the response from management: endless “we’re looking into it” messages instead of actually fixing the problem. It’s clear they spend more time crafting excuses than making the gym a safe place to work out.
Members deserve better than being ignored and left to sweat it out in dangerous conditions. Until this is resolved, this gym is completely unworthy of your membership.
To the owner, please don't respond to this until you've fixed the situation. If you do, I'll know you didn't read this.

TL;DR - This gym is a medical & safety hazard. They turned off the AC and locked the windows.
When it first opened, this gym was pretty nice for a Blink gym. But this summer, they decided to shut the AC off. It’s been out for at least 6 weeks at this point (probably longer). They also have removed/disabled all the window latches so that you can’t let fresh air in. There are like 2 fans running, but it does nothing to the perceived temperature.
I feel like im cooking alive during my workouts and it’s almost impossible to push myself. The couple times i have, i have felt dizzy and light headed.
What’s crazy is the lower level is air conditioned fine, it’s only the weight room that has no AC.
There is NO excuse for the AC being out this long. I doubt it’s even broken. I suspect they are willfully keeping it off to save money during the hot months. But why they refuse to let us open the windows is beyond me. Pretty sure they are testing the waters to see what they can get away with.
It’s just a matter of time before someone has a heat stroke mid workout. This place is a lawsuit waiting to happen.

The AC being broken during a heatwave is just the most recent issue, but definitely not the first. This gym constantly takes forever to fix things. Machines stay broken for weeks, the bathrooms are a mess, there are leaks, and sometimes there’s not even running water. It’s a cycle that never ends.
The first warning sign was when they started restricting access to machines based on membership type. Equipment that used to be available to everyone is now locked unless you upgrade, which just makes people stop using it altogether. So now those machines are sitting there, untouched, all for the sake of making more money.
Now we’re stuck with out of order equipment, broken plumbing, machines you can’t even use depending on your membership, and no air conditioning while it’s over 90 degrees outside. But no matter what’s broken, they never miss a payment. That bill comes like clockwork every month.
There’s talk that PureGym is taking over. Hopefully that means better maintenance and actual accountability. But honestly, it’s hard to say.
This place feels like it’s being run for profit, not for people. Do better.

The quality has changed during the summer months. There’s less garbage cans and cans of sanitizing wipes. They’ve also moved the garbages and wipes to weird areas of the gym where it now feels out of reach. They’ve also moved upstairs has been without AC for over a week now. Perhaps 2 weeks. That was after months of the AC system leaking water through various parts of the gym. Several of the machines have been down for a while and the staff can never give you a clear answer on when the machines will be fixed. Which is kind of crazy bc this gym definitely is busier than the other two in the area (Gates & Knickerbocker). However the time it takes to repair things is ridiculous. Even the water pressure in the fountains took over a month to fix. That being said, the one pro about this gym is that it is very large in comparison and there are a lot of machines to use. With all the repairs that need to happen you now are getting a less crowded gym but at what expense? Especially 1-2 years since this gym opened.

THERES NO AC IN THE WEIGHT AREA. It’s a literal sauna even with the fans this is horrible conditions. This gym started off so well and quickly became the bottom barrel. I used to go to Knickerbocker which was crowded but immaculate and I also went to Gate which was crowded but still maintained. This one is close to me but for what was a promising space it has quickly been discarded. There’s literal holes in the wall by the women’s restroom and it’s scary to use when it’s not covered. Also they don’t have enough of the wipes stations nor do they keep soap and seat covers stocked. It’s time to do better and FIX THE AC.

All summer the air conditioning has been broken, and it’s way too hot. Yesterday my friend felt really dizzy and we had to leave — the same thing happened to me a few weeks ago! It’s impossible to train like this!
On top of that, most of the machines are constantly covered in other people’s sweat, which is both disgusting and unhygienic. Clearly, there’s a serious lack of basic maintenance and cleanliness. This needs to be addressed immediately.

I’ve been going to this Blink location for almost 2 years now and it used to work pretty fine, but around 2 months ago things started to change for the bad. The air conditioner on the second level is broken for a while now and staff don’t know when they’ll change it because probably the manager didn’t tell them - it’s summer. It’s been so hot upstairs. Then today I got to the gym around 6:20pm and the front desk girl didn’t let me work out because she said that she was left alone to close the gym. On
Sundays the place is supposed to close at 7pm so I planned my day to get there later but I had to come back home without working out because she didn’t let me in. She clearly did it because she was left there with too many things to do, when the manager should’ve let another coworker to help her out. I hope these issues stop happening and that the gym comes back to work as it used to. It’s been bad for both clients and staff.

I’ve been a member of this gym since it first opened, and it’s really disappointing to see how quickly it’s gone downhill in just two years. Today (7/27), I arrived around 6 PM — well within the posted hours since the gym closes at 7 — and found the doors locked. I called, and the receptionist told me they were short-staffed and it could be dangerous to let more people in. I totally get that things happen, but if you’re going to close early, there should be some kind of notice. That’s just basic respect for your members’ time.
I just needed a quick cardio session — in and out — and was turned away with no warning. It’s really frustrating.
This isn’t the first issue, either. Just last week, the AC wasn’t working and it was unbearably hot inside. There are also constant leaks from the ceiling, which is honestly a safety hazard. The staff are generally friendly, which I appreciate, but today’s experience was really not okay. Shutting members out early without any heads-up isn’t acceptable. I really hope management starts taking better care of the facility and communicates more clearly going forward.

Good gym. AC has been off for two months. It’s a choice. It doesn’t take two months to repair. They just don’t want to.
They also ripped the handles off the windows and sealed them all shut, to ensure the upstairs stays a greenhouse.
I think they’re running an experiment.
If you’re strong enough, it’s a good gym. Until the city inevitably shuts them down.

I've always considered this one of the best Blink locations I’ve been to. Unfortunately, the overall experience has declined recently. Several pieces of equipment have been out of order for a while, and repairs seem to take much longer than they should. This is a great location compared to the other Blink locations—not super crowded during good times, good equipment and spread.
My major issue is the lack of equipment now that they’ve locked up 10+ machines for the eGym thing they’re trying to sell. For the first month or so I was able to use those machines on guest mode and now I can’t unless I cough up $10 extra monthly on top of my membership. Now there’s effectively only one leg curl, one leg extension, one regular leg press. This leads to multiple people waiting in lines and rotating out the same machines since they can’t use these eGym machines. Really sucks that Blink is doing this in the middle of inflation and an upcoming recession and limiting access to 10+ machines for a tracking service no one really wants to use. I would rather they just replace those with regular machines or give guest mode back since those signs are still up everywhere saying guest mode is an option and people are still confused trying to use them. Additionally machines break here a lot and take a long time to replace or fix.
Edit, took off another star for constant broken machines, and now the AC won’t work and is leaking everywhere. Working out on the second floor is like working out in a swamp. Bffr guys, can we not fix this?

After working out i went to the locker room to find a guy going through my bag at my locker (i didnt had a lock) I stop him, check he didnt take anything and he went away. I went to the frontdesk to report it. They broght the manager at that moment. He asked me to file a report or if I wanted to call the Police.
I told him i dont need a report i can tell exactly who it was and just wanted to make sure this is not going to happen in the future. I told him i can point at him which he seemed a bit apprenhensive about it but i push for him to come with me and look for the guy in case he was at the gym. He wasn’t anymore, so the manager asked me again to just file a report.
I feel it would be so easy to find out exactly who he is as there is a camera in the front desk and he walk out 1 minute before i talked to frontdesk and i can point out exactly who it was as everyone has to come in and scan their membership.
Overall the poor review is
1- people going through my bag
2- lack of interest from the staff to find out exactly who it was and take action. Because of this i am sure this is going to happen again to someone else.

I am reaching out once again to request the cancellation of my membership. I no longer reside in New York City, and despite my previous requests to Benson Anwuri directly to his email over the past month, I am still being charged.
I kindly ask that Benson Anwuri process the cancellation and refund me immediately as he has promised and confirm in writing that my membership has been terminated to avoid any further charges. If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will have no choice but to explore legal options.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

BEST BLINK EVER! It’s very spacious compared to other gyms in the city, and kept clean. Gianni is #1 manager, Benson, Daniella, Jennifer are so lovely, the entire staff are fit as HeLl and friendly. 10/10 recommend.

Overcrowded, no barbells, no benches, every machine is taken. I’m pretty sure people are stealing the barbells and blink isn’t replacing them. There aren’t enough barbells on the floor for the amount of missing weights.

Great for a commercial gym, good variety and condition of machines and friendly staff. A slight ding for the kinds of characters that work out here though and the weights they like to leave wherever they please. Some of the snacks they offer for purchase are also very mediocre. State of the bathrooms is hit or miss.

Unexpectedly a very good Blink. One of the better, if not the best, locations I’ve been to in Brooklyn.
Super spacious, tons of clean equipment and a diverse mix of gym-goers for the area. They also just replaced the older (perhaps faulty?) percussive guns in the ‘stretch’ area which is a great item to have.
Wish they had more slat treadmills but hey, at least they have two!

I’m going to sign up but I totally agree with other folks: the music is too damn loud.
If you want to go to this gym you should bring noise cancelling headphones with your own music cranked.
Seriously, I just don’t get it. A whole bunch of people have complained, and I’m sure you’re losing customers because of it, but these guys can’t lower the volume a couple of notches?

Blink stuy Heights is my go-to gym it's definitely better than my other surroundings, gyms due to overcrowded. All at stuy heights are there to do what we all are there for and not just to chit chat or blog every workout. I would rather drive the extra 20 minutes and stay away from all blinks on Roosevelt Ave

The gym itself is generally clean and spacious, but I agree with the reviews that the music is too loud even with noise cancelling headphones. More annoying, though, is that some pieces of equipment (hip thrust machine, smith machine) are more in demand than others and people seem to have no problem spending 20 - 40 minutes taking up one machine. Annoying to spend time waiting instead of working out, there really should be 2 of some of the more popular machines. Also, I am 5'3 and too short for a surprising amount of the equipment. The benches are slightly taller than at my past 3 or 4 gyms. Wish they had thought put the equipment better

Upon joining this gym, my expectations were modest at best. What awaited me, however, was an environment that not only shined in its cleanliness and uncrowded setting, but also the encounter of an exceptional personal trainer, Anna Kadinoff.
Anna is the heartbeat of my gym experience. From our very first session, she tuned in to my fitness aspirations with the focus and precision of a seasoned pro. Anna doesn't just create workout plans; she crafts personalized fitness journeys. With each session, her dedication is evident as she tailors the intensity and variety of exercises to not just challenge me, but also to ensure I remain engaged and motivated.
What truly sets Anna apart is her infectious enthusiasm and genuine commitment to my goals. She’s more than a trainer; she's a relentless cheerleader who doesn’t let setbacks become roadblocks. Her approach isn’t just about pushing limits; it’s about recognizing when to adapt and recalibrate, ensuring that 'too much' never becomes overwhelming. I couldn’t recommend her more.

Honestly this location has to be the best blink location I’ve ever gone too in NYC 🤩 amazing job on this new location the manager and the team was very welcoming and positive I love the energy that came from them. 🙌🏼⚡️ The aesthetics of this location is 10/10 🤩 love it!
Update: Please fix your equipment why is it taking more than a month to fix something that is brand new beats me and your AC unit is terrible to properly ventilation, if this goes on I could see this location going bad just like Marcy Ave over the years.
As someone that works for a private company that gets contracted by Fortune 500 companies the managers are not the problem their superiors are, it’s quite upsetting that there is no consistency & your retention is extremely high that says a lot given that this “BLINK” of a company was founded on smiles.
Overall I hope this changes!

This Brooklyn location is truly exceptional and deserves to be the flagship of the chain. The staff here are consistently friendly and helpful, always sporting smiles that can turn a workout session around. Their positive energy is infectious and keeps me motivated, even on days when I don't feel like hitting the gym. Unlike other gyms, the managers at this location are truly outstanding, leading by example as most of the staff are regular gym-goers themselves. It's inspiring to be in a gym where the staff are actively engaged in fitness.
I consider this Blink Fitness to be the best in Brooklyn for several reasons. It is always impeccably clean, unlike some other gyms that can be a bit unpleasant. The spacious layout, new equipment, and incredible staff make every visit a pleasure. The level of service and support provided by the team here sets a high standard that other Blink locations should strive to emulate. It feels like a community here, reminiscent of the camaraderie found in the TV show "Cheers," but in a gym setting.

I've been to a few Blink locations in Brooklyn and this one by far has the best layout. There are 2 floors. Lower level is the cardio and stretching area. Upstairs level is the weight area. There are 4 dedicated squat racks, 3 bench press (flat), 1 incline bench press, 1 hack squat, and 2 leg press machines. You will find the usual machines that you will find in any other gym. I primarily go in the morning and it usually isn't too crowded.

Joining Blink’s PT program has been a transformative experience, thanks to my exceptional personal trainer, Taylor S. Each session with her feels like a friendly hangout, yet we accomplish so much. Taylor’s expertise in ensuring the correct stance and technique guarantees maximum results from each workout.
She excels in posture correction and rehabilitating atrophied muscles, truly making her a gem in the fitness industry. The staff at Blink are equally commendable, offering kindness and amazing amenities like showers and Thera guns and very clean equipment.
Considering the quality of personal training and facilities, the membership is surprisingly affordable. I wholeheartedly recommend Taylor’s PT sessions for a life-changing fitness journey.

The gym is nice and pleasant, everything is clean and new and works well. My complaint is that the music is way too loud! Many other reviewers have mentioned this as well, so I know it's not just me. Picture this: you're trying to get a workout in, and the gym is pumping in the loudest music you've ever heard, and to make matters even worse it's something awful like the Chainsmokers. My music is on 10/10 volume, with noise cancelling on, and all I can hear is horrible pop music being played louder than any nearby club plays their music. I mentioned it to the front desk and they told me that Blink corporate decides on the playlist and the volume level? Not sure how believable that is, but if anyone at Blink corporate is reading this: you've been ruining my workouts, please make it stop.

Every time I come and think the music can’t possibly get louder and it does. My otherwise pleasant experience here is completely ruined by this.
I’ve never experienced such an upsetting and unnecessary distraction at the gym. Don’t expect to be able to clearly hear your own music/tv/podcasts even with noise cancelling headphones.

I walked into the new gym with low expectations but was completely delighted at the orderly & cleanliness, machine guns, egym equipment, & few people.
The real reason I’m so thrilled to be at this gym is because of Anna. She listens to your needs attentively & comes up with a game plan to help you achieve your goals. She shows she actually cares through the effort she puts in with you. She also has a bubbly personality that sets you in a positive mood and pushes you to reach your goals and modifies along the way if it really is too much to do. But she doesn’t let you just give up which I absolutely love.
If you’re looking for a personal trainer, or even not looking for one (I wasn’t), definitely ask for Anna & see how she can elevate your experience at the gym & help you get to the finish line of your fitness goals!

I’ve been eagerly waiting for this one to open as it’s a five minute walk from my place. I’ve always joined and then not went to gyms out of pure laziness. I don’t have a lot of experience with other gyms to compare this one to, but I love this one. Staff is awesome and new equipment is amazing compared to some of the other Brooklyn locations.
I’ve submitted some feedback via email with no response: the music is way too loud, to the point where I can’t hear my own when working out. Additionally both myself and others keep bringing weights down to the functional room and/or mats up to the weight room. It would make a lot more sense to have a set of weights and mats on each level. Is there someone who can help address these concerns? Thanks! 🙏🏻

Clean new gym, definitely above a few of the other Blinks. But I've checked in without anyone at the desk a few times, and the music is so loud I might get new headphones just so it cancels out what they have blaring. Not even that it's bad music, I've just never been in any gym where it's so loud I can hear it past my headphones 😅 hopefully they turn it down

When I first walked in and saw all the new machines and weights, I felt like a kid on Christmas. This was the first Blink I been to that comes close to gym like Crunch, Retro etc... From not only having 2 weighted leg press but the first Blink I been to with a Hack Squat machine. And yes I know because it's new, they have the up to date machines. But I will tell you if you go to this Blink, it will be hard to go back to the older ones. They even have calibration machines that you can use to test your strength. If you are a person like me that doesn't mind traveling a bit to go to the gym. I highly recommend this Blink.
