I started working out with Rich about a year ago and it’s the most consistent I’ve ever been with exercise. I look forward to my sessions because Rich mixes things up every session and keeps things interesting and fun with great conversation. I’ve definitely noticed a big improvement in my strength over the last year (which is what I identified as my goal when we first met) and it’s inspired me to add new and different forms of exercise into my weekly routine. Can’t recommend Rich enough!

Rich is awesome. Our workouts are always challenging yet he is great at adapting them to avoid flaring up old injuries. I’ve noticed real improvements in my daily life after a couple months- back pain from an old injury is basically gone, I have more energy and I feel much stronger. Definitely feel like training with Rich has made a significant impact on my progress. He is also super fun to train with and has a great sense of humor. Highly recommend!!

Rich is the best! This has been my first time working with a personal trainer and it's been excellent. We meet weekly, and he's been super helpful keeping me on track and working towards my goals. After working together for just a few months, I'm seeing amazing results and feel great. The workouts are challenging (which is what you want with a trainer!), but he's really personable and keeps things fun so the hour flies by. Rich rules! I have worked out and played sports for my entire life, but in the last few years developed a back injury which kept returning despite trying many different types of workouts. At times I could barely stand up for days after doing any form of exercise. I had never used a personal trainer before and wasn't sure if I'd like it. Rich is super welcoming and easy to talk to. He forms different workouts every session that are challenging but still fun. I've only been training for a few months and am already seeing a noticeable difference in my strength and body tone. He also is kind enough to give workouts outside of his sessions for the gym or at home depending on what's available to you. He generated a routine for me that has kept my back safe and pain-free.

Rich is also very flexible, I have a somewhat unpredictable job and he is always happy to reschedule my session. He is totally nonjudgemental and understanding. Also, everyone working at the gym is vaxxed and he added a filter to make it as COVID safe as possible. Highly recommend!!

I’ve been training with Rich 2x a week for multiple months and it is one of the best experiences I’ve had when it comes to strength training. I was looking for a neighborhood trainer that had previously played basketball to help me get into shape to play again. The results have been great: better core strength, longer endurance, and a better sense of balance and stability when playing. No two sessions have felt the same which has resulted in keeping me motivated to continue. He's super flexible with scheduling and responds quickly if you need to change or cancel. What makes Rich great is not only his attention to detail, knowledge, and attentiveness but his energy and diversity of interests. Workouts are more enjoyable when you’re training with someone who is just as interested in chatting about the NBA as the state of public education. Overall, I highly recommend Rich!

I considered several different places before I decided to train with Rich, and I could not be happier that chose him as my trainer. First, I wanted to support a local business, and I appreciated Rich’s focus on community building and passion for continuing education around physical education and community health. Second, I didn’t just want accountability and guidance from a trainer but also wanted someone who can make my workout interesting and motivating. Me before I started training with Rich: lazy AF, hated the idea of exercise, had the fitness abilities of a person in their 90s (I’m in my 30s).

I can't say enough good things about RJ. I came to him two years postpartum and having never done any real strength training before. After several months of working out with him, I'm stronger than I've ever been in my adult life, and back to my pre-baby size.

Rich is seriously the BEST! Highest recommendation possible. Here are my reasons why. He mixes up the exercises every week to keep it interesting and so I don't get too used to any one exercise. Every week is something new, no joke. We've been training well over a year so that's saying a lot. I really look forward to training with Rich every week. I truly feel like every single session is effective. He is patient, yet pushes you to do your best. Rich introduced me to boxing which I am now obsessed with and is an amazing workout. Rich is an incredible personal trainer, and I would recommend him 1,000 times over to people of any fitness level. As someone who hasn't worked out consistently in a very long time, I feel like every session is tailored and specific to my goals of overall strength, endurance, and making exercise a more consistent part of my weekly routine.

Something I worried about when I decided to get a trainer was that I'd end up with someone who is overly intense. My first session with Rich put all that concern to rest. He's always encouraging, kind, and never in a patronizing way. He gradually increases the intensity of our workouts as my overall fitness improves, and makes sure I feel comfortable and challenged every step of the way. Our sessions are also never boring. We talk about movies, writing, politics, and music we both enjoy (he always plays great stuff).

Exercise is just one component, too. Rich has also been helpful with diet recommendations and making sure I stay active on our off-days or when I'm traveling for work. You should absolutely consider working with him!
