Route 20 Fitness started in late 2014 with one goal, helping our local community achieve their fitness goals in as little time as possible with fun, exciting and constantly changing workouts. We welcome people of all fitness levels to challenge themselves in any of the 5 different style workouts available, all of which include invigorating warm-ups, fat-blasting interval training , and cool downs that focus on injury prevention. Modifications and Beginner Instructional classes are available to help those just starting their fitness journey.

Route 20 Fitness is such a great place to train! The workouts are always challenging but doable, and the coaches make sure you’re doing everything the right way. I love the mix of accountability and encouragement. It really keeps me on track. The people there are super friendly too, so it never feels intimidating. Definitely recommend if you want results and a supportive atmosphere!

As a bigger woman I've left many gyms because I've felt uncomfortable either in the facility or with the coaches. I can honestly say I came in on day one feeling comfortable with the staff, classes and atmosphere. There's no pressure to be perfect or to lift the heaviest weights out of the gate. I'm able to modify the moves and the coaches are there to help and motivate, not scream and put you down. I highly reccomend coming in for a test class to see what I mean.

Go workout here now! I was never one for working out with a group (I'd usually prefer a long run by myself) but Route 20 has totally changed that. Now I've been going for almost a year and don't plan on leaving. The classes are fun, challenging, and different everyday. If you're looking to hit goals the coaches do a great job at keeping you going and making sure you're making progress. If you're looking for a place to be active and just not sit on the couch they can work with that too. They cater to all levels of fitness and make everyone feel welcome. Definitely would 100% recommend if you're looking for a new gym to pop in for some classes!

I've been a part of Route 20 for almost 3 years. The owner & coaches push you go harder, to go heavier, and to be the best version they know you can be on a daily basis. Each day is a different, challenging workout, covering all of the muscle groups.
The best part is that you become more like family & get to know the members that attend the same sessions you regularly attend. Joining a new gym is usually nerve wracking but Route 20 welcomes new members with open arms.

I started at Route 20 on a 4-week Groupon. After only 3 weeks I started I was already seeing results, and that was without changing my eating habits. I ended up joining and have continued to renew my membership for the last six years. The workouts are challenging, but always changing so you are never bored. The trainers thoroughly explain each move before you begin, and move about the room during the entire class to correct form and help you reach your maximum potential. Staff are also open to members asking any questions they may have about form, diet or exercise. I am in the best shape I have ever been in my entire life and I credit the support and encouragement of both the staff and my fellow gym members. If you want results and are ready to work hard, give Route 20 a try.

Route 20 Fitness challenges you at your own level each and every class! The trainer stays engaged with everyone during the class, and can quickly correct your form or technique if they see you need assistance. There is a brief overview of the class with modifications given for certain moves if you need to adjust your ability. I personally have gotten much stronger and I see it help me in my every day life.

I've been going to Route 20 for a few years now and for someone who needs to modify a lot of the movements, it's exactly where I need to be for my workouts. The coaches are more than willing to give me an appropriate modification for any specific activity. Each day, the movements for the workout is always different, which is great for variety and targeting different muscle groups. Not only are the coaches and staff nice, the members are friendly & welcoming too. I can't imagine going to any other gym!

I can't say enough amazing things about this gym. I've attended many group classes and gyms around Buffalo but nothing has compared to Route 20. The workouts are intense and challenging which is just what I was looking for and what makes this gym even better is the amazing support clients provide to one and another and the constant support and motivation provided by the coaches! I've never been one to "enjoy" working out and yet this gym has completely changed my mindset and enjoyment for working out!! Absolutely worth checking out!!

Since being Medically Retired from the Marine Corps for my life altering and, nearly life ending injuries, I have had spells when I’ve found it very difficult to find the motivation to get the help I need to get in and keep in shape.
Scott and his staff at Route 20 Fitness have found the perfect balance of not pushing me too hard and not letting me slack off on myself. And, I don’t know how they do it, but they tailor this “not too hard, not too soft” technique for each individual that works out with them. I’ve seen it, over and over, with every type of person, from all walks of life.
I’ve worked out at many gyms throughout my ten years as a Recon Marine & Raider in the Marine Corps, and I can say for sure, Route 20 Fitness is a great place to get yourself where you want to be!

LOVE this place! It's a great one hour workout that hits muscle groups you didn't even know you had!! In one hour, you get cardio (HIIT) mixed with strength training. Everyday is a different workout and boy do I SWEAT!!!! People from all different age groups are in it and you go at your own pace. I love the trainers because once I started to feel stronger and more in shape- they starting pushing me to work harder and lift heavier when I never thought I could or would! Sometimes you don't realize what you can do until someone gives you a slight push to achieve it! I also do a full body scan once a month to keep my progress on track. Best thing is the scans are included in your membership!!! The scans track not only your weight but how much muscle you've gained and how many inches you have lost. I would highly recommend coming to a class to see if this is the right fit for you! I've been going here for years and I've never felt better about myself in all the years I've worked out because it's easy to stay consistent with these classes which is key to seeing results! I have been a member of this gym for over 5 years. I love it! The workouts are geared toward all fitness levels from beginner to gym enthusiasts. They change everyday ensuring all muscles groups are worked.
Scott, the owner, took extreme precautions during Covid to make sure everyone was safe, he did more than what was required by state and federal mandates and continues to work hard at ensuring a safe, healthy gym environment.

I joined Route 20 Fitness figuring it would be like every other gym I’ve belonged to. I’ll sign up for my yearly membership, start off strong for a couple weeks, then never return while paying my monthly fees. WRONG! The staff and atmosphere is so encouraging and enjoyable to be a part of that I kept going back. When I joined I couldn’t even do 1 push-up so I was the epitome of a gym member. I was taught proper work out movements and encouraged along the way by all of the employees to give it my all. They helped me learn how to work out and create a routine all while actually enjoying it. My entire mindset of health and fitness has changed because of Route 20 and I am mentally and physically the healthiest I’ve ever been! I highly recommend checking it out for yourself!

I enjoy the workouts at Route 20 Fitness! Correct form is emphasized with Larissa and Scott able to modify any of the movements to adjust to my physical ability. Don’t let your age or shape be a factor if you’re thinking of giving it a go! I’m closing in on 60 yrs and can’t stress enough how gratifying it is to walk in the studio with the workout listed and leaving 60 minutes later sweaty and feeling great, that I’m living a healthy lifestyle!

This is the best gym I’ve ever worked out at, and I’ve been to many before. The workouts are an amazing way to start my day, and they’re so versatile, working all areas of the body. Being that they're hour long workouts, it doesn’t take up too much time in my day but I still get an intense workout. Also you can work out to your skill level, so if you are tired that day or not feeling the workout, you choose how much effort to put in, and obviously that’s what you get out of it. Best coaches, best people, best workout hands down! 10/10 recommend this gym!

Trainers are great- Owner has a strange way of working with cusomers.If I could rate as a Zero based on the owner I would. I have tried several times to negotiate an end to an 18 month contract . Keep in ming this would be my second one. Due to total life changes (out of my control) and the now Covid pandemic I have not been able to attend for over a year and Scott continues to deny me ending the last three months of a nearly 2 yr old contract. Beware!!! the contract will allow you to freeze and freeze forever but no where is he responsible to end. The integrity is non existent as Scott has no issue charging for services he knows he will never supply. Beware and read all the small print!!!!!!!!

Since going to Route 20, it has completely changed my mindset of how to workout and has enhanced my athletic abilities.
I started at the gym while I was 12 weeks pregnant and the staff knew just how to adapt the workouts to meet my needs throughout the entirety of my pregnancy. The coaches and Scott were right by my side to gear me back into shape postpartum.
The staff tailors the workouts to their client’s individual needs, the trainers are very knowledgeable and the gym has a multitude of classes they offer each day.
The owner, Scott, cares about his clients and has created a “Gym Family” culture, which being part of other gyms in the past, this can be difficult for gyms to establish He’s always willing to meet with you to discuss your health goals; with that comes a state of the art machine that he invested in to assist with extreme accurate measurements/data. He can create meal plans based on your health lifestyle, offers Client Appreciation Days, and keeps the gym open 7 days a week...again, all included in a very reasonably priced membership.

I have been a member at Route 20 for 2+ Years. Each daily workout is unique and motivating. The schedule is consistent so you know which day is focused on upper body, lower body, core and full body workouts.
Safe environment, the Trainers have a keen focus on everyone's form and ensure you're doing each move the right way. They encourage me to work hard, lift heavier, move faster to ensure I push myself and have a great workout.

I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease a couple years ago. Then I developed papillary carcinoma, and had a total thyroidectomy. During this time, I was at my heaviest weight and my face looked very puffy. I was so discouraged because I read about how hard it was to lose weight with Hashimoto's, and my energy level was so low. I decided to make a change, and went back to Route 20 after leaving there several years ago. I was so out of shape, and my body was in a lot of pain due to my health( I could barely squat or get back up from doing a burpee). The trainers were and are so encouraging and motivating. Scott and Sarah guided me with helpful and healthy eating habits, along with recipes, and ways to track your food. I've been going steadily since July of 2018, and have lost 25 lbs....something I never thought I could do. I have hyperlipidemia, and my doctor is amazed at my cholesterol levels. I went from high risk range to average range!! My energy has increased, and I overall feel so much better. My friends, family, and co-workers have even noticed a huge difference. I was terrified to try this program because I didn't think I could handle the boot camp. I LOVE IT! The trainers are so supportive and really help you tailor the the class to your level. Challenging and fun! I recommend it to anyone no matter what level of fit that you are - there are plenty of sessions to pick from that can work in your schedule. I also like that the routine changes everyday, boredom is NOT an option!

I came in to take a class at 8am with a friend to try to bring them some business and we were scolded for changing our time. we walked out of the place because i was told i was lucky we can get into this class. will never recommend to anyone

I couldn't ask for a better gym!! The workouts are fantastic, the owner is amazing and the strength you see in the amazing people that workout here is so motivating. I've never seen results in any other program I've tried until I started working out here. Thanks Scott!!!
