I’ve been a member at RAF for over a year and it has been the best experience in my whole fitness journey. RAF is not your average gym, it’s a community. You have folks from all different fitness levels working out together and motivating each other. The trainers are not only knowledgeable they genuinely care about your wellbeing. I’ve seen improvements in my physical, mental and emotional health. If you’re serious about putting in the work there’s no better place to start your journey!

My 15 year old son started with RAF this Fall and it’s been a terrific experience! Great trainers that are fully engaged. The group is also well organized and easy to work with. Beyond learning about weight training & conditioning, I can see the confidence boost my son has gained, big thanks to the encouragement of the trainers. We will be continuing in the Spring and likely adding my younger teenage son. Highly recommended RAF!

We cannot say enough wonderful things about RAF! Our 15-year-old daughter is having nothing but an absolutely fantastic experience with the high school training program. In just a few weeks, the wonderful trainers, with their innovative techniques and motivating ways, have truly made a positive impact on our daughter. The trainers are the perfect combination of demanding, kind, and inspiring. Our daughter wants to go to the gym and looks forward to every session. The variety of the classes from day to day are giving her a full body workout experience. Most importantly her time at this gym with these trainers is building her confidence and her heart. This has been an all around phenomenal experience and we are looking forward to continuing with RAF for many seasons to come.

I am a new member to RAF Fitness but so far it has been an incredible experience. I was contacted by Christine at RAF Fitness in regard to the October six-week challenge and due to her kindness and willingness to help me I eagerly signed up to become a member and enter the challenge. I have completed a handful of classes (semiprivate and group) and honestly, this gym is EXACTLY what I was looking for. I love that the focus is on strength training, and I love the circuit aspect to the classes. Thus far everyone has been so friendly, nice and helpful! I cannot wait to see how much stronger I will become, and I think RAF is a must attend gym for anyone looking to get stronger and leaner!

I started with RAF about a year ago and waited to write this review because in my experience gyms tend to overhype and underdeliver. RAF is the absolute opposite! The hype is there -- but they absolutely deliver on the results! If you put in the time and effort, you will watch your body transform in ways you never thought possible. The coaches create an environment that is welcoming but they will push you (in the best way) to meet or exceed your potential (because they know you have it!!). I am beyond grateful to be part of the RAF family (and thanks so much for adding the 5:30am Tuesday small class - my quads both love and hate you for it!)

Recovering from a difficult pregnancy and injury, I hadn't worked out in five years. I joined RAF Strength and Fitness feeling extremely vulnerable and longing for the confidence and strength working out once brought me. From the moment I walked through the doors, I felt at home. In my initial meeting, I was met by Christine with warmth and understanding. She walked me through the question I asked myself for so long, "where do I begin?"... I joined the semi-private classes, 2x a week to begin. Their class schedule fit with the schedule of this busy working mom. I was extremely scared and nervous stepping back into the gym for my first class. Mike, John, Christine, & Kenny - to name a few - of their wonderful team helped make this transition feel like adjusting the focus of a lens. They are so encouraging and supportive and didn't make me feel ashamed for needing modifications. Christine takes the time to show each series of exercises and always gives me grace when I need her to show me again. Class by class and rep by rep, I'm getting stronger. The members of the gym are also so supportive. Honestly the atmosphere at RAF is very much giving "friends that become family." I couldn't recommend this gym more. I love it here. Nothing changes if nothing changes.

I started at Raf about 1 year ago and couldn't be happier. This place is not only a gym but also a community. Everyone one is so supportive from the coaches to the members. Joining Raf is one of the better choices that I have made. The coaches are always checking your form making sure you are doing the exercise correctly and sometimes giving you that extra push and that we all need at times. This place is Top Notch. Don't hesitate giving them a try.

RAF is a fantastic gym. Everyone here is so nice and encouraging. The whole team is very positive and really takes the time to work with you to meet your health and body goals. I have enjoyed working with my trainer Christine. Every time I leave the gym I feel very motivated and excited for the next session. I would highly recommend this gym. I would also like to mention that my son has been doing the teenage classes for a while and really enjoys it. Frankie and Kenny have really helped my son gain strength and confidence. My son is 13 and is in their youth sports performance program and has seen immediate results. I love their approach of first teaching kids the importance of correct form and not just giving them weight to lift. The program is well rounded including plyometrics, speed and agility training. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

The gym is truly one of a kind. It’s like having a personal trainer in a group setting. It is empowering and inspiring since one gains knowledge of how to train and ensures one is executing the exercises correctly. Confidence is built: for example, I never tried lifting more than a certain weight, but I was encouraged and succeeded. There is a sense of community; everyone feels welcome and comfortable. The Zumba class is really enjoyable and I always look forward to participating. Most of all, the coaches/trainers really enjoy doing what they love.

I haven’t worked out in years and coming in was a big step for me but the classes are excellent. You go at your level and the trainers are great and will encourage you to push harder if they think you can do more. You will break a sweat and you’ll feel each workout but it’s a good feeling and a great group of people.

My son, Mario has been attending youth classes at RAF Strength and Fitness gym and I can’t say enough good things about his experience. He absolutely loves it—both the classes and the incredible trainers who work with him. The environment is positive, motivating, and supportive, and it’s been amazing to see how much he’s grown in strength, endurance and enthusiasm.

As a Division 1 soccer player, I need to stay in the best of shape for the upcoming season. The atheltic trainers, Frankie and Kenny, have pushed me to my limits while becoming a stronger, faster, and better player. I highly reccomend to ALL atheltes of ANY age to come and give RAF a try and to completely level up your game. It doesnt matter how strong are atheltic you really are, you will get tons of attention, advice, and assitance on every movement completed.

The individual attention the staff at RAF provide is top notch. I joined after being tired of useless PT and a gym membership I wasn't utilizing. Within weeks my limp and weakness from a pinched nerve were relieved and my energy was back. All the trainers pay attention to your progess and encourage you to push forward. My family has been part of the RAF family (yes their clients are treated like family) since they opened the gym. I’m training with John, he’s not only a trainer, he’s a friend. There’s no judgement just a positive vibe in the gym. When I was unable to workout due to injuries and surgeries, I would get messages inquiring about my well being.
You can choose 1on1 or a variety of classes. They only hire the best trainers and coaches, and when you’re away they will ensure you get workout for the road if you need one.

I’ve only recently started my journey with RAF but the classes are great! I’ve really had to challenge myself doing their circuit training. It’s also been helpful that classes are small enough where I feel like any bad form is corrected by a trainer so that I’m not hurting myself. My son has also taken their classes for young athletes and the help and attention he’s received has been very positive and encouraging. Everyone working out there seems happy to be there. Trainers know the client’s names. It feels like a really great community.

I started at RAF a few months ago through a third party. I tried many different gyms, and they were alright. But I fell in love with RAF. Their dedication, attention, organization, and motivation has been unmatched. Back in February 2024 I had surgery on my knee, I was terrified to do any workouts. Kenny, one of the instructors carefully pushed and instructed me how to do the workouts and slowly but surely I noticed that I started to get stronger. Now I can do squats, lunges, and even run with no pain in my knee. I genuinely recommend this gym to anyone. It’s worth it!! Every single instructor in this gym is just wonderful!

I recently joined RAF after seeing an ad on social media about a four week challenge. I decided to fill out the form and received a call the next day from Frankie. He was so professional and knowledgeable and explained how the program works. I went in the next day to meet with Michael for a walk through and to go over all the details. Upon walking in I saw John (who happens to be a customer of mine at my place of work), and spoke to him briefly. After sitting with Michael, he was awesome by the way, he made me feel so comfortable and I felt like this is where I belonged. I decided that this was the place for me and I wanted to join for more than just the four weeks, and I did!!!!
I’m a sixty year old woman with lots of health issues, including mobility, weakness and joint pain. My first semi private class was insane. The next day I was hurting badly and felt like I was getting a flare up. When I went to my second class, a few days later, I spoke with Christine and explained my situation. She worked with me at my own pace and even modified some of the exercises for me. She’s the best. Thank you Christine.
RAF is nothing like any other gyms I’ve been to in the past. I feel like I joined a really fit and healthy family.
My hope is to shed some weight, increase my stamina and improve my overall health, and I believe I found the best place and the best group of people, that will help me achieve all of that. Thanks guys! 😊

I recently joined RAF coming from a gym I with for almost 10 years. From the moment I walked in for my trial semi private class I knew I found my new home. The gym is spacious, members are friendly, plenty of equipment, clean and most important the training and trainers! Every class or semi private, you have access to a program for all fitness levels but with a trainer that demonstrates every exercise, keeps a close eye on form and pushing you to the next level. So happy with my decision and looking forward taking my fitness to the next level.

I tried RAF through classpass and was immediately hooked. The culture is so welcoming and motivating, as every instructor is upbeat and very knowledgeable. The classes are designed for all skill levels-personally being an ex athlete, the group fitness classes are reminiscent of conditioning and add a social element that is hard to achieve elsewhere. I’ve been a member for a few weeks and have seen and felt changes in my body already. Highly recommend.

Losing weight is challenging, and it certainly has been for me. I used to lose weight, only to gain it back quickly—often with extra pounds. Maintaining weight loss requires discipline, and I think that's where RAF stands out from other gyms. Their #1 goal isn’t just for you to lose weight. In fact, when I first started, the trainers told me not to focus on the numbers on the scale. Instead, RAF’s #1 goal in my opinion is to teach you how to discipline yourself and build sustainable habits.
In just 6-7 months, I’ve lost more than 50 lbs by simply following their individualized nutrition and exercise plan and staying accountable. The trainers here genuinely want to see you succeed in your fitness journey, and their approach is incredibly supportive.
This gym can feel costly at times, but shouldn't discourage you. I see it as making an investment in yourself. If you’re serious about making a real change, I believe RAF can help you achieve it—just like it is still doing for me.

After two years of being a couch potato, I recently walked back through the doors at RAF and was welcomed with open arms!
RAF is welcoming and inclusive, especially for beginners. The entire staff is such a huge support, and they truly want you to succeed. The supportive atmosphere motivates you to reach your fitness goals. They are knowledgeable, friendly and provide modifications as you need them.
The members who are in great shape also give you a push, it’s truly a community with lots of encouragement and laughs!
Prioritizing time to work out also became easier for me. I love the workouts; they are always different, challenging and help to get me back in shape.

I'll keep it simple & straightforward....AWESOME! I'm the guy that hates to workout, I'm out of shape, and 100% lazy but RAF and it's crew have turned that around. There is a considerable difference between other gyms and RAF. RAF is a group of people who really want you to succeed. It's not your average gym. A few months ago, I was struggling. I had tried many things. My knees are arthritic, I couldn't do the stairs and my asthma was out of control. I took a chance when my son encouraged me to try and I am so glad I did. RAF is a gym you want to go to. The people, the coaches, the classes and the encouragement received make this gym a great place. It's not your average gym.

I joined RAF during their $30 for 30 days special and instantly loved the environment, workouts, & trainors. During the classes, whoever the instructor is, they push you to do your best while helping and encouraging you to go beyond your limits. Previously, I was going to LA Fitness, but had a hard time tracking my workouts and staying motivated to keep showing up. At RAF it's the complete opposite. You want to keep coming. Give it a try! After a long hiatus from doing anything besides a home based workout, I took the plunge and joined this gym. I fell in love with RAF from Day 1. The trainers are knowledgeable and care about your fitness journey. They offer modifications to accommodate for your injuries and fitness levels, making each class accessible and challenging for everyone who attends. This is no big-box gym. They know their members by name and you will always feels seen. They organize many events and offer nutrition or health-related seminars, thus proving that fitness is more than just about weight loss, but also about mental health and self care. Raf is a very warm and welcoming environment! Prior to joining Raf I was never motivated at other gyms. I feel very comfortable with all of the trainers and coaches. They are there for you if you have any questions or if you just need that extra push. They modify your exercises based on one’s comfort level and needs. I was introduced to RAF when I brought a group of third through eighth graders in for training. Watching the experiences of the girls I coach reminded me of the weight room I would see as a D1 athlete. It was an easy decision to join RAF myself after many years of wasted gym memberships I didn't use.
For the first time in ten years, I have myself forming positive habits consistently attending both group classes and semi-private training. Being an athlete my entire life, I had always searched for something that resembled the the team atmosphere and high intensity from coaches I experienced my whole life. In one of my first sessions, another member who I had never met stopped their workout to come help me finish an exercise I was struggling with. The rapport among the staff and members of RAF exceeded every expectation I had.
For anyone that has tried every type of gym and was unable to find something that stuck, give RAF a try. Every type of individual has home here: the person whose never lifted, the person who used to lift but lost touch with it, or the person who has gone to the gym every day for years. There is a place for you at RAF.

I've joined a couple of "challenges" here. It was a great kick start for me after being in a slump. Great place to work out if you yearn for community, with a variety of workouts that never get old or boring. The coaches are truly caring too. Not only do they help you with your fitness goals they help you with nutrition and motivation. Love the semi-private instruction and group classes. a great 'come as you are' atmosphere/ no pretense. My only "complaint" is the price is higher than your average gym. But no dues or annual fees either. love Raf community = family.

I LOVE this gym! I’m 54 years old. After over 20 years of living a sedentary lifestyle, I started RAF during the January challenge. Unhealthy and at my heaviest, I was a deer in headlights when I walked in. That immediately changed when I met Coach Christine. Her excitement, enthusiasm, and encouragement was contagious. There’s everything you need to become successful here- from nutritional support, personalized workouts, group classes, talented trainers, yoga.. the energy is palpable. A shout out to Coach Kenny. He pushes me beyond my comfort zone- I’m stronger for it and healthier than I was when I walked in. I am and will be forever grateful. enjoyed one on one personal training and loved competing and challenging myself. There is nothing better than seeing and adding to your own personal growth in fitness -whether it’s working on your deadlift form or hitting PRs with your back squats. Well this is exactly what RAF has to offer. I am able to track all my weights and reps with an individualized weight training program during a semi private group training class. I can honestly say there’s no other gym in Nassau County which offers such a unique personalized program in a semi private group setting. The best part about this, is that I am still able to let loose- have fun- and burn off that stress ( and Calories) all while staying focused.

Since joining RAF, I’ve become one of those people that could spend hours in the gym and not even realize the time going by!! RAF is the kind of gym where I actually look forward to working out at the end of a busy day. I know I’m going to feel comfortable, I’m going to be challenged and I know I’m going to have fun. When I first started I could barely do one sit-up, but now 10 months later and 25 pounds less, I’m loving the results I see.
The trainers are awesome, they put a lot of effort into their practice and they don’t just preach it, they live it and they love it. Big shout out to Kenny with the evening classes and boxing!!! I’m not sure I could’ve made so much progress without him. Kenny gave me the push I needed, knows exactly how to motivate me and take me progressively to higher levels! He is the right balance of tough but nice at the same time.
I try to take advantage of everything RAF offers, cause why not? I learn so much from the coaches/trainers! I haven’t gotten bored like I usually would at other gyms because they have a variety of options to mix things up. Small group fitness classes, large group fitness classes, Boxing, Zumba (Reyna is a force to reckon with!) and Yoga classes (Shelley knows how to calm your mind and stretch that body)! I love that they also work with the surrounding community to host events and get everyone involved.
Thanks RAF for creating a space where I feel so supported in my quest for a sustainable healthy lifestyle. I can’t wait to see what the next 10 months will bring!

I cannot say enough about the trainers at RAF. Each and every one cares about their members. I initially joined RAF 3 years ago to get in shape and improve overall mental health. I followed through until 2 weeks before I gave birth! During the pregnancy, not only I was I supported and cheered on, but every exercise was modified as needed. The trainers always had a watchful eye on me to make sure I was completing the exercises safely. I did take a break but fast forward to my current journey, I am beyond grateful for my experience at RAF. Christine has been a solid rock as my trainer in the semi-private classes. She is an inspiration with her fitness abilities and is so kind and supportive in guiding me through mine. I have become physically and mentally stronger. I fought through the first few months with an injury but again, modifications were made. 7 months later, I’m lifting heavier, sleeping better, more focused throughout my day and eating better. It’s been a journey and a work in progress but if you believe in yourself, you will grow. I cannot thank everyone at RAF enough for their dedication to their members.

I took a deep breath and dialed the number for RAF. I decided it was time to get healthy before turning the big 5-0 and RAF was starting a 6 week challenge. I was petrified of going to a gym after so many years of doing nothing but counting points. But Christine put my mind at ease and got me all signed up. I began the 6 week challenge the following day. Erin helped me with nutrition every Monday night on our Zoom calls. In the end, I lost almost 18 pounds. I have been a part of RAF gym since December and I couldn’t be happier. Everyone from the bosses, the trainers and the other members are great. Easy to communicate with and everyone is always eager to help out. I am currently in a small group training. I like the small group a lot because there’s more of a one on one attention and guidance rather than a fast paced larger group. You can keep track of your workouts and weights for every class on mini iPads. My trainer has been Mike N. From the very start he listened to all my health restrictions and concerns. He has guided me every step of the way since. The workouts are tough but Mike helps me modify what my body can handle but at the same time challenges me to become physically and mentally stronger. In just a short time I’ve seen so many positive results already. And it’s just the beginning.

RAF is amazing! Both my son's have special needs and the trainers are very accommodating and help them tremendously. Especially Tyler. Tyler took the time to show my adult son with special needs how to wrap his boxing wraps as well as checking on him throughout the training. During the classes the trainers rotate and approach every member, including myself to help and guide them through the workouts. It feels as if you have a personal trainer. My younger son had to have a vocal surgery and is unable to speak for a few weeks. The trainers in the College/HS Sports performance understood, are very understanding and have continued to help with his training. The members are all so welcoming and kind. I am SO happy I FINALLY found a gym that cares for their clients and not the monetary aspect.

Last year I entered and won RAF's free year membership contest. At 53, I hadn't worked out at gym in 20 years and was feeling the effects. My energy level was depleted by mid day and my muscles had no memory. My son Chris has been telling me to take a trial workout at RAF for two years. I previously worked out with a private trainer, but stopped going for lack of motivation. Recently I took my son's advice and am very happy I did.The workouts are challenging, but the owner Mike is a great trainer and a true motivator. He takes an interest in the all around health and well being of his members. On my second day, I mentioned to Mike that I wanted to lose weight. After the workout he prepared a meal plan for me. I am in a small group with men my age who welcomed me to the group and are very supportive of each other. In closing, RAF is more than a gym, it is a family. I recommend RAF 100%.

Mike and John have built RAF into a gym that becomes part of your lifestyle. RAF is easily the best gym I’ve ever been too. Whether I do a private one on one training session or attend a group class, I leave the gym feeling completely satisfied. With John and Mike’s guidance I was able to lose 80 lbs. The training sessions and their advice has also helped me keep my arthritis pain to a minimum or on some days be completely gone!..If you are looking to improve your body, RAF without question is one of the best places to go to. The atmosphere at RAF is like a big family that is having a great time while working hard. All the additional staff hired by RAF are wonderful people!

Mike, John and all the trainers are passionate, selfless and kind ... they truly care about each person ... all are warmly welcomed regardless of fitness level, age and ability. amazing adult fitness classes ... Game changer for me! My son plays football in college and does the personal training sessions and he's made incredible gains. Perfect place for any fitness level. They consistently push you and encourage you to be the best you can be. The classes offer a high energy workout- don't forget to bring a towel because you will sweat!
RAF is clean and offers a great variety of equipment!
If you have a child that wants to excel in sports, RAF also offers great workout opportunities for middle and high school students as well. My son and some of his soccer teammates started training at RAF a few weeks ago and their strength and agility has greatly improved.

The trainers are kind and encouraging. They know all of their clients and greet them individually when they walk in. They push you, but they also allow accommodations to the exercises when necessary. They describe the moves and their purpose. The other members are congenial and supportive. Everybody follows prescribed safety protocols. I’ve worked out (and have wanted to work out) more in the last 4 weeks than I have in the last 4 years.

John and Mike will truly tailor the workouts to your specific needs making sure that you see the results you are going for. They both have different approach which as a member gives you great options but most importantly they both share the same enthusiasm, care and dedication to their clients. If you have questions about nutrition, how to modify an exercise or which specific workout you should do for a specific body part - they will give you an instant answer.
