I love this studio! The studio staff is amazing and kind. The instructors are phenomenal! Each instructor has a different style and something that makes them magical. The studio is spacious and full of light and all of their props and mats are sparkling clean. Community is friendly, diverse in skill level so you always feel you belong.

I’m glad I finally found Shambhala. They have created an inviting, community centered space for people to move their body. They offer yoga, Pilates, dance, and host a variety of workshops that I look forward to trying in the near future. Highly recommend and the membership prices are great!

First time here, and I had a stellar experience in the community class. The studio is bright and airy, and everyone is friendly. Willow, our instructor, is out of this world. Gonna find her on the schedule and book again.

I have been a member at Shambhala for a few months, and it has been such a wonderful experience. Amazing teachers, a great variety of classes, and a welcoming vibe that makes beginners and experienced yogis alike feel like they belong.
I especially enjoy the faster faced intermediate level classes on Monday and Friday. But I also love the Flow & Restore classes for a bit of movement and stretch. In general, the vinyasa classes at this studio are paced very beginner friendly.
They also have mat storage for members, which was a huge plus. I also am a huge fan of the guest passes that come with some memberships - it’s been so nice to bring my partner or a friend!

Congolese dance class: instructor was very sweet, but class wasn't organized and choreo kept changing (not intentionally). Wasn't the energizing class I was hoping for!

I've been going on and off to the yoga studio for about a year now and wanted to recommend it. It's a very welcoming and friendly place. Morning classes with Lia are challenging but not too much; the flexibility classes with Adriana are also terrific. They're also super sweet on a personal level. I've also taken Pilates with Jennie and been impressed too. Overall, it's a great neighborhood studio with a chill clientele and nice vibes overall.

If you go to Shambhala Yoga & Dance Center, don’t miss the Thursday night Congolese African Dance class. Funmilayo leads the class with such care. She makes it energetic, upbeat, while also slow and restorative. I’m not a dancer but Funmilayo’s teaching style allows me to let go and become one.
The other standout is Tara’s Friday night Candlelight Wind Down, which I almost don’t want to mention out of a selfish desire to keep it small. Tara is supremely talented. You can feel her genuine infectious desire to help everyone feel their best. Shambhala is a fabulous studio and community.

I have been to Shambhala roughly 5-10 times I want to say, over the course of the last year. I have always had a great experience, with hands on loving teachers, and a welcoming space for all community members, which is amazing. I hate to write this review, but I am doing so to warn other students and members of what I experienced last week. To keep it short, I came to an evening class, put my things in a cubby, wallet, keys, headphones, then shoved my big puffy coat in front of my things, to hide and keep secure, like I have done plenty of times before. People were in and out between the class switch over, a normal busy yoga studio. I end the class, taught by Tara, which was amazing. But as I go to get my things, I pull out my coat and see my $400 headphones are not there, my wallet and keys are, but no headphones. I ask the front desk employee / volunteer if they have seen them, and I am reassured that they were here the whole time and didn’t see anything. I am told to check the bathroom, look around, other students are helping me look, while the employee isn’t doing much other than looking nervous. I scour the front room for a while, looking everywhere and have concluded they were stolen, as many people were in and out and it probably just looked like someone was taking their things home. I understand it is not the receptionist’s job to be a security guard, it happens. But no accountability was taken on behalf of the studio, no apology, no returned phone calls or emails. I feel very violated and do not want to return to this studio, I am shocked at how they handled, or lacked in handling this horrible situation with no apology. I walked by the next day and saw the window was somewhat smashed, so maybe the studio is being targeted idk? Whatever the case is, just warning people to keep an eye on their things and not bring anything valuable to class, hidden or not. Great classes and teachers, affordable and welcoming, but with my situation I just felt gaslighted and invalidated by management / no customer service, not fun.

Stopped by for a class with April (I think that was the instructor’s name) and absolutely loved it. Beautiful balance of mindfulness, breathing, and asanas. It was both physically and mentally engaging and challenging. And the instructor had a very grounding and positive presence. Thanks for a great class — would love to return and plan to!

The studio is very clean and well kept, and well equipped. The staff is very friendly and the environment overall is very pleasant and welcoming. The classes I've taken (mostly in the mornings) are very well planned, the teachers are professional, guidance is clear and there is no pressure if you have to take a break from the flow and rest, in your own yoga pose or just have a child pose.

Shambhala Yoga & Dance was the greatest gift I gave myself to start the year 2020 in the best possible way! :))))
The Center is just perfect: it offers a wide range of amazing teachers and practices all extremely professional and thorough. I discovered approaches to yoga that I was not familiar with, along with the best Vinyasa and flow techniques that I have been practicing for longer.
The studios are beautiful and full of great positive energy. Everybody is kind, respectful and open. I recommend this to everybody!

This place is excellent. I haven't done yoga in nearly 15 years but this studio is excellent. There are many different styles of teacher here, and going to different classes throughout the week works different parts of the body and gets you into different kinds of grooves. The price is right, but that's not enough to keep me coming back, it's mostly that it's an excellent community of teachers and students, who are friendly and cooperative. The only complaint I have is that I wish there were more yoga classes at night, as I'm busy working/commuting from 9am-7pm everyday, and there is usually only one class I can make at night. I wish I could be more flexible about which classes I can attend during the week, or attend more often, but it's just not possible. There are about ten classes per day, but I can only choose from one, maybe two... The weekends are good, though.

I unpretentiously bought a coupon to try yoga at Shambhala for one month and it totally changed my routine for the better. I had only tried yoga when I was a teen, and wasn't sure that it was for me. Now as an adult, much more aware of the importance of self-care (and also involved in activities that are pretty stressful), I found myself open to yoga and it's been transformative. My focus and ability to handle (and heal from) physical pain have improved a lot, and this studio is at the core of it. The teachers at Shambhala are great and the environment is welcoming. Can't recommend this place enough, especially for those who need help with physical pain and/or stress handling.

I have enjoyed Yoga and Pilates classes at Shambala. The instructors are knowledgable and the Pilates instructors add a dash of appropriate humor to the classes, the mats they provide for rental are high quality, and the location is convenient. I've taken about 10 classes and I've enjoyed them all. They have 2 studios - one big, one small, the instructors are approachable, and the atmosphere is familial. Feels just like a neighborhood spot. They don't charge you a fee for cancellations but you are encouraged to cancel before the class begins so others from the waitlist can join. Sign-up for classes are easy through the mind-body app and its rare that I have difficulty getting into class due it being full. Most importantly, I started taking classes in my 28th week of pregnancy and all the instructors do a fantastic job of providing modifications for me.
