As a grandparent, hindsight in life improves, often approaching 20/20. I have been fortunate enough to attend several events Master Refino has held with our grandson, his class, and many children there for a special event (i.e. birthday party ; class belt testing, etc). I had no exposure to Master Refino until our daughter and her husband enrolled our grandson in one of his beginner classes. Suffice to say, this is where the hindsight starts. If you are looking to have your child exposed to just some Taekwondo Forms, go anywhere you like, BUT if you are looking for the BEST possible life forming experiences, you should ABSOLUTELY give #risentaekwondo a look. Master Refino combines not simply a physical outlet and a hefty dose of self-esteem building but completes the process with discipline training, respect recognition, patience development, and drenches it all with a giant portion of nurturing. This all comes wrapped in a blanket of FUN for the kids. This young gentleman is the REAL deal whom any parent/grandparent would be thrilled to gain exposure to. As one of the few adult students at Risen, I really appreciated being able to join taekwondo when I did. It was a big factor in helping me overcome my postpartum depression. I love their fun and interesting ways of getting younger kids involved with the sport. They not only make the classes interesting and fun to be at they make them informative combining learning with fun. I love the program which can lead you to being a junior instructor.
