I’m getting older and wanted to finally do something just for me and my health this year. Everything I’ve read about longevity points to the importance of weight training, so I decided to give it a try. It was more money than I initially wanted to spend, but I told myself it would be a gift to my future self — and I’m so glad I did.
I started working with Emily Franklin at PWR NYC, planning to “just try it”… and now I’m completely hooked. Emily is lovely, inspiring, and an incredibly skilled teacher. She motivates me in exactly the right way and is wonderfully flexible with my tough schedule.
I’ve also added a weekend weight class with Morgan, which has been the perfect complement to my private sessions. Morgan brings great energy and keeps the workouts fun and challenging.
The gym itself is inclusive, positive, and genuinely welcoming — every body truly feels at home here. I feel like I’ve joined a community, even a family, all working toward becoming stronger and healthier. I can’t recommend Emily, Morgan, or PWR NYC enough.

I've been working with Daniel and he is amazing! Being in the Senior age group, he has focused my workouts with weights, balance & stretching. I love understanding the importance of each move and how it effects my muscles ....Daniel explains the exercise with great visuals which really helps me move through the workout with enjoyment! And for once, I feel I am really getting my squats and dead lifts down correctly!! PWR NYC is a fresh clean space with new equipment and great choices of music! I would highly recommend PWR NYC for all ages and all levels of fitness.

PWR is awesome! I love having a private training gym where I can really focus on my progress without the distractions of a larger gym. And no need to wait for equipment! The studio is so well designed and fully stocked with everything you need for a solid workout.
I train with Morgan who is my absolute rock and has worked with me to build a personalized training plan. She is energetic, motivating, and challenging in the best way. She’s also very knowledgeable about form and really takes the time to ensure movements are done safely and effectively.
Highly recommend both Morgan and PWR!

David Kale and the team at PWR NYC are absolutely stellar. As a certified personal trainer myself, I have a very high bar when evaluating other trainers — and David exceeds it in every way. He’s helped me elevate both my overall functional fitness and my sport-specific performance and I am so grateful to be working with him.
From our first sessions, he quickly earned my total trust with his deep expertise, attentive listening, genuine empathy, and creative programming. His positivity is infectious, his coaching style motivating, and his care for the people he trains is 100% authentic.

After working out with Carolyn for many years, I just had my first session at the new PWR NYC studio. What a pleasure it was! Quiet and clean, it enhances the personalized service that Carolyn delivers. PWR NYC has more equipment than large national gyms that I have worked out in. The equipment is state of the art.
I also just enjoyed a small group fitness class with Morgan. The studio allowed movement between different stations, a full body work out with Morgan guiding everybody seamlessly through. Usually not a class person, as I feel l lose the workout if I am not in correct form, Morgan kept an eye on all participants and nobody felt lost. I will definitely add this into my weekly schedule

Such a great private training gym! Brand new equipment and just a super clean space, which is such a luxury for a NYC gym. I've been training with Emily for a while now, and she has literally been the only trainer I've ever been able to stick with for longer than a few months. I trained with her throughout my entire pregnancy (which was a ROUGH one). Throughout that entire time, she knew exactly when to push me and when I needed to take it easy but still move my body. Now that I'm postpartum, it's been great having her guide me in building my strength back up. She's an awesome, energetic trainer and makes it fun, but never at the expense of my workout (she is always on top of my form and reps... lol). Highly recommend!

Smart, dedicated, innovative, fun, intuitive, everything you would want in a personal trainer coupled with a down to earth and fun to be with personality. I’ve been active my entire adult life, but training with her changed everything. Cannot recommend herhighly enough. CAROLYN is excellent!

From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and motivated. Carolyn brings such amazing energy to every class — she somehow manages to push you without ever making you feel judged or overwhelmed. Her workouts are thoughtfully designed to challenge all levels, and she always offers modifications if you need them.
I’ve noticed such a difference in both my strength and confidence since joining. The studio is super clean, the vibe is positive and inclusive, and the community she’s built is just incredible. Whether you’re a fitness newbie or a seasoned gym-goer, this place is a gem!
