Miss Courtney is my 5 year old son's instructor. She is incredible! She is very focused on teaching him specific techniques and holds him to a high standard during his lessons. She challenges him to be a strong and better swimmer every week, while still allowing him to feel safe and have fun! My son looks forward to coming to swim class because of her, and most importantly is confident in the water swimming on his own! Our family is constantly surrounded by water and this has been a top priority for us as parents to ensure that our children are competent swimmers!

Miss Maya is my 3 year old daughter's instructor. I brought my daughter to mommy and me classes beginning at the age of 1.5 and she screamed and cried through every single class, even with me in the water with her. I was reluctant to have her start private swim classes on her own, not knowing how she would react. Once she started working with Miss Maya (age 2) she didn't cry! Maya was so patient with her (since she would not put her head in the water for the first few months) and now she willingly jumps in, goes under and just started taking a few strokes on her own! She loves Miss Maya so much that she even pretends to be her at home when she teaches her dolls to swim!!! Miss Maya encourages her and allowed her to feel safe in the water!

Miss Jenna and Miss Jess at the front desk are both wonderful! They greet my family every time we walk in and acknowledge my children by name, which means to much! (I have noticed they acknowledge every child by name- which is so impressive!) This small detail fosters a sense of belonging and comfort for the kids! They make scheduling and having to reschedule lessons easy and flawless, they are wonderful at communication with parents and are calm, knowledgeable and understand that each child needs personalization

I just HAVE to brag on Mrs. Carla B at Saf-T-Swim!! 💙👩‍🏫 My kids absolutely ADORE her and honestly, so do I. From day one she made them feel safe, comfortable, and actually excited to get in the water (which is saying a lot for my shy little one 😅).

My niece was terrified of the water before coming to Saf-T-Swim. After just a few lessons with Miss Jenna, she now cannot get enough of the pool. Miss Jenna was patient, informative, and made the classes fun, which was so important for her. And even when we had to change the date of one of the classes, Miss Jenna was so accommodating and set us up with Miss Courtney, who was just as amazing as Miss Jenna. If you have a young child who is inexperienced when it comes to swimming, I highly recommend booking a class with either Miss Jenna or Miss Courtney.

When I brought my daughter here first I was delighted to meet with the very positive and helpful staff, their positive attitude was infectious and my daughter has progressed significantly thanks to the staff. However it has taken a turn and one of the most positive kind and caring staff members is no longer working there. I learned a long time ago “never change a winning formula” but it appears that lesson has not been learned here. Any business that wants to continue to grow and thrive would be glad to have that lady work for them. She helped us with every detail and really was the shining light in the building everyday. This leaking ceiling has never been fixed and now parents have to sit here wondering if the ceiling is gonna collapse on top of them while we wait, it’s been an ongoing issue for quite a while now and there’s no excuse for it apart from disinterest in solving the problem, as we sit here we can hear it dripping onto the wires and ceiling tiles above our heads. It has already begun to decline in my opinion and I’m not feeling as positive or safe in the building with how it looks to be declining. I don’t think we will be renewing any membership in future, if there’s no care shown for the general safety of the building then what care is there for the children and families that come here?! It’s unfortunate and needs to be addressed or sold to those who care.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! Our daughter started swimming lessons about six months ago, and she was initially terrified to be away from the wall. Now, she swims like a natural! From the very first lesson, Sasha has been nothing short of exceptional. She’s been incredibly flexible with scheduling, which is a huge help given our busy lifestyle. Sasha’s kindness, patience, and skill in teaching have made such a positive impact on our daughter’s confidence and abilities. I highly recommend this place to anyone!

I don’t have much experience with the office staff except for Jenna, but she’s been amazing as well. She’s always responsive, handling scheduling and addressing any concerns we’ve had with professionalism and care. If you asked our daughter how she feels about her lessons, she would tell you it’s the best thing ever—and she never wants to stop!

Hi all, wanted to share that Miss Giovanna is doing an AWESOME job teaching our grandchildren how to swim. She is patient, and really sticks to the itinerary when it comes to teaching them! She encourages them and makes them repeat the task until she feels it is a safe way to complete whatever exercise to learn..even if they need more time with it. She knows how to get around the "no s"...like if they say they can't do it, if they say they are scared to do it..or whatever the reason it, she gets the job done!
She is kind an has a SUPER personality! I highly recommend Miss Giovanna as a swimmer instructor for anyone just learning or who needs a refresher course on their swimming!!

Almost all the staff are pretty nice and patient except sanaya if you as a parent are looking for someone unprofessional and someone that’s snatching toys at your kid almost creaming at her just bc my daughter does not know the language not one said my daughter was deaf wt? All the parents outside saw how sanaya was treating my daughter while in those minutes she did not teach anything to my daughter and the other boy she was talking to her friend I’m not saying it’s bad talking with your coworkers but be professional and teach them something that’s why you are a “TEACHER” and that’s why we’re paying for your “SERVICE” you guys should train them better I pay for a 30 minutes class which my daughter was there for 10 minutes cuz of this dumb unprofessional girl screaming to a 3 year old there’s ways how to talk to little girls train them better if they don’t have patient for kids they shouldn’t be working with kids

We love Saf-T-Swim! Our instructor Gina is great with our son- she is super patient and adapts to his needs. Our son is on the spectrum, so it's very important for us to have someone flexible with the lesson structure. Clean facility. Desk staff are friendly. Teachers are really young and some of them don’t have a work ethic, my daughter’s instructor was always chatting with her friend and when I approached her about the issue, the manager accused me of threatening a minor, she didn’t even bother to call me and ask me what was the issue. I felt so disrespected. I was late for 7 minutes and the instructor had a attitude but you can chat on my daughter’s sección with no problem. Meanwhile I’m paying for private sections (60 dollars). And she can’t as courtesy give her the extra 7 minutes, she run the office complaining about it, and left my daughter with someone else.

They work so well with my 18 month old son who loves the water. He's been going since he was 1. Now he knows the basics of how to hold his breath and how to get out of the pool. Did the parent and tot class for an entire session (2 months), my 5 month old son loved it and the instructor was nice but we did the exact same things every single class and he did not even begin how to learn how to float on his own.

When one of the classes was cancelled due to a child throwing up in the pool, I went to do the makeup class which ended up also being cancelled due to the same reason. I went to the front desk to schedule my (free) makeup once again with Jennifer the supervisor, told her the day and time that worked and she said it was done. I then get emails saying i am signed up for the next session and my card waa charged $146 which was never authorized. I also get charged for a one on one swim lesson which never happened ($36.50)...I call to ask what is going on and to get a refund and jennifer is extremely rude, will not give me a refund or let me speak to her manager. This goea on for 2 weeks until the manager finally calls to say they can give me a partial refund!! I never got to do any maekup classes and they basically charged me for 5 classes that i did not sign up for or attend!!

This was an absolutely infuriating experience and was dealt with extremely unprofessionally. I would have signed up again even though we didnt learn much, my son still loved it but now me and all my friends with babies will never set foot in this place ever again! I will never recommend saf t swim...they should hire nicer people and should actually listen to what their customers are saying instead of taking advantage of my card being on file. I ended up filing a claim with my bank to get my money back.

The staff is very nice, the instructor my daughter has is great along with others my kids have tried. There is a locker room for showering, multiple changing rooms, and a viewing room if you are watching your kids. They even put a vending machine, which is a death trap if you have kids there with you watching an older sibling.

I would recommend this location to other people. Just make sure it is an instructor you want.

My daughter has been going to Safety Swim, Riverhead, NY since August 2020. She started when she was 4 years old and now she is 6.

In two and a half years, she completed 5 levels. She started as a crying underwater swimmer to swimming professionally. Safety swim also taught my daughter safety techniques/strategies incase of any water related accidents. This was the original reason why we started. We achieved that and plus some more.

I recommend safety swim to any family members who are looking to teach their kids how to swim professionally but yet in a fun way.

Not a very good experience. They constantly canceled lessons once with less than 45 minutes notice and once not until we showed up did we find out it was canceled. During one lesson the instructors sat and had a full conversation with each other while my children sat on the edge of the pool. The make-up instructors had no idea of my children’s swimming ability.

I have 2 main issues with this place and it has to do with new ownership, and even more so the life guards. First and lessor issue is the new ownerships change of rules and pricing. The removal of free swim before classes is disappointing especially for the amount of money they charge for just a half hour a week I can put my son in so many other alternatives that would alot more time for activity. MAINLY I HAVE AN ISSUE WITH THE LIFE GUARDS! I HELD MY SONS BIRTHDAY PARTY THERE LAST NIGHT AND AS HE GOT TIRED HE TREADED INTO DEEPER WATER AND COULD NOT STAY AFLOAT. HE WENT UNDER 3 TIMES BEFORE THE LIFE GUARDS WERE YELLED AT BY ANOTHER PARENT TO GET OFF HIS PHONE AND DO HIS JOB AND THE OTHER TWO WERE CHATTING! BECAUSE HE WAS TOO BUSY TEXTING OR BROWSING FACEBOOK MY SON ALMOST DROWNED. THE FACT THAT I HAD TO ACTUALLY MAKE THE REQUEST FOR HIS PHONE TO BE TAKEN AWAY SO MY SON WOULDNT DROWN IS REDICULOUS AND COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE.

After trying 4 different swimming classes for my daughter- at 4 years old we finally found a wonderful place. Saf-T swum is wonderful, and quite frankly, a relief. Everyone is SO nice and helpful, from the front desk to the teachers. Their life guards are so on the ball and take their role seriously, and they have a pool that was designed for swim classes- so it’s shallow for the entirety of the length and kept very warm. They also have really cute incentives for the kids, celebrating their graduation to different ability echelons. I would give them 10 stars if I could.
