I like this Y very much. Full of wonderful experiences. I do find Studio 1 upstairs adjacent to track very difficult to hear instructors. Itβs an extremely echoing space and a bit hard to find. The rest of the facility is great, including most of the staff. Remember the smiling positive experiences. The other times are to be forgiven.

Saw this place on a traveler's app as a $5 shower, so rerouted my drive to get here. The front desk people are crazy unwelcoming, plus they collected a ton of my personal information, ID, emergency contact, the final straw was her saying she had to take my photo to let me in. This is not a gym with shower access, this is like entering a government building. Did not use their showers after all, im sure they are just as gross. Avoid

The Saratoga Regional YMCA is a beautiful facility. I've only been going there for about 5 weeks. They have a Chair Yoga class on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:00 a.m. that is hosted by Dan L. This style yoga class is geared more toward older folks and people with limited mobility. Dan L. also has a meditation class that follows at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If you never tried meditation, he is definitely the person to help you slow down and relax into the current moment. I can't say enough about Dan's commitment and dedication to guiding people to healthy bodies and healthy minds. Dan L. is truly an asset to the YMCA.

People scrolling through their phones while standing next to or sitting on a weight machine. Twice Iβve tried to use the weights but was told they are using it and still have to finish their rounds. Get off your phone and complete their workout or step aside so I can start mine! There should be a policy in place for this so others can enjoy the amenities included with their membership fees! Iβve had to drive to another location to get my workout in β¦.unfair!!!!!

Good thing I watch my kid in the open swim time because no life guards pay attention like they are supposed to. They open supply closets and walk in them with their back turned completely away from the pool. I see it over and over. Inattentive lifeguards chatting it up. They either flip out if a kid is not tested for the deep end or they donβt check at all like just now not checking if my daughter's friend passed a deep water swim test. When I ask the front desk who I can tell- I am told to fill out a little piece of paper. Locker room is carpet and burns my eyes with a mildew smell. And canβt the locker room cleaner come before or after pool hours? They are always pushing their big cleaning cart through the locker room. Nothing will be addressed that I have said in this review but at least if someone is planning on coming they can know to watch their own kid bc they lifeguards donβt seem to follow much training on attentiveness.

Needed a day away to workout then relax using the pool, hot tub and sauna. This YMCA will not disappoint. However the pool schedule is somewhat limited if you are lane swimmer and the weigh machines are outdated and horrible.

A place that used to feel like my second home. I have friends ranging from 8-91 years old that I consider family. I was stopped at the front desk and ridiculed in front of my community by a lady with long curly hair and glasses. I was also singled out and told to put my bag off the gym floor (which I complied with) while 8 other members had their bags out with no direction to them. Feeling unsafe and uncomfortable in a place which SAVED MY LIFE. The YMCA doesnβt truly care about their members the way they say they do. Do better!

It used to be okay before their expansion. Now, it is filled with mostly older folks, teens, and children. This place caters to them and serious athletes or body builders are left feeling in the way of what has become a day care center. The YMCA should have just one place geared toward young adults who strive for athletic gains. After all, the young adults are the ones who end up paying out of pocket the most. No discounts for us and no rich parents to pay our monthly fees.

Great place to go to! They update it often, the staff are usually friendly! It can get crowded at times around 4-5, but still a good place.
The loss of one star is for: the water filters they are rarely replaced, or staff does not know how to. Also the menβs locker room can get pretty βmustyβ

Just to keep everyone aware of how the Kidzcare is run- If your child says they didnβt have breakfast, they will believe them and call CPS. Doesnβt matter how long youβve gone there and that the child is clearly well taken care of. They will not speak to you, just call CPS and take your account information to give the CPS worker your address, name and number.

The facility is big and holds a lot of activities, and while I appreciate that, the older displays on the cardio machines is a let down. Most other places I go to have video screens, cable TV, virtual trails to run through and a much better experience. I do have to say the menβs locker room 18+ is just gross. It has an open floor plan that allows the smell from the toilets to fill the entire area. The showers are right across from the toilet stools so again they smell horrible. The size of this location and the amount of use it gets, I expected better. I think Iβll wait till I get back home to shower and work out. I did mention it to the staff and found they were a bit dismissive. I do not recommend this facility.

Happy with my decision to switch gyms. Between the indoor track and boxing bags upstairs for a more solo workout to the variety of machines downstairs thereβs always a spot for me to get a good sweat sesh. Bonus of the sauna and hot tub for recovery! Sometimes I think the general cleanliness could use improvement but the only thing I wish there was a more open spot in the gym for stretching/warmup. All the employees have been wonderful!

If you'd like a good assaulting, swing into the sauna with a water bottle. The lifeguards here will literally rip the door off the hinges and belittle any hydrating chump they wish. It's a power thing really, nothing to do but scream at the people. I've seen it happen several times now! Everybody, absolutely taken-back when it occurs. Tread carefully out there.

In the past have been a member at a diversity of YMCAβs around the nation ranging from inner-city locations to posh suburbans ones. With the understanding they are trying to serve an enormous cross section of people every day, I feel this one missed some marks. This community is so affluent, and yet something in the design/ execution of this location got tangled. It seems to be somewhat understaffed on the front end, and I hold the Y accountable for this due to the payscale they offer. The fitness center itself is small relative to the building, with equipment so jammed in that social distancing (even just in a cold & flu season, never mind a pandemic) is straight up impossible. Seems millions of dollars were spent and a giant lobby built but someone never thought to build in even a small dedicated stretching area in the gym; requiring members to instead perch awkwardly between the crammed in machines if they donβt want to go to an entirely different floor and stretch in an open aerobics studio. Lastly, the sheer volume of televisions blaring mostly panic-driven news channels, combined with loud/bad music, makes for total overload for anyone who may be dealing with sensory processing disorders, hearing issues, or any one of the myriad other commonplace issues of a community βfor allβ this organization is meant to serve. Changes are needed. Calm things down and knock down some walls, maybe.

Nice facilities, terrible rec sports league management! The rec leagues seem to just be a money grab for this YMCA branch. After signing up for a not so cheap league, our season long dates were changed last minute with no option for a refund. We also had our game schedules changed last minute on multiple occasions for what seemed to be admin related issues. I ended up missing half of the league games I payed forβ¦talk about a complete waste of money. Our league was incredibly mismanaged and the league rules were changed multiple times without notifying any players. I recommend staying away from these overpriced and mismanaged rec βleaguesβ. They are simply not worth the money!

The weight/cardio room is absolutely frigid, it feels like walking into a refrigerator when you open the door. Mens locker room, despite being recently remodeled smells awful. Why in the world would you install carpet in a locker room? Not necessarily the staff but the managment is extremely rude and unfriendly but that goes for all of the Saratoga County Y's. All their ridiculous rules and regulations sometimes makes you feel like you are at a minimum security prison instead of a family gym

So I bring my three children to this why very frequently as soon as we get to the swimming area woman named Beth comes up to my children gets up in their face and start saying that they need to wear a bracelet and I'm like what are you talkin about and she's like if they're not going in the deep end they need to get a bracelet on and I'm like this is never gone on before and she says this is been going on for the past two years and I said why I've been coming here for the past 6 years so she argues with me and then she finally sees my husband putting life jackets on my children and she goes old will if they're wearing math and they don't need the bracelet so she stared at us the entire time that we were in the pool men's all feeling comfortable including my children and it was all caught on camera after that after all the swimming after cleaning up showering getting ready to leave as we're walking out a man named John was extremely rude to my 6 and 7 year olds yelling at them that they need to put this little coinmach that goes into the locker and it didn't work and he argued with me and my children for at least a full minute something needs to be done about these two workers they should not be working with the public or around children because they were both inappropriate around my children I hope something is done soon so I don't have to contact other people thank you

My daughter was turned away for summer camp because they changed the age of camp to 6,7 and 8th grade only. Even though the website clearly stated camp was for kids up to entering into 10th grade. It stated this still even 2 wks after camp registration had started, I would not be so mad if it was changed prior. The YMCA handled this matter very poorly and clearly do not want to help kids/teens in need summer enrichment anymore.

Could be a great place to work out and bring the family. Problem is the hours are too inconsistent. Hours change throughout the week and then when you get used to that they change with the season too. And what makes no sense is they shorten the hours during peak tourist season when there are more people. Lastly i dont care for the condition of the locker rooms and pool area. The people who frequent this place have no respect for others in their behavior or hygiene. If not for the highly dedicated staff and well maintained equipment this would be a one star recommendation.

Excellent Staff, Excellent Value
We moved here from another state and found the staff to be extremely helpful and interested in our needs. The pool has great swimmer's etiquette and the lifeguards are there to help things run smoothly when the exercise lanes get busy. There are plenty of machines as well as an excellent indoor track. Pricing is very competitive and there are several other "Y's" in the area that will respect the entry credential of this one. They offer i-phone based access, plenty of parking and separate locker rooms for adolescents. Employees are uniformly helpful and responsive. Great job, great attitude, well done!
