Sessions is my go-to! All the trainers (shout-out to Luke, Meghan, and Tai) are encouraging, offer corrections, and bring energy to each class. They whipped me into shape after not exercising for years and hating the gym. I finally have biceps!

When I walked into Session Training back in March, I was only a few months postpartum. I barely recognized myself, my body felt foreign, my confidence was low, and even the thought of working out in a group setting felt intimidating. However, from my very first classes, first with Taylor, Britt, and Luke, then Cole and Megan, and the front-desk hero, Linden, the Session team changed that for me.

They welcomed me with such warmth and zero judgment. Each trainer met me exactly where I was, offering encouragement and safe modifications for my healing body while never letting me doubt that I was exactly where I needed to be. They celebrated every small win until those small wins turned into strength and energy I didn’t think I’d feel again so soon.

Because of them, I kept showing up for myself, week after week, month after month. Six month laters, I feel stronger and more capable, and more like myself again. Session isn’t just a gym, it became my sanctuary, and a true community of people who lift you up when you need it most by creating a space where healing and growth felt possible.

If you’re in a vulnerable season, postpartum or otherwise, Session Training is the rare place where you can safely rebuild both your body and your confidence.

Session is my favorite gym around! They have multiple locations that run at different times to fit my changing schedule. I love it bc I can just show up and they have well thought out programming that builds muscle, works in cardio, and add variety of exercises so I don’t get bored. The staff and the trainers are the best. They’re all very helpful when it comes to explaining movements and making everybody feel welcome/safe at the gym. All of the studios are very clean as well, I’d highly recommend!

Best boutique gym in Brooklyn! All the coaches are amazing! Keep the studio clean, the schedule is great, what more can I say? I’m obsessed. Their programming is also on point. They have a great community happy hour and I’ve met most of my friends here too. Not too expensive either.

Joining Session this year has become the best investment in my mental and physical health. I've never seen so many amazing coaches in one place, putting the effort to know your name among 10-20 other people in the class, and giving you an individual approach. The amount of support goes above and beyond. It's all about the community, support, and lots of fun. One of the best studios I’ve been to. I’ve gone to manyyy different studios through ClassPass, and this studio is the only place where I have an unlimited monthly membership. The classes they offer are well-rounded in programming. The instructors here are attentive and care for your well-being- making sure you aren’t going to injure yourself. They cater to all fitness levels. (I never did any strength training before joining). It might appear intimidating from the outside, but trust me, it’s not, and you need to go try it out for yourself. Highly recommend!

Session is the best gym in the city, hands down. I’ve tried lots of different classes and boutique fitness places, from Pilates to boxing, and Session’s programming has given me the best results.

Their programming is structured in a way where you aren’t totally unfamiliar with the movements every class, but they also mix it up enough to not get stale. There’s always room to challenge yourself, and the coaches are top notch.

I also appreciate all the other touchpoints that are super thoughtful— easy to use signup app, really, really friendly staff and a clean, well organized environment.

There’s like a thousand more things to say but overall I just love coming here and recommend it to everyone!!!

I started coming to Session after finishing PT for an ankle injury. At first, I was hesitant and worried it would be too much for my ankle to get back into a 50-min class... but all the trainers here are amazing, they check-in often and make sure you have modifications for every move from the get-go. 7 months in, I'm stronger than I've ever been and finally found a place that I truly enjoy and want to come back to. Every week is unique, so I still feel challenged (+ don't get bored) and still classes are easy to follow. The only thing I wish was different is that I had joined earlier! tysm, y'all are amazing! :)

SESSION is SPECIAL. We found this gym in the midst of the pandemic at their south location and it gave us life. We were yearning for a community and a place that felt like home. We got exactly that. The new north space is welcoming and warm. Coaching is hands on and next level - they care about the way you move and make it a priority to help you get better. Staff makes sure after the first time you come in that they address you by name. That’s important and hard to find in NYC. Recommend 10/10.

I’m so happy there is finally a gym in the neighborhood for strength training classes. I have taken a few different instructors already, and all have been amazing to train with and attentive to all the people in the class. I take at least three classes a week and feel so strong and fit after.
