Love working with Phoenix, she is the best!! I've seen so many improvements since starting - I'm feeling stronger, more flexible, and just overall better in my body. She has such a great step by style that makes everything easy to follow, even when the movements are challenging. I always leave our sessions feeling more balanced and energized. Highly recommend if you're looking for someone who really knows how to guide and support you through the Gyrotonic method!

I started my Gyrotonic journey with Phoenix for 2 years consistently twice a week every week, and I’m so grateful for her knowledge and care. I’ve been working with Phoenix since the beginning of May, and my experience has been incredible. She is very knowledgeable, she is very encouraging and caring. I love how she explains the science behind the movements, and that really helps me visualize and understand my body better.
When I started, walking could be painful for my knees and my hips. But now? that pain is gone. I feel lighter, stand with better posture, and I am just more comfortable in my own body. The one-on-one sessions are always respectful and welcoming, and I truly feel cared for.
I highly recommend Phoenix to anyone, even if you don’t suffer from pain. It is amazing how much you can learn about your own body through these sessions, and the improvements speak for themselves.

My daughter and I saw Phoenix for Gyrotonics, both in person and online, and we were incredibly impressed. She listened carefully to our concerns—especially about my daughter, who has mild scoliosis and TMJ/lockjaw issues. After using the Gyrotonic tower, we saw a real improvement in her posture, head tilt, and her jaw even unlocked to the point where her pain was reduced. It was amazing to witness.
Phoenix’s expertise, warmth, and attention to detail made a big impact on our whole family. Even the online session was effective—she guided us with clear demos and helpful cues. My husband came to the in-person session just to observe, and even he felt better afterwards!
We wish we lived closer to see her more often, but even virtually, she delivers a great experience. Our family highly recommends Phoenix whether in person or online, she’s a pleasure to work with and be with!

Super glad to be able to find Phoenix! She helped me prepare for my gyrotonic teacher training here in NYC. I do have a bit of a problem with my scoliosis - so the training sessions that we did was very targeted to what my problems are. Phoenix was very detailed & she break down lots of movements one by one making sure that I understood & able to do it. Couldn’t highly recommend her as a teacher!

I’ve been taking classes with Phoenix for almost six months, and she has been an incredible instructor. I originally started Pilates to strengthen my core after a spinal cord injury, but I was amazed by the benefits of Gyrotonic® as well, which focuses on fascia stretching and rhythmic movement. Phoenix has built a strong foundation for me with the basic homework series and has seamlessly advanced my training using equipment tailored to my specific needs. Our initial meeting with Phoenix was incredibly helpful and informative, and she was always responsive whenever we had questions or concerns. Phoenix was able to tweak a choreography that I found on YouTube and personalized it for me and my husband. Each session with Phoenix was a joy, and we both loved the experience of learning the dance together. I am a CPA in Asset Management who spend most of my day sitting in front of a computer. I took up ballroom dancing as an exercise in the beginning and grew into a competitive ProAm dancer. As I progress in my dance learning, I realized that I couldn’t do certain movements and turns as sharp and as full due to muscles tightness and restriction. My range of motion was somewhat limited and stiff. I realized I need to work on my body especially for me who started to learn Ballroom dancing in my mid 40s. I know Phoenix for many years both as a professional dancer and a Gyrotonic instructor. I started Gyrotonic class with her two years ago. Under her methodical and meticulous instructions, my body movements became more flexible and my muscles gained strength. I am more aware of my body parts and my body became better coordinated. Most importantly Phoenix is a dancer herself. She is knowledgeable about muscle and spine mobility that attribute to and strengthen dance movements. She designed an exercise routine for me that help increase coordination, strength and flexibility for purposes of my danceability. Now I am in my 50s. I felt that I have more freedom in my movements. I have better control of my muscles and better articulation of my joints. I dance with more strength and energy. Everyone took notice of my improvement on the dance floor. Phoenix is instrumental in laying a strong foundation for my dance journey and a healthy life style. Rise with Phoenix!!!

I have a scoliosis and as I get older it has increased the issues with my lower back and my right hip. Doing gyrotonic with Phoenix has gone a long way in helping me deal with these issues as she has experience and knowledge about working with clients who have a scoliosis.
-But in additon to helping me deal with scoliosis issues, Phoenix has helped to strenghten my core and increase my flexibility.
-I worked with Phoenix for over a year. We had to stop because of the pandemic but the impact of the work she did with me lasted and it helped me get and maintain better posture. And last but not least, Phoenix kind but rigorous approach to working with people made it very pleasurable for me to have sessions with her.

I went to Rise with Phoenix because I was looking to take care of my body and prevent injury while dancing competitively. I had also seeked a greater sense of spinal flexibility. After just a few sessions I already began to see improvement in my spinal flexibility and began to pick up tips for injury prevention that I was able to incorporate into my regular life and dancing.
I didn’t really know what to expect, as I had never done gyrontonic before and went in with an open mind. At every step of the way, Phoenix made sure to that I was having a great, and beneficial experience. From start to finish, Phoenix was smiling and making the experience a pleasant one. She found the perfect balance between joking around, and being informative and helpful, while sharing fun details about life, and giving me the chance to talk about mine without prying.
Phoenix is the type of instructor that really cares about what she does, and who she works with. Her passion for and knowledge of what she does is impressive. She is committed to making sure you get out of your session what you came in for, and makes an effort to point out how you have progressed, and what areas need to be worked through next.
Even on days when I didn’t feel like making the time to come in and do my session because of unrelated things going on in my life, I always left feeling very satisfied and happy from getting to work with her.
I highly recommend anyone who is considering Gyrotonic to do it with Phoenix. She is a true master at what she does and will not disappoint.

Phoenix is a true professional and is very knowledgeable in her work! I had always wanted to try Gyrotonic before, and I am so happy to have had my first experience with such an amazing teacher. She is excellent at explaining every movement, and also at explaining how to apply the skills learned in her class to help improve other disciplines, such as dancing for me! I felt immediately improved mobility in my body after her class, and also improved my coordination. I would highly recommend her to anyone, athlete or just anyone looking to improve their physical and mental wellness, as she is truly the best!

Before finding Phoenix and Gyrotonics I was out of shape, in a lot of pain and struggled with just simple movement. I have a tailbone injury that was further agitated from having had covid and limited activity from the lock down. When I 1st met Phoenix my main goal was getting back my range of motion. I can absolutely say we've exceeded this goal and then some. I am stronger, more flexible and my stamina has by far increased. It has been 3 years of weekly training with Phoenix and I look forward to every session. What appreciate most is how she has showed me that Gyrotonics can go further through the session and aspects of each exercise or movement can be used in my everyday life. If you work with Phoenix you will not only gain the benefits of Gyrotonics but you will have a trainer that listens to you, goes at the pace of what is needed for your body, will challenge you, makes you laugh, make each session fun and will always teach you something new! I can't reccomend her enough!!
