[solidcore] is a high-intensity, low-impact strength training workout on a custom-built reformer machine. It utilizes slow, controlled movements to push your muscles to the point of failure in order to build back stronger.

Probably the best solidcore location I’ve been to! The staff go above and beyond to provide the best experience. Kate at the front desk was SO nice and friendly. Katherine (the instructor) was the best solidcore instructor I’ve ever had. Knew everyone’s names, cued each movement so well and clear, I wasn’t lost ever. I will definitely be back!

Can't recommend solidcore in general unless you have gotten 1-on-1 instruction on all the moves, because it's NOT the type of workout where you can easily follow audio cues. It's especially challenging when the instructor is not demonstrating every single move multiple times for anyone that can't see well through other attendees.
The intro class doesn't go over enough moves, and the learning curve is just too steep for anyone that doesn't already have a strong background in physical therapy, pilates reformer, strength training, and has received a very thorough demo of the equipment. They can do a much better job onboarding by video but they don't.
Some of the machines need to be better maintained; they shouldn't be used if some parts are not working.
If you live/work nearby, go to Pure Barre instead for a more effective workout and a nicer/cleaner space.
If you're looking for a studio in the caliber of YogaSpark Tribeca (RIP), DanceBody Tribeca, or Chelsea Piers (Chelsea), solidcore FiDi is sadly not it. I was hoping it would be since it's at 20 Pine, but alas, the aesthetics/vibe feel like Crunch circa early 2000s despite charging MORE than SoulCycle. No frills bare bones bathroom, changing room, and lockers. No showers.
Their peak hour classes are often fully booked so I guess I'm in the minority and they have some loyal fans?
If you're new to the area and picky like me, ask for a tour first BEFORE spending $ on a trial class.

The classes here are too upper body heavy, you spend most of the class holding yourself up by your elbows or hands so there’s really no reason to need a 3 gray spring upper body workout with each class. They used to have a ton of classes without upper body work which would be full every week, but despite the demand for it they’ve been phasing these classes out because Solidcore doesn’t care about retaining their clients

It was my first time trying a solidcore class and I was worried because I heard the workouts are intense and fast. Coach Sara was so welcoming and helped me keep up with the class. I really appreciated her cues and assistance with setting up the reformer between exercises. I will definitely be back!

Such a fun and intense class!! If Angela Joy is instructing you MUST ATTEND. She's awesome!
Sidenote: The Main Address is 20 Pine, however, the entrance is on the other side of the Plaza.

Hi. I never thought I will be writing a review like that, especially when I was constantly visiting this place and really liked it. I’ve been promoting it through my social media and as a place to go. But today, March 28th something awful happened to me. I was late to the class and had emergency situation on my way there. When I came in there was a coach at front desk, red hair one named Jack. When I asked if I can attend any class after in case if there is a free spot, he started being rude with me and kept telling me that this is not possible at any cost. I have to say that I’ve had similar situation before and everyone was super attentive to their customers and always found a solution. I felt actively victimized, he was very aggressive towards me and that was his personal desicion not to do anything about it and be aggressive on top of that. I can’t express my disappointment with Solidcore FiDi. I was expecting a better service from you guys. You’re not a cheap company and representatives like Jack working against your reputation.

The buffalo chicken wings are pretty good.
Old fashioned, on point.

smaller studio for solidcore classes. a little hard to find (you have to go to the back of the building) I personally enjoy smaller locations they tend to be less hectic than the larger ones.

I do some pretty tough barbell workouts, but this may be even harder. Bit awkward to adjust to the machine the first time but as of my 2nd time, I'm all about it.

I was pretty disappointed with my class here. I'm in shape but new to pilates and was excited to get started and learn more about it. Initially seeing the nice machines, the nice facility, everything seemed very promising. My class got very crowded though and the instructor ended up not having a station to do her workouts with, and so she just resorted to trying to explain everything without actually ever demonstrating them. I felt really lost and uncertain about how to use my machine properly. When I asked for help from my instructor as she walked by she told me to take a look at my neighbor.....um ma'am I came here to watch an actual instructor do pilates and learn pilates from the instructor. I don't want to watch and reference another student at the class, who knows if their form/ the way they are doing it is right?
I along with a few other attendees were visibly lost and I felt like I didn't get much out of my class. At certain points I looked up and it looked like people were doing a different workout or just doing their own thing on the machine lol.
Adding to this I felt borderline unsafe / like I was going to fall off the machine at certain times (standing on top of the machine and balancing one leg on a moving platform) because I didn't have a reliable reference point to base things off of.
Maybe solidcore can enforce limits on class enrollment to ensure the instructor has a machine to demonstrate with. But the way my experience went, I would not recommend this for pilates beginners, and I chose the low impact class.

Good facilities. Fabulous teachers (check out Ashley Zimmerman's class)!!! The entrance for first timers is a bit hard to find. Go to the back of the building. Other than that, the place is clean, full of energy and great equipment! Will definitely be back!
