Itβs been a month and I already see a difference in my body and mind!!!! The coaches are great! The owner/coach Charlie, is tough but wants to see succeed. I will definitely keep going and will recommend to any newbies that are considering CrossFit but are nervous to try it out.

I have joined SC Fitness around 70 days back and i can proudly say that it is changing my life to a great deal. My back and overall fitness issues seems like going away. Can see good change in strength and stamina but long way to go. This place is very clean follow all covid protocols and workouts every day is totally different which is fun and not boring at all. All the team members motivate each other. I can just say thanks to the whole system.

Joined SC Fitness a little over a year ago and I'll never join any other gym . I can literally say it changed my life. Since joining I've lost 20lbs, gotten stronger, changed my diet and I owe it all to the knowledgeable coaches. The workouts are fun and challenging for people of all fitness levels.

After being away from working out for quite some time, I joined the Pulse program at SC Fitness and am so glad I did. My enjoyment in working out has returned and after only one month I feel better and stronger both physically and mentally. Charlie, along with his staff of trainers are very knowledgeable and motivating, along with having upbeat, positive personalities. I would recommend SC Fitness to anyone, regardless of age or ability, as the staff is always ready to help by adapting the workout to fit your needs.

Scary (read: Intense) going in, but you'll feel amazing!
I felt exhausted just watching a class on my very first day. The workouts looked intense and terrifying.
Now 2 months into my membership and I still feel a bit 'scared' but show up anyway. Everyone is so positive, motivating and encouraging - students and coaches alike.
No matter your level you will be pushed to the edge of your comfort zone. But you'll get through it, and you'll come out feeling sore and amazing, too tired to continue but excited to jump into your next class.

B.) This just feels completely necessary - given the experience I've had with them.
I've been going to SC CrossFit 165 since the end of October, and have been more than satisfied with my experience. From the beginning learning stages (Which for me .. never seem to end, LOL) to a now somewhat "okay" CrossFitter, these 5 stars are well deserved! The team pays close attention to each of its members, making sure that the movements are being executed safely. They continuously push you to the limit, motivationally of course, and constantly inspire their members to do & achieve more! Teaching and educating throughout the way. Also, the community aspect of this "Box" is another reason to love SC CrossFit 165, as there is nothing that bonds people together more than doing something that is physically intense and difficult!
I recommend this box to all, and will continue to boast about it!

I used to go to the gym alot, but only could get so far with my fitness level. I decided to look for the next best thing where I could get fitter, stronger, faster, and loose a bit of weight if I could. When i joined up with Scarborough Crossfit, I found exactly what I was looking for. In just 2 months I lost almost 5 kg, and got much stronger then I could have by going to the gym and following my old routine.
When you join crossfit, you dont just join some workout class, you join a team who are there for the same reasons you are, get fit and stay fit. Its the same people everyday who you get to know over time, and its those people who help you push harder. Not to mention the instructors who are there supporting you in your goals, teaching you the right techniques and exerises.
Personally, when I first came over I didnt think it would be for me as I have a severe knee injury and didnt think I could keep up. I met Pete who runs and teaches Scarborough crossfit and told him about my problem. He told me what I could do to build up my knee and helped me throughout the time I was there with my progress. I have to say I am grad I stuck at it as not only my fitness level is up, my knee feels much better.
So, if you are looking to better yourself physically then I strongly suggest you give it go! You would be surprised of what you can achieve!!

Shortly after my daughterβs first birthday, I realized that fat, old, and out of shape was not going to work for me. Inspired by numerous CrossFit documentaries on Netflix and an attractive Groupon offer, I joined SC CrossFit 165. I quickly fell in love with everything about the gym: the world-class coaches, the friendly and inviting community, the clean facility, and of course the best workout I have ever had in my life. Since i wrestled in high school, which is over two decades ago, I was familiar with a high intensity workout; although, nothing prepared me for the journey I would take over the next month. Luckily, everyone begins with the CrossFit fundamentals classes; I think I took six or seven of those classes. The coaches helped me lay the foundation for the workouts of the day. Another aspect that I love is that the workout scales to everyoneβs ability level. I never feel that I canβt do a workout because I am not at the same performance level as other members. While I have been a member for six weeks, my life has changed; I still have a lot of work to do to become fit, but I already feel better and get more out of my day.

I am now in my 6th week at 165. My concerns with Crossfit have always been getting injured and dealing with the misconceptions of the "Crossfit culture". All that went away in the first week. The coaches here are so attentive to each person at the gym. They are constantly watching your form on all exercises and make sure you go at an appropriate pace. More than once they've told me to use lower weight in order to work my way up in a safe way. They are always showing people how to modify based on injury or just to work up to the exercise. There are all sorts of people here from young to older and not in shape at all to very in shape. Everyone pushes and supports each other and there is absolutely no judging. Bottom line is I've seen great results already(so has my wife!) and I would never push myself this hard on my own at a regular gym. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

The best part of Cross fit is Team work. Coaches shuffle workout plan each day that rejuvenate the mind and nerves. After 12 sessions I feel more energetic than before. I've done a few WODs at other boxes around Long Island, and I can honestly say that the experience at 165 has been the best of all of them. The focus on fundamentals here, perfecting movements to avoid injury, and working at your pace to achieve your goals in my opinion sets them apart. At the same time, the coaches will motivate you and won't let you slack, so that they are constantly getting your best effort, and you are consistently getting a great workout. It's why I signed up and why I'll keep coming back for more. You can't go wrong with 165.

As of today 5/77/2016. I have been to 15 classes. It was hard at first but everyday it gets easier, cross fit 165 is changing me a little every WOD i went on a 1 day trial class and signed up. The next day
The coaches help and motivate and it's a work out at your own level and other members are always willing to help to add motivation for you to finish
I have not worked out in years. And going to regular gym seemed not to be for me this time around, I could not motivate myself to walk in and sing up for a year commitment and just go about doing my own thing. I done that for years and packed on the pounds
Crossfit165. Sets a WOD plan for the day to follow. It seems to be just what I need left to my own devices I find I can't get a better work out then this. I can certainly see why once you start you will want to keep coming

Today I just completed my second full week of crossfit. I am really impressed with the level of instruction I have received to date. Initially you take a few classes to go over basic technique then you can take any class you like. I feel like i am progressing in both strength and stamina. I am not a kid (53 years old) and am still able to do the entire workout. There is a diverse age range of people taking the classes. Everyone is friendly and supportive. Definitely recommend if you want to see quick result!

I have been doing Cross-fit for 2 years. I recently relocated and had to switch boxes. To say I was reluctant is an understatement. I loved my old box, but the staff and members at 165 have made my transition a great experience. The programming is fantastic.The coaching is attentive, supportive and encouraging. Joining SC CrossFit 165 has been one of the best decisions I've ever made. The coaching staff goes above and beyond to teach, motivate and help you reach any goals you set for yourself. Ask the non-Crossfit community about what it is, and you'll probably hear something like this:
"What? CrossFit? You have to be in shape already to do CrossFit! I'm too far out of shape to do Crossfit! It's not for me! Plus, my sister's, friend's, aunt's brother did Crossfit one time and he spontaneously combust and never walked again. Like ever."
NOT AT CROSSFIT 165.
If you were ever remotely interested in CrossFit, 165 is the box to try it at! The coaches there are all certified Crossfit trainers, the owner is a Masters Level athlete who went to the Games this summer. There is a knowledgeable staff, who know how to scale down even the toughest workout to meet everyone's needs. Special attention is paid to form, to avoiding injury, and educating the community to the proper ways to safely get yourself in shape. The staff will work extra with you (should you require it,) give you education on nutrition and the role it plays in health, and make you feel welcome to the community (the members do this to...we're kinda awesome too...no lie.)
Young and old shine at CrossFit 165, from the children who enroll in the kids classes, to young and old, healthy or with pre-existing injury.)
All boxes are not created equal.
You have nothing to lose. Plus then when you hear "the people" talk about it, you'll have something more in life to smile about.

I don't normally write reviews but felt this one was well worth spending the time on. I'm finishing up my third month here and couldn't be happier with my choice. I had been doing crossfit for a year and a half and my old box suddenly closed. Of course I freaked out. I knew the regular gym wouldn't be an option. I looked around at other places but immediately felt a good vibe when walking in the door at 165. I always liked the CF wods but after being at CS165 for the past 3 months I fully understand the obsession crossfitters feel about not just the WODs but their box . Everything about this place works. The coaches, Charlie, Joe and Angelo are professional, knowledgeable, MOTIVATING and patient but not scared to call you out when you aren't giving it your all (why the hell be there if you're not, right?! ). The programming is amazing and I appreciate the thought that seems to go into it (my 43 year old self doesn't need a rest day several times a week because I can't move , I feel my fitness level and strength increasing by the day). The community is exactly that - a community. It's a great group of people of all ages and level who make sweating and pushing through each WOD fun. I recommend it to anyone who is looking to try it out and hesitant to try out CF or is already involved with CF. Totally welcoming and supportive .

I have been attending classes at SC Crossfit 165 for over a month. When I started I never attended a Crossfit class before. I didn't know the moves and my idea of going to the gym was running on a tread mill at the purple place. The coaches are knowledgeable and helped me understand proper form. By working with my coach we set goals for my nutrition as well as my fitness. The coaches and members create a supportive environment for any fitness level. If your looking to lose weight, get better at your sport or just want to be a better you this is the place.
