Sloppy sloppy sloppy, can never find the weight I’m looking for because no one ever re racks their weights. Staff probably can care less because I never see them at least re rack or anything wipe stuff down. Machines take weeks to get repaired wich doesn’t help the cause. Honestly only reason I attend the gym is because its close to home. Still mad at the fact that they closed the blink fitness that was near by which might I say was elite compared to this horrific place.

When is started using the gym a year ago, the cleanliness was very questionable but I went back the last two weeks and they have a staff cleaning all day. The place definitely looks cleaner and smells better. Definitely feeling a lot more comfortable going there now

Management expecially the owner of this gym got this very trash there is NO AIR CONDITIONAR MACHINES 75% are broken the roof top of the gym seem like it’s about to fall off there’s barely any parking space due to other people that don’t go to the gym rent the space via the owner permission and most of all this as been going on for 4 meybe more years now. Ive been coming here for a while now. This gym offers everything you need and have great selection of gym equipment . Initially it was under a different management, but I have seen a significant improvement in upkeep of machinery and maintenance since the change. I prefer this gym to others in the area.

Horrible Gym; they never have paper towels or wipes to clean the machines with people sweating which is disgusting. It’s always hot inside and smells, bathrooms also never have soap and machines stay out of service for a while. Not sure who the district manager is here but they definitely need more presence. Half the cardio machines are broken along with 50% of the other machines. The ceiling over the toilets in the men's bathroom is about to collapse. The a.c wasn't on or working. They had 3 fans on the floor to try and cool the place. They also had some home speaker on the floor playing music. I guess the sound system is also messed up.
Update: so Over a year later I came back to this gym. Unfortunately the status of the gym has changed for the worse. Now it seems as the roof is leaking in different parts of the gym. So the ceiling is falling in different parts of the gym. Near the window in some spots you see black mold. Still most of the gym machines are broken. More then half the cardio machines are broken. Ine of the water fountains is broken. The smell of the gym is horrible. I've never seen an employee wipe the machines down or even pass a mop in the gym floor. I've come to this location in different times of the day. This gym should be shut down.

recently moved and this is my new “home” retro. however, i will be cancelling as a result of this being my closest location. the facilities are not the most sanitary. a lot of broken equipment. and the few machines that do work are constantly hogged by the trainers no matter the time of day. literally cannot do leg presses or rows because of the clientele training and the row machines are used for the trainers to train on hip thrust? very very absurd. loved the proximity and parking but the facility itself is disheartening.

Children running around the gym as if it were a playground age limit is non existent (strollers and carriers allowed)

Wish they would open at 5am on weekdays. Many machines have been out of service for over a year now with no signs or plans to repair. 2023 Update:

COMPLAINT:
They made me pay $40 to cancel my subscription when their own policy says: "After 12 months, you can cancel with 7 days’ notice by bringing a signed letter to the gym manager. Why 7 days? It just takes us that long to get everything out of our systems. Again, we want to keep you as part of our Retro Fitness Family and would appreciate some direct feedback to see if we can change your mind." Nowhere in there does it say there's a fee. I'm making this update in November but I cancelled in April 2023. I can no longer find the website where it said I didn't have to pay anything because I had been a member for more than 12 months. So, I can't prove that part, but at the time it specifically said that.

At that point, I was a member for more than a year. It took me 3 tries over 3 months to cancel. I kept waiting for them to address the letters (1st I dropped it off personally, 2nd time I mailed it, 3rd time I walked in and ended up paying to leave). They didn't even know what letters I was talking about. The owner was never available when I called. After standing on principle because originally their parent company website said I didn't have to pay anything, as a member for more than a year, eventually I folded. I wanted to be done with them so I paid the measly $40.

I travel across town to go to LA Fitness, now. But if you want a simple gym, but you don't like the crowds at Blink, I'd say it's worth it. Just know it's a hassle to end a subscription. They will hold you hostage if given the chance.

I went to this gym for the first time on Tuesday. I had an amazing introductory training with Alan (still sore ) felt great to have a complete workout. I then took their Zumba class, what an energetic group of ladies, the instructor had great music and great moves. I signed up on the spot and am looking fwd to going back. Love the fact that they have parking as well 🤗

This gym is musty as hell. I went on a day that was about 60-ish degrees and they had their doors open, and omg when i stepped inside its as if i stepped into the men’s locker room. There’s no ventilation and the AC apparently doesn’t work. I know this is an ongoing issue because I used to go to this gym back in 2020 and ventilation was poor. Also, people don’t clean their machines after using and a lot of equipment are broken. If membership was $10-$15 i probably would keep it, but for $30 i expect more.

This retro has been done over the machines have been reupholstered the place was very well lit,clean and ventilated. The bathrooms and locker area were clean. This location has an outdoor lot you can park in right off the street also plenty of street parking in surrounding area. The club’s staff was excellent. I just went on Sunday 11/07/21 and the young lady was very professional and informative. I noticed that they had 2 very big fans blowing on the floor and air fresheners everywhere. When I went into the men’s locker room it had a very loud order like mildew and it felt damp inside. More than half the treadmills are broken in this gym and cancelation fee is 3months worth of membership if i am not able to even use the equipment why am i being charged $40. After i paid the cancelation fee i was also told i might still get charged from the lady working at the counter. Also the supervisor is only available until 1pm i was told. I work 60 hours a week and get out around 5 or 6pm everyday meaning i can not physically speak to whoever is in charge . I will call tomorrow if i cant get a resolution i will be reporting this buisness for not upkeeping their gym. I will apreciate it if the owner/supervisor can attempt to resolve this as i am extremely disappointed woth my experience.

I've been going awhile and the upkeep is bad. When workout machines are broken they stay that way for awhile. Machines that should normally be bright red are darkened with sweat. The atmosphere is also poor, a lot of the men that go there just lounge around on machines without using them they and aren't reprimanded by the staff when they do this. Nor are they when they're having conversations where they're shouting at the top of their lungs. Personally I had someone on gear scream at me because I apparently walked too close to him. The staff is a mixed bag in all honestly, there's some of the coaches like Travis who is a really friendly and outgoing individual for example. Then you have the teenager's who man the front desk who can't even look you the eye when your carrying out a transaction with them. They often flat out ignore customers who are requesting services or are simply greeting them. Personally I've sat the smoothie bar catching my breath at the end of a session and patiently waited until one of the personnel would notice me and ask what I needed. After all I saw they were conversing and I was catching my breath, I didn't mind waiting a bit. I sat there for ten minutes and no one acknowledged my existence. I spent another two trying to get their attention. All in all a horrible way to treat your customers. Its not social anxiety either because these teenagers have very loud conversations amongst themselves, they just don't care to be professional around customers sometimes. To summarize: The up keep and maintenance leave a whole lot to be desired, a lot of gym goers here aren't playing with a full deck or are flat out inconsiderate and the teenaged new hires at the front desk do a lot to undo the hard work of the few good workers there.

Also the cancellation policy needs to be looked at as other reviews pointed out. There's no actual reason why people shouldn't be able to cancel from the comfort of their homes apart from their policies just saying so. Its an inconvenience.

Don't do it to yourself. If you sign up with this gym you will not be able to exit contract without great stress. One would think that if you missed a payment that they would close account. Maybe if you miss two or even three. Nope they will continue to charge you and attempt to collect a 50$ cancellation fee. Even after going to this gym and telling them to stop charging me. They told me I had to come back when a manager was in. In the meantime they continue to charge but I do not have access to the gym. I ended up just canceling my credit card. You should tell us everything before we even sign up and put our bank account on it,I’ve not been to the gym since March and I just realized they’ve been taking the monthly money.I personally went to the gym and told them to close account only to find out that you have to pay $50 to close it.What kind of policy is that? Machines look dirty, no tissue or spray bottle with solution to clean the machines. I have to wait to use certain machines because the men especially at night just seat on them and talk to each other, the dark room stinks, and never any parking space.
