My wife and I joined about a month ago and love it. As pure beginners the staff at Rebel made learning easy and fun. All of the coaches are great. They are all very patient and highly skilled and take the time to work with you as needed. Farmingdale is our primary gym and have taken classes at the Levittown location as well. The facility is clean and well equipped.

I stumbled upon it by chance, full of initial hesitance and curiosity, but was greeted with the owner's wide smile, the dizzying smell of hard-earned sweat pervading every inch of air and bringing memories of ice hockey locker rooms I have long since left. I scoured up every bit of confidence I had in my possession and followed along my first group class, punches and kicks very closely resembling the feeble attempts of a baby bird at flight. I was gently but firmly guided and corrected, and given as much attention as an experienced fighter.

In a another group class, during the "freestyle" call (for pad practice), the next move asked of me was unexpected and developed speed and adaptability, instead of iterating variations of the demonstrated sequence. That freedom is what ultimately generates the most mental engagement and focus; I imagine it's more present in more advanced classes, but I as well was able to thrive and learn quickly when encouraged to perform moves I wasn't exactly conformable with, in rapid succession.

I had expected to watch and learn silently until I earned a somewhat higher level than fresh beginner, but I found myself perfectly capable of following the demonstrations and practicing punches and kicks.

The 3-first-classes beginners package allowed me to ease into the Muay Thai space and actively encouraged me to make the financial and temporal commitment for month long classes. Any scheduling conflicts or questions I had were promptly and efficiently resolved; an incredible aid for someone who has a busy weekly schedule. I was also given a chance to give feedback on classes and coach performance; a practice that not only improves future class operation, highlights exceptional coaching, and makes students feel heard in what they have to report.

Once I began coming to the Levittown location, and discovering within myself a deep appreciation for the discipline and willingness to push one's limits necessary for fighting, I realized I simply wouldn't have been able to leave the gym; not after feeling the adrenaline sear my veins, and finally having found coaches that would - paying heed to my beginner level - actively challenge me without pressuring perfection.

I am so grateful I found this place, because I have gained a new sport I can explore, a surprisingly welcoming and warm community of coaches and fighters, and an inner furnace to forge strength, physical and mental control, and self-belief. I would encourage anyone who has never done this to throw fear and self-consciousness to the wind and ones who have lost touch with Muay Thai to re-connect with it here.

Absolutely amazing gym! I started at Rebel Thai about 5 months ago, and my only regret is that I didn't start sooner. I've lost weight, and my fitness level has increased tremendously!
Fantastic coaches, great class schedule, weekly focused learning, and clean facility. Every workout is AWESOME!!!
With students of all levels, everyone is extremely kind with helping new people. The coaches, and assistant coaches help throughout the class with proper form and technique.
I can't say enough about Rebel Thai and the way that it's completely changed my fitness journey. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to try!

Edit: Was a member here for 8+ years. The environment has transitioned away from authentic Muay Thai and is now more focused on fitness. If you are looking for a place for your children, or for your own fitness this is the place, similar to I love kickboxing. If you want to train like a fighter I would look elsewhere. More of a numbers game now, no focus on the actual art.

This gym is exceptional! The coaches are not only highly skilled but also incredibly attentive and friendly. No matter the class size, they make it a point to correct your technique, ensuring you’re getting the most out of every session. The presence of assistants who are always circulating around the gym adds an extra layer of support, which is invaluable.

I travel quite a distance to train here, even though there are gyms closer to me, because the atmosphere and energy are simply unmatched. The sense of community and dedication here keeps me coming back. My only suggestion would be to consider opening a fourth location in Queens—it would be a great expansion!

I’ve been a student for 3 months and this Muay Thai gym has increased my discipline, self-confidence, and fitness. All the coaches explain drills very well and are always looking to have students improve their technique and to overall improve in the sport. Truly a great atmosphere for anyone looking to learn Muay Thai. The best thing I ever signed up for.

I’ve been to a bunch of different martial arts places, and Rebel is so much better. The coaches are great, the facilities are great, and the classes are a great workout. I’m a busy professional , and the absolute best is that there’s a ton of classes, so I can go when it works for me.

The best part is the kids classes; unlike alot of other places, they have a ton of classes available, the classes always have a bunch of kids (and enough coaches to handle them), and they do a great job of balancing play and training. My son always love to go, and I recommend this place to anyone looking for their kids.

As a 50+ year old who is a pretty good shape, I was hesitant to join thinking I might be too old. I decided to throw caution to the wind, joined and jumped right into sparring.
Although I run regularly as part of my regular workouts, after only 10 mins of sparring at 1/2 speed I was sucking air. It was an intense workout that left me sweating and drained but I loved every second of it. It was muuuuch more fun than just pounding away on a treadmill.
The instructors are patient and very knowledgeable. The students accepted me right away and went easy on given that I’m the new guy.
My only regret is that I didn’t join years ago. Can’t wait until my next class.

Rebel Thai Boxing truly changed my life for the better! Being a 10 yr wrestler back when I went to school with past shoulder injuries, I’ve struggled finding alternatives for high intensity disciplines that don’t put a lot of stress on my shoulder. Rebel Thai Boxing was my answer! I went from weighing in the 210s to weighing weight that I haven’t seen myself weigh in 5 years back when I wrestled college. They have also helped me build self confidence in my physical fitness and self defense. Very humble atmosphere with a highly diverse level of skill. Perfect for beginners, intermediate, and advance.

The large Rebel Thai Boxing is a great spot in Long Island for authentic Muay Thai. The classes get busy in the evening and is a decent mix of men and women. There is always a good ratio of teacher to student.

All of the instructors are fight trained and ring experienced. More than a handful have been to Thailand to get real deal training. There is a strong link between Rebel and the technical Sitjaopho gym in Hua Hin.

The owner of the gym, Eddie Cuello, is a New York native and you can tell from his approachable but straight forward manner. He trained for a long time out of Sitan Gym with Aziz Nabih, who has a strong kickboxing background. Cuello has also been out to Sitjaopho multiple times. He really emphasizes technique which can be seen in the style of his trainers, like Rod Williams. Cuello also hosts Muay Thai shows at Madison Square Garden.

The gym has a lot of gear at hand which is awesome. They are connected with the international and very fashionable gear company Infightstyle.

The only downside of the gym is that it doesn't have showers. On the plus side there is a Chipotle across the street.

Rebel Muay Thai Smithtown is the real deal. The facility is well-organized, clean, and comfortable. The coaches are incredible. It is obvious that they are proficient with their craft. They are experienced fighters who love Muay Thai. Most importantly, they are phenomenal teachers; patient, informative, and very motivating. The classes provide a workout that are second to none. I signed up for the 'new member' 3 class trial and immediately after my third class I enrolled in their 3 month summer special (a truly amazing deal!). I've been looking for a quality Muay Thai school, that is reasonably close to home, for a long time and I'm happy to say I found it. Thanks Rebel Muay Thai!! I'm looking forward to my next class!

Great people, great coaches, great training.

Legit Muay Thai training with experienced coaches on LI. I've been going 3x a week for almost two months, and the workouts have been spectacular. Definitely not your standard boring monotonous "pick things up and put them down" workout, the coaches change it up regularly and provide a great mix of intense workouts and expert technique instruction.

I've never field singled out or embarrassed by my skill level - no egos, just training and positive attitudes. I recommend (and will continue to recommend) this gym to anyone and everyone who asks (and probably to those who don't ask as well!).

My girl at the time purchased private lessons for me as a birthday gift. She asked me what school do I want to go to. I remember watching a few amateur fights and there was one gym who's fighters looked way better and more technical than the others...that gym was Sitan (now named Rebel Thai Boxing). After my first lesson with Eddie I knew that was the place for me. I immediately signed up and currently I'm part of the fight team.

You don't have to be a fighter to join this gym but you will be trained and pushed like you are one (in a positive and fun way...most of the time lol). My first week everyone from members and staff made me feel like I've been there since the gym first opened. If you are looking for authentic, traditional muay thai there is no other gym to go to except Rebel Thai Boxing.

Sitan Gym is clean, affordable, and conveniently located in central Nassau County. The coaches are friendly and definitely know their stuff. There’s plenty of classes to choose from - whether you’re a beginner or at an advanced level. They have a great kids program for those of you with little ones and the gym is women- friendly as well, so ladies, you need not be intimidated.

In addition to traditional Muay Thai classes, they also have Strength and Conditioning classes with Coach Dave three times a week. He really pushes you to work hard and explains the correct way to do an exercise, the right form, and sometimes even gets down to the anatomy level. Coach Eddie is the head coach and co-owner. He is a technique master and takes the time to critique each individual’s form, stance, punch, kick, etc. Coach Jess is my favorite; she’s spunky, very knowledgeable, a great motivator, and lots of fun. There is a great sense of camaraderie among the students and staff alike. Everyone is easy to get along with and very helpful towards each other.

The gym recently added Fitness Kickboxing classes, and I’ve been attending those instead as it fits better with my schedule. Since joining the Sitan Gym family in January 2015, I have lost 20 pounds, gained new friends, and a pretty mean left hook. I enjoy an improved sense of self- assurance, I have more energy, I am stronger, I feel healthy, I sleep better, and I love walking out of the gym feeling good about myself.

Sitan Gym LI is the ideal gym if you're trying to reach ANY fitness goal and learn self defense. The experienced coaches are very knowledgeable and helpful. The biggest thing for me that sets them apart from any other gym in the area and any other coaches in the area, is that that genuinely care about the students and their progression. This is the only true authentic muay thai gym that i know of, they train everyone and anyone from beginners walking in off the street and advanced students looking to compete in a fight. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone looking to better themselves physically and mentally. The prices are very reasonable for a true authentic muay thai gym. They also have an awesome merchandise selection, shirts, thai shorts, hand wraps, gloves, thai oil, you name it they have it and for those of you who know muay thai, they carry excellent brands like infightstyle, top king and more. This place is not only worth checking out but you would regret not signing up and becoming a student.

Sitan gym has changed my life so much, not just physical aspect, but even the mental one. I had always wanted to compete in a fighting sport but throughout my whole journey I never met the right people to help me through it. At Sitan Gym, I met Thiago the man who helped build my confidence to finally compete in a Muay Thai tournament. He's the owner and head coach who was like a big brother to me. He actually cares and wants his students getting results, not just breaking a sweat. The coaches at Sitan are very patient and focused when it comes to training. They want to see how you are progressing and where you are struggling and help you with both. The difference between Sitan Gym and other gyms is very simple, the coaches at Sitan care about the results more than the membership you pick. If you're looking for gym where you'll always feel welcomed, then check them out. Your first day is actually one of the best because from that day you'll get hooked!

In short: CLEAN, NO CONTRACTS, NO EGOS, WOMEN FRIENDLY, TRADITIONAL MUAY THAI, SPINNING BACK ELBOWS.

Easily the greatest Muay Thai gym within Long Island. Ego free, clean facility and outstanding instruction offering classes to children and adults. Eddie (head trainer) effortlessly creates a family oriented atmosphere which allows beginners to feel equal to advanced practitioners. The instructors who are greatly experienced and knowledgeable pay high attention to detail to assist with proper technique and are extremely patient. A great note to mention is that this is NOT a stiff, uptight gym as the owners and instructors love to joke around and have fun with their students all the while providing brilliant instructions and a grueling workout.

No surprise as the gym continues to grow adding more classes to the schedule to accommodate all levels of experience. Highly recommended.

I have trained at countless gyms in Long Island. If you are serious and you really want to get into shape and in the process learn authentic Muay Thai, and get the same type of training you would only in a camp in Thailand.. This is the place for you! The men and women here are always competing hence why the classes touch upon full body circuits, and world class conditioning that will make any human beings body fat percentage drop, and certainly take your cardiovascular system into a whole new level. Also, I don't know any other gym or name that has such a tight knit bond where fighters from Connecticut, Philadelphia, Arizona, Queens and Long island all get together under one name. I started training last year and like anybody else started working full time but kept doing private lessons with Eddie Cuello who is an excellent teacher and someone that will really push you to reach your goals.

First off, THE PLACE IS CLEAN! it is incredible the amount of work the people of this gym put into it. Everything and everyone was very professional to the point where it felt as if I should've paid more than what they were asking for the services I received. Their adult Muay Thai program is absolutely top notch and overall very professional. Eddie was extremely patient and helped me out each step of the way (I'm not exactly athletic). I'm often the "old man" here at 49 but traditional gyms bore the heck out of me and as a long time boxing/kickboxing fan and student (and not much for grappling) Muay Thai is the best of all worlds utilizing knees, elbows, kicks, traditional boxing combos and insane cardio. Some call it a family atmosphere at Sitan but better yet I consider it a team vibe. I have no delusions of fighting competitively but I train side by side with guys and gals who will so I must step up my game to not let them down and be a worthy training partner, which means I learn more and work harder and that is why I'm there. I often go to Muay Thai tournaments and Sitan gyms are heavily represented there and respected for turning out top notch fighters. It is exciting to help people work towards achieving their dreams while becoming better myself in the process. There are usually people at all levels so I can find someone new to the sport or older and in similar shape to me to work the one on one stuff where I help with technique and they push me on the cardio. Really, it all starts with Eddie C. Just an impressive guy, positive motivator and one of the best coaches I've encountered in any sport. Keeps it intense and challenging but still loose and fun. If you want to work your butt off, feel like part of a team who has your back and are okay with crawling to your car after in a puddle of sweat, Sitan LI is the place. Can't recommend it more highly!

We brought our 4 children age 11, 9, 7 and 4 during the gym's official opening in March this year, 2013. We found the atmosphere to be friendly, the facility clean and the owners/trainers, Master Aziz Nabih, head coach Eddie Cuello and Mike Gasparki very professionals and yet very down to earth. My children have been training in the kids Muay Thai class since the gym open. During a short span of 1 year training, they have learned a lot of techniques under close supervision and guidance from the awesome coach and assistant coaches. I'm sure they have more to learn. We are fortune to have the gym located not far where we live. To parents who wants their children to learn self defense, I highly recommend Muay Thai martial arts. Let the children learn and have fun while at it. Sitan Gym Long Island is THE place to learn, hands down! The adult class is very inspiring. There are days we stayed to watch the adults doing their training. The adults are very encouraging and act professional when training with one another, unlike in some gyms I've witnessed. With trainers like Aziz Nabih and Eddie Cuello who train from the best in Thailand and assistant coach Jessica Cavagnaro, who recently added a 3rd title to her name, you can't go wrong training at Sitan gyms, Sitan Gym LI. Go on, give it a try. All the best!

Words from my 11yr old in his FB fan page, Mateen Stevens
"I am proud to be one of the first students to enroll in the kids Muay Thai class at Sitan Gym Long Island when it opened in March, 2013. Master Aziz Nabih, Mike Gasparski and head coach, Eddie Cuello together with assistant coaches, Mike Finkel, Jessica Cavagnaro, Ed Rivera, Howie Kuo, Arthur Dang, Van Tu, Steve Bridwell, Bailey Kahn and Joaquin Bautista train me and the other kids very well, showing us the proper techniques with our punches, low and high kicks, blocks, clinching and teep kick, namely. I was not be able to do any of those things that well a year ago. Watch my videos (a few on my mom's link on YT-account Fauzzie7) and see how much I have improved with proper guidance from them. My siblings and I look forward to every Muay Thai class each week. The coaches make learning Muay Thai enjoyable for the kids. The adults training there are very friendly, respectful and encouraging. My siblings and I had the same wonderful experience training at Sitan Gym NY under Master Aziz Nabih and head coach Joel Estevez. And I'm sure, training at other Sitan Gym locations, Sitan Gym PA, Rami Ibrahim, Sitan Gym Arizona, Thiago Azeredo and Sitan Gym CT will be as amazing as the ones here in LI and NY. Happy 1st anniversary Sitan Gym LI! Many more amazing years to come."
